Great food with fast and friendly service. I found myself struggling to decide what to order because everything looked so good- we just walked in without reservations at noon (although we saw a big line a few minutes after we went in)- the interior was popping, lots of nice decor and filled with people- the garlic noodles were great and the waiter recommended the honey pork

I come here OFTEN. Very very very often. Their fried rice is the best, but i'm trying to eat everything on the menu so maybe i'll change my mind later here are some food ratings:garlic noodle bowl with steak, 8/10 - so yummy but i think i should try a different protein bc the steak is just ok! however so yum for the price crispy chicken fried rice, 9/10 - i think i ate this in 5 min ngl omelette fried rice, 10/10 - pls tell me how you make this i gotta know the service here is always great! i've had small issues with my food before but i think the service makes up for it. the restaurant itself is pretty small so the ambiance is just okay but it's a go to spot for my lunch break!

Mr. East Kitchen is an absolute gem for brunch in San Francisco--easily a solid five-star spot! The food is consistently delicious, the ambience is nice, and the service is warm and friendly. We've been here multiple times now, and every dish we've tried has been excellent. One of my favorites was the pink dalgona coffee they had for Valentine's Day--such a fun and tasty treat! For food, we tried the crispy chicken fried rice and the Thai tea French toast. While the fried rice was fantastic, the real standout was the Thai tea French toast. It was nothing like what we expected but in the best way possible- unique, and absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a brunch spot in SF, I highly recommend Mr. East Kitchen. Everything about this place makes it worth coming back to!

Had a great brunch here! Went on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't crowded at all, so my group was seated right away. We ordered a mix of dishes: Tom Yum Omelette, Saigon Steak, Pink Dalgona Coffee, Iced Butterfly Lychee Fizz, Thai Milk Tea, Thai Tea French Toast Combo, and Vietnamese Dalgona Coffee. Everything came out beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The Tom Yum Omelette was a standout with shrimp inside, and the side salad was super fresh. Portions were generous too! I loved my Pink Dalgona Coffee, super cute and flavorful, with a nice strong coffee taste. The server was also really attentive, which was a nice touch. Will definitely be back!

Mr. East is one of my favorite brunch spots in SF! The outside is a little unassuming but the inside is welcoming & has a modern decor vibe. After taking the Caltrain up to the city we walked over from the station since it's only about 10 minutes away. We were immediately sat & started with some of their specialty drinks (pink dalgona & strawberry matcha) which were really tasty & super cute! The dalgona even came with strawberry hearts which is perfect since Valentine's is right around the corner. The food was also great - our favorites were the Thai Tea French Toast & Pandan Waffles w Fried Chicken. I was a little skeptical of the chicken & waffles tbh because a lot of places are good but not great. However I was so pleasantly surprised, literally crunch asmr as I bit into it lol.

Not only was the food incredible, but the service was phenomenal! Our server repeatedly checked on us and upon overhearing that we were celebrating two birthdays, he told us that he would bring us some dessert after our meal to celebrate. My friend had also mentioned wanting to make rice at home to eat her leftovers later that night. Our server overheard and brought her a scoop of rice to go! The food we ate was so delicious. I had the Tom yum omelette fried rice and I would order it again if I could. The filling had large shrimp, sautéed peppers and onions, and tom yum paste. The omelette was topped with their sriracha bacon (sweet/mild heat and you can order a side of it if your meal doesn't come with it). Our table also shared their special French toast which had a delicious strawberry compote on top. To drink, I had the lychee refresher - not too sweet and came with two pieces of lychee fruit. The dessert that the server gave us was fried bananas with ice cream. I seriously cannot express how great of an experience we had here on a Sunday for brunch. I am already planning my next trip back (they are near Bart for anyone who doesn't like driving in the city as an FYI).

Absolutely loved and enjoyed this place so much for brunch! The only thing is their yelp waitlist didn't really work or they weren't updating it, but we got seated decently quickly after coming in. We got the crispy veggie roles for apps which was soo good, loved the crunch texture and soft fillings inside. We shared the Thai tea French toast which was so so yummy and I'm not even super into Thai tea but this flavor pairing was so delicious and also loved the fruit on the side. We also got the drunken noodle which wasn't really the typical thick pad kee mao that you get at a Thai spot - it was chow mein noodles, but we actually ended up loving the flavors since it felt more like a sweet/savory brunch vibe! So yummy and we finished everything. I was disappointed though that none of the coffees could be made decaf. My friend got the dalgona coffee which was really yummy too. I'd love to come back and try more! Service was also fantastic, they brought everything out super fast and all the waiters were friendly and sweet (one was particularly humorous and really made the experience even more great)!!

This unassuming little cafe delivers exceptional brunch with a fusion flare! The dishes are very unique and all are delicious. The shrimp Benedict was amazing -- shrimp cooked perfectly, not chewy or overdone and the hollandaise was perfect. The crispy chicken fried rice was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly light and crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The dipping sauce was sweet and savory and the rice was perfect Thai fried rice. Service was prompt and friendly, too. It is small inside and perfect for a couple or small group (3-4) for brunch.

The best Thai fusion brunch place in SOMA. I'm usually not a fan of fusion cuisine. This place tool me away. The service is unmatched as well as pricing.

My wife and I came in here on a Saturday. We made reservations the day before. Walked in, and was immediately seated. Restaurant was full, and a long line started to form after we were seated. Noise level is on the loud side, but nothing too bad. We ordered:Saigon Steak 4/5 - Plated beautifully. Came with a salad, crispy potatoes, garlic bread, steak and over easy egg on top. The steak was tender with a strong Hoisin flavored sauce. Garlic bread was really good for sopping up the tasty sauce around the steak. Crispy potatoes were excellent. I ended up finishing up the entire plate. Thai Tea French Toast 3.5/5 - This was also beautifully plated. Was cooked well, crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. The Thai Tea syrup was provided in a cup on the plate. We prefer our syrup to be a bit more sweeter than it actually was, but was good nonetheless. Most likely would try the Berry Crunch French Toast next time.Overall, service is good and attentive. The fusion of Thai, Vietnamese and American brunch was intriguing. I would come back. One suggestion, avoid parking in the lot one block up the street, that states $20. That is cash only price. I paid via SpotHero, which ended up costing $31.75 to park for about 1 hour.
