"Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant staff welcomed our large party warmly and even allowed us to order drinks before everyone had arrived. During the appetizer phase, we were treated to a delicious variety of both hot and cold appetizers. The pacing was spot-on, allowing us to sample everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. For the entrée, I had the Branzino with a side of pilaf rice, and it was absolutely amazing, the fish was cooked to perfection. For dessert, I ordered the baklava ice cream. While I wasn't a huge fan of it (the ratio of baklava to ice cream felt a bit off), it was still a sweet and enjoyable way to end the meal.Definitely a great restaurant, and I'll be sure to visit again when I'm in the area!"
"I've had really good luck getting a table at this place even on weekend nights. Table for one. The wine list is spectacularly quirky with all kinds of Italian delicacies. I've never had a bad dish here -- but I recently had a truly outstanding gnocchi dish in a prawn and lobster sauce that was so good I wanted another bowl of the sauce to enjoy. The prawns were cut into pieces about the size of ehe gnocchi so you never quite knew whether prawn or dumpling was in the form. So good."

"Review #002 - 2025I haven't written too many reviews lately since I feel like--unless a business really warrants a great review or a really poor review then I'm kind of wasting my time.I used to write reviews because I enjoyed the interaction with other Yelpers; but lately, Yelp just doesn't have that same community feel from when I first started. However, that shouldn't stop me from writing an honest review when a business deserves to be commended on their food/service.My two sisters and I showed up with our 3 daughters on Friday, February 21, around 5 PM.We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was pretty slow since it was still early for dinner so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. I didn't ask her name, but she's a cute young Asian girl, who always had a smile on her face.We ordered quite a few items to share. My older sister and two nieces each ordered the wagyu burger, which they all said was made to their liking. We had the pa'ina wings which were really tasty. The salt and pepper wings were a little salty for my preference, but the kids seemed to enjoy them.We had an order of regular fries and garlic fries, which we all enjoyed a little too much, considering we're all suppose to be eating "healthy".We ordered the garlic noodz with seafood and that was pretty tasty as well. The garlic butter shrimps were our least favorite because the shrimp had a weird smell, like it was drenched in lighter fluid, but the kitchen tried to make us a new order and it still came out smelling the same so they were kind enough to just remove it from our bill. The poke nachos arrived late, but we still enjoyed it. My sister ended up taking the rest home for her husband. The manager was very sweet! She brought the kids some complimentary pineapple Dole whip as an apology for the shrimp fiasco and sang "happy birthday" to our 16th year old niece. The whole experience was very memorable! We'll try to return should we ever happen to be in the area. Our waitress took some photos for us with their Instagram-worthy wall :)"
"Food was really good, just the salmon skewer was a little bit on the drier side. Otherwise flavor and presentation is good! Karaage chicken was very juicy! Service was amazing, they took the time to explain the menu. It is a great place to meet with friends, drink and munch on some tapas."
"This place has been on my list for a while and I'm so happy I finally went! I entered through the back, so don't park on the Embarcadero if you want to enter through the front. The space reminds me of an old school diner and the staff were super friendly! We ordered a pastrami sandwich, salad, and the french onion soup which were all amazing, especially for the price. Don't skip out on the soup as it was probably the best I've had in the city."
"Came here for a friend's birthday. In the back of the bar, they have a semi-open patio dining area with picnic style tables. We got the Sycamore Chicken and Waffles. I love that it's not an ordinary waffle but a Belgian-Style Waffle stuffed with prosciutto and manchego cheese, pretty unique! There were really big pieces of prosciutto and it wasn't super cheesy, but the flavors still came through. The fried chicken was decent, tasty and drizzled with Makers Mark Maple Syrup. Love that you can get either a half or full portion of this! (Half order is basically a two quarters of a whole Belgian waffle. We also got a Carnitas Benedict, but honestly, there wasn't anything too special about this one. The sopes were on the harder side, so it was hard to cut. It was topped with a decent amount of carnitas, poached egg, roasted jalapeno, hollandaise, pico de gallo, and cotija cheese.Of course we had to try their famous Pork Belly "donuts." The group ordered a few orders of these so everyone could try one. Pieces of pork belly are battered and fried. On the outside is a bourbon maple syrup glaze and some sea salt. They were interesting, but not sure if I'd pay 3 something a pop for them. I'd say, try them at least once!"

