Fire 2 Smoke

Had some very nice smoked beef cheekTacos today while visiting the Laughing Monk Brewey!

Had the beef cheek from Fire 2 Smoke and it proved to be really tender. It was well seasoned and smoked to perfection, but it was a dry barbecue and I guess I prefer barbecue with a sauce. The beef came with raw onions and two slices of white bread, neither of which I ate. I also bought a serving of coleslaw and that was delicious. I got my husband half a rack of ribs; it, too, didn't have any sauce. I'm sure the folks who prefer a dry barbecue will love Fire 2 Smoke (since it's still pretty good without the sauce), but I think I'd stick with the finger lickin' saucy stuff! If only it included even a side of barbecue sauce!!

Enjoyed some delicious brisket and pulled pork at Laughing Monk Brewery. Potato salad was also stand out. Friendly owner.

My favorite BBQ in the city! This place is quality food from the smoked meats to the sides. I keep coming back for more. The meat is so juicy, tender, flavorful and falls right off the bone. It just melts in your mouth. And did I mention that this food truck is 100% solar powered and that the owner/cook Don is the man! He is extremely welcoming and friendly. You can taste the passion in his food.

Excellent BBQ at great prices. The cheese appetizer was amazing. The Brisket and Pork were amazingly juicy and flavorful. Some of the best bbq I've had recently. Seek them out!

We met Don in the Sunset and tasted some of his beef short ribs - they were perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender - absolutely mouthwatering. Can't wait to find him when he has his food truck out and have some more!

Tried this place on a Thursday in the Anchor Steam beer garden. Service was amazing. The cole slaw is absolute fire. I think I could make a meal out of that alone. They also have a ritz cracker and smoked cheese dish which is out of this world. I don't know where the tiny pickles come from but they are amazing. Pretty impressive that these simple things are done so incredibly well. Thank you for an amazing meal!
