It has been a few years since a new pastry shop has really impressed me. We are in a city that has spoiled us.Yet le dix-sept elevated the experience to a different level. The cannele was the perfect texture, the best I've had. The merengue was impossibly airy and light. The bread pudding had a great flavor. They also had a few gluten free items that my partner really loved.

We picked up a Mothers Day box for our first time trying this patisserie. The box contained 6 items so, with the additional purchase of two canelés, we thought this would be a good way to get an idea of Le Dix-Sept offerings. For us, the pistachio strawberry tart was the clear standout. Creamy pistachio filling full of flavor, a tasty crust and fresh strawberries. Absolutely delicious. 10/10. I also liked the rhubarb brioche quite a lot. My SO didn't care for the tart flavor but he tends to prefer very sweet items. With that in mind, he thought the berry butterscotch bar was great as well. We both appreciated the buttery frosting and the bright and sunny citrus flavor of the kumquat chamomile cake. It was quite rich which resulted in a bit of sensory overload for both of us. Very good but intense.Sadly, the canele were a no for both of us. I love canele's and unfortunately I felt that these were too darkly baked. So, there's something for just about everyone. I would definitely go out of my way for the tart again.Staff was very pleasant and helpful. A very nice experience!

So much anticipation for cute bakery in Potrero Hills that doesn't just sell croissants and pastries. We tried 2 things and one was a winner and the other was a huge miss. The passion fruit almond tart ($8) was fantastic! Rich passion fruit flavors really complimented the almond tart and I have to say is quite original. We also tried the cannele, which was soooo disappointing. Even on the display stand it looked almost black but since this is supposedly one of their signature items, I gave it a shot. Unfortunately the black is burnt cannele and since the cannele is tiny in size, the ratio of burnt to not burnt was almost 50/50. At $4.50 each, this is a huge miss! Honestly I am quite confused whether I just didn't get a good one. You can try for yourself by be warned! The drink menu looked good and will be back to try. Other baked items included focaccia $10, pizza slice $12, matcha coconut cookie $7, plum cake $9. Overall prices are quite high. Store is very cute but it is just a small counter and sadly the seating is outside on the curb. There are some other merch for sale like Maldon sea salts and masa corn. Overall, it's worth a revisit for me, though I wouldn't travel across town for it though. While the name is French, it is not exactly a French bakery so keep that in mind and the selection is limited.

Good cupcake but not amazing. I love black sesame and feel like it was a bit on the light side on the cupcake. The buttercream flavor overpowers the black sesame flavor but it was a good buttercream. It also hovered between salt and sweet and took a bit away from the black sesame taste that I could only subtly taste. Staff is so sweet. Would recommend and support small bakeries and small businesses! I love how they cutely decorated their window and storefront. Also, I don't think the cupcake was worth the price though. Hard for me to justify a $7 cupcake regularly unless it was amazing.

Service and ambiance are amazing - love the cute space and fun retail items for sale. The desserts are really healthy tasting. So if buckwheat chocolate with sesame seeds is your thing - they've got GF brownies for you. The little rum cake bite "cannele" was so yummy! I'd pass on the almond tart passion fruit - not worth the calories. And super pricey but they gotta pay for that expensive rent!

Le Dix-Sept Patisserie has a good amount of pastries, made with top-notch ingredients, that are quite tasty. The coffee was also nice and the staff is very friendly. It's a nice little spot for a coffee and pastry on a sunny day.

The best bakery in San Francisco. It's only open for a few hours and only on the weekends unfortunately but the baked goods are exceptional. The almond passion fruit tart is perfectly sweet. The cacio e pepe focaccia is very well made but it would be even better if toasted.

The pastries are gluten or alternative flour ones. The shop is cute with a pretty front patio. They look good too. The best item I tasted was a matcha coconut cookie (moist, flavorful and chewy). The cardamom chocolate chip cookie was heavy in texture. It is most likely the flour used.A cake slice I bought also had a heavy texture. The butter cream was delicious though.Very pricey!Service is very nice!

came here in anticipation of the seasonal beignets, but was told they only do that in summer. bummer, but I was recommended the blueberry lemon-thyme loveknot, which turned out really nice and soft after being heated up. the thyme provided nice fragrance, but the lemon could be stronger. all the pastries are pretty pricey in general, but they do take on more interesting flavors.also tried the chaga matcha because it looked interesting with the mushroom addition. it didn't taste different from a normal matcha latte but the benefits of the superfood sound nice there was too much ice, in my opinion, so the actual drink filled probably half the cup and went down really fast. the matcha itself was nice and strong though, and pretty smooth when mixed with the oat milk. overall, $8 is on the high end for a normal matcha latte but if you're keen in the novelty of the chaga, give it a shot! there are also other unique chaga based drinks and normal drinks.
