We just have breakfast at the newly re-opened Seal Rock Inn Restaurant.Wow! What a difference 4 years and a new owner makes! I have never been a big fan of sourdough bread despite long time in SF, and I told the waitress that I didn't like sourdough. She told me she understood but that their sourdough was handmade in the French county style and was very different from anything I'd like ever had and so so should try. After all, she said, our chef IS French and he should know how to do it!I tried it and wow! I like sourdough now! At least theirs!

Such a pleasure to return to the Seal Rock Inn restaurant. Now under the fresh leadership of veteran restaurateur Alfred Schilling, the new menu features ingredients familiar to his native France. I enjoyed a Croque Madame with fresh orange juice, and with excellent service. Many years ago I was a regular lunch customer of Chef Schilling at his original chocolate shop and bistro on Market Street. It was great to see him again in this updated and lovely location with sweeping views of park and ocean. Bon appetit!

Seal rock Inn was always my wife and I go to place for breakfast. I almost always get eggs Benedict, so of course when we went this time I had to try the eggs Benedict to see how they compared to the restaurants old eggs Benedict. The food was very similar, taste was really good. Service was great. They use the different style ham now on the eggs Benedict, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The owner and Cook came up to see how our meal was, that was very nice of him. I would definitely recommend going there

So glad the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant has opened after 3 years in the dark. Just breakfast and lunch by a famous French chef. Urban living at its best at Lands End in San Francisco, a beautiful view of the ocean doesn't hurt. Thanks for opening! I'm getting happier because of you!

So happy to see this restaurant restored. Great Parisian decor and cuisine. The Pacific Ocean is your view as you dine. The staff are attentive. The menu is quite extensive compared to other dining options. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends. Oh yeah and the bathrooms are clean and amazing.

I went there today with a friend after hearing this was reopened by a French chef. I saw no sign of anything French. The ambiance is nice as are the bathrooms, but the food is nothing special. I ordered the burger that was overcooked as I had asked for medium rare. None of the wait staff ever came over to see how we were enjoying our meal, etc., but when the bill came they wanted an 18% tip....for what I am not sure. Whoever this French chef is better step up or this place will again be getting cobb webs.

A friend and I were excited to try here and always looking for a new breakfast place. Both were disappointed. Ordered Eggs Florentine without tomato- which although the server repeated the request.... there were tomatoes. The brioche bread didn't work for us...too bready and tasted old. Friend had mushroom ragout .. came on same brioche...seems everything does ? Server never checked in on us during the meal. Food looked good but was bland
