French (heh) and I have very classic tastes in pastries, so had some hesitation before I ordered a kumkwat danish and abricot-almond croissant. These things were mas-ter-ful. A bit flavor-centric for me to be judging the flakey dough by itself, but I am only saying that because after this first experience I am measuring Black Jet Baking against the highest of (my) standards. Might have been the best pastries I have had in 15 years in San Francisco.

I stopped by on a Sunday morning. Quite busy, but the line moves fast. Staff was super friendly!I got the blackberry scone, and it was great. Crumbly with some lovely crispy edges, just sweet enough from the fruit to carry the pastry, but not overly so. It was not as moist/buttery as I wish it was, definitely felt like I could have used a cup of coffee or milk to wash it down. Still much better than most scones , which I find almost inedible without a drink. Honestly weren't too many other pastries at the time that caught my eye, so not sure how fast I'll be back. Their pizza sounds amazing though!

Black Jet Baking is a perfect neighborhood bakery offering a delectable selection of pastries and savory treats. It has a loyal fan base, and on the weekend, you will often find lines around the corner. The entrance is small, as the space is all bakery. I enjoy buying several treats at a time to bring home, each one a unique and scrumptious temptation. The treats are worth the wait.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while, especially the famous Pop-Tarts, and it did not disappoint! The baked goods are excellent quality and not too sweet. It's a small shop so plan to take your treats to go.

Black Jet is my favourite local bakery in the Bernal/Glen Park/Noe Valley area. Most things here are good and some things are exceptional and I would go out of way to come here to get. My favourites first and foremost are the banana bread and the coffee cake. The crust that they get on the outer layer is what really makes these special. I also really like the pizza and the cardamom snail which is served in the weekends. The cookies and cupcakes here are alsoIt's a grab and go situation as there isn't any seating in the store but you can find a bench in the neighbourhood area to sit and eat your goodies.

Almost 6$ for a leaden, failed student baking project of a croissant. The pizza is alright and some of the other pastries are fine, though they all tend to lean dry. but come on. Master the fundamentals or don't put it on the menu.

I've been coming here for a few years, and it's always a great experience. They have an interesting seasonal pastry selection and excellent breakfast options. The BLT on a salty, pretzel-like bun is a standout, and the Pat Greaney ham with a hint of spice on a perfectly fresh bulkie is another must-try. The vibes are always welcoming, and the staff is fantastic. Highly recommend!Let me know if you'd like any tweaks!