"We came rather late but there was no wait or line. We were seated right away. I had the pomagranate fizz non-alcoholic drink and hubs had the henhouse beer. He never drinks or likes beer but said it was surprisingly good! My drink was refreshing and delish! We had the back ribs pizza and the cheese was super good. My other half said it tasted like feta (slightly gamey) but I tasted none of that. I really enjoyed the fresh cheese and it reminded of queso fresco. We also got a Margherita with Italian fennel sausage to go for the kiddos and that was also tasty! Love the thin crust. Reminds me of new York"
"If you want an amazing dining experience with old world charm this is the place. It been a while since I have been here still the same great food . Will definitely be back . Thank you Garden club for an outstanding meal"
"Love the service here!!!!!Best espresso martini in the city by far. I usually do not like espresso martinis, but I do really enjoy it here. Also have tried a cosmopolitan, hugo spritz and gin and tonic here which all were great. They play fun music and have a large interior and exterior where it is great to catch up with friends. I have not tried their food, but it is on my bucket list to come here for dinner! This is an iconic SF spot that is a must try."
"The happy hour is straight BANGIN', mmkay?! First, they hit me with $1 oysters. Now, you know I can't say no to oysters... especially when they're only a dolla! HOLLA! And, then they hit me with the $6 happy hour dranks! YAAAASSS! The drinks are on point and their Moscow Mule is the bidness! You must try it. But, that ambiance though! The atmosphere is truly amazing here. Very low-key with an eye catching setup. It's hard to believe that this bar is tucked away behind the Metreon. It could easily go unnoticed if you aren't actually looking for it. I stopped here before meeting up with some friends to see a movie. I was not about to spend an arm and a leg on expensive ass movie fare and I had a little bit of time to kill before the movie started. So I thought... why not? You walk up a few flights of stairs from behind the Metreon, turn left, and then BOOM! This gorgeous little beauty will be right at your feet! Their patio is beautiful! It overlooks the ever so stunning Yerba Buena Gardens. One a warm city day, you can't beat the views here. I came on a weekday during happy hour and the place was busy but not overly packed. I really think that this has something to do with its' hidden location, but hey... I ain't complainin' about it. Despite this, the bartender who was holding down the bar that evening appeared to be a bit overwhelmed. The wait wasn't too long but there definitely was a wait. I ordered a dozen oysters, truffle fries, a Sangria, and a Moscow Mule. Everything tasted wonderful! The oysters were a on the smaller side, but they were fresh. They rotate the type of oysters that they offer pretty frequently, but I guess I came on an itty bitty oyster day. Their drinks are very tasty! I enjoyed their sangria, but I was most impressed with their rendition of a Moscow Mule. It was missing the cute mug that I'm used to and the color was unusual, but damn was it good! And, those TRUFFLE FRIES! Just PERF! They were served piping hot and perfectly seasoned. The dipping sauces were legit! This would probably be a go-to item for me if I frequented this spot on the regular. They also have a restaurant menu if you're looking for more than just appetizers. Happy hour is from 4-6:30 every dayum DAY! Yes, you heard me right! This bar has one of the best happy hours that I've been to FiDi! If you're looking for a great little happy hour spot in the city, then look no further and check out B."
"The food here is great, with generous portions for the bento box. The ramen is decent, but the crunchy sushi roll was outstanding. The interior is clean, and the staff is great!"

