I've been coming to this restaurant through many ownership changes through the years, the best part is the food has remained consistent through the many changes. I would normally order their curry dish of some kind but I didn't this time. I did order my customary bittermelon though, it's hard to not order bittermelon when a restaurant has it on their menu. What you are getting is a very no nonsense Chinese dishes that don't deviate on their good consistency.

Don't go here if you expect prices on the menu to be the same on the receipt! While the menus itself already have many changes (they just covered old prices with paper/stickies), they charged us completely different prices on the bill and when we confronted them, they said they changed prices but didn't update some of the menus. This lowkey gotta be illegal. We ordered 2 dishes: Satay Beef Fried Noodle and Baked Pork and Chicken Spaghetti with red sauce. When we were ordered the Baked item, they told us that the item came with a drink like insinuating that the drink was free. The menu did say that a cold drink was $2 (confusing because they scratched a part of the menu out and then covered with a paper saying it was $2) so we thought hot drinks would be free and got a Hong Kong styled Milk Tea. It was not. Then, they charged us differently for both items??? extreme confusing Anyways, we will not be coming back.

First of all I want to clarify that my rating is based on the food yummy level and speed of the service. This is a HK cafe, like most Chinese restaurants, you should not expect 5 stars services and dining ambience. Solely based on what I've experienced at lunch on a regular Friday, I'm happy to give 4 stars out of 5 because 1/ my server was very attentive and she was very helpful with my order, and 2/ I really enjoyed my meal - the pork chop was very flavorful and tender, the rice was cooked perfectly and served warm-hot (some places serve you cold steamed rice...), the HK ice lemon tea tasted great, just like what I used to have in HK. I'd def come back again for more!

It's more of a 3.5 stars. I am not sure why it's getting one star on many reviews. We dropped by yesterday for lunch and we ordered Tomatoes Beef over Crispy noodles and it's solid like many HK cafes. We also ordered Rock Cod with Corn Sauce over rice, it's was very good as well. I think the trick is to order the more authentic HK style food over the typical so-call Chinese dishes. Their HK milk tea was good as well. The service was ok and the ambiance can be a little cleaner.NOTE: Cash Only!

This has to be one of the best House Special Hong Kong style crispy noodles $14.50 I've had on San Bruno Avenue. They were about to close 7pm when I walked in at 6:36pm. Luckily, I knew what I wanted to eat and ordered without looking at menu. Last call is supposed to be at 6:30pm for dine-in. My food came out within 10 mins. The first bite of the crispy noodles put a smile on my face. This had enough wok flavor and they didn't skimp on the ingredients. The minced garlic was a nice touch. Service was OK. I felt rushed and not really welcomed. The staff was mopping up the restaurant while customers were still inside.

My friend told me that this restaurant has a very good dishes. I looked it up on Yelp, it only has two and half stars. I said let's try something else. Then, my friend said give it a try. Then .... Guess what ~ The foods are tasteless except Sweet and Sour Pork is so sweet. I would not recommend :(

It's still called 2546 Cafe and it's open, even google said it's permanently closed. First, it's almost impossible to find parking. Second, they only take cash, No card machine at all!! Lastly, I was there to get some HK style breakfast but unfortunately they don't serve those anymore, just regular Chinese/HK dishes.P.S. I couldn't rate for the food and service.

Was feeling like Chinese food ....but knowing that a majority of Chinese places is "cash only" , I decided to hop on door dash to find a place to order (debit card lost). This place popped up and I was happy since I use to come here due to cheap and decent food.Placed my order for a beef and broccoli and scrambled eggs with beef (no rice since I can cook it myself)....and it came out to 43.00 ouch. Whatever, placed my order and was quoted 28mins .I get to the restaurant and told them I was picking up my order from door dash. Lady tells me they don't do door dash and that I can order now . I told them what I wanted to order and they said it will be 52.00.....During this interaction, there was another employee sitting there talking a lot of crap about me in Chinese. I don't look Chinese, but I do understand. I just walked out the door and went to the taqueria across the street. I forgot the name of this place, but it was A1.
