Beyond Cafe in San Francisco is a hidden gem for Hong Kong-style noodles. Priscilla, one of the owners, welcomes guests with exceptional warmth. The beef brisket noodle soup is a standout, featuring tender meat and rich broth. Keep an eye out for a future menu item soon. A must-visit spot for authentic flavors! Will definitely be back next time we are in San Francisco!

雲吞麵灣區第一。好過洪記!Yelp forces reviews to be at least 52 is a supper stupid practice. Most people don't get so much to talk about, this is as if foreced to skip commenting.

I'm on a wonton noodle kick lately. Well, my friends noticed and they took me (and themselves) to Beyond Cafe and I loved it. Been back a few times since and even convinced my husband to come here to experience it with me. The wontons and wonton noodles here at Beyond Cafe with the skinny noodles are phenomenal.Besides the wonton noodle, I was also curious about their cart noodle (車仔麵) which is a noodle dish that became popular in Hong Kong and Macau back in the 1950's serving noodles in carts to residents in public housing and on roadsides (according to Wikipedia). I didn't get to try this noodle soup last time I was in Hong Kong/Macau, so I tried it recently via delivery. I got their thick egg noodle with braised soup and with various ingredients including the Chiu Chau Fish Balls. Wow, so good! I was worried that I ordered wrong with the thick noodle as I have a preference for the skinny egg noodles, but it was so delicious. Great casual ambiance and good service. A little slow sometimes, but I'm willing to wait a little bit for yummy food. 10/10 recommend.Located on Bryant and 8th St. right under the I-80 freeway.

When my friend told me about having wonton noodle on south of market in SF, I was rather suspicious of how good can it be?Was I wrong! This is definitely one of the best wonton noodle in SF and dare to say in America.I've tried wonton noodle around the world. All the way from HK to Vancouver (which has one of the best wonton noodle) and the west coast of America.1. The noodle... Better than the famous wonton noodle in Vancouver(they used to be good, not anymore). The noodle is crisp and Al dente. After 5 minutes in the soup still not soggy. That's impressive!! The wonton has marinated with sesame oil and 大地魚粉... I think because you can taste the different. Excellent flavor. Perfect balance on meat and shrimp in the wonton. The soup is also very good, not as good as that legendary wonton place in HK and Vancouver but still good.2. Cart noodle - I loved the 咖喱豬皮魚蛋 and 金錢肚. Very tender, flavorful. The 油麵 is not what I expected. I think I'll stick with the Al dente thin noodle Milk tea was smooth and flavorful. True HK style milk tea. Like many HK style restaurants, their milk tea are lukewarm too, I wish they microwave it after around the evaporated milk cause it made it lukewarm instead of hot.Well, I'm thoroughly impressed. I can't believe I never heard about this place when the owner 昌哥said they have been there for 3 years!

This is one of my go-to restaurants in SoMa! Beyond cafe is well known for their Hong Kong style noodles, and for good reason. I always get their cart noodles, and the braised sauce is the way to go. Their offal ingredients are very tasty, and have never tasted gamey. You order using a plastic placard and a marker, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. The interior walls are decorated with sitting from customers, and you can tell that it is a beloved restaurant! Definitely a must for anyone wanting Hong Kong style food in the area!

I would never have stopped where this restaurant is located except for the recommendations by friends . Entrance is not clear nor is restaurant signage visible unless you really looked for it !! The building almost looks like it's vacant !Having said that , we managed to park across the street and went in ! I can't remember what noodles we ordered except that it was really good . Had we read the reviews, we would have tried the wonton noodles . Next time for sure . The server was very friendly. Told us where to park next time ! Place reminds me of HK style restaurants in side alleys . Can't wait to go back .

A great place for boat noodles in the city! There is a wide array of ingredients you can add to your boat noodles (personally I went with the tripe, braised beef, calamari and beef balls). The soup comes out warm (almost comforting) with perfectly cooked noodles. There was also a wide variety of side dishes and vegetables on the menu. Personally, I got the Chinese broccoli and it was perfect crispy dressed with some oyster sauce. Service is a bit on the slower side since it's a one man show for the front of house (and there are around 10+ tables in the restaurant) but the quality and price are well worth it. This is the perfect place for a chill weekday dinner when you're craving your favorite Hong Kong noodle dishes.

Best wonton in the Bay Area just like when I first tasted when I was little . I would know . That's the delicacy of my home town ! Very spot on , the soup size everything ! They are always under staff tho guess not easy to find staff in the area . Only thing I would change is that ugly wall with the chinese simplify words .... Plz use traditional chinese character to match your cuisine.

Solid no frills place for a good bowl of wonton soup. There was a good amount of people coming in and out so it seems like the locals come here regularly.
