"This is some of the best Thai cuisine I have had in a while! I highly recommend the mango prawns appetizer. The pumpkin curry with rice and the drunken noodles with beef were excellent! High quality ingredients and full of flavor. Modern casual restaurant that's popular with the people who are working in the city."
"our pizza night at Extreme was great and satisfactory. the boys and i ordered a large pizza, half cheese, half sausage / green pepper. the service was good, the ambiance was nice and smooth at night, and with TVs showing the sports, we were more than comfortable enjoying our elite pizza"

"New cafe that opened 5 weeks ago. Beautiful space and ambiance. Spectacular pink tree in the middle of the cafe and plenty of comfy seating. The chicken empanadas were delicious. I look forward to going back for the coffee and non-caffeinated drinks, some of which are Peruvian inspired. Very friendly barista. Great to have such a sweet spot in the neighborhood!"
"Pizzas are very good here. Price is good too. Today i tried their spaghetti with meatballs and its delicious. The tomato sauce and meatballs and garlic bread is the best. Better than Amicis!"
"Napizza is a cute spot in a good neighborhood. We had a reservation, and it was clear that they weren't ready for us. They sent us a text to push us back 15 minutes, which was totally fine, but even then they squeezed the 5 of us into a 4 person booth. Not a big deal! The food was better than I expected after walking in, but I do think there is better pizza in SF. I did enjoy the pesto gnocchi! I will say, I was surprised that this spot isn't new based on how it was operated with the table and service. Everyone was so nice, but it was disorganized and we had to ask for things a few times. They also made a minor mistake on two of our dishes by switching cheese type on one of our pizzas and adding burrata to our pesto (this was a happy accident as it normally cost more to add ). We asked and they have been around for 3 years."
"Brb, drooling!!! This really satisfied my sandwich craving! The soprano was delicious; meat super flavorful, saucy and Dutch crunch bread was amazing! I love when the Dutch crunch has a good crunch without scraping the top of your mouth off. Delicious and will def be back!"
"I love cafes like this where breakfast is served all day, giving us so much to choose from on the menu. We got the sausage biscuit with no roasted tomato jam, the roasted mushroom and onion panini, a white chocolate oatmeal cookie, a double chocolate cookie, an iced mocha, and some tea. Everything looked better than it tasted, but that doesn't mean it tasted bad, the presentation was just very appetizing. They were generous with the toppings in the sandwiches, and the biscuit was nice and fluffy and seemingly infused with herbs. The cookies from the display case had good flavor but were a bit too chewy.Outside there is little to no signage, so the cafe is easy to miss from the sidewalk, in a run-down area with homeless scattered throughout. However, the inside is a total 180, a clean and pleasant atmosphere, offering sufficient service and a good amount of seating for dining in."
"Came by for the first time for a quick refuel after a workout class. There are menus posted outdoors, as well as indoors, and you can essentially build your own bagel with a selection of bagel types, cream cheeses, and additional ad ins like lox. Walk in and order near the back end of the counter. This part of the space is more rectangular with not too much space, but the orders are prepared quickly. Go further into the back and it opens up into an outdoor dining space which is really nice. The garlic bagel was very fresh with big chunks of garlic baked into the dough. Texture was soft yet also firm. Got this bagel with cream cheese, which was generously loaded on making it well worth the more premium cost that the bagel is."
"Good sandwich shop! Not many vegetarian options but the "politically correct" was so tasty. Fresh bread, cheese, and quality veggies with tasty dressing. Parking is convenient, 2.25 per hour, most people do takeout. People were super polite, I would definitely stop by again when going to the nearby CVS. Oh, and prices are fair for the current times, $14 for a big sandwich, including tax."
"Came here on Sunday around noon, my boyfriend and I were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and family friendly. Once we were seated, they brought out waters and utensils! But if I'm honest, the time it took to get our food was really slow compared to how fast they seated us and brought out our waters. Tom San was a rec from one of my friends, and we were so shocked to see the prices when looking at the menu. You're really getting a great deal for the sashimi and ramen as well. Onto the food itself, the ramen was so delicious. We got the spicy miso - perfectly spicy and there was so much depth to the broth. It wasn't watery or super thick, the perfect amount of both. The egg was a little runnier than I liked, but still very lovely pair with the ramen. We also got their chirashi bowl, which was filled with ample amounts of sashimi. So good and we were honestly stuffed at the end, it hurt. Dragon roll was so yum, the tempura was so crispy and the sauce wasn't too sweet! Highly recommend, seems like everything on their menu is going to be good. If you're looking for a quick spot, it does take some amount of time for them to prep the food (which - I am not complaining about! Obviously I'd rather have quality of food over the speed of delivery; though both would be nice), that being said, I recommend coming here for the quality of the food!"
