I had seen many reviews on this place and was excited to try it. I didn't realize it was at the ferry building but did see that they close around 7 PM so make sure you get there early for dinner. We arrived around 6 PM on a Wednesday night And the place was pretty packed. They do have a lot of seating but people seem to love this place. They had availability at the bar so we took it; you first order at the cash register and then they serve you at your table. We ordered the crispy chicken with rice (bai cha) and the kuy teav Phnom Penh (pork broth with noodles). Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was super crispy and it came with a vinegar like sauce and rice and a side of broth, and the pork broth with noodles was super flavorful, and a decent amount of pieces of ground and sliced pork. We noticed a lot of of people ordering the wings so that's next on my list. Can't wait to go back. I also wanted to add that the restaurant itself seems very well organized so they have a good flow when it comes to preparing food and serving it .

Really enjoyed my meal! It is a casual dining experience and service is quick. We got the pepper beef with rice and pork noodle soup. The ingredients were simple, high quality, and fresh. The beef was cooked to perfection and so flavorful! The noodle soup was so homey and savory. The food had the quality of being a delicious home cooked meal. I will be back!Bonus points for the old school Jay Chou music playing in the background. :)

Cute Cambodian spot in the Ferry Building! We came for a Saturday lunch and they were so busy that they said they could only accommodate to-go, unless we got lucky and found an open seat.I enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the yellow curi with fried chicken & the KTPP soup noodle. The yellow curi is coconut-y and similar to Thai curry. Will try to come back when it's less hectic to try the dry version of the KTPP.

There's a reason this place is always packed! The food was so rich and flavorful! There were native Cambodian people giving personal compliments to the chef while we were dining. The pork noodle soup was my personal favorite and will be one of my go-to dishes to warm me up in this winter season. The space is pretty tight, but turnover and service is quick!

Was staying nearby for a work business trip and needed a quick meal. The KTPP was just the delicious and comforting soup you want on a very cold San Francisco evening. Really appreciated the large protein portions as well (3 kinds of meat).Fast and great service and easy to get a seat on weekday evening. I'll be back!

Bright and colorful, this small Cambodian spot in the Ferry Building is probably the fastest made-to-order meal you can find nearby. The staff is young but eager, bringing the food out quickly (which is okay for one or two people, but could cause staggered eating for larger groups).Seating is limited -- while we were able to find a table immediately, our entire meal was spent with groups hovering right next to us watching and waiting to snag a table. It was, honestly, quite uncomfortable (though understandably there's not a whole lot Lunette can do about it, still wish there could have been more seating -- or at least more privacy). The food itself was flavorful and fun. If you haven't had Cambodian before, think of it as a cross between Chinese and Thai -- lots of warm sauces and thick curries. Yum! The Cha Kroeung (spicy chicken with lemongrass) was the clear favorite -- it was striking and flavorful, warming us up after a cold morning at the farmer's market. We also ordered the Loc Lak (salt and pepper beef) at the behest of The Infatuation SF, but honestly it didn't live up to their hype. The beef was chewy and oily, and while the lime sauce was good there wasn't enough to compensate for the otherwise bland dish. To be fair, the counter service attendant recommended the Pork Noodle Soup as their #1 dish, but my dining partner doesn't eat pork so we opted to try something else. I won't go out of my way to try this again, but if I find myself at Lunette in the future then this is the dish I'd give a try. Overall, it's not a bad choice, but has some issues in the menu and seating area that could be worked out.

We came here after watching Nite Yun's story on Chef's Table and we were not disappointed. It was my first time trying Cambodian food and I absolutely loved it. The KTPP's broth was amazing - it was deep but not heavy, a little vinegar-y? It was such an unexpected flavor but so hearty. You get a good amount of noodles and you will be full. This is in the ferry building so it can feel busy with people walking by you but the red plastic trays, plastic utensil holders all make you feel like you're eating at a street food stall. I really loved those little details. I'm already craving the KTPP as I'm writing this - the worker told me she has this everyday for lunch and I can see why she wouldn't get tired of it. Also would recommend you to watch the Netflix episode where you'll learn more about Nite's story behind this dish and it'll make it even more meaningful.

#25 Dry with crack sauce.IFYKYK. If you're looking for a #25 Dry with crack sauce replacement since Hà Nam Ninh in the TL closed, Lunette got you!Opening in June 2024, Lunette is from award winning chef, Nite Yun who was recently featured on Netflix's Chef's Table: Noodles. Never had the chance to visit her highly acclaimed resto, Nyum Bai (Oakland) before it closed in 2022. Lunette is open for takeout and indoor dining only. You can order to go and eat at the communal tables outside with waterfront views. Fast-casual service. Order, pay, seat yourself, and bus your own table after you're finished. Self-serve water. M E N USmall, seasonal menu with Cambodian/Khmer eats: snacks/apps, rice plates, and noodle soups/dishes. Bottled drinks available (no liquor). It's the Ferry Building so premium prices for the portion sizes. F O O D* Khmer Fried Chicken: Salt & Kampot Pepper Fried Chicken (5 pc - $16): https://tinyurl.com/4t43ywyaGreat fry, the brined meaty wings were golden brown, crunchy, and juicy. Light coating, neither oily or heavy. The KFC is similar to Chinese S&P Wings with a citrusy, floral notes from the kampot pepper. Not too salty. The sweet soy from the KTTP and the tableside hot sauce made for a good dipping sauce. * "KTTP Dry": Rice noodles, shrimp, pork three ways, crispy garlic, cilantro, scallions, sweet soy dressing, broth on the side ($21): https://tinyurl.com/4nk2znwh- Request sauce on the sideLunette's Kuy Teav Phnom Penh aka Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang aka 粿條 (Teochew) wasn't perfect but IMO, quality-wise, it was a notch above the local mom and pop shops serving the Viet and/or Teochew versions in SF and SJ (haven't tried any shops in Oakland). I like my noodles chewy and the thin rice noodles were overcooked and soft. But, the toppings were on point - two plump shrimp, two slices of tender lean pork, savory ground pork, and crunchy fried chicharrón-like pork. The sweet soy was bold, flavorful, and umami-rich. I'm glad I asked for it on the side to control the sodium content. The tableside hot sauce was mildy spicy with a tang. Wish they had a spicier option or pickled chilies for those who like it really spicy. For dry (kohok) style, the broth is served on the side. Pork-bone based, it was rich and complex tho quite salty. I usually have trouble finishing my noodle bowl but you don't get much protein and noodles here. If I didn't order an app, I wouldn't have left full. S E R V I C EFriendly and fast! Arrived at opening time with no line and order was ready in less than 5 minutes. A M B I A N C ERetro AZN diner and night market vibes with red pendant lights + stools and an open kitchen. There's 10 tables, 1 communal table, and chef's counter seating. P A R K I N GTake public transit or a rideshare. Nearest parking lot is across the street at 201 Embarcadero (Seawall Lot) - $15 for two hours, $20 flat fee after 4 pm.Overall, I enjoyed the Khmer food at Lunette and get the hype but cost is a factor for return visits. Unless you have a small appetite, $47+ after tip for an app and noodle bowl for a fast-casual model is a lot but that's the Ferry Building for you.
