We came to Metro Hong Kong for dessert at 7pm and it was one of the few spots in.chinatown that is still very lively at this hour. Not only was the dessert very fresh and not the sweet (the ultimate dessert compliment), the owner was so friendly and funny. We had a great time and look forward to coming back!

Small restaurant seems family owned. Little staff, huge menu, low prices. Ordered the wonton noodle soup ~11$ and two beef roll dishes ~7-8$. Got a milk tea and mango sago from Chinese night market 10/10 drink and price.Wonton noodle soup was a big serving for good price classic flavor 6 wontons each was juicy and tasty 9/10Beef rolls had beef kinda spread out( prob to make up for the cheaper price) still great. Loved the size of this. 7-8$ for a dish that could be enough for one person. Staff was very friendly would come again

Hai Nan chicken rice was pretty good! I had it Togo to share with my baby girl! The portion was pretty big. The bottom was all full of rice and topped with a good portion of well marinated chicken, broccoli and peanuts! Also came with their well known ginger on the side as dipping sauce for the chicken! There's also boba and desserts that I would try next time! It's a unique cafe and not too big but there are a few tables there.

This is my favorite sit down food spot in Chinatown and I'm always recommending it to my friends! I first came here for desserts only and this is one of the few places that you can dine-in for desserts. Food: Second time around, I ordered the savory dishes (congee w/ Chinese donut, chicken fried rice, xiao long bao) and loved those as well. Though the har gow, sio mai, and egg rolls weren't my favorite. The textures were off and there are definitely other spots in Chinatown that do this better. It wasn't listed, but the egg roll also had no meat in it. My favorite dessert is the Grass Jelly Taro Ball, which is served cold with chunks of taro, red bean, grass jelly, boba, and rice cakes; and the Mango PancakeThey won't have all the dessert menu items every day, so you'll just have to ask which items are available. AMBIANCE: Feels just like sitting in grandma's house. The vibe is both cozy and eccentric. The employees are super nice as well. They take other cash & card but there is a fee to use card.

Metro Hong Kong offers great service and a welcoming atmosphere. We tried their dim sum offerings, and everything was fresh & flavorful. The staff was attentive and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. Whether you're a dim sum lover or looking to explore classic Hong Kong cuisine, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

I'm glad we stopped here because they had great prices and my matcha and red bean drink was earthy and delicious. That being said, their jasmine milk tea was watered down and tasted artificial and the wait was far too long . It took us over 30 minutes to get a few drinks. They were serving food as well and it looked pretty good so perhaps this is a better choice if you're hungry and if you have time to spare but my feet got tired from waiting and even with the yummy red bean, I don't know if I would return as there are so many great places to choose from in Chinatown.

Metro HK is unassuming on the outside but amusingly serves an eclectic range of food - from dessert (as the name suggests) to HK classics (like cheung fun) and pizza? Would recommend ordering:-Grass jelly taro balls: A lot better than meet fresh; the taro chunks were huge and perfectly cooked. The taro and sweet potato balls were also very flavorful and chewy.-Hainan chicken rice: Was not expecting to come across good Hainan chicken here at all but their chicken was very tender and had bouncy skin; rice was well seasoned as well! -Brisket rice rolls: I've never had cheung fun made with brisket before but now am a huge fan of the texture Pass on:-Egg cheung fun: didn't have that much flavor imo; think adding in a little minced meat would have helped with the texture and flavorThey're on DoorDash, people!! Will be my go to spot for Taiwanese dessert now