"Fantastic for 30+ years!Joe and Becky have been running this joint for longer than I can remember. My wife and I came here with friends before we got married. It was a ritual to come in and get a bagel "Becky style" and me the corned beef hash with eggs over easy. They are still here killing it and the food is just as good as I remembered! If you are looking for fine dining, this is not your stop. If you are looking for reasonable priced food and good coffee, this is your joint!"
"Two Sons' Sandwiches is truly a gem! I've had the pleasure of ordering from here multiple times, and I can confidently say they serve some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Each visit, the sandwiches are consistently delicious and never fail to impress. The bread is always incredibly fresh and adds the perfect touch to their amazing creations. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you'll appreciate the quality and care they put into every sandwich. Highly recommend!"

I have to write a positive review because the person working the counter was super friendly and even though added espresso to matcha without asking, she fixed it and gave me a different cup. Super friendly made me so welcome The matcha may not have been my taste, but it seems the stars of this shop are the coffees and the friendly service.

Avanti Avanti" un vincitore! This means in Italian that "Avanti is the winner!!~ I am always looking for good authentic Italian pizza like they make it in Italy. My fathers family is from Puglia Italy and they do a very similar crust to Avanti. Then when they fire it up, it has a bit burned edges like Avanti does, this is autentico. I had the Salami & Arugula Salad Red sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Salami, Fresh Arugula, Grated Parmesan, it was awesome. Would I come back, you bet yeah! And I will be. So my charge to you all is to get your pizza loving cravings on over to Avanti in Menlo Park. Tell em the Joey sent ya;-) Just have a great pizza. They have other things on the menu as well. You will love it! Ciao.

Came back to Napizza for another dinner this week. The staff were friendly and attentive, as always. Got the Caesar salad to split and they were kind enough to put it in two bowls for us to eat out of. For our mains we got pepperoni pizza and the truffle pasta. The pizza crust here is so good! And the pepperoni and cheese were fresh and tasty. The truffle pasta was also delicious. For dessert we got panna cotta and sea salt caramel gelato. I thought the panna cotta was especially good with a little lemon flavor. This is still one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants and I will definitely be returning again!

Taking over the space of the beloved Greedy Ant Gourmet. Belmont Deli has big shoes to fill, but they're off to a great start! As a devoted sandwich enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of trying the 4-Alarm Firesmith sandwich. Firesmith chicken, bacon, jalapeño pepper jack cheese, and fiery chipotle gourmaise--all served with the works.I customized mine with dutch crunch, creamy brie cheese and pesto sauce. The choice of having it served hot was a no-brainer--I wanted those flavors to meld together. The verdict? The sandwich arrived piping hot and toasty, just as promised. The Firesmith chicken was tender, and the bacon added that smoky goodness. The jalapeños and pepperoncini provided the perfect kick without overpowering the other ingredients. If you're craving a hearty sandwich, give the 4-Alarm Firesmith a try. You won't be disappointed!Looking forward to trying their many other offerings!

Contemporary, clean, modern cafe in the Tenderloin. 10am got super busy! Where did all these people come from?! Any way that was a rush scared for me. When I arrived at 9:30am it was a clam, one 2 people sitting at the counter on their electric devices waiting for their food to come to them. Tenderloin is not a neighborhood I frequent so since I was in this area, might as well detour and try something new and hope for the best. I heard a lot of good things about the Jane Bakery, but never had chance to venture to the two locations until now. The cafe is a clean well lighted wide open spaces I spent time looking at the tea they sell along the left wall. The pastry display case had a wealth of interesting pastries but the hard part for me is picking the one I wanted to eat now. I finally decided on the last sausage crossiant and the last cheese biscuit. I paid about $13.80 for two pastries, but very well made. I selected the the last two sausage Crossiant and cheese biscuit. Nice and flaky and crispy sausage Crossiant where the sausage had a mild spice to it. The cheese biscuit was nice and solid, good cheese flavor and nice texture. I would order both again. There wasn't much customer service, I just order and grab a napkin and sat at table. I wouldn't mind coming back if I was in the area to try some other pastries and perhaps try some breakfast.

