Hong Kong Ramen in San Francisco ? The search for everything noodles and ramen has led me to go underground again to the International Food Court in San Francisco at FiDi to find some Hong Kong Ramen . It's rare to find anything descent of value in city for $10 or under these days. I found something in San Francisco that is rare and under $10: Hong Kong Ramen Noodles. T4 Malatom is inside the International Food Court in the FiDi which offers a true value for under $10 with the bowl of ramen made in a kitchen with the human touch and not by an automated ramen vending machine or a ramen making robot. The Hong Kong Ramen contained bok choy ,tasty broth, ramen noodles and a soft boiled egg. No symphony of noodle slurping here but slurp appropriate . I would say the bok choy and the broth were the star of this ramen bowl show. T4 offers Hong Kong ramen made straight from a kitchen pot, Made by human hands and not by a machine or robot

For a place with "Mala" in the name, the menu is mostly lacking the signature numbing spicy flavoring except for one dish. Instead, it kinda felt like the typical Americanized Chinese food menu. Prices are reasonable and portions are big, so it has that going for it.Crab Rangoon: Very weird. Not cream cheese filling, more like yellow cheese. And it didn't really have much crab.Fried Pot Stickers: Not pot stickers, since they never stuck to a pot, more like deep fried dumplings. And felt like they rushed since only the edges were crispy while the sides were kinda mushy.Orange Chicken: Crunchy and sweet and quite plentiful. Felt like the Panda Express variety. Not destination worthy, but did the trick for a quick meal.Fried Noodles: It was fine, pretty standard. Nice chewy texture.Mala Town: One of the only dishes that doesn't feel like something off the Panda Express menu. Definitely worth exploring. It's got a really great mala spicy kick to it. Plus tons of different meats and veggies, so you get many different tastes and and textures. I like the meaty meatballs the most and wasn't a fan of the squishy fishy fishballs. The thin slices of beef were nice while the pork chunks had a weird consistency. The shrimp was tasty, but only 2 or 3 of them. Though I think it's pretty high in sodium since I was quite thirsty for like 2 hours after lunch.

I was able to visit the International Food Court located on the corner of Bush and Kearny Streets for a quick lunch yesterday. I was really in the mood for some Asian food. I checked out T4 Malatom for the very first time and noticed that they served Singapore Noodle. I decided to give it a try and to order some Singapore Noodle; I really love Singapore Noodle. With my first bite of my order, I was pleasantly surprised that there was just the right amount of curry and the noodles were not overly greasy. I really enjoyed my meal. I would recommend this place if you are in this area and crave good Singapore Noodle.

Had the HK Ramen. Choice of bone or stock soup. When I tried asking a recommend of base I could tell the person didn't speak English so I chose stock. Comes with a touch above cup of soup noodles, boiled egg halves, seaweed, green onions, and 2 slices of pan fried spam. Reasonably priced and hot and filling but the big turnoff was when he grabbed his chopsticks to remove the spam, he dropped them on the floor, gave a quick rub on a rag and continued to place the slices in my bowl. The killer was that they were just basic wooden chopsticks. He should have just tossed them and pull out a fresh pair.

I ordered the crab rangoons. They weren't what I was expecting, instead of cream cheese it seemed to be sweetened condensed milk, and I'm not sure if it was crab or maybe mango instead? Didn't see any dessert on the menu, and I ordered on their tablet so I'm not sure if there could have been a mixup or what. Came out hot and with good service though.
