"Cute little shop. They have a few small tables in the back. The service is pretty quick. Drinks are delicious. I hope they start offering different sizes."
"This tea shop is simply delicious. The shop is very inviting and warm, great for a tea date or catching up with an old friend. The pure iced hojicha green tea was light, refreshing, with just the right amount of roasted flavor. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had about the best way to brew the loose tea leaf bag we purchased (this also comes with a complementary ptea drink). Will definitely visit here again!"

"Have come to know Urban Ritual, first in the Hayes in San Francisco. Am beyond thrilled to find them closer to me in downtown San Mateo.Love that when one asks for less sweet the drink is... less sweet. In fact, even the fully sweetened drinks tend to be less sweet than other places. Love the ease of ordering at self ordering station and how easy it is to navigate the system.Love love the Asian inspired selections as well as the milk alternative and add-on choices.Parking is a slight issue as only street metered parking or in the Caltrain station or other parking lots. I hate to pay for parking when just jumping out to get a drink. Best to take a friend to jump out while driver waits on the car. Otherwise, street metered parking easily found. And I think the last time I only paid... 75 cents to park? Will I be back? You bet your matcha I will!"
"I've heard about this place for several years but only got to try it recently. I was feeling overwhelmed with all the options available and ended up consulting the cashier for recommendations. After asking me what my preferences were, he recommended me the Pistachio Jasmine Dream (seasonal drink), which I got with oat milk (no additional cost!), less ice, and less sugar. Boy, was it a good recommendation! I love it when I can taste the tea flavor in my drinks, and I could definitely taste the jasmine and the floral hints in this one!! The pistachio cream was also delicious, and gave the drink some creaminess and a hint of nuttiness.I've heard that this place is sometimes not consistent with their drinks, but I personally had a great experience when I visited! There's ample seating inside and the interior aesthetic is clean, warm, and modern -- perfect for studying or catching up with friends!"
"Ty Sandwich is a casual shop serving delicious banh mi for about $10 a pop.I tried the grilled pork and combination sandwiches. Both were solid. Parking isn't easy. I witnessed a lot of double parking. Definitely call your order ahead in advance for efficiency."
"The shop is small, but well kept and clean. They are located inside the Arco gas station.I ordered the flamin hot popcorn chicken with cream cheese sauce. The flamin hot Cheetos flavor is subtle. The batter was crunchy and the flamin hot Cheetos gave it extra texture. Chicken itself was well flavored and tender.I also ordered the heavy roasted oolong. It was alright. Next time I'd try something with flavor or a milk tea.Super friendly service, the girl at the register was really nice. She asked if I wanted the cream cheese sauce with the popcorn chicken and if I wanted any toppings or customizations to my drink. I also appreciated that they told me the popcorn chicken would take 10-15 minutes. Will come back to try other snacks and drinks!"
"I'm please with all my orders so far!Haven't been in the store, only through delivery but I discovered them while double Dashing and highly recommend you give them a try."
"Located in downtown Sam Mateo Pay for parking- meters or structured parking lotSmall store with limited seating Multiple iPads to order from to expedite ordering instead of waiting in line. Desserts were refreshing, moderately sweet but perfect to end the night"
"Went for BeverageFood - 5/5. Their matcha has a beautiful shade of grassy green with a rich flavor that is befitting of its color. It has a light taste with a hint of astringency and a clean finish. Their matcha drink kept it simple with a bit of sweetness letting you taste the matcha in its purest form. It had a viscosity that was slightly thicker than water, creating a nice mouthfeel. Matcha latte had the rich creaminess of milk with a sweet flavor. You could still taste the matcha and I enjoyed the more decadent sweetness and creamy finish.Service - 4/5. Cashier was professional and beverages came out quickly.Value - 5/5. I always appreciate when an establishment specializes specifically in matcha and Cafe Maiko reliably hits the spot. Beverage prices are standard with a large matcha being $4.80 and matcha latte $6.00. They do add sales tax after the price, which is unusual for beverages.Parking - Mall Lot/Garage (Free)"
"Tried the strawberry crepe from BB Tea's food stand, while attending the Piedmont Food Fest this past Saturday. It was delish! The thin pancake-like texture, filled with cold and creamy vanilla ice cream, topped off with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas... it was a nice little treat on a beautiful afternoon in Piedmont. The service could be a little better. There were five workers in the tent, and a large crowd of people waiting out front. The wait for my order to be ready was about 15-20 minutes... prior to that, I even stood at the order window for a bit before being acknowledged or helped. Beyond the slow service, I felt that these handheld sweet treats were a bit pricey for what you get. But the product was really good, and at least the staff was friendly, so 4 stars seems appropriate. Glad this SF tea and dessert shop could make it out to this event."
"I went to get boba this evening with my partner while we were in the area. We heard some great reviews of the place so we wanted to check it out.As for the service, the worker was VERY nice. He asked us multiple times whether we needed help with the order. We both ordered the dirty panda, which is oolong tea with Oreos and cheese mouse? Their boba was very good as well, the texture and the sweetness of it was good. The drink was about $7 with boba. They do charge for the boba which seems to be the standard these days. And there are tables and places to sit inside and outside the store. The store also has a few games that customers can play with."