Came here on a date night with my bro after being impressed with the reviews on Yelp! I'm a big fan of Greek food, and don't feel like I eat it often enough. The vibes in the photos looked perfect for a chill night out with delicious food and drinks!I made a reservation through OpenTable, which was helpful to make sure we didn't have to wait. The place was decently busy, but definitely not full for a Saturday night. We came after dark, which I recommend, as I think it really highlights the lighting and aesthetics! DRINKS:Slay (vodka, white rum, muddled fresh berries, fresh lime juice & ginger beer - $14): This was such a delicious cocktail, I got two! Highly recommended for a smooth, fruity cocktail that's got a little kick. Latte ($6): My buddy got this one instead of his second round of adult beverages, and had really good things to say about this as a pairing with the Profiteroles. FOOD:We came with the intention of ordering a handful of starters and other dishes to share. This is a great spot for that, as they have lots of delicious shareable dishes!Pita Bread - The warm, fresh tasting pita bread comes free as if you were at an Italian spot bringing you a basket of fresh bread. The only difference is they don't offer free olive oil or balsamic vinegar to dip. This is where they get you, by enticing you to get some of the delicious "Greek Spreads" so that you're not eating dry pita. Tzatziki (sheep milk yogurt, cucumber, fresh mint & dill - $9): This was a delicious take on a classic spread/dip. It was creamy and flavorful. Paired perfectly with the pita, as well as the other dishes that needed a little cool contrast. Tirokafteri (roasted bell pepper, imported spicy herbs & feta cheese - $9): Another creamy and delicious dip. This one was a little spicier than the Tzatziki, but not too spicy. My buddy, who is really sensitive to spicy things, loved this one! The feta was a nice touch on the top and added some great flavor!Calamari (deep fried Monterey calamari with housemade tartar sauce - $16): My buddy ordered this one, as I'm very particular about the calamari I like. I did try a few pieces, and as someone who isn't huge on calamari, this was good. It wasn't overly chewy (one of my biggest gripes), and the breading was flavorful.Zucchini Cake (crispy zucchini cakes with cucumber & mint-yogurt dressing - $14): These were good, not great. I enjoyed the crispiness and fresh taste, though the flavor didn't blow me away. I probably would pass on these in the future. Oven Baked Prawns (wood-oven roasted prawns with tomato, onion, fresh basil & feta - $14): These were also good but not great. I would consider ordering this again, but I feel like I was hoping for a little more bold flavorful that stuck with me. Saghanaki (pan fried Kefalotyri cheese with lemon & oregano - $13): This was the star of the show. What the description doesn't mention, is that they pan fry it right in front of you! It comes in a small skillet, and it gets lit at your table. Once the flame goes out, what's left is some incredibly crispy and flavorful cheese.Brussel Sprouts (marinated crispy Brussel sprouts - $9): Indeed crispy and delicious. I definitely enjoyed these, and would order them again!Greek Fries (French fries with mild spicy garlic yogurt fondue - $9): This was a solid portion of deliciously seasoned fries. They were a great side to everything, and were perfect dipped in the Tzatziki and Tirokafteri.Homemade Profiteroles (homemade hollow pastry filled with French vanilla gelato and topped with melted chocolate sauce - $9): What an incredible dessert! The presentation on this was amazing, and it was so good! The flavors paired amazingly together, and it was the perfect way to end a wonderful meal!Overall this was a meal to remember. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and the food was authentic and amazing. The vibes are perfect for a date night, friends dinner, or any meal where you just want incredible food! I look forward to bringing the wifey here for a night out very soon to try some more of these delicious dishes!IG: @bbnem.eats

An absolute authentic Italian gem tucked away in the Castro. From food to ambiance, this place doesn't miss a beat. Sporting a great happy hour menu, delectable pastas, and the best tiramisu I've ever had, this spot is perfect for a night out or to fulfill that comfort food craving. I'd recommend starting off with wine and fried calamari, of course the pomodoro and burrata pasta, and finishing with an espresso martini or pour of grappa, and the delicious tiramisu. There isn't a bad bite to be found on this menu, nor is there a bad seat in the house.

