Derrick S. "I had the pleasure of dining at 707 Sutter, a cozy Korean restaurant, around 6 pm. At that time, it wasn't too busy, but as we settled in, more customers started to arrive--a clear sign that we were in for a great meal.Food:I ordered teriyaki chicken with white rice, and we started with a plate of shrimp. The food came out hot and well-seasoned, with generous portions that were perfect for sharing. Every bite was delicious! We ended up passing dishes around the table and still left with a few to-go boxes. Those dishes included Spicy chicken, chicken wings, fried rice with vegetables and beef dumplings. The flavors were rich, and the BBQ chicken had that perfect smoky sweetness. A special mention for the shrimp appetizer--crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. It really set the tone for the meal!Service:The service was top-notch. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, making sure our glasses were always full and checking in just the right amount. It's always nice when you feel well taken care of but not rushed.Ambience & Cleanliness:The atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of seating, which made it comfortable even as the restaurant got busier. The dining area was spotless, and the clean bathroom was a plus. It was easy to relax and enjoy the meal in such a well-maintained space.Extras:I also enjoyed a hot cup of saku, which warmed me up, and made sure to stay hydrated with water. The contactless payment was convenient, and I appreciated the modern touch.Overall, 707 Sutter exceeded my expectations in every way--great food, excellent service, and a clean, comfortable dining environment. Highly recommended if you're craving Korean BBQ or just a fantastic meal with friends or family!"

Dan F. "First time here, and I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite spots on the Peninsula. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw someone actually chopping wood for the cookers--now that's authentic Texan barbecue! Finding this level of barbecue along the Peninsula, or even across the Bay, is rare, so I'm thrilled to have discovered this place.I stopped in on a Saturday for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive barbecue menu. I opted for the 3-meat plate (with two sides): brisket, Louisiana sausages, and pork ribs. Everything was perfectly cooked--succulent, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. While the proteins were outstanding, the sauces deserve just as much praise. The "Capeliente" was a standout; I loved it so much I went back for a second cup. The DiabloXX (smoked habanero and jalapeño peppers with ghost pepper extract) had a nice spicy kick, but it wasn't overwhelmingly hot, which I appreciated. I also tried the Porklicious South Carolina Mustard and Sweet Kansas sauces, but the Capeliente and DiabloXX were my favorites. The sides were classic barbecue staples, rounding out a complete and satisfying meal. The venue offers plenty of parking, along with indoor and outdoor dining areas and a bar. I'll definitely be coming back for more very soon!"

Wasn't too expensive so we came by on a Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes in line to be seated, which isn't bad.FOOD:AYCE KBBQ. Pretty standard stuff. Solid Kalbi, with standard pork belly, brisket, and beef tongue. They have all your standard stuff with solid sauces - plus they have ssamjjiang which not all places have. Solid banchan as well. Overall a solid offering for a decent AYCE price.Steamed egg. A hybrid of steamed egg that they finished with HOT oil, which basically made it a fried scrambled egg on top, which was good, but not really what I wanted when I ordered the steamed egg, but definitely a cool offering - just have to know what you're getting into.Overall a good spot to just get some simple KBBQ at a decent price without the frills. Not the best quality, but without the wait and at this price, I might make this a more regular spot for me when I'm just trying to casually get some KBBQ. Service is solid so I'll likely be back."

Alyson W. "If I could gatekeep one spot, I would gatekeep this one. I've been coming to K-Elements since high school and the price and quality is unbeatable for an AYCE spot. Whenever we try another kbbq place, we always compare it to K-Elements as the standard. Unlimited meats at a very wide variety, individual cups of cheese corn, and very attentive staff always ready to help change out the grill. The dining room is huge and each table can accommodate parties of 2-6 at least and plays kpop music in the background, usually with a sports game on the big tvs. You order on your phone via the QR code placed on your table, and they bring out the meats and sides on little trays. Even back when I was in college K-Elements was the must-visit every time I came back to the city. Do yourself a favor and get the kalbi short ribs--they're the best. My only complaint? I wish the grills were bigger so I could eat it all faster :P"