PRO-TIP: Order off of the SnackPass app and just pick it up in shop! Or you can just order from the kiosk. I came here on a Tuesday around lunch time, ordered off of SnackPass and took less than 10 minutes as I was waiting in line in the sandwich shop in the same plaza. I got the Peach Oolong Lemon Tea at 75% sweet. They use real lemon slices in the drink, so there will be a bit of pulp if it gets loose or seeds. A bit more tart than what I would have liked, surprisingly at 75%. Peach taste was much more subtle, but overall the drink was pretty refreshing on a warmer afternoon.

The yuzu matcha sparkler or any other fruit sparkler is my favorite drink here. On a warm day, it's the perfect refreshing drink. The hot hojicha latte is quite watered down. I had to get the strong tea flavor to taste the tea. They said they brew the tea beforehand so that might be a factor in the light flavor. The default light sweet is truly lightly sweet. There was a small convenience fee to use the iPad to order, I didn't know that beforehand and saw it on my receipt afterwards.

I got the rice rice baby last time I went because i usually like rice tea. It was really good, i love the toasted rice that adds a crunch and gives texture variety to the drink. Unfortunately that drink is seasonal, but I would definitely come back to try their other drinks. My friend got the mango sticky rice which she was raving about and it was good, mango is not my thing but I can see it being good for other people especially if you like mango sago. The service was great. It was in downtown san mateo so parking could be difficult. Inside of the store is also quite small and loud so next time I would probably take it to go. Price is pretty consistent with today's insane prices for boba. I do recommend this place for anyone wanting to try interesting flavors of milk tea instead of the more basic ones

Been hearing about this place for so long, so I was so excited to try! Boba Bliss has a really cute and cozy interior, it definitely has an artsy chill cafe vibe. I ordered the Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte, and my friend ordered the Mango Sago. I liked my drink, I thought the matcha was still flavorful and fragrant, and the brown sugar added a nice sweetness to it. There was no bitter aftertaste which I always appreciate in matcha. It was good overall, but it also wasn't anything too special that impressed me. My friend ordered the Mango Sago, and they agreed that it was good, but not good enough to come back. They'd rather opt for other spots that might be closer, since Boba Bliss is around 40 minutes out for us. The service was really great, the workers were patient and took their time helping us with recommendations. Overall, Boba Bliss is a nice and trendy spot, just not sure if it's worth the drive for now.

Date: Saturday, October 21st, 2023Meal: Late Lunch / Early Dinner (Linner) TakeoutTime Ordered: around 2:45pmTime Ready: about 15-ish mins laterFood for a Party of: 53. Combination Sandwich ($9.99) x24. Lemongrass Chicken ($9.99), Extra Pate ($1.50)6. Grilled Pork ($9.99), Extra Pate ($1.50)10. Imperial Roll ($8)*Shrimp Spring Roll with pork ($8) x2*Vietnamese Ice Coffee ($7) x2*Bag ($0.25)I just realized after looking at my receipt, four sandwiches, three apps, and two drinks, with tax and tip, ended up being over $100. Oh inflation! Anyways, let's move on to my review...I got the grilled chicken with extra pate. The sandwich was pretty good. The pate nice and creamy. The veggies had a good crunch and pickle. The filling a good amount of chicken. I don't believe I tried any of the rolls, so cannot comment on that. The drinks looked standard. Not my cup of tea, (Or should I say coffee?) I like all my drinks pretty plain. Meaning no milk or sugar.Solid spot for banh mi, tho a little pricey.

The wait for the boba wasn't long so you get it right after you order it. The boba on the menu have so many selection you can choose from and I choose the taro monster and it was the perfect sweet and boba was very well balance. The service by the cashier was very kind and overall the environment is cool and very welcoming.

