"Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant staff welcomed our large party warmly and even allowed us to order drinks before everyone had arrived. During the appetizer phase, we were treated to a delicious variety of both hot and cold appetizers. The pacing was spot-on, allowing us to sample everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. For the entrée, I had the Branzino with a side of pilaf rice, and it was absolutely amazing, the fish was cooked to perfection. For dessert, I ordered the baklava ice cream. While I wasn't a huge fan of it (the ratio of baklava to ice cream felt a bit off), it was still a sweet and enjoyable way to end the meal.Definitely a great restaurant, and I'll be sure to visit again when I'm in the area!"
"Great place and location. After strolling through downtown SF just stepped in and was pleasantly surprised. Great food and service. In my opinion the lentil soup is a must very flavorful and filling. Also the babaganoush is one the best interpretations of the dish I believe they roast the eggplant prior that makes all that excellent flavor in the dish. Reasonable priced and worth a second visit"

"The appetizer sample dish was great, the octopus was my favorite. The place offer big verity of wine.Very good experience!"
"Go for the whole unique dining experience -- first- class wines, superb Turkish /Mediterranean cuisine, great ambiance. Everything we ate was well-prepared and delicious-- the potato croquettes, olives. Satsuka eggplant dish, roasted branzino, short ribs in chimichurri- wow. The wine list is very impressive and eclectic."
"Tasty, authentic food. Had the brussel sprouts that were so full of flavor, spanakopita was flaky crispy with creamy filling and sliced lamb gyro. Wine options are okay. Will def be back and will wear warmer clothing. The place was so drafty--we had to move tables and saw 2 different parties just get up and depart as it was way too cold inside."
"TL;DR - perfect for on the goI love coming here for a quick grab and go to enjoy at the park. There's never a line! Meat is grilled fresh, there's tons of options to make your wrap. The pricing works for our budget! There isn't really seating since it's tiny and it's not a fancy place but who needs that? I like their lamb and their chili sauce!"
"Great and very convenient lunch spot! I'm a fan of Greek food so I thought why not check them out. Friendly cashier and a clear, big menu up above. Pretty inexpensive and a short wait. It's a very small shop so try to get there just before the lunch rush or prepare to get up close and personal with other hungry customers. I got the falafel sandwich and a side of fries. Good portion size, enough for leftovers. Not bad! They have some type of sauce on the counter for you to take. I recommend grabbing some because my stuff wasn't that flavorful. I'd go back and maybe try the gyros, (singular, pronounced YEE-ros, and yes they have a button at the counter to educate you)."
"Had the Lamb Beef Gyro to go. The gyro had many slices of meat but was dry and tasteless. Expensive for what you get and the only plus is the location near GGP.Workers are not the friendliest and I wouldn't go back for the food or service."
"I love the build your own plates here. They are great and the side salads are fresh and tasty. I particularly think the beet salad is great--big beet chunks but nice and creamy with the sauce, so well done. Cauliflower is also really good. Of the proteins, the falafel and the kofta are both really good. Not to knock the chicken, but boy the kofta is delicious. I love having an excuse to grab lunch at Sababa."
"We just ordered small plates, brunch, and sides. So I can't speak to any of the main dishes. Having said that, below is what I can speak to on the restaurant.Dip - We ordered the tzatziki which came with delicious grilled pita. The dip was really creamy and the pita had sea salt which brought out the grilled flavor.French toast - I hadn't seen anyone mention the French toast. However, it deserves a mention because it was delicious! So light and fluffy with a cinnamon whipped sort of topping. So good!Fries - The fries were also really good. They came with ketchup and an interesting white sauce that tasted of basil, parmesan, and a tiny kick of spice. Whenever I go to a restaurant, I tend to like items that other people don't focus on...so just know I evaluate restaurants on pita and fries. LOL. But that's what makes me happy. The service here is attentive and the feeling is fancy. We sat outdoors with the heat lamps which was nice. We arrived for brunch at 12:30, and it started to get busy right about 1:30.TLDR; Dip & pita, french toast, and fries are worth a visit"
"I needed something quick and fast for I had an event to go to on Van Ness Ave. I have seen this Gryo Xpress in Castro for a long time, but never ate in here. Order is on the kiosk. I at night it was a quiet evening. I sat by the counter over looking the street below people watching. The food came in good time and the server brought my food to me. There were a few diners inside. I enjoyed my beef and lamb gryo."
"We unexpectedly based our plans to be in Berkeley for most of the afternoon/evening. We wanted some good Mediterranean food and Berkeley is one of the best cities to eat Mediterranean food. Therefore, we came across Rojbas Grill. I am genuinely so happy we did! I would go back for sure. *Overview: Food: 8/10 ratingService: 10/10 rating Ambiance: 7/10 rating*What we ordered: Dolma (4pcs)Chicken Gyro Plate Adana Kebab Plate FOOD: 8/10 ratingThe food was so flavorful. The proteins were juicy, seasoned well, and tender. I love how they served a platter of piping hot soft pita bread. It paired so well with our food. I was shocked by the complimentary hot tea served post-meal. It was not an average brewed Lipton tea. The tea was a yummy subtle herbal tea and perfect for digestion since we were so full. SERVICE: 10/10 rating The waiter was SO attentive. He was not overdoing it as well. He was very chill, kind, and attentive without us asking. He refilled our napkins and water without us asking. It bothers me when people say "It's their job and also they're just being nice for more tips". But, you can always tell when it's genuine!Ambiance: 7/10 ratingI love how "homey" the ambiance is. Rojbas Grill has a lot of intricate details on their curtains, artifacts, etc. My favorite pieces were the Mandala art hung up on the walls. Parking can be decent. There is a lot of meter-based parking. However, on a busy weekend, it can be hard to find parking."