I'm always too late once I'm off work to make it here before closing, but I had an early appointment in the area today and I'm so glad I got to try these bagels. I got an Everything with Hatch Chile spread- so good (I would've like more chiles though). Super friendly, expedient service. I don't know what to expect for a "real" NY bagel, but these were awesome. Perfectly chewy, fresh, soft and adequate smear ! Yes please!

"So me and my boyfriend have been craving and wanting a chorizo breakfast burrito for the longest time. Although there are many Mexican restaurants around the city, we just could never come across good reviews on breakfast burritos. I seen this place had a Chorizo breakfast burrito to offer yet only had one review. So we decided to take a chance on it. & Boy am I happy we took that chance. If you are looking for a big, hearty chorizo burrito, you definitely need to try this place out. Pretty pricey for a burrito but definitely worth it. It normally has eggs, chorizo, beans, cheese and sour cream, but we decided to not add sour cream. Haven't gotten the chance to try anything else from this place, but if we decide to order something else from here, i'll be sure to update this review! Take the chance and try this out!"
"Tried this place recently again. Got the Falafel plate and sauteed eggplant . The food overall was decent, except that the Tzatziki sauce served as part of the plate the sauteed eggplant dish had a bitter / sour taste, perhpas because they were stale and on the verge of going bad. The falafels were fried fresh. The pita bread was warm as well. Seems like they don't make everything very fresh. Only 1 other customer besides me on a friday afternoon. Not sure I will try it again."
"Great lunch option. Very fresh ingredients and interesting salad styles.I got the kale base w curry style and chicken, but would probably try another flavor next time as I did not like this one that much. Huge portions, fair pricing! Staff is very kind and peppy; they seem to have a lot of regulars."
"On a little getaway trip with our pup we decided to dine at The Barn as they offer all outdoor seating by their restaurant and have an additional "garden patio" area with additional seating. You first walk inside to order and then take your buzzer to the tables and seat yourself. They have blankets to cover the benches in case it's cold and outdoor heaters that can be turned on. We ordered the Barn Burger (classic beef burger), the What the Cluck (fried chicken sandwich - can also be served grilled if you prefer), a side of fries, and the Mac Attack (fried macaroni). The Barn Burger is your classic burger - which was thought was pretty standard. Ingredients tasted fresh and the bun kept everything together. The only downside was that the beef patty was quite small and not to the shape of the bun. At the end we found ourselves with bun + toppings, but no more beef. The What the Cluck is served on ciabatta bread and the arugula is a nice touch. Chicken was fried well and was tender inside. The portion is sizeable as well. However, if you're not a goat cheese fan, you may want to sub out the cheese as it was quite strong and overpowered the sandwich quite a bit.The Mac Attack is a nice side addition. Fried perfectly to a crunchy crisp and velvety cheesy goodness on the inside. It's served with ranch and four pieces is plenty for two people! We were surprised by the portion of a side of fries. You can definitely share between two people as they give plenty.Self serve water outside and you bus your own table when you're done!Overall, love the outdoor dining area and that it is dog friendly. Would return with our pup when in Half Moon Bay!"
"Hidden gem in pac heights. Was in the area as my hubby was in the hospital (cpmc) so stopped by initially to see what they had on the menu. I was intrigued by the Tanturi Sando so decided to give it a try. It was delicious and I especially liked the seasonings. Their baklava looked amazing so got one to go. OMG seriously the best I've ever had. I'm not sure but I'm betting they are made in house as most I've had or seen elsewhere didn't even come close. It was so good that I went back the next day and tried the quinoa salad, another winner. To top it off the server came over and gave me another order of baklava on the house! I would highly recommend this place and do not skip their baklava. Take it to go if necessary but do-not-skip it!! All in all the food and service are top notch. I will go back for sure (hopefully without a visit to cpmc)"
"We have always strolled by this cute and cozy restaurant when we're in Japantown. We have dined here a couple of times and finally coming back to satisfy our thai food cravings. The staff here are so kind, attentive, making the dining experience so welcoming. What we ordered:- Pad Kee Mao w/ chicken - Thai Street BBQ platter (get this, so worth the money and you can try different dishes such as sticky rice, thai salad, larb, and chicken) - Duck Curry (this was so so good because they give you deboned duck meat. I appreciate this so much because I don't like biting into bones)- Mango Sticky Rice (lightly sweet which makes it so good) - Tom Yum & Tom Kha beer (must try even if you don't like beer as it is very light in taste)I can't wait to come back to try more dishes and the hospitality is top notch!"
