Chong Qing Xiao Mian

Been here twice now. It's a good spot because food comes out fast, it's easy to eat or share, and there's never a wait. It is in a busy area so metered street parking can be hard to find but lots of bus stops nearby.I've ordered the dan dan noodles ($15) twice and also tried the spicy beef rib noodle soup and intestine noodle soup ($16). The dan dan noodles were super chewy and had the perfect amount of spice. The spicy beef rib noodles had the numbing spice which was also really good. Also recommend the intestine noodle soup if you like intestines. The portion size is huge and usually lasts me two meals for one dish. Dishes are spicy but you can ask to get mild.

Came in on Monday for dinner with a friend and was able to walk in and sit down right away. There were a decent amount of people, especially solo diners. The outside is low key and the inside is decorated quite tastefully. Service was great, our server was very attentive as she filled up our teapot as soon as we were done and our food came out quickly! My friend and I both ordered the spicy beef noodle soup (she asked for extra spicy and they successfully brought the heat ). She always orders the chongqing numbing spice noodles but decided to try something new (but we're pretty sure the spicy beef noodle soup is just the numbing spice noodle + beef). The cucumber salad was light and refreshing (side note: you can ask them to make it spicy like we did).From the reviews I was expecting knife cut noodles and from the pictures on the menu I wasn't expecting the meat to be on the bone but I was pleasantly surprised! The broth was rich in a nice fragrant numbing spice. The meat fell right off the bone and you could taste the flavors very well (10/10 would recommend and I'd definitely bring my Szechuan mom here). I'm excited to try more of their menu!

Braised pork intestine with noodle soup is my go to dish here! Savory and spicy - a perfect combo for my palate. I love pork intestine and they're always very generous with their portions. It has a good amount of fat on it which I like.The place is kind of small which makes it a little squished. The service is nice here, I speak Cantonese so it feels very homey eating here.

It always a good and casual time here. Food is pretty good, but not like over the top amazing (some dishes may be more of acquiring taste). I like the fish fillet with mustard greens noodles or rice. Service is fast.

Went yesterday night after a comedy show. We there around 8:30pm and were seated immediately (the restaurant was pretty full). We ordered and soon after we had our dishes. My husband ate the spicy beef noodles soup (but not spicy) and I got the vegetarian one. Mine was very normal, spicy for sure, but I was expecting more in terms of noodles (I found them more like spaghetti). Overall was a good experience, not great for me. But I can say that the portions are very big compared for what you pay.

My mom is from Chong Qing and I brought her here over Thanksgiving break and she loved it! We had the Cold Noodles, Chong Qing noodles, Bean jello, and a cold chicken dish with chili. Everything was the perfect amount of spicy (I've had a hard time finding truly spicy food recently!). I definitely recommend the Cold Noodles, but I have always been partial to any sort of cold noodle dish. I'll be back to try the Dan Dan noodles and some of the beef noodle soups as well.I also ordered a plum juice which was perfect to go with the spicy noodles.Prices are extremely reasonable and service is quick and to the point, we ordered in Chinese so not sure if it's different ordering in English!

Such a great place hands down. If you like the simplicity of a casual place that quickly puts out delicious and spicy food, you've come to the right place. Waiters staff is fast and efficient. You'll be in and out and satisfied! Recommend numbing spice chicken and spicy beef soup.

Dan dan noodles was such a large and affordable option! I could share one bowl with my bf and still feel really full. It wasn't spicy and the flavor of the broth was really good! I also tried the couple's delight appetizer and the texture and taste of the meat was delicious.

Small shop to get various chinese noodle soups! The guilin rice noodle soup was a crowd pleaser with a tasty broth and a hearty rib of meat. I can't recall if the rib was an add-on but it might be worth a pass because the meat on the bone was pretty tough. The pork intestine noodle soup had A LOT more intestines than I expected. Very pungent and intense flavor for sure!If you're looking for a casual spot for some hot noodle soup, this is definitely a spot to consider!

Wow their Dan Dan Noodles are delicious! We were looking for a restaurant in Chinatown that served a warm bowl of noodle soup on the rainy day, and this was the perfect restaurant for it. The Dan Dan Noodles (and I'm sure their other noodle soups) are authentic, perfectly spicy, and satisfying. We will definitely be back!
