What a great place!!After many years being closed, this Historic Irish Pub & Grill finally reopened under new ownership. I was there for the Grand Reopening for St.Patricks Day last March and have been back many times ever since...The food is delish, original Irish Pub fares, and full bars. The staff is super friendly and professional. Great atmosphere to hold special occasion dinner parties or just to hang out with friends and family. Plus, a destination to hang out watching sports events with many tv screens throughout the two large dining rooms and 2 full bars.Favorite destination downtown!! My new hangout destination!! A++++Go check it out, say 'Hi' and stay for a pint of Guinness... and more!!

Here's the thing: a review on Yelp tells you more about the writer than the business. For me, stepping back into Harrington's is like hugging a friend you haven't seen for years. I've been going to this joint for literally decades. How long, you ask? A story: one day my high school buddy Alberto and I decide to meet there for a drink. I confess I don't have cash on me and ask if he can cover. He's skint too. This is a very long time ago. You may want to sit down for this part: it was before ATMs. If you needed cash for the weekend, you had to go to the bank before 3pm on Friday, or else you were impecunious for the duration. Alberto and I pool our cash and find we have about 3 bucks. Harrington's was selling an oil can of Foster's for - $2.75 So we shared one and left. When I walked through those doors on Friday, of course I'm emotional and relieved. Because of all the memories. See the 3rd weird photo here? That shows the shelf in the corner where a TV used to sit, before there were flat screens. The set was about 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep, hence the shelf. Probably had to stand on a chair to change the channel. The new TV is a definite improvement, as is the new fancy ceiling, but most things have been left alone by the new management. The server Finola says she was there before, the ones I remember are Joanne, Jennifer, and "the young one" Jeannette. She was efficient and easy to talk to. Drinks were good, the menu is slimmed down but looked to be the standard Harrington's fare. The pandemic and general en&*^%ification of San Francisco has cost us many institutions and excellent places to go. To see Harrington's rise from the ashes, albeit with new management, is a red-letter day for downtown drinkers and diners.

Harrington's, once again opening its doors, stands as a beacon in San Francisco's Financial District, defying the soothsayers' doom and their gloomy forecasts with its vibrant return. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the chicken club sandwich substantial, the tots perfectly crispy, and the Guinness expertly poured. Harrington's return is not just about great food and drinks; it's a beacon of hope for the city's vibrant future. It symbolizes San Francisco's unwavering spirit and serves as a rallying cry for a community poised for an onward and upward journey. This moment encapsulates the city's ability to rise, time and again, capturing the essence of its resilience and the tight-knit community at its core.

It was alright. Our server was nice. I had the Cobb salad. It was good. Nothing special. Drinks were expensive with a very light pour, so that was pretty disappointing. It's a cute place and I appreciate its history, but I don't think I would go back again.

Bad service and a the food was a rip off. After being told the order would take 15 min to make I wasn't even offered a glass of water while I waited. I paid $18 for a shepherds pie that looked half eaten. Ambiance would be better if the staff didn't get so overwhelmed by the lunch rush. I was looking forward to this place reopening, but I'm very disappointed.

BEST IRISH BAR IN THE CITY!! First off, the drinks AND food are both amazing. My favorite dish is the smash burger with a nice cold modelo in a frosty mug :) The service is so good also! The whole staff was so nice. Our server was super helpful and sweet. bartenders were very cool and make great cocktails. So stoked it's back open and it's better than ever !
