Dynamo Donut & Coffee

A solid dounough all around for a reasonable price.The dounout itself was soft with no taste of oil. The glaze was a orange and ginger which sounds like it could be a lot but it was saddle and delicious. While nothing blew me away about it, it is a solid choice on your way to work.It's all walkup so not much for atmosphere but you probably aren't looking for that if your just on the go anyway. The staff is really friendly and the dounoughts are pre-made so everything is super fast. Even though they are pre-made, they are super fresh. A great choice for an on the go donought if your in the area.

TLDR: Yes, these aren't your $1 Safeway donuts, tgod!!! If you want a bargain and care less about flavor, go somewhere else *shrug*Longer:Taking stars away because you think the price tag is high is just silly. Quality comes at a cost. This neighborhood is transitional, and with that, comes variety. The beauty of that fact = there are many options within this block, and if Dynamo ain't your cup of tea, you don't have to walk far for other options.I love the color scheme of their exterior and the complimentary (vintage?) carafes housing the milk/mylks for (black) coffees+teas. I can imagine the back patio being the perfect spot to curl up in the sun with a drink, shaded from the wind that's whipping outside.On our visit, donut flavor options were plentiful, and we had a hard time choosing. We asked the barista for their suggestion, and got one they suggested, and one that was calling my name (lemon anything-sign me up!!!) Seemed some of the flavors were seasonal, while others were more classic; a little something for everyone, no doubt!Boyfriend suggested the lavender latte, and while I'm usually more of a dry cappucino kinda gal, this was a decadent treat I savored on our walk home in the sun.11/10 recommend checking out if you're in the area looking for:- a cozy place to indulge in a (sweet and/or coffee) treat- a donut that might be a little "different" than what you'd find at Safeway, Bob's, or Krispy Kreme- a fun, flavorful spin on classic coffee drinks

The donuts looked good but tasted just fine. The filling was too sugary for me. The dough was a bit too dense. I might try them again, but not in a hurry. They were just average.

* date visited: 07.28.2024 * ordered: caramel donut and blueberry lavender phone did not eat first but this was really good (for someone who doesn't even like donuts like that) caramel was a little too sweet for me but i'm a sucker for a blueberry donut. the blueberries were so juicy and sweet and paired beautifully with the lavender flavor. will be back to try other seasonal/interesting flavors.

Mixed up my order and tried Dynamo's weekly special filled donut - Apple Pie and it was delicious! The apple pie filling was fresh and not too sweet and each bite had the perfect amount. The crumble topping added a nice texture. I will definitely try more filled donuts.

With time and trial it's finally time I wrote up this reviews. I've visited this location and the Marina location atleast 20 times over the past 4 years. It is my intention that this will aid in your decision of where to grab a good ol' cup of joe and dough when visiting the Mission district.Here's what I have to share:Dynamo is a FANTASTIC coffee shop and pastry shop. While I have not dined in, a few times while waiting for my drink, I have sat in the interior area, fluorescent pink tile lines the walls, with a view of the baking going on if you sit on the bench against the wall.They had a 4/20 deal on donut holes this year that was totally a steal for the variety of flavors & the quantity provided at $10 for a box! Which made for a dope pre-swim munch! I have yet to be disappointed by a drink that I have ordered here. Just check out the picture attached to this review, not the first time I've received some very novel foam artwork. The baristas here are so creative when it's not a rushed time. I was truly entertained to see this smiley onion on my latte. Honestly, it made my morning! 10/10 drink! I am not always a fan of vegan donuts, they often have a dry or dusty taste after the first bite. At least that has been my experience when I've tried them at other cafés. Dynamo donut knows what's up!! Their recipe hits the spot for something that normally turns me off. New flavors are a constant at this cafe. I would highly recommend buying a drink and having a coffee on the go while exploring the neighborhood. They also have great looking artwork and a excellent selection of beans. More than once I've purchased a bag that has lead to a repeat on my rotation at home! Thanks for operating your business at such a high standard!

Best donuts I've had in SF so far! I love how there's plenty of options to choose from! My favorite will always be the vanilla bean! Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Beware of false advertising - the gluten free donuts are not gluten free. They are in the same fryer as regular wheat.

Donut heaven. Plus they will totally hook you up with whipped cream on any drink, even if it is a really bad life decision to do so sometimes.
