"I've been here a couple times for their lunch buffet. For $16.99 they offer plenty of dishes to choose from including fish pakora, rice, saag paneer, chicken tiki masala, goat curry, a lentil curry, tandoori chicken, and the rice pudding for dessert. The naan is brought to the table and you can order as many refills as you'd like. The dishes have great flavor. I noticed everything is made in small batches so the food is fresh. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is nice. The parking can be a challenge since it's only street parking. This location (Portola) only offers the lunch buffet not the Clement location."
"Bao is located in the Mission District, and it is a great place for vegans and vegetarians, as well as omnivores. They have a large outdoor patio space and seating inside from some 50+ people. You order on the yellow menu paper. They offer delicious veggie xiao long bao (soup dumplings), which are vegan. The Shanghai vegetable fried noodle are some of my favorites (and contains egg). Bao makes from scratch their own noodles, and dumplings. Other favorites are the green beans, the garlic pea sprouts, and the veg. mushroom bao. The Sweet Bao Sampler comes with four pieces including black sesame, salted egg yolk (or "lava"), egg custard, and red bean, and its a nice ending to a meal if you can share it. Most dim sum dishes are in the $10 range and the platters are in the $15 range, and 2-3 dishes per person is ideal."

"I consider myself somewhat of a crepe expert as I eat crepes almost every Saturday for the last 18 years, and was eager to try Crepe Madame's crepes as she and her team were hired to feed 300 of our residents for Mother's Day. The savory crepes were healthy and absolutely mouthwatering delicious. I just loved watching her and her team do their magic, having fun, not getting tired after customizing each person's request. I went back and got a dessert crepe and savored that as I know I'd have to go back to my usual average crepes on Saturdays. A big thanks to Crepe Madame and her team for being so amazing and putting so many smiles on people's faces with their delicious crepes. Definitely a very delicious memorable event."
"Favorite sandwich spot in San Carlos. I regularly order is the breakfast sandwich and Roma's Club "
"We were expecting something totally different but pleasantly surprised. Apparently they were sued by someone and decided to change their in house restaurant to take out and catering only. They have a menu on the outside of the door with about 10 or side items you can order. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your order. We got chicken tikka, butter chicken, chicken kebab and garlic naan."
"I have ordered delivery from Sushi Go Go multiple times now, and they've always been fast at completing orders and great at packaging food. They use a cardboard box that makes it very hard to smush the sushi itself, and they even include a small aluminum dish to pour your soy sauce! I've ordered seared salmon nigiri and salmon rolls, and have always enjoyed my food"
"How does one write a review for a closed business?Answer: Pastel.Having tried many makers' foods in the past six months, I happened to read the menu here and something caught my eye.Having tried a number of other businesses' noodle dishes, it was an automatic to try their chewy curry noodles (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=SZ7YaXpxSSdH05i1RCk5cA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); not knowing what to expect, I was happily overwhelmed by the flavors, textures, and variety of ingredients in this meal. The noodles certainly lived up to its name being chewy in a good way. The portions were large as I could only finish 3/4th in one sitting. The rest became my soup for another meal. I also how well packed my meal was (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=i-ApDc8OXDxl4UWBSqKqFQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q).Will look at their menu and check whether anything tempts me again like this one did. Try this if you are adventurous."
"Deep Purpl (great name, btw) exceeded my expectations with their acai bowl the other day. Only one worker was there when I went in and he was managing a few orders at a time, but he was kind and made me a terrific banana, strawberry, blueberry, and (don't miss this) PB acai bowl (actually a cup, who's counting?)The base açaí blend strikes the perfect balance between thick and smooth, without being too icy or overly sweet. They don't skimp on toppings either: strawberries, bananas, blueberries and PB layers create an Instagram-worthy presentation that tastes even better than it looks.Their commitment to quality ingredients brings them 4 stars, but the price takes back a star. 16 dollars for a smoothie is pretty wild. Still, the acai is notably pure and rich, unlike the watered-down versions you might make in the comfort of your own home. Will be back when I have the hankering; thanks for the acai (and for the megahit "Smoke on the Water"; wanted to fit that in this entire review)."
"The food was delicious but relatively standard Thai fare. We had Eggplant with sweet basil, green curry shrimp, green papaya salad and Tom Yum Goong soup (shrimp). They did not ask us for spice level. All but the green curry was mild. The green curry was medium. The restaurant was not crowded and the service was friendly and quick albeit a bit clumsy. The ambience was rather plan, it appears they may still be working in the decorations."
"We ordered the ceviche bowl (on a plate, not bowl) and chicken huancaina and vegan mushroom empanadas from the food stand at Carnaval SF over the weekend. There was no wait to order, though there was a bit of a wait for the ceviche (but not bad for a busy festival). It was worth the wait, plated beautifully, piled high and tasty. The empanadas were quite delicious as well, generous filling with a nice seasoning, and the sauce on the side added just the right flavor. Both dishes were very satisfying."

