Crab season was very delayed this year so as soon as they became available, my friends and I were definitely itching to get some. Lucky for us, eater published an article of best places to get crab and I found a familiar chef offering her Indonesian Crab feast. I used to attend Chef Siska's pop-ups back in the day and she's one of the only people offering Indonesian cuisine in the Bay Area. Most people are familiar with Singaporean or Malaysian Chili crab but chef Siska offers a great Indonesian Crab with Padang Sauce. The crab was really fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed this crab feast. The sides were crab cornbread, crab Rangoon and crab salad. These were probably the best crab Rangoons I've had and the crab cornbread blew my mind - it's the kind of fusion that was unexpected but was fantastic. Chef Siska is definitely one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to getting some rice plates from her after crab season (she's concentrating on crab orders in January/February). She's the type of chef that deserves the support from our Bay Area foodie community. Highly recommended!!!

We absolutely love the food - very authentic, mouth-watering good, a burst of flavor in every bite. Our journey with Siska started when she catered our wedding dinner back in 2018. Since then, we have followed her wherever she goes: from her pop-ups to her food truck in the Google campus to her restaurant Warung Siska in Redwood City. We recently had her Lontong Feast delivered to our home and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you Siska. You are truly a talented chef. Thank you for sharing with us your passion for Indonesian cuisine.

Chef Siska prepared an amazing buffet for a dinner reception for special guests from Indonesia. The food was delicious!! The opor chicken and beef rendang were tender and the other entrees very tasty. The faculty, students and guests were delighted by the dishes. People who were trying Indonesia cuisine for the first time raved about the flavors. Every pan and plate was empty and stomachs were full! Chef Siska was great to work with as we planned the event and menu. Communication was clear and timely. We highly recommend her and look forward to collaborating with her again!

Excellent food! The flavors are incredible, authentic and like nothing else you can get in the Bay Area. I hardly ate food this good on multiple trips to Indonesia. Definitely recommend!

Unfortunately, I had a pretty suboptimal meal last night at the April Balinese Feast. Although I appreciated the concept, execution was lacking.Pros:- The chef seems super nice and passionate- As mentioned, I like the concept of a family style Indonesian feast because there is nothing else like it in SF. I appreciate the diversity- Really enjoyed the use of SPICES/fragrants - For the QUANTITY of food, it was not expensive ($45 which includes service)- Amuse buche - 2 of the 3 items were executed very well - the peanut/anchovy and the pickled cucumber one.Cons:- All the proteins (chicken, prawns and fish) were painfully overcooked. The chicken THIGH (not breast) was dry. The prawns were mealy, either from being overcooked and/or from being not fresh. The tuna was the best out of all the proteins, but that was still overcooked.- I actually really don't like oversalted food, but even this food was under-salted for me.- The fish soup would have been the best thing, if it had not arrived luke warm.- Even the coconut rice, which is usually an easy win, was undercooked.

I have been following Chef Siska for a number of years now. I eat out a lot but Indonesian food is so hard to find in SF/Bay Area. I adore Indonesian food and her dishes are crave-worthy. Truly I cannot get enough of her beef rendang, Balinese pork, sambals, satay lillit--really everything she makes are full of clear flavors (and heat). Everything she cooks makes me happy! Order from her.

I'm Indonesian and attended one of the dinners in early 2019. If you've never had Indonesian food, this is a good place to try it. Chef Siska is passionate, has an interesting story, and creates wonderful dishes that are very authentic. The dishes she served this dinner was a little bit California-inspired but still very nice and authentic. She's now busy with her food truck but looking forward to going back to her dinners!

Siska and her assistants catered a party at my home yesterday. The food was amazing, and she and her staff could not have been more attentive and helpful! We did an entire roast pig, skewers of pork, chicken and fish, noodles, and Indonesian salad. It was a lavish spread, and absolutely delicious! I recommend Cisco highly for your catering needs. Not only is Balinese food flavorful and fun to eat, but it is also visually stunning. I highly recommend ChiliCali for anyone's catering needs.