Cocktails are A1. Good place to watch the games. Large area for party reservations. Ample space for seating. They're well known for their wings which are pretty bomb but I especially enjoyed the drinks here.

I had a rough NOC shift so I decided to go out and get something to eat so here I am. I waited outside 10 minutes before they opened and I am glad they did because this place got packed so fast. I ordered the Uni flan, the seasonal wagyu bone marrow, 3 premium skewers (Hokkaido Hotate & Uni, Uni x Wagyu x Ikura, Maguro Toro Negima), and the Kurogami ice cream and matcha mochi. The Uni flan was very unique and was an explosion of flavor with every scoop. The skewers were all well seasoned and very enjoyable. The Wagyu bone marrow was very tender and the side salt and wasabi complimented it very well. The Sesame ice cream with matcha mochi was very creamy and had the right amount of sweetness to it. The staff here are really nice. They checked up often and they even gave great food recs. The restaurant itself is very contemporary and gives off late date night vibes. All in all a great experience. Definitely check this spot out. Try it out if you like. :)

Perry's menu is pretty straightforward. There is something for everyone. I've had everything from the Cobb Salad to the Reuben sandwich, and everything has been great. They even make their own potato chips!Service was warm and hospitable. The view of the Bay Bridge is unparalleled. Ask for a table by the back windows or eat outside if the weather is nice. The full bar serves tasty drinks. Brunch is available too.We had the chocolate lava cake for dessert.Prices are reasonable--3 people $116.00.It's located in an inviting spot on Stuart Street. Boulevard and the Harbor Court are nearby.

Popped in on a Sunday night for SF beer week. Located in the mission this divey spot felt like a good atmosphere and group of regulars that we were catching on any given night. They also host trivia which intrigues me, and had a wealth of board games to play and a tasty sounding bar menu. Their outdoor patio in the back and pay what you can art work from local artists on the walls gives the impression of community which I liked!

This place was amazing!! Let me start with the seafood doesn't smell fishy or taste fishy. The fried oysters were amazing! Very flavorful. The New York steak was great and I got a side of chimichurri ! So amazing. The calamari tasted so clean and delicious. Not chewy at all.Our server was great! I don't know her name but she was a cute lady that is from England. She really provided the best customer service. Cocktails were also delicious we had some Hennessy sidecarts. We wish we had a place like this back home in LA. The food also came out quickly and was still hot! Such a great place

I recently moved to the area and am on the hunt for my go-to pizza spot; I still have many more to try but I can say this one is definitely up there! The Greek salad had a great flavor and proportion of toppings, but had a little too much dressing for my preference. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the pizza crust is fantastic--the outer crust was nice and fluffy, but the inner crust was thin without being flimsy / falling apart. Probably one of the better pizza crusts we've had! However, I was expecting a little more flavor contrast on the Calabrese Honey pizza. I thought there would be more of a spice kick, balanced by the sweet honey, but everything kind of blended together and didn't taste particularly spicy or sweet. It was still good though! We sat in a booth by the kitchen and really enjoyed the ambiance. The restaurant just felt open, bright and warm, despite the gloomy weather outside. We went early evening on a weekday so it wasn't terribly busy, but I imagine this place fills up on the weekend. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other pizzas or entrees (I was surprised how many other options there were)!

"Bangers and Mash.Shepard's Pie.Caesar Salad.A large array of libations and beer choices. The hazy IPA was delightful. Friendly service. Great prices. They easily accommodated the request to place the Caesar dressing on the side. Easy ordering. Fast arrival of food. And, honestly, we ended up at this location because it was close to our hotel and open late. After a long day of sightseeing, we just didn't want to go too far. And I'm glad this place was so close because it had all the right vibes at exactly the right time. I'll also say that I was very thankful to step off into this place from the uphill stroll, and windy conditions, when we did. Just a stroll away from the Chancellor Hotel or an easy walk after jumping off the trolley!"