My first time here and we loved it. $16.95 for ACYE Indian food buffet is a deal. No time limit. I think they end at 2:00-2:30pm. They also had a really good rice pudding dessert. FYI: The drinks are not free but it's good. I had mango lassi and chai tea. Service is great and they constantly make sure to refill the buffet table constantly. They also take the plate from your table when done with the first plate. I had only two round as my friend had 3 round. I got filled up with the chai tea and mango lassi lol. Overall very enjoyable meal and I would definitely recommend. Also keep in mind it isn't the best Indian food in SF but it is the best Indian buffet food for the price. My favorite was the chicken masala, goat, palak/sage paneer, naan bread and to finish it off the rice pudding. I will definitely be back- bang for your buck which is hard nowadays after covid and prices for everything has gone up.

Came to SF for a work conference and couldn't leave without trying this spot. I ordered the veggie xiao long bao, and it was fantastic! Each dumpling was perfect, stuffed with veggies and savory broth. The broth inside was light yet flavorful, making the bite comforting. Definitely, dip your dumplings in the spicy oils! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meat or vegetarian option!

Low-key quality sandwich spot in San Carlos.Stopped in here for lunch with a friend today and was surprised at how broad the menu was; I've walked by multiple times and always thought the place didn't look like much, but looks can be deceiving.I ordered the Ami-Cado, which came with pastrami, salami, avocado, Lou's special sauce, and your usually sandwich fixings. It came on a noticeably shiny piece of sourdough bread. The saltiness of the pastrami worked well with the sweetness of Lou's special sauce, and the lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles kept the sandwich from being overly salty. The sourdough bread had that satisfy crisp that only sourdough can have.It didn't look like a big sandwich, but the Ami-Cado satisfied my hunger. And the price point was awesome: around $12.50 before tax. If you want a good simple sandwich, Lou's is the spot. A little higher than Ike's in quality, I'd say.

Food is great, most of the time. Really fresh and flavorful ingredients, well-prepared. This place is a pain in the butt & requires orders before noon. There's no way to change or add on to an order. Pricing for mainstream items is in line with the area.If you choose to splurge and choose a $30+ entree, I think it should be presented perfectly. They missed the chawanmushi and were not reachable by phone or email. They never responded and that was a waste of money.

My friend and I came here for the very first time yesterday. It was very nice to eat at a place at the Fisherman's Wharf area on a very nice and sunny summer day after work, which we don't really do very often. We ordered the CC 18 piece Sushi Combo, a bowl of Miso Soup, an Unagi Rice Bowl and an order of 6 piece Gyoza. We were so surprised and delighted at how good and affordable the food was! My Unagi Bowl was so delicious and my friend really enjoyed her Miso Soup and the Gyoza. After we finished off the rest of the Sushi Combo, we went to play the claw arcade machines where my friend, after many attempts, finally managed to grab and win a very nice purple stuffed animal purse. She was so happy carrying that purse as we left the restaurant.I highly recommend this place if ever you are in the Fisherman's Wharf area and are in the mood for some very delicious and affordable sushi and Poke Bowl. I plan to come back here again the next time I visit the Wharf on the weekends.