"Seafood Heaven!Portofino Seafood Restaurant is a small, cozy place in the lively neighborhood of North Beach, San Francisco. It is located on Grant Street and has a welcoming, old-fashioned feel. Instead of using a website, they show their menu on a hand-painted board. When we visited a few nights ago, the owner, Frankie Gaetano Balistreri, greeted us warmly. Frankie, whom I've known for years, runs the restaurant with his wife. They have created a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for their guests. Their dedication to great hospitality is clear in every part of the restaurant, making each guest feel like part of the family. Our meal started with a tasty clam chowder, which set the tone for the evening. The chowder was rich and full of flavor, showing the quality of the ingredients. Following that, we shared a beet salad that was just perfect. For the main course, I had the Seafood Risotto, which was lightly tomato sauce based and filled with a mix of fresh seafood. My significant other chose the grilled halibut, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. Both dishes were fantastic, showing the skill of the kitchen team.To finish the meal, we shared a light and airy tiramisu. It was the perfect end to a wonderful evening. Portofino stands out among the excellent Italian restaurants in North Beach, especially for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes that suit all tastes. Each dish is made with care and attention to detail, from roasted sardines to sole almondine. The cioppino, a stew with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and squid in a light, tangy tomato broth, is a must-try for seafood fans.Frankie and his wife have clearly put a lot of love into Portofino, which shows. Their passion for providing an outstanding dining experience is obvious, making Portofino not just a restaurant but a beloved spot in North Beach. Portofino Seafood Restaurant is the place to go for a memorable meal in a warm and welcoming setting."
"Generous portions and good food. Came here for a weekend takeout lunch and ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, lamb kofta wrap and a side of garlic fries. The menu may seem on the pricier side but when we got the food we understood why, the wraps were huge and fries were overflowing from the box. If you're not a big eater I think you could actually share a wrap with a side between two people.Food came out promptly and ingredients tasted like they were high quality. Each wrap came with a side of toom and hot sauce. My chicken shawarma wrap was different than I was expecting in that the chicken was covered in sauce. Might not be everyone's preference for those that prefer the taste of grilled meat but I enjoyed it. Fries were well seasoned and very crispy. Would come back again."
"Stopped by this place for coffee and was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast bagel sandwiches were amazing and he can make it with whatever you please. I had egg, avocado, and cheese on Asiago and my husband had egg, bacon, cheese, veggies, with slight spice. We loved them both. Coffee was good with lots of variety. Best of all he was very nice and accommodating as we were just visiting from out of town. Highly recommended!"
"This restaurant has been here for years but for some reason I never went in. I love Bento Boxes and especially OFS&G's 3 item Bento. I get the chicken teriyaki, California rolls and mixed tempura. All very delicious. The chicken teriyaki could use just a little more teriyaki sauce, but it's all tasty. Besides the 3 item choices, the box comes with a salad and rice. Tasty and reasonably priced, especially given there are either two or three pieces of shrimp in the mixed tempura. I think I've been 4 times now in the past week and a half. Can't believe I didn't try this place sooner. I haven't eaten in -I order directly from their website then drop by to pick up -but during dinner it's usually got a good number of people there. Pickup is very easy and the staff is friendly."
"Best place to have lunch and salad in SF.Great salads and large portions and excellent friendly service. This is our second time here. Every time we come to the city, we must have this salad and stop here.!!"
"Working nearby this is my place to go for lunch. There is something for everyone to enjoy, from vegetarian to pescatarian. Daily specials can be everything from Sweet Chili Fried Chicken with rice and salad to Grilled Salmon. Or Pasta Bolognese or Basil Tofu. No matter what your pleasure Christine and Marlo will take great care of you. They know when I place my order, if the special comes with rice and salad, it's less rice and more salad for me, or no salt on my fries if I order them. A few sandwiches are available every day. My favorite is a chicken chipotle wrap with grilled chicken, onion, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle mayo wrapped in a flour tortilla.Serving the few people that are essential workers and others that need to be in their jobs, they are an essential business. Menu is limited during the Covid outbreak. No more salads or breakfast, sadly. During these times, you can order online and pick up in about 15 minutes. Of course you can still show up and pay with cash or card. Social distancing and masks rules are enforced."
"OMG the wings at this place are so unique and delicious I had to write this review. My favorites are the cilantro chutney and the sesame pomegranate. I don't usually like breaded wings but in this case it soaks up all the delicious flavors!"
