Pacific Smoke & PS Baked Goods

I'm always in search of that bakery that makes you crave for more. That bakery where you can sense the love and quality. That bakery that has that balance of flavors and innovative combinations, beyond the typical bakery selection. We found Pacific Smoke on a whim, since it was right near my hotel. I was on a work trip but my wife came along, so wanted to find her some fresh baked good for her morning coffee. Pacific Smoke is located inside Merkado restaurant, as a popup spot. Met Toby the owner, a very genuine person, and clearly a baker (and chef) that takes great care in his craft. He went above and beyond to accommodate us, he even made a quick delivery to us when he got a break in the action.He only uses the freshest ingredients, and what's seasonal. The banana bread is worth the price of admission alone. But the mochi muffins were bomb as well. This is a must try spot, can't wait to try more flavors next time and his lunch items as well!

Food and service was on point! Avocado Toast was delicious. Make sure you order their baked goods - Ube Mochi Muffins was one of the best we had. Pacific Smoke is located inside Merkado restaurant.

This place is BOMB! I enjoy the staff's friendliness and the unique flavors of their baked products, breakfast, and lunch options. The mochi muffins are my favorite!! Definitely recommend going in the morning before they sell out of the baked goods!

One of the finest hidden gems in the Bay. Everything from the bakery is a must try! There's no wrong choice from their corn bread, cookies, mochi muffins, or banana bread. Plus, I really love how they bring to the forefront the very best of Pacific Asian cuisine in their specials of the day. They take pride in Islander food and it shows in every dish.

My work holiday party used Pacific Smoke as caterer, provided them a budget and they suggested a lovely menu item including their BBQ meats like bbq chicken and pork ribs. The meats were flavorful, tender, and so delicious. We also had red rice which looked like Spanish rice or curried rice and it was perfectly cooked - not too dry as I was afraid it might be. Loved loved loved the marinated cucumber salad it added the perfect crunch to the meal. For dessert we had an assortment of PS's famous mochi donut pastries. My favorite was the pineapple flavored ones, but all were SO good. Everything was perfect: price, value, quantity, quality, and the delivery and setup were great too. Food arrived on time and everything was kept warm and nicely set up with all the items we need to serve. Definitely made it so much easier. Would highly recommend for any events and get-togethers. Thank you Pacific Smoke for making this year's work holiday celebrations stress free and extra special!

Update: went back to pacific smoke & ps baked goods & dined in. My family and I had to sit in a specific area so that we can order from both merkado & pacific smoke. We were immediately greeted by the waiter & were able to order the food quickly. The chicken and waffles were TO DIE FORRRRRRR. I kid you not - the way that the waffle just melts in your mouth is insane. The chicken was also amazing because there were no bones so it's a lot easier to eat, especially when you're hungry. The flavors just meshed together so well, & it was a masterpiece.

One of the best bakeries in the Bay Area! There are a huge variety of mochi muffins. Oh! the banana bread. They are very moist and flavorful. Must try!!!