As the date of my 5-day workshop approached the instructor supplied a short list of nearby places to grab lunch, noting that there weren't a whole lot of options in the Hunter's Point Shipyard area. This proved just the impetus I needed to prove him wrong. If Basil the Bold is anywhere nearby you really won't care if there is absolutely nothing else in the area. Operating out of a building on Third Street, it seems Basil the Bold mostly processes orders for home delivery (though they're currently doing a Sunday Pop-Up at Laughing Monk Brewing). The address sports a sign announcing the business but it sits on a locked metal gate. I called when I arrived, to ask how to get inside, and was told someone would be out in a couple of minutes.I'd grown so excited by Basil the Bold's menu that when it came time to order I'd opted for The Hearty ($13.50) + a couple of add-ons, desirous of sampling as broadly as possible. The Hearty includes chicken, tofu, chickpeas, and nuts atop thick, chewy noodles and a plethora of fresh, crunchy vegetables. Packaged separately, but intended to go atop The Hearty, is a rich, spicy, red Thai curry sauce and a separate container of some sort of firey dipping elixir. I cannot overstate how excellent and satisfying this entire dish was.Basil the Bold has got spicy Thai-inspired bowls on lock-down. Nobody else is doing anything like this and if they were, I guarantee it wouldn't be as delicious as these. 100% 5-star reviews don't lie. I can't recommend this place more highly. There's a superstar in the kitchen here and everyone should be lining up to support her delicious offering. I cannot wait to return.

Affordable prices, plenty of toppings options. Friendly staff and you can get smoothies as well. Can't really eat inside unless you want to stand but the point is the acai bowls (which are in cups) are good!