Ed U. "I have to admit I've only been here once, but I already think this should be considered required dining in Chinatown. Between this and the tarts at Golden Gate Bakery (if it ever reopens), you've got a pretty good start on the prototypical Chinatown sustenance experience. I only became aware of this spot from a youthful vlogger who convincingly raved about the portions they serve here and how she's been coming here for years since it was such a good deal. It's on the corner of Broadway and Powell, so you'd expect it to be busy during the lunch hour. However, I got lucky and had to wait only for a senior woman who was buying a whole roast duck and having it chopped in a very peculiar way. I didn't see a menu or really have an opportunity to ask for one since the two men behind the counter were busy chopping meat and filling takeout cartons. Good thing I knew what I wanted though and ordered the $7.75 Roast Duck Plate (photo: https://yelp.to/_hME3M1-K5).I was amazed at how much duck I got and how much rice was underneath. I asked for some boiled cabbage just to break up the carbs and got it. I didn't eat it here but took it to nearby Woh Hei Yuen Park (review: https://yelp.to/XwtIch49ZB). Big mistake. The picnic tables were taken, so I had to sit on a bench where my duck was attracting a flock of hungry pigeons. Even with my arms flailing to wave the pigeons away, the duck was certainly tasty enough, and I'd definitely return.FOOD - 4 stars...incredibly cheap chunks of roast duck over rice. Interior is simply designed. We ordered and shared these BBQ meals. Served with 2 side & slice of bread. The meal also comes with pickled cucumbers, red onions, and jalapenos.Burnt Ends with potato salad, baked beans & cornbread. The burnt ends were juicy and smoky. The beans were good, though maybe a little underdone on some of the beans. But smoky, and had some heat from the smothered spicy BBQ sauce. The potato salad was pretty tasty.Brisket with French fries, coleslaw, & garlic bread. The brisket was tender, juicy. A good mix of lean and fatty. The coleslaw needed something. It just seemed.like chopped cabbage. I wouldn't order this again. The fries were hot though potato-y. So a bit underdone.Pork Spareribs with French fries, mac n cheese, & garlic toast. The ribs were tender, juicy, and smokey. I'd definitely get this again! The Mac 'N cheese was good.Stubborn Black Cherry Tarragon Soda. I enjoy this flavor alot. The service was ok. I was impressed that it had a good amount of clams. The skewers were pretty mediocre in my opinion. I've had better at other places. The seasoning wasn't that great. There were quite a few flies buzzing around, so do wish they had some sort of mild bug control. The decor also was incredibly minimal; definitely didn't feel much in the way of charming atmosphere.Once the food arrived, though, I was blown away! The service brought it up pretty quickly, and both the Chicken and Char Siu were well-presented, and well portioned. The Chicken came with a chickpea curry and white rice, and was cooked perfectly with a nice smokey flavor, and the Char Siu was melt-in-your mouth, and crispy on the outside. Overall, I was happy with my recent visit. Food was good, the dining experience was enjoyable, but when it came to the bill...!!! I presented my credit card and the waitress told me that there will be a 3% charge for using a card. Many places only accept card if your bill met a certain minimum, which is certainly understandable, especially with mom & pop stores, to implement this policy since the credit card fees are quite high and it means they basically make little to no profit if you have a small bill. But charging for simply using a credit card is outrageous. There was no forewarning. Merchants are obligated to display all possible additional charges at the register or any place where it's viewable by the patron, such as on the menu. I didn't see any on the menu; but I admit, I don't know if it appeared at the register since I was dining in the restaurant and there was no reason to walk up to the register. I learned today that what they did was wrong. Effective July 1, 2024, California passed California Senate Bill 478, which made it "...illegal to surcharge credit card transactions in California...California businesses are required to disclose the total price for goods and services upfront to maintain transparency and protect consumers from being surprised by additional fees when it's time to pay.""