"Almost as good as House of Prime Rib! I was able to make reservations with no issues and no wait. The restaurant is located in downtown San Mateo. Parking can be difficult depending on timing of the evening. I think it was the Owner that constantly checked on us during dinner. He was very friendly. It was my birthday and they offered a complimentary tiramisu. My husband and I enjoyed the food. The only difference between this place and HOPR is the entertainment from servers mixing salad and etc.Overall I will definitely come back!"
"I loved the rooftop garden at Dirty Habit! It's super cute and there's an abundance of heatlamps and firepits to keep you warm. Their drink selection is pretty vast and I loved their food menu as well. The milkbread, seared scallops with ikura, and Japanese gnocchi stood out to me as the best dishes. I couldn't get enough of the milkbread with kaya butter!! The scallops were seared perfectly and I loved the ikura on top to add some saltiness and brine. The Japanese gnocchi sauce was to die for. Portions are a little small.I'd definitely come back for after-work drinks & snacks with the girls!"
"I love this spot. Been coming here for a long long time. Not as often as I used to since I moved out of the city. But whenever I can. Stopped on Thursday before going to a show at the Victoria. Margarita (the bartender) was super welcoming and an absolute gem! She was so wonderful and I absolutely enjoyed chatting with her. She really made my night after a very rough day. And as always the martini's were fabulous! Thank you Margarita for turning my day around! This place is truly special!"
"Casual breakfast spot with Some of their standout dishes including the corned beef hash, Nutella waffles, and chicken & waffles. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's a great place for breakfast or brunch. Popular menu items like their Irish hash and fried chicken sandwiches are consistently flavorful. Though the food quality is generally good, some customers feel a few dishes could use more seasoning. Overall, it's a solid option for comfort food and friendly service ."
"Fantastic lunch at Perry's today. Service is always amazing and bar top tables were open. Steak sandwich, burger with blue cheese, everything was delicious. Perry's had a fantastic vibe and is impossible to beat for lunch. Tons of art and history everywhere."
"Came here after work with a group of coworkers for a happy hour. Divided into three sections, Mars Bar consists of the main bar area, a dance floor, and an outdoor patio dining area. Due to the rain, we pretty much stayed in the bar area the entire time. There are plenty of both table and bar seating options available in the bar area, and both staff and bartenders were quick to take our orders. There is a pretty good selection of bar appetizers to choose from, and everything that we ordered was sizable and enjoyable. The bathroom situation here is a bit oddly constructed. There is a women's restroom inside. But the men's restroom is a separate addition that can only be accessed from the outside."
"Love coming here to start a bar crawl. It's always a great time and even though the drinks are overpriced, the music is always good!My friend has gotten their phone stolen outside of the bar so keep your processions close to you when you're waiting in line."
"This is an amazing location The staff is very kind and welcoming I love the ambiance here very elegant Perfect for our date we came here We had such a great time at this wonderful restaurant We had a delicious dessert a picture worth a thousand words Over all 5 stars if not more"
"3.5 stars is spot on. Service is very good, at least for us. Carnitas were excellent, I use these as a marker because sometimes they're super dry. But these were very good. A couple of beers on tap (I wish there were more) and the margaritas look good, but my friend wasn't drinking so I didn't imbibe. It's really unfortunate that this neighborhood has deteriorated so much. The restaurant was kind of empty. I hope they can survive, and I promise to do my part and return when I can. But this whole area now is sad and deserted. ugh"
"Beautiful restaurant conveniently located near UCSF. The back patio was a great place to enjoy lunch and a view. The menu is on the small side but what they did have on it all looked good. Everyone enjoyed their food, so big plus for that. While the staff was friendly, not the most attentive. We stood up at the front register for several minutes waiting for someone to come take the order. They also charge for drink refills..... which is a choice for this type of establishment."