"We have been using SF Food Market for about 4 years at our company for lunches and events. With certainty, I can say you won't find better value in San Francisco! They have been able to accommodate last minute requests and extra events with grace. For example, around Thanksgiving, I asked them if they could bring roasted turkeys and carve them onsite for our lunch at work (they were cooked to perfection and I didn't have to worry about anything). They have also have been reliable and punctual with all food deliveries and set up. Some of my favorite really delicious meals from SF Food Market; their themed salad bars, salad bar with french onion soup, pork and chicken Katsu menu. Plus they have to die for dessert offerings like madeleines and creme puffs, and everyone raves about their coffee cake."
"This ghost kitchen concept has bern popping up all over the bay area. I do miss being able to go out to restaurants in SF with shelter in place. However these kitchens bring some of the SF vendors closer to me. An ever growing roster of restaurants cooking until 2am is a good stopgap fix for cuisine cravings"
"Absolutely shocked this place only has 2 reviews. This Cantonese vegan restaurant is absolutely amazing and is 100% legit. We got the combination platter, eggplant with tofu, sweet and sour soup and wonton noodle soup. This is a must do for all vegans if they come to SF.Note: hours on Yelp is wrong, looks like they flipped the PM to AM. Also, see the menu photos, way more options compared to online order via Yelp."
"The good:I tried the Ube Cheesedesal from a food festival and thought they were great and fresh. I liked the appearance (purple, round and cute) and the fluffy interior. These are great as gifts or for catering events. They offer a lot of authentic Filipino dishes for catering as well. The bad:Ube desserts were something I had during my first pregnancy that led me to not be able to eat ube things again because I now associate it with the nausea I had during my first trimester. The interesting:I love how Filipinos use cheese in their desserts because it adds a creamy savoriness."
"Wow! Finally, excellent vegetarian/vegan delivery food! I remember the brick and mortar restaurant and I'm so glad to see it revived in its new incarnation. The Neatloaf dinner is as hearty and tasty as it gets. Can't wait to dive back into this menu again!"
"4.5 STARSWho stress eats? *RAISES BOTH HANDS* After a stressful morning, forget my lunch of baked chicken and a salad. Hello, Filipino food! Nothing says, comfort like a Filipino meal of carby and meaty goodness. Julsilog is a new Filipino eatery operating out of a ghost kitchen inside a Bayview hub that I regularly order delivery from. Takeout and delivery only. ***Grand Opening Promo via UberEats: $8 off your order***($30 minimum order) Per 3rd party delivery app, Julsilog is open until midnight on the weekdays and until 2 am on weekends. Perfect for the late night drunchies! M E N USilogs: Filipino breakfast plates with garlic rice and a fried egg. Protein options: Pork chop, fried chicken, embutido (meatloaf), tapa (calamansi cured beef), tocino (cured sweet pork), spam, and Impossible burger. They also have lumpia shanghai, wings, fries, ube shake, and buko pandan dessert. Everything is under $12 so very wallet-friendly. I ordered via UberEats and my order took about an hour to be delivered. It arrived warm and properly sealed to prevent tampering. Each item was packed in a compostable container (except dessert) and labeled...including the sauces. Utensils were fully wrapped. I appreciate the attention to details. F O O D* Lumpia Shanghai (6 pc - $6)Can we take a moment to appreciate the presentation? Most lumpia shanghai are just thrown in a brown paper bag. You can't go wrong with this Filipino staple. The wrapper got a bit limp in transit but that's what a toaster oven/air-fryer/pan is for. * Tocilog: Sweet cured pork w/ garlic rice, egg, tomato-cucumber saladThe tocino was rich, juicy, and moist with sweet-smoky caramelized edges. Not chewy or overly sweet like some tocino can be. GET THIS! Despite delivery, liquid gold flowed out and all over the rice when cutting into the fried egg. The garlic rice was ok...def needs more garlic because it tasted more like plain white rice to me. * Embosilog: Beef Meatloaf w/ garlic rice, egg, and cucumber tomato salad ($12.25)The embutido was delicious and stuffed with Filipino hot dog (pork) and boiled egg. For the silog, you get a choice of 2 sauces: banana ketchup, all purpose sauce (mang tomas), and/or garlic vinegar. I liked the garlic vinegar w/ red onions the best to balance all the savory richness. * Buko Pandan w/ coconut, pandan, sweet cream, jelly ($5)Nice sweet ending to a delicious meal. Lots of soft and chewy jelly and coconut. For those sensitive to MSG, I was quite thirsty afterwards so fair warning. Ghost kitchens can be a hit or miss so I was really impressed with Julsilog. Not only was the food delicious with generous portions, it was a great value and thoughtfully packed. If you're craving some Filipino comfort food, give this new business a try!"