Came here on a date night with my bro after being impressed with the reviews on Yelp! I'm a big fan of Greek food, and don't feel like I eat it often enough. The vibes in the photos looked perfect for a chill night out with delicious food and drinks!I made a reservation through OpenTable, which was helpful to make sure we didn't have to wait. The place was decently busy, but definitely not full for a Saturday night. We came after dark, which I recommend, as I think it really highlights the lighting and aesthetics! DRINKS:Slay (vodka, white rum, muddled fresh berries, fresh lime juice & ginger beer - $14): This was such a delicious cocktail, I got two! Highly recommended for a smooth, fruity cocktail that's got a little kick. Latte ($6): My buddy got this one instead of his second round of adult beverages, and had really good things to say about this as a pairing with the Profiteroles. FOOD:We came with the intention of ordering a handful of starters and other dishes to share. This is a great spot for that, as they have lots of delicious shareable dishes!Pita Bread - The warm, fresh tasting pita bread comes free as if you were at an Italian spot bringing you a basket of fresh bread. The only difference is they don't offer free olive oil or balsamic vinegar to dip. This is where they get you, by enticing you to get some of the delicious "Greek Spreads" so that you're not eating dry pita. Tzatziki (sheep milk yogurt, cucumber, fresh mint & dill - $9): This was a delicious take on a classic spread/dip. It was creamy and flavorful. Paired perfectly with the pita, as well as the other dishes that needed a little cool contrast. Tirokafteri (roasted bell pepper, imported spicy herbs & feta cheese - $9): Another creamy and delicious dip. This one was a little spicier than the Tzatziki, but not too spicy. My buddy, who is really sensitive to spicy things, loved this one! The feta was a nice touch on the top and added some great flavor!Calamari (deep fried Monterey calamari with housemade tartar sauce - $16): My buddy ordered this one, as I'm very particular about the calamari I like. I did try a few pieces, and as someone who isn't huge on calamari, this was good. It wasn't overly chewy (one of my biggest gripes), and the breading was flavorful.Zucchini Cake (crispy zucchini cakes with cucumber & mint-yogurt dressing - $14): These were good, not great. I enjoyed the crispiness and fresh taste, though the flavor didn't blow me away. I probably would pass on these in the future. Oven Baked Prawns (wood-oven roasted prawns with tomato, onion, fresh basil & feta - $14): These were also good but not great. I would consider ordering this again, but I feel like I was hoping for a little more bold flavorful that stuck with me. Saghanaki (pan fried Kefalotyri cheese with lemon & oregano - $13): This was the star of the show. What the description doesn't mention, is that they pan fry it right in front of you! It comes in a small skillet, and it gets lit at your table. Once the flame goes out, what's left is some incredibly crispy and flavorful cheese.Brussel Sprouts (marinated crispy Brussel sprouts - $9): Indeed crispy and delicious. I definitely enjoyed these, and would order them again!Greek Fries (French fries with mild spicy garlic yogurt fondue - $9): This was a solid portion of deliciously seasoned fries. They were a great side to everything, and were perfect dipped in the Tzatziki and Tirokafteri.Homemade Profiteroles (homemade hollow pastry filled with French vanilla gelato and topped with melted chocolate sauce - $9): What an incredible dessert! The presentation on this was amazing, and it was so good! The flavors paired amazingly together, and it was the perfect way to end a wonderful meal!Overall this was a meal to remember. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and the food was authentic and amazing. The vibes are perfect for a date night, friends dinner, or any meal where you just want incredible food! I look forward to bringing the wifey here for a night out very soon to try some more of these delicious dishes!IG: @bbnem.eats

