This was my first time at the particular Thai restaurant and I was happy to find out there's no MSG in there pad Thai!! I wanted to order a soup also but I wasn't too sure how I could eat that at the beach so to be safe, I just ordered the shrimp pot and it was delicious and filling, and I ate the whole serving which is probably enough for four people to share Along with other dishes! Lol I was completely stuffed and I'm glad I was able to walk 3 miles on the beach but OMG that was my lunch and dinner! I did however notice the shrimp tasted like they had salt on them, but I'm picky and I don't like the flavor of salt. I'm that weirdo that can taste granule of salt in a chocolate chip cookie. Lol so I'm glad this particular company took the time to actually Season the shrimp before it was grilled in a separate dish while making the pad Thai. Restroom was also very clean and I liked the up-to-date/modern decor! I would love to come back here again and I definitely want to try their mango sticky rice!! It looks delicious!!My husband and I were able to find parking out in front with the meters and our puppies in the car and we were able to be on our way in seven minutes tops! So we were very impressed with the service and our lunch/dinner! Lol 15 bucks a plate isn't too bad for two meals since we were so full we didn't eat dinner! Lol

It's an old authentic casual Thai restaurant close to Union square. Location is great for shopping and eating out. Food is delicious with good portions. Variety of Thai cuisine and drinks. Good selection of veggie options.Service was quick and responsive.Atmosphere is just a quick eatery place good for travelers.Paid public parking available. Accessible.

After returning from our vacation without any food at home, we decided to order Thai cuisine instead of overpaying for airport sandwiches. I picked this place, not even checking their Yelp reviews. They included egg rolls as a complimentary gift, which we enjoyed, although I hadn't tried them before, so I can't fully judge their quality.The soups we ordered didn't visually live up to the pictures, but the taste was actually good. We chose the hot versions, and they delivered a satisfying level of spice, which we appreciated as spice lovers.While the food was enjoyable, especially for those who like heat, I wouldn't go as far as to give them 5 stars. I'm leaning between 3 and 4, primarily because I don't feel inclined to order from them again.

My wife and I have been eating here for years and years. However, I noticed that lately the food has been inconsistent in terms of flavors and spiciness. My usual order is the pad kee mao with chicken medium spicy. Today, I ordered "mild" and it was slicer than the usual medium and I could not eat it. The waitress asked if everything was ok and I informed her that the dish was too spicy for me. She walked away without a word but returned shortly and asked if I wanted it redone. I declined and asked for the check. Paid and left, leaving most of the food behind. My wife informed me that the rice for her curry was old and hard. We ended up getting slices of pizza at golden boy up the street. Doubt that we will be going back to king of Thai anytime soon. Too bad...

Conveniently located on Taraval. Quick and easy Thai food. We usually get pad see ew or duck noodle soup. This past weekend picked up some dessert. Mango sticky rice also pretty good. All reasonably priced. Service is ok and ambiance is a tad dated.

The Tom Kha Gai (Chicken) and Green Curry were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. This place is a winner!I've ordered from them through Grubhub four times now. $43.35 for Tom Kha Gai (Chicken) and Green Curry isn't cheap, but it is worth it. It is the best Thai I've had since going to Marnee Thai years ago.
