The food was good, champagne was cold, and the oysters were fresh. It's a cute little place and parking wasn't bad, we parked around the corner on the street. I ordered the crab cakes as well and they were yummy. Will def be back!"

There were a a couple options for pizza and I loved the veggie one, and it was pretty affordable for the portion size. We also ordered wings and a salad which I thought were ok. Overall thought this was a nice bar with good outdoor seating and food!"

I usually order delivery through doordash but even though it's amazing, I can't take good pictures because they're in to go boxes.I've been ordering here for a while now and food has always been amazing. And whenever I'm feeling sick, their Yellow Dal is my go-to food medicine. It's similar to a lentil soup but it has more texture and thicker.Prawn biryani is also my favorite and the only food I've been ordering since (including yellow daal).Food can get spicy sometimes and so make sure you specify your spice preference.Staff is also great and the lady was courteous and attentive. She made sure we have everything we need."

"A longstanding gem in the West Portal neighborhood for grab-and-go authentic Italian fare, Little Original Joe's is a lively corner shop to stop in for deli, pizza, pasta and even soft serve. Many order on their website then come and pick-up. Otherwise, order at the cashier and the friendly staff will bag your goodies when ready. We ordered a slice of pizza, spicy vodka pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich. The latter was more carbs than protein, but their pizzas and pasta are da bomb!Few Al fresco tables outside, don't expect to find a seat, especially on weekends."

I was so confused to see a sandwich station right in the middle of the liquor aisles. I got a spicy mama and it hit the spot. Packed with so much flavor and was super filling. The pesto on it too was so fresh, almost like a chimichurri. They had a great selection of chips to go along side with it too."

My pizza was very delicious and exactly what I expected, just one thing I was surprised is the prices , they don't match website, online it says 20$ For chicken garlic and I paid 36$ in store. Was contacted by business owner and figured out I got a bigger size than it states in the menu that's why there was price difference, I appreciate fast reply and explanation of my confusion. But I guess there needs to be some easy access to different size prices so no one else gets confused."

Uli B. "I am that kind of person that likes drinking wine, but I am terrible at choosing wines. A big wine list at a restaurant intimidates me and walking into a wine shop like this, with shelves full of wines, has a similar effect. What I liked about The Jug Shop though is that they "curated" a select few of their wines by adding little notes to the shelf. Kind of like you'd find in an independent bookstore, where you would find staff picks with little book reviews. Now, I'm pretty gullible and who know if they just posted notes to the bottles that they wanted to get rid of, but I liked this touch and it helped me zoom in and focus on a few choices. In fact, I even took a picture of the little "review" they'd written and sent it to my my friend who hosted me for dinner that evening and for whom I'd gotten a bottle of wine. This store is a "weird" one in that it looks and feels like a warehouse, yet there is a tasting area set up in the back of it. And browsing through some of the other reviews, I understand that they host serious tastings here and are quite professional at what they're doing...which in turn gives me confidence that the "staff picks" were honest and true. Lastly, I want to mention the Roti Roti truck in the parking lot: what a genius idea to pair this food truck with a wine store! If I weren't headed for dinner, I would've totally picked up a rotisserie chicken that would've certainly gone well with that bottle of wine I'd just picked. In fact, I've worked with the folks from Roti Roti for a company event and their chicken is fantastic."

Brittany K. "What a cute little deli with friendly service! The reviews rave about the breakfast burrito, which is pretty good for only $8! It comes with egg and cheese wrapped around a loose filling of potatoes, salsa, sour cream, and bacon (or sausage). I asked for super crispy bacon and it was quite floppy, but I actually prefer the sausage here. I like that the egg is fresh cracked with the white and yolk visible, instead of a uniform scrambled yellow. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious, but I prefer the larger amount of veggies when I ask for "everything" at Parkway, Lucinda's, and Falletti's."

However, tonight they went above and beyond with customer service. The driver realized- after delivering the order and walking away - that the order was missing items (before I noticed, by the way.) He immediately told me he would go get the items and bring them back. They had very little to offer in their deli case and no falafel but then again it was Sunday mid-afternoon.They did have fresh tulips that grabbed my eye, fetchingly displayed in bouquets right outside the shop. I didn't like the chewy roll (I swore I said wheat bread though o.O) that they had but I must say, the pickled vegetables and what not on the sandwich made it a very tasty one. I must admit, the meat was very thinly sliced but I think we got a good amount of it. It's not as bad as Vietnamese sandwiches XDWe also got the grilled burrito. It didn't look too good because it was already grilled and just sitting in the case AND it was late in the night so I was thinking about how long that thing had been sitting there but my bf doesn't care about these things...and I'm glad he doesn't. That thing was one tasty ... burrito BUT only if you eat it with hot sauce. That made all the difference, I swear! Anyways, that burrito was so impressive that I'm currently looking for its recipe x_XWe also got 2 of their salads. One was the pasta (whichever one that didn't have the cheese) and a plain cucumber/lettuce/tomato salad. They were both very good. The guy behind the deli counter was VERY nice and I liked him a lot =) He didn't get flustered dealing with my bf and my indecisive self and was very smiley =)"