Boba places have popped up all around San Francisco and has become a common place to go to enjoy Boba tea. The Mission had many places to get Boba over the years. When Boba Guys closed a few years ago Brew Cha has remained in the area a few blocks over and still serves one of the most natural organic Boba Teas in San Francisco on 18th street between Mission and San Carlos street. The difference between Brew Cha and other Boba places is their quality of tea and their process of using an espresso machine technology to keep the freshness and flavor of the natural tea. It's in their namesake Brew Cha (cha means tea in Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese). I got the Passion Fruit Green Tea which was not too sweet at my request to the Bobatender. It was refreshing but there was lots of seeds in the bottom of the drink. It was also tasty and you can taste the natural green tea flavor. They have lots of other good drinks on the menu like the Lavender Matcha Latte and their Ube Taro Latte. If you like organic natural tea flavors this is the place to go. Get a cup of boba from the Bobatender with natural tea from the tea ecology Brew Cha is brewing not beer but brewing premium tea with espresso machine technology

"Societea Teahouse & Eatery definitely has a name that kind of screams welcome to all ABGs and Kevin Nguyen, but it's a pretty solid spot for boba and snacks. I ordered takeout so I can really only speak on the food and drinks mainly. The menu is fairly large which is nice to have so many options. Most recently I ordered:- Strawberry Matcha ($6 + $0.75 for Oat Milk)- Kimchi Fried Rice ($12)- Bulgogi Beef Sandwich ($12)Their strawberry matcha is priced as how you'd expect for a matcha latte nowadays. It's pretty sweet even at 75%, but I enjoyed it and I can see why it's one of the more popular drinks here. The matcha taste isn't too strong and is a little more sugary, but I actually prefer that sometimes. You can really taste the strawberry flavor as well. I'd get it next time, but at a lower sweetness. The Kimchi fried rice was good! The egg was fried perfectly. It has that runny yolk that was perfect with the rice. It wasn't spicy, but you can taste the kimchi flavor. I'd recommend this. The Bulgogi beef sandwich was probably my favorite item. They give you a ton of Jalapeños is you add it on though and I ended up having to take some out and there were a lot of seeds in mine. Other than that, I thought the marinated ribeye they used was really good and flavorful. It was tender and not tough to chew unlike some other bulgogi Bánh mì that I have had. They are generous with the toppings without a doubt.I'd consider Societea a place worth ordering from again."
"OMG - the quaintest and most amazing little crepe bs boba shop in mission! We tried the snores crepe, the Mexican crepe, and the heavenly crepe with strawberry! This place only has seating for about 8 people so if you see it empty, take advantage and spend some time here! The owners and servers are so nice! They even brought out free tapioca boba and Jamaica boba for us to to try and everything we tried/are was amazing. If you are reading this and there is a line, please don't stand in the doorway and keep making the doorbell go off. It's a bit of a mood kill. Haha!"
"Merry Christmas, thanks for being open.Quality/Quantity - My daughter craved a boba drink after our Christmas dinner. And of course we offered it for everyone. Drinks my daughter ordered for everyone were:Green Apple Green Tea with Honey Boba.Organic Jasmine Milk with Grass Jelly.Organic Jasmine Milk with Honey Boba.Classic Milk Teas with Aloe Vera - 2 orders.Atmosphere - Cool decor, see pictures.Open 7 days a week from noon to 11pm.Single unisex restroom; of good size.I believe that this is a BunBao pick up location, see picture. Service - Only one loyalty stamp per visit. Personally I think it is a poor business practice. There were 3 of us, and would you have preferred that we each buy our drinks separately? To create a longer line? This practice discourages us from supporting you.Is this practice just this location? Or your entire brand? It should be 1 stamp per drink.Price - $27, reasonably priced for 5 drinks.Owner Comment - Congrats on your franchisor's success since 2016 and your success at this location since 2018."
"5 stars for the best Super Fresh Fruit Tea: green tea 25% sweetness and light ice. I recommend as a takeout spot in the summer because there's no A/C, or for a few people to sit at the counter and barstools facing the window, a few chairs and tables outside."
"I came with a friend around 6 PM on a Wednesday night. The place is quite small with only a few seats at a bar available. Most of the other patrons brought their drinks to go. I ordered a matcha fresh milk with cheese creama on top. The creama was delicious and went well with the drink. The matcha flavor was very light and was mostly creamy from the milk. It was quite tasty but probably not the best choice for the matcha obsessed folks since the flavor was pretty muted. I also got an order of curly fries which were a great flavor and perfectly fried! All in all, a nice stop for a quick boba drink and snacks."
"I just tried the parmesan flat bread. Delicious. Also, very friendly and prompt service here for an in-and-out bite to eat. Can't beat the location for people-watching."