"Amazing staff, and the food is on point every time!! 10/10 They are truly wonderful & caring people & this place especially after work is a guaranteed mood boost."
"Update to my last review - we came to Celia's for a weekend lunch and had a much better experience than our first time around. I ordered the queso fundido and ceviche tostada and both were delicious. We asked for corn tortillas on the side of the queso and it was great to fold the oozy, hot cheese into the warm tortilla and eat it like a mini cheese quesadilla. The ceviche was very citrusy and refreshing. I washed everything down with a super margarita which was not watered down at all, yay! My husband ordered an express burrito which was HUGE. It was easily enough for three meals, so he had plenty of leftovers. The kids got some nuggets and fries as well as a burrito with rice and beans. I'm not a fan of the seasoning they use on their fries but at least the kids were willing to eat them. Complimentary chips and salsa. Chips are fresh and warm, the salsa has a kick to it, it would have been nice to have a milder option."
"Lovely "old school" feel. Great service alongside an ambiance decked in dark wooden finishings on walls, fancy chandeliers. Although different, this place gives balboa cafe vibes-- and I mean this as a compliment. For the slightly "older" crowd- 30+-- this will be your spot - especially if you're trying to get away from the 21 year olds doing coke in bathroom- trying to be fancy. Oh just kidding.... Anyway, go here for a romantic dinner or drinks. There's plenty of seating situated in various vantage points for some productive people watching. Or- if you wanna solemnly gaze into your sweeties eyes- this will be your spot too. Your wait staff will definitely make sure you're having a good time. The food is just the right amount of bouge. And kudos for having French sparkling wine. Will definitely go back."
"One of the best carne asada's I've had in San Francisco (includes the Mission). I like mine to taste like it's been grilled over an actual flame, and few places can get that down right. Probably because most just use a gas stove. The flavors are phenomenal. The salsas are actually spicy, the guacamole has just the right amount of onion. They follow instructions flawlessly. 2 things to note: - Super burrito size was not "mission style," it was closer to a bean&cheese burrito size. It was enough to fill me up, but just keep that in mind. Looks like the reviews are inconsistent on it, and sometimes they're bigger. - skip the churros. The caramel sauce is amazing, but the churros were just okay"
"I fly into work routinely and this place is always a must visit. Their food is absolutely delicious, way more delicious than a bar should be! Their crab is fresh and they go so far as to ensure meat quality on their crabs are all up to par for their customers. The owner always treats her guests extremely warm and it's always a pleasure coming back to her hospitality. Ambiance isn't anything phenomenal but it's really the food and service that's gets us excited to come back here. Flavors are always blooming and authentic!!"
"And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been -- Rainer Maria Rilke A last minute reservation for NYE resulted in a lovely dinner at MKT. A 6 course second seating with music and DJ to ring in 2025. The food was excellent...particularly the tuna amuse bouche, caviar course, truffle pasta and wagyu tenderloin. View of SF was pretty and we got a deal on a half bottle of Ridge 2015 Montebello when my first choice (the cheaper choice) was sold out. The DJ was heavy on 60's - 70's almost novelty hits, could have used some more funk or Prince. Service was outstanding. A great dinner at the last moment :-) Highly recommended! At least on NYE :-)!"
"I like Victory Hall for a few key things. One, service, really solid bartenders. Two, ambiance, have to say the space/music/decoration combo gives off positive vibes. Three, food, diverse menu regardless of what you might be in the mood for.Lastly, the Happy Hour (see photo attached). Runs all night Monday and from 2-pm, Tues-Friday. If you're looking for a good spot to pre/post game after watching the Giants, come on in!"
"Ate here with another couple. Terrible service. Mediocre food. Large, super loud and annoying party next to us ruined the ambiance. Maybe we were just here on a bad night, but i think they need to try harder."