"I love this place ordered with them a dozen times through doordash! Food is always fresh, hot and delicious! The burgers are the best and I love the tenders! The shake ms are just right nice thick and smooth to drink!"
"Ordered from DoorDash. Got Nasi Goreng (with gado gado and tumeric fried egg), and beef kalio. They came out to be at around $50 before taxes and fees.Everything is just ok. Especially given the price, it's not worth it at all.The nasi goreng is just salty with some spiciness to it. There's none of that "Indonesian" flavor. The add-on tumeric fried egg is good, of course. It's fried egg.Gado gado is meh. The peanut sauce is weak, not much flavor.Beef kalio is not great either.I guess my baseline to compare this is from Jayakarta (Indonesian restaurant in Berkeley, closed permanently, unfortunately). Compared to that restaurant, Sambal-sambal is not even close to what Jayakarta used to offer.Let's just say it's definitely not worth $50.Really disappointed that it's hard to find a good Indonesian restaurant now in the SF Bay Area. The only way to eat the good stuff is to go back to Indonesia :("
"Mama malewa has authentic Congolese food and good amount to have you full and save some for later."
"For sure will reorder! Tasted healthy yet flavorful. Had the chicken bowl with the green cilantro and mole sauce! Great price and can't wait to try the tofu bowl next."
"4.5 STARSLemongrass game is STRONG.If you like bold, flavorful Viet flavors without going deep in the 'loin or down to San Jo, I Do Phở You may be right up your alley. I Do Phở You is a new business located at 90 Charter Oak (ghost kitchen) offering takeout and delivery.M E N UViet fare: Spring rolls, imperial rolls, bánh mì, bún (vermicelli bowls), phở, bún riêu, BBH, and cơm tấm (broken rice). For drinks: Viet coffee, Thai iced tea, and milk tea. I ordered via DoorDash and my order was delivered hot and thoughtfully packed....in 30 minutes. Soup container was wrapped in a plastic bag to prevent spillage. Cute logo stickers.Side note: I did a price comparison and DD is several dollars less in service fees than Uber Eats. F O O D* House Special - Cơm Tấm Sườn Bì Trứng: Broken Rice w/ pork chops, shredded pork skin, egg ($18): https://tinyurl.com/2asxzbwj--Pork chops (sườn nướng): Two pork chops intensely infused with fragrant lemongrass and topped with scallion oil. They were quite dry but the flavor made up for it. --Shredded Pork Skin (bì): A personal must for me, I love the chewy gelatinous texture. --Overeasy egg (trứng): Still had an oozy yolk, enuff said. --Broken rice (cơm tấm): Perfectly cooked with shorter grains soaking up the pork chop marinade, liquid gold, and scallion oil. Not sure why it's so hard to find this in the city. --Salad: Crisp iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and pickled veggies. --Nước chấm: The fish dipping sauce was on-point, punchy and tangy with a funk. Not watered down. Yay for including a side of chili paste for heat. * Bún Bò Huế: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup w/ pork, ham, beef shank, pork blood ($16.95): https://tinyurl.com/5xnt7e78--Broth: Arrived piping hot, the broth was bold, flavorful, citrusy, and spicy. Not msg-y. --Proteins: Tender thinly sliced pork + beef shank, chả lụa (ham), and two blood cubes (in the broth). There's a lot of noodles so it could have used more protein.--Noodles: Sadly, the thick rice noodles were overcooked, broken, and mushy. --Accompaniments/garnish: Shredded cabbage, mint, basil, and lemon. No banana blossoms. --Sa tế: The lemongrass chili oil packs a spicy punch so you can dial up the heat. Overall, I Do Phở You has their flavors down solid. I think if they can get their timing right for their pork chops and noodles, they'll be a solid fiver."
"The bagel sandwiches we ordered were actually really good. We ordered through Grub Hub and also ordered coffees but got no option for cream or sugar and they didn't deliver any of those either so that was a bummer."
"I ordered the chipotle bbq, spicy Korean bbq, and the sriracha honey. Overall they all blew my mind. I've liked wings all my life but I never have enjoyed them so much that I ate all of the cartilage off as well. (Which I looked up while I was eating them, and is a great source of collagen.) but these wings were by far the best I've ever had. Specifically the Spicy Korean BBQ. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Especially folks that enjoy wings."
"Delicious burgers with house made sauces. My wife and I both tried the cheese burgers & shoe string fries. The burger is a quarter pounder, I was a little confused because the menu said 115g beef patty and I wasn't sure how much that was. Had to Google it. Anyhow, it was a damn good burger. Sometimes burgers can get messy but the potato buns held the burger like a champ. I liked the cash money sauce, it was a gingery sweet soy glaze type sauce that id imagine on a crispy chicken wings from a Chinese restaurant. We LOVED the fries. Definitely get the fries. Crispy, well seasoned and addicting."
"Food very delicious and fresh, price not fancy. Specially Hai Nan chicken is the best, I will come back again."