"Wow, I am glad I decided to wait until after all the school kids dissipated and came back. Their jasmine milk tea is excellent. Not too sweet, really strong brewed, and they understand how to measure "less boba" perfectly! They even get the ice just right. Also, even though their menu says "one size" they do sell 2 sizes of drinks and 2 sizes of snacks! The service is kind and it's a really chill place when the kiddos have all gone home after school. I'll be back!"
"I love their cream HK milk tea and their matcha milk tea! So bummed that they'll be closing soon. It's my favorite place for these two drinks. Please let it be that you're closing temporarily! Come back with your wonderful drinks because we need a boba spot here in the Embarcadero/South Beach area."
"Unpopular opinion, but I was rather underwhelmed with the boba here. Ordered a Passion Fruit Pineapple Tea w/ boba, and did not taste any fresh ingredients or particularly strong fruity notes in the drink. And the boba quality was only average at best. The interior is very spacious and cute. With many great IG-centric photo ops available. The drink took a bit of time to actually come out, and service is a bit cold and impersonable."
"Kyoto Uji Matcha LatteSuch a good match latte!! This was my first time visiting a Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea store after hearing so many good reviews and sentiments about it. I came in right when the store opened and was able to order using their self service machines. The matcha wasn't too sweet nor too bitter it was the perfect mix. I can definitely see myself coming back and trying more items on their menu!"
"Big and spacious boba tea location that also serves food! They offer board games to play and lots of seating options.Food: I didn't try the food, but the boba was okay. I would give it a 3/5 stars bc you could get better elsewhere and the flavors are not as strong.Service: they made my boba quickly but the workers didn't appear very friendly. Minimal eye contact and when I asked for napkins, they just pointed to napkins that were still in their plastic packaging instead of being inserted in their napkin dispenser.Ambiance: the seating area is clean and spacious. Lots of natural light. The bathrooms could be cleaner, but not bad. Great spot to study if you don't mind people chatting and playing games around you. Parking: metered parking and free residential parking nearby. It was fairly quick to find parking and in a safe neighborhood."
"We came here after getting pho next door . It's a small place and they don't have much seating room but it seemed pretty popular . They have a self order kiosk available which was slightly confusing to use because you couldn't see exactly which section of the menu belonged to which drink . I got the winter melon foam milk tea with crystal boba . My drink was super yummy and I'll definitely be back ."
"I order the original milk tea, less sweet, sometimes with regular boba and sometimes with honey boba, and it's one of the best milk teas I've ever had. Whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by. Haven't ventured onto other drinks because too happy with my choice. The place isn't a spot to stay and hang out, but that's probably because it is often really busy and can get loud with everyone waiting for their orders. No tables so it's intentionally a quick stop and go spot."
"Cute little boba shop in inner sunset. Comes out quick and many flavors. It's a solid tea shop."
"Fastes Boba in the WestThis boba shop has great tasting boba and great survive. The workers were all nice and no complaints. I was on a time crunch when I got there and my boba only took a minute to come out. Definitely recommend"
"When I think of neighborhoods in SF that are home to some tasty boba shops, Dogpatch isn't really the first that comes to mind. The Richmond and Sunset are usually at the top of the list, given just the plethora of options available, but I'm starting to realize this part of the city deserves more consideration! While the number of places to choose from aren't nearly as plentiful, the ones that I've tried here (and in the immediate vicinity) have all been so good! Boba Guys over on 16th (just on the edge of Potrero Hill) is probably the best in the area, and Little Sweet is always a great go-to for me. However, having been to Honeybear Boba a few times now, it looks like I have another to add to the rotation!Compared to other boba shops, Honeybear Boba is rather unassuming. In lieu of the bright, trendy, IG-driven aesthetic others employ, the decor here is a bit simpler and more subdued. That being said, their drink menu is still rather impressive. While they don't offer any sorts of food/snacks, the drinks are interesting, ranging from classic sorts of milk teas, fruity teas, and cremas to slushes, lemon-based drinks, and a handful of house specialties. Similarly, their selection of toppings lacks more unique offerings, like agar and popping boba, but it has all of the staples along with milk substitutes in soy and oat milks.-- WINTERMELON GREEN TEA...$5.25 (16oz)My friend who suggested Honeybear Boba recommended this one to me, but I thought it was just okay. For me, the taste of the wintermelon was rather subtle, so this felt more like a dark colored green tea with a slight aftertaste to it. I can see why she likes it, but it's (literally) not my cup of tea.-- STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE...$5.75 (16oz)Quite simply, one of the best I've ever had. Getting this 50% sweet was perfect, as the strawberries at the bottom were a bit intense. However, after mixing it, the overall sweetness was just right and the ratio of matcha to strawberries to the milk was really well balanced. Delicious!-- UNCLE LARRY'S DREAMSICLE...$5.75 (16oz)I love orange creamsicles, so I couldn't resist trying this. Although I do wish the taste and consistency had been creamier, the sweetness level was just right at 50% and I liked the hit of orange flavor. Just make sure you shake this before your stab your straw in (incorporating the two layers is a must!). Beyond the drinks, the other thing that I really liked are the workers here. Each time I've been, they've all been super friendly and the wait for your order is never all that bad. What's more, during my most recent visit, they were giving out samples of a new flavor they are testing out - a Rose Milk Tea that was really, really good!Even though Boba Guys has typically been our default whenever we've found ourselves on this side of the city and in search of milk tea, Honeybear has undoubtedly worked its way into the mix. It certainly doesn't hurt that there's never been much of a line, but it's also nice that we've been able to stop off for a drink while walking around after eating nearby. And considering how it seems like there are more and more interesting places popping up in the Dogpatch, it's safe to say I'll be back, especially if that Rose Milk Tea makes its way onto the menu!"
"Cute, small location at Stanford Shopping Center. It was easy to order on their touchscreen monitors. The drink was delicious and high quality. I got the classic Wanpo Milk Tea with Boba."
"Went there again last night and while the ice cream was good it was the end of the night so the product quality suffered greatly. The ice cream was gritty and full of little grains which I later figured out was milkfat that separated from the cream. They melted against the roof of your mouth like tiny grains of butter. We still ate it all because it didn't detract from the flavor but be aware of this if you serve the last of the ice cream (another customer after us was told there was no more ice cream.I wish I could contact the owners but don't see any contact information on their website. I need to give some feedback which I don't feel is necessary to post publicly."
"I have never heard of this place before so had zero expectations when I walked by. We walked in and ordered the two green-tea based drinks that sounded the best - one grapefruit and one peach both "less sweet." It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, but it was a busy Sunday. I had no clue what to expect and these drinks were soooo good. It was basically a fruit slushy and the grapefruit one had chunks of grapefruit in it. Tasted super refreshing and wasn't too sweet. Drinks were about $6 each and were pretty large. Overall, great experience and can't wait to try more of their menu next time."
"Easy to order, kiosks are user friendly. Super nice, very welcoming. Drinks and food are delicious."
"Was watch a friend of mine playing in a band on California street. Wifey and I got a little thirsty so we decided to go to Ume Tea. The inside is very whimsical there are definitely tons of photo ops inside this location. The servers were super nice and took the time to explain things to me "I'm definitely not the guy to ask about boba drinks etc." I ended up getting a Thai tea, fortunately for me I didn't have to tell them what sugar level I like as it comes with only one sugar level" The tea was..... well drinkable, nothing to write home about. Overall 3 stars IMO."
"I spend thousands of dollars at the bakery each year buying buns and cakes for my family and friends and as a reward for a high spender like me.. I recently received a free bday sponge cake. Love it how they rewards their loyal customers with a generous gift but it's not good as it looks.I ordered this bday cake for my family member and had the most pleasure of discovering the components of the cake. Fruit is fresh, cake tastes fresh however, why do I feel they are skimping out of the sponge cake? Every cake I order from them, I am instantly reminded of how skimpy there are but every time that perhaps... maybe they ran out of cake?? That it's okay to forgive them cuz they are busy? But after buying their cake year round for entire family about 8-9 people, but over time, I came to the conclusion that there is no hope that they will fix the way they make their cake. Unapologetically skimping.25% cake20% fruits55% cream I'm trying to be very fair and report the truth. Maybe the chef loves whip cream and just feel that the cake is better with whip cream? I'm thoroughly disappointed with their cake making practices. I just cannot find the sincerity that's supposed to make me feel appreciated as a customer. Very disappointing."
"This is my go to spot for fruit tea. I love the selection of snacks here and I always get the spam musubi which is my favorite. They have a few tables inside and I bring my kids to hang out here and quench our bubble tea cravings. Love the setup inside as it's nicely laid out. They have a big screen you can order off of or a QR code in each table you can use the order from the phone or just the old fashion way of ordering at the register. I like the multiple options making things more convenient! Definitely give the spot a big thumbs up!"