We had an absolutely amazing experience at North Beach Gyros. Four of us came in on Saturday for lunch, and Apo served us. He was truly a wonderful and kind person, making our visit even more enjoyable. We started with the baba ghanoush, hummus, and tzatziki with pita--all of them were outstanding, some of the best Mediterranean sauces I've ever had. For our main dishes, we ordered the falafel, the lamb and beef gyro plate, the mixed grilled plate, and a falafel wrap. Everything was bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavors and made for the perfect lunch in the city.Apo's hospitality was exceptional, and we promised him we'd leave a glowing review. I hope many more people visit this restaurant and have the same fantastic experience we did!

Came back to Dunya this weekend for a lunch visit and bottomless mimosas! Once again, was not disappointed by this place. The waitstaff are always really friendly to us and happy to keep the mimosas coming. We made a reservation for 12:30 and were the only customers when we arrived, but as time went on the restaurant filled up in the early afternoon around 1/1:30.The food here is also really good. I went with the dunya burger, which is a beef and lamb patty on a ciabatta bun. The price for the burger is a little on the high side ($22), but it comes with fries AND a side salad, so in the end it feels like a good deal for the amount of food. Overall another really great time at Dunya and I will definitely be returning again in the future!!

This restaurant is EXTREMELY underrated. Part of me wants to avoid writing a review so that I can keep it as a secret for just my pals ;) ...but I won't do that to my fellow foodies! My group of three came to dinner on a weekday night. The dining room was far from busy, which surprised me since Clement Street does have a decent amount of foot traffic around dinner time. We started with the olives and hummus (shoutout to the person that wrote that created the menu-- "you know what hummus is" made us LOL!), which were excellent starters. We also enjoyed the pacanga Borek kasseri cheese, octopus, lamb kababs, and short ribs. Everything was flavorful, plated well, and satisfying. Our server was helpful, accommodating, and kind. In all honesty, this is a true hidden gem. I sincerely hope that someday this restaurant earns the accolades that I believe that they deserve. Keep this place on your radar!

I came here with a group for restaurant week around 8:30 pm, and since we had a reservation we were able to be seated pretty quickly. The interior is on the smaller side but it is still nice and has a modern vibe with some creative touches (like the cheese grater lamps). The service was quite good, and we were able to receive our dishes pretty quickly. For the food I decided to get the hummus, the moussaka, and the galaktoboureko. All of these dishes were well-made, and I especially liked the moussaka since it was crispy on top while having a lot of flavor inside with the beef and eggplant. The galaktoboureko was also pretty solid, as it was flaky and went well with the berry sauce surrounding it. For $45 the meal also comes with a glass of either white wine or champagne, so it's not a bad deal by SF standards. If you are a fan of Greek and Mediterranean food, Novy is a restaurant worth checking out!

I love everything about this place. We're from San Jose and decided to try out this place before leaving and it did not disappoint. The food portion was just right. We got the combo plates with lamb and steak. Everyone was welcome with good service. Definitely will come back. Not to mention the price here is probably the cheapest you can find in the bay area!

Super hungry, but not really wanting to walk far to grab lunch in between sessions, so I opted for Ayola. It's a take out place, and clearly they're experts on being super efficient when it comes to getting those on their lunch hour in and out. They have salads, pitas, and a few starters on their menu. I opted to get a chicken gyro and spanakopita (which came with a side of tzatziki). For a gyro, spanakopita, and a can of soda, it came to $15 and change. I won't fault the establishment for this, but prices in San Francisco are super expensive. After about five minutes of waiting, my lunch was done and I headed to the office to eat outside.I dug into my chicken gyro and it was good, not the best I've ever had, but not the worst. I will say that I wasn't super impressed with the tzatziki. It was definitely missing something. Maybe it was a lack of garlic or the sauce not tasting super tangy. Whatever the reason, it wasn't memorable.I bit into the spanakopita and it was good. The phyllo was crispy and the spinach/feta mixture was good. Pros:-Ease and efficiency of the line-Gyro was ok-Spanakopita was goodCons:-Tzatziki sauce was missing something Tips: I should have gotten a piece of baklava.

