New fresh rice roll in the neighborhood!! Love how they have an online ordering system so you don't have to wait in line. Easy to use & super efficient. I ordered one brisket rice roll with corn and green onion. The other order was Minced pork with egg and corn. Super thin and fresh rice roll! The egg added an extra texture that was delicious. Done within 15 minutes from ordering on their website. There is a few window seating but mostly Togo orders is recommended.

Cheung Fun is S-tier for dim sum and one of my favorite items to order. It can sometimes be hard to find by itself at restaurants and can definitely take some skill to make at home. My fiancée and I were in the Sunset area when we saw this pop up on Yelp. It's a small shop on Irving with only 3 counter seats available, so your best bet is to do take out. However, we got lucky and got a seat just as another couple was leaving. If you order in-person it's cash only, but you can pay with card by ordering online or through their QR code. When ordering rolls they give you the option to add 2 toppings which is appreciated. We got the brisket rice roll with mushroom and cilantro, and the shrimp rolls with corn and green onion. Waited maybe 5-10 minutes and the rolls came out fresh. Brisket rice roll was unique in that it tasted like braised beef which reminded me of a clay pot. Perfect bite and toppings were well mixed. The light soy sauce, chili oil, and what looked to be a jalapeno/garlic soy sauce paired well with each bite.I thought I would still be hungry afterwards, but you get good value as each roll is only about $8-$9 and its filled to the brim.I hope they stay here a long time because I would definitely come back!

This is my second visit there. The first visit was a couple days ago. During my first visit, I was checking out the place. I found out they grind the rice themselves to make the rice batter so I ended up ordering. The rice rolls are made to order so you will have to wait for your order if ordering in person there. I ordered shrimp rice roll both visits. The rice roll was thin and had good size shrimps. The light soy sauce complemented well with the roll. I was excited when I saw mini sesame balls. I don't know any other Asian bakery/dim sum store sells mini size. The mini sesame ball dough was chewy and had right amount of red beans paste filling. My go-to fresh steamed rice roll place when I am in the neighborhood.

Came here since my favorite spot next door is closed for the next three weeks and noticed a sign advertising free soy milk with a $10.99 purchase on Tuesdays--lucky me. One of my go-to dim sum dishes is steamed rice rolls, so I decided to give this place a try.I ordered the beef rice roll with two free toppings: cilantro and green onions. The rice roll was fresh and thin, with the meat and toppings nicely layered inside. The light soy sauce complemented it well, soaking into the rice roll just right. I only wish they had sriracha that wasn't watered down. There are a few window seats if you want to dine in, but the spot mainly focuses on takeout. Ordering is easy with their QR code if you prefer to skip the line. They also have Chinese baked goods and traditional sweets available. I tried the ham sui gok and wouldn't get it again--the filling was good, but the exterior was overly oily, soggy, and cold. These are usually crispy outside and chewy inside, so if you do get them, I'd recommend refrying or air frying at home for the best experience. The cold soy milk was refreshing and not overly sweet, which was a nice touch. Overall, a solid spot if you're craving rice rolls in a pinch. With a few tweaks on their fried and baked items, this place could really stand out.

When I was a kid and went to dim sum, my favorite dish was Beef Chong fun with its slightly sweet soy sauce. Dim sum was priced based on how expensive each dish was (small, medium, large). Well, this dish was always expensive for some reason and I felt bad that my favorite dish was one of the more expensive ones. Well, now you can find stores that specialize in just this dish. Took a little while to get our order, but each dish is made from scratch and freshly made, so will take longer. This is just a hole in the wall store with 2 or 3 counter seats if you want to eat there. Overall the rice roll is nice and thin, so you can actually see the ingredients in there. You can also get 2 free additional adding. I got green onions and mushrooms. Tasted yummy and a little better than a good dim sum place! Will get some again!

Rushed over after watching an IG video about this place in the sunset. It's so hard to find great rice noodles outside of Chinatown in the city so I was very excited to try. Each dish is steamed fresh and it has such a soft texture without it being mushy. The noodles were silky! We wanted to try a variety so ordered the beef brisket, bbq pork, and fat beef slices. Some of the meat was a bit on the drier side so it was good that there was sauce. The sauce is a nice sweet soy sauce and there's plenty for the entire dish. It was nice that you can order 2 toppings for free. Definitely will be ordering from here again because it just feels so homey!Parking is not great on Noriega, but you can circle around a couple times and you'll get lucky. There's only 2 seats inside so I would suggest taking it to go and eating it as soon as you can so it's still warm.

I kid you not, I truly believe good soy sauce MAKES a good steamed rice roll. There's nothing more satisfying than the drizzle (or dump) of the entire container of soy sauce onto my rice roll. Even a mediocre streamed rice roll can be redeemed with good soy sauce. This place tops it all. Good soy sauce, amazing rice roll, and fresh toppings. All under $10. As a matter of fact, it was $8. But, this place is to-go only. (Which is probably the thing that's keeping the prices low.) The locals love this place and all of its appetizers and small treats. My mom also love their black sesame cakes. Hope this place remains a gem on Irving.

Really cool place for steamed rice rolls and prepared Chinese desserts. I really like their fatty beef slice filling as well as their BBQ pork rolls. The rice roll noodles are super thin and delicate and are my favorite I've had in the last few years.I love the convenience of getting nice rice rolls as takeaway and it's good value for like a full container of noodles, meat, and veggies for like around $10.They also have specials on Tuesdays/Thursdays (?)for bonus savings which is nice. The workers are patient with my indecisiveness and I don't feel judged for my lacking Chinese which is always appreciated