"Came across Handy Deli on Yelp while looking for sandwiches near Golden Gate Park, and I'm so happy I did! I feel like delis that double as liquor stores can be hit or miss, and this was a huge hit! The variety of sandwiches was plentiful, as was the drink and beer selection. They had everything ranging from breakfast sandwiches, to traditional classics, and Italian sandwiches. On top of that they had chicken shawarma, salads, and a sign that even showed some Mexican food options. While we only went with sandwiches this time, we're definitely going back to try those panuchos. Service was friendly and sandwiches came out fresh as they were made to order. Excited to come back and try more of the menu!"
"At the first game of 2025, our friend Mike C suggested we meet up here for slices of pizza before we head inside Chase. It's a newer restaurant located in Thrive City on the walkway closer to Chase's East Entrance. The restaurant has inside dining, which had a line of about ten people waiting to get a table, and a take-out window for pizza by slice, soft serve, and bottled water and sodas with a short line. The pizza selections was limited to two choices, cheese ($7) and pepperoni ($8). Our group of four ordered three pepperoni and a cheese. After ordering, we waited for about 5 minutes and they called our number and we picked up our pizza slices and sat on the long bench across from the restaurant.I had the pepperoni, which I had added some parmesan from the condiments table. It was good sized with 12 slices pepperoni on it. I pizza was very good. The pepperoni, cheese and tomato sauce were delicious and the crust had a nice crisp and it was not greasy at all. For the price and quality in an arena setting, it's a winner.I would get pizza here again at my next Chase visit. Maybe even dine in the restaurant."
"This is a wonderful mom and pop shop situated in a building that once housed a sausage factory, kind of makes for a more unique dining experience. How you start a meal is a good indication of how it is going to end, so if you start with a tasteless and soupy salad, chances are the entree will follow suit. That won't be the case here, they can serve a good salad and they can also serve a good pizza. Cheers!"
"Located right in the heart of San Mateo. You order and pay at the register before getting your food. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The lady who worked the register brought our food over to us. FOOD: Chicken gyro bowl & beef/lamb gyro plate are both really filling! The main difference between the bowl and plate is the pita bread and size of the salad. With the plate, you can choose between rice or fries. Everything tasted pretty fresh as well. It's also super clean in there too! I"
"I tried the lamb plate and it was incredible! Highly recommend--best Mediterranean food I've had!"
"- Reminds me of Costco combo pizza- flavors are great, lots of toppings- not thin not thick slices- the crust is bready- their wings are great- only ordered over the phone and had picked up- they also deliver depending on your location. So definitely call and ask!- inside a plaza with parking"
"Great place to eat if you live or work in SF downtown. This place was introduced to us by one of our coworkers and quickly became team's favorite place for lunch. My favorite here is Greek salad and roasted eggplant sandwich."
"I've walked by this place so many times and finally got to stop in! Interior is cute and clean, with lots of colors. The service is quick and friendly. Good for large groups! The space is much larger than you would think bc it snakes towards the back. We ordered the Thai fried chicken, crispy pad Thai, Tom kha, and Thai tea. The pros: The mains' flavors were really bold and yummy! I liked the seasoning a lot. Although some could say it's a bit too salty, I think they balance it well with sweet and sour. The Tom kha was my favorite! The cons: The chicken was pretty meh texture-wise, and I think we ordered poorly with the crispy pad Thai because I prefer chewy noodles over fried ones. I think for the price overall, the quality of the meats they use should be a little higher. The Thai tea also tastes a bit watered down. Overall, I think this place is solid for a casual night out. I'd come again to try the pad see ew, but I don't think I'll put it in my rotation quite yet."
"Excellent food. Fresh and large in size. The taste was great. I went with friends and between us we had salmon, gyros and Adana kebab. Every dish was great and reasonably priced. The only reason this is a 4 star is because one item, which was a salad had ingredients missing. It was not as described in the menu. When asked, we were told they did not have all the ingredients available. That's fine but it's best to be upfront about something like that. We'd be happy to order something else!Customer service was great. Very polite and willing to help. They have a lovely patio outside too. Nicely decorated place for a casual dinner"
"This is my absolute favorite spot to get lunch when I worked downtown. They have the most amazing lunch offerings. inside there is a wonderful places to sit. It is a small café so seating is limited. It did remind me of being in Paris.Sandwiches are made fresh and to order and I absolutely just die for the ham with brie on a baguette. All the ingredients are fresh and the cashier is prompt and courteous . I always recommend Café de Soleil whenever anyone ask me what is the best spot to eat in the city."