The staff here is extremely accommodating and friendly! I had a booth for the Crystal Fair held in the Country Fair building across the street.Park Gyros came and took orders for all of the vendors and hand delivered them! They were very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for us!Not to mention the food was delicious. Day 1 of the fair I had a chicken wrap that was bursting with flavor.Day 2 I had the medit. Combo plate! Highly recommend both of these dishes.Huge shout out to Veysel for his huge heart and for the delivery of our lunches!!I wasn't able to catch the name of the gentleman who delivered our lunch on day 1 but he was also incredible!

"Lark had been on my list for quite a while and finally got to try it. It is a small place and located in Mission close to Valencia street , so this area has lots of interesting places to eat. Really nice decor and ambience and so this would be a nice date night place. We tried the vegetarian appetizer sampler 'Pikilia' which was a great way to try all the appetizers and every tasted nice. We then go the 'Rodakino Rocca' without the prosciutto . It was nice but wish the ratio of arugula to other ingredients was more balanced. I also go the 'Wa Penduka' drink which was nice as well"
"I love the chicken shawarma bowl. The service was quick. People are friendly. The food tastes fresh. Perfect for lunch!"
"Great place for lunch. Service is quick and delicious food. Everything on the menu is delicious. Got the chicken souvlaki plate. Lots of food so you definitely won't be hungry afterwards. Love the chicken skewers and the fries. The fries were very flavorful and they were pretty addicting to eat. Lots of dining space inside and outside especially perfect in the summer and enjoy the fresh air. Parking is limited on laurel but park in the back where there is plenty of parking"
"This was so good! I live in Bakersfield and am out visiting family for the thanksgiving holiday. Before the family has the chance to throw down in the chicken for turkey day we had the opportunity of trying this beautiful place the day before. (And I'm so glad we did) I ordered the beef/lamb gyro pita...I planned on taking pictures but the food didn't last too long...sorryBut I can assure you that everything tasted great!!! The pro's are your taste buds will be slapped, belly filled and satisfied. The con's are, you're gonna lick your fingers, you may make a mess and smell like the perfect fusion of garlic and onion. I for sure will be back!"
"I've been here several times and have enjoyed it every time. You order at the register and then have a seat. They bring your to the table. It usually arrives very quickly. The food is great and I haven't been disappointed in anything that I have ordered. The restaurant is clean and comfortable."
"Such a great discovery! Capo is a delightful, well-designed, tasty Mediterranean eatery that's quick-service style with all the friendly care and customer service of fine dining. Parking is a little tight at peak hours but has a private lot that it shares with the other storefronts on the strip. There is a modern all-gender bathroom that is clean and well maintained. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated, and enjoyable with lots of natural light and windows and both indoor and outdoor seating. I appreciate the visual menu which made it easy to pick something to order (except everything looks good which makes it harder). I ordered the beef koftedes plate (~$18) which comes with a pomegranate BBQ sauce, rice, salad with a light vinaigrette dressing, warm pita slices, yogurt dip. I also tried some of my sister's chicken kebab plate which was delicious. We also tried a plate of manti for the table ($16) and it was sooo good! Tiny bite size dumplings in a yogurt and sundried tomato sauce. Will be back again for sure...I'm curious about the seafood offerings!"
"I used to come here since it was a block away from my office and it was a great "grab and go" place when I had limited time between meetings. Anything with the lamb gyro is delicious! Also the people who work here are very friendly."
"Lamb beef gyro wrap - perfectly executed, nice solid pieces of meat. Lavash was nice and grilled. white sauce is served on the side.Rice pudding - It was so good! Nice and light, not too sweet, a subtle perfect touch of warm spice. It was the perfect consistency for me, not too thick and ricey, and not too thin either. The owner is so nice! And they keep the place really clean."
"Don't talk to me I'm eating.Once in a while a plate of food puts you in a trance enough to sit there eating silently with your friend. Don't talk. Just let me eat first. Thoughts going through my head "how can this taste so good," "I wasn't expecting this tonight," "this is the most tender gyro meat I've ever had," "how nicely this sauce pairs with the rice." Service was so friendly. Walked in for Friday dinner cus it's try a new restaurant night. Surprised it was empty. They got quite a bit of takeout orders but no one eating in there. Only the workers in there. Was greeted immediately with a smile. Wasn't sure if I had to order then seat myself or politely ask to get a table first. Sometimes it's confusing at some places, I didn't want to be weird. Asked for a table then server brought menus to us. But the next person who walked in just ordered and paid right away at the cashier then sat down. So I don't know.I wasn't given water with my sit down meal. Cus I ordered the food without mentioning water, so it must be one of those don't ask don't get kinda things. As requested. FOOD:*lamb & beef gyro plate: what is this goodness! Meat is so tender. How nicely it sits on top of this rice. Pour some tzatziki sauce over both and eat it. Delightful. Comes with a side of seasoned tomato much like a salsa consistency. There was a red liquid salsa sauce too on this plate so you can pick what you want to dip your meat into*hummus with chicken kabob: o what now this is something new I haven't tried! Delicious! The garbanzo beans are blended enough that the hummus is completely smooth. Good salty flavor. Comes with triangle pieces of bread oops I mean pita to dip. I slathered the hummus all over my pita. Pita was swimming in hummus. Why not, cus they give you plenty of hummus in that bowl. How many times did I shout "delicious" throughout and after this meal. Maybe 4 times. Am I talking to myself or to my friend. Doesn't matter.Sangria available in glass, half, and full size So clean inside. Got that new restaurant feel."
"So close to work, def a spot worth checking out. I normally get the wraps, it's quick and delicious, and easy to eat on the go.Chill spot and very professional."
"A few misses here.We visited for lunch on a Friday and had a good experience with a few areas for improvement. The warm bread came out promptly, which was a nice touch, but we were unsure if it was meant for the hummus since the hummus arrived about six minutes later. The zucchini fritters had potential but lacked the crispiness I expected--squeezing the zucchini to remove excess moisture might make a big difference. For my main course, I had the pastitsio. While flavorful, it arrived warm rather than hot, and the texture in the first few bites had a bit of grit. The bathrooms could also use more attention--one toilet was clogged, and there were paper towels scattered on the floor.Despite these minor misses, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant. With a few tweaks, this place could easily elevate the dining experience!"
"The food here is OK. It took over 15 minutes. People that ordered after me got their food within five minutes. I ordered a beefteki (baked beef) pita $13.73, chicken skewer $6.04, side of rice $4.40 and a froyo $7.09. Everything tasted OK. It wasn't great."
"Lovely wine bar at a very convenient location in West Portal. Food, wine selection, and service were absolutely fab. Officially one of my favorite spots in town."
"There seems to be less people every time we go to the mall. You can sense how hard it is for the businesses. But that doesn't stop the staff from being super sweet & kind!I only got one item, the gyros fries, and it was delicious! Crunchy fries, lots of sauce, & beef (or lamb). Will try other items next time. :D"
"Good falafel wrap. Nice to grab a quick bite and watch a bit of movie on the big screen."
"Super nice staff. First time here at Spark Social after missing my rowing class across the street. Seriously who locks their doors before class starts with lights off and leaves just their dog roaming in the lobby? Ordered at the tablet but I also see some people paying with tickets, not sure where they bought the tickets and whether it is a better deal. Got the combo plate $18 which is a great deal for a huge amount of food -soft pita, well-seasoned chicken and beef shavings, salad, fluffy rice, and plump fries plus a side of hummus. Everything was so good and satisfied my halal craving. If it is not so difficult to get to this part of town, I'd be back on the regular."
"Located right in the heart of San Mateo. You order and pay at the register before getting your food. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The lady who worked the register brought our food over to us. FOOD: Chicken gyro bowl & beef/lamb gyro plate are both really filling! The main difference between the bowl and plate is the pita bread and size of the salad. With the plate, you can choose between rice or fries. Everything tasted pretty fresh as well. It's also super clean in there too! I"
"I see All the Nick The Greek place all around the Bay Area. But I never stop by there till today on the opening day for free lunch at the Metreon in SF. And this is my first time trying out Greek Food. And they food is so delicious. Especially. The Lamb Gyro Pitas & The Greek Fries are so good. I recommended it. And once I get paid again I'm having lunch and dinner at Nick The Greek place again"
"My husband and I ordered takeout from this place. The portions are incredibly small and not enough. The food tasted disgusting and lacked flavor, I don't think they even used salt. Not to mention the chicken was raw! We ended up throwing our takeout and went somewhere else for dinner. Photo of their food is not the same when you order."
"Will go back just to eat the rice pudding and octopus again and again and again! We were able to scoop a bar reservation for a party of 3 and they put us in the corner where we'd be able to face each other more for conversations than sitting side by side. There was a draft because it was directly down the hall from the front door, but it wasn't too bad especially after a glass of wine. Didn't snap pics of the entrees we got, but we had the stewed goat, the ravioli and moussaka. The orzo was my favorite! But hands down the appetizers and desserts were the best. Quite pricy (~110) per person but it was incredible and definitely one of my fav SF resto."
"Loved the lamb chop medium rare, best branzino and arugula salad with candied walnuts and oranges! Moussaka have a strong nutmeg/cinnamon and I prefer their other restaurants Kokkari better. Will def try the octopus next time and their dessert"