"I'm glad to see The Bistro at ONE65 reopen after a long break! I'm a fan of their amazing Patisserie on the ground floor but had never ventured upstairs til this month. The Bistro is a more "casual" California/French dinner restaurant on the third floor with an open kitchen. ONE65 is also home to the Michelin-starred fine dining concept O' by Chef Claude Le Tohic and Elements Bar.ONE65 Bistro currently has three set menus - two, three, and five courses. The prix fixe menus are a bit on the pricey side, but depending on what you order, they can be more in line with typical San Francisco pricing. We opted for the three course menu (two sets total) and were quite full, especially after the irresistible complimentary bread. We started with some refreshing appetizers - vibrant kampachi ceviche and seasonal heirloom tomatoes with basil and burrata. Finishing the leftover sauces with baguette from the bread plate was a must. And the decadent croissant - perhaps the most buttery I've experienced - was sinfully good on its own.The main courses were both substantial. I chose the campanelle pasta with romesco mascarpone sauce and mushrooms. This was quite enjoyable, with the hearty sauce easily picked up by the al dente campanelle ruffles. He got the grilled half lobster, and though I think lobster is generally overrated, I found myself impressed with the tenderness of this one. Our server indulged our request for more bread, so we got to also try the brioche, another winner! And if that weren't enough bread, we opted for the cheese plate with walnut bread for a savory dessert course. The other dessert was a spin on a peach melba, with poached peaches, strawberry sorbet, and a crispy almond cookie.Overall we really enjoyed the meal, the friendly service, and the counter seating open kitchen view. When I'm feeling splurgy, I definitely want to try O' given how strong this bistro menu was"
"Wow--just wow. I've never had a Pozole or tacos this good in SF. My partner and I were very impressed with the food quality served here.Their baja fish tacos were huge and filling. The fish was battered well and soft and flaky on the inside. Each portion comes with two tacos. If you didn't want to share, both would be enough for a good meal.Their wagyu quesabirria tacos were solid. The meat was soft and juicy, and the side broth was very flavorful. It was very similar to the Pozole.Their Pozole was the standout. It had a very rich umami flavor and was loaded with meat. I could easily slurp bowls of that down. It hit the spot on a cold and rainy day.We will definitely be a future customer at this spot. 5/5."
"Now this is one stylish bar. Not surprised this is owned by Hillary and Gavin Newsom's PlumpJack Group. Wildhawk has that kind of monied vibe. The interior decor felt like a contemporary boudoir heavy on the use of black and white floral prints with dark green backgrounds. It's pretty spacious with plenty of seating mostly for cliques of young barhoppers.I sat at the bar since I'm not a young hipster. The craft cocktail was extensive and intriguing with specialties focused on martinis and vermouth. The bartender was super friendly and queried me about my recent and upcoming travels. I tried a couple of the house cocktails in relatively quick succession. The first was the $17 Sueltate, a tangy Latin-based libation. It had mezcal, tequila, basil eau de vie, genever, lychee, chiles, and lime (photo: https://yelp.to/a2cciaCorB). Quite a sweetly piquant treat. The second was the $17 Diving Swallows, quite a tropical carnival of a cocktail with a couple of scotches, San Janz rum, galliano, pandan, and coconut milk topped with buttered popcorn (photo: https://yelp.to/gHq6BVlXQz). I'm a sucker for coconut...literally, so I was hooked on this one fast.COCKTAILS - 5 stars...audaciously creative cocktails that work very wellAMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...stylish but not invasive SERVICE - 5 stars...the male bartender was great...didn't catch his nameTOTAL - 5 stars...$17 cocktails but worth it in this settingRELATED - Exploring the Mission? "Best dive bar in SF. Great bartenders and servers (Jessica Michelle Christina Katy Deborah Alicia), great cook (Jorge) whose been there 20 years, great food, specials, well priced drinks, and fun live music every night they're open (Tue-Sat). It's off the beaten track, and a jewel of the city."
