I am once again begging people to come here. This place consistently produces the best food. This time i did a pork belly and mussel sandwich that was just unreal. Its in a nice beer garden with good beer. The people are nice. The food is great. I really want this place to thrive because it deserves it. Seriously ridiculously good food.

This past weekend was their opening weekend. We went twice for two reasons: 1) once everyone hears about it, it's going to be impossible to get the food before it sells out 2) they are such a creative team so I was really looking forward to their menuI'll get straight to the point. Everything is great. They are thoughtful in what they create and want to give everyone great food. Their pricing is also super fair and a great price for what you're getting. They aren't getting their meat and produce from Kroger. They are sourcing from farmers & high quality. Just check out the menu or IG and they put where they are sourcing or you can ask them! Ok to my faves. The deep fried crab claws. Oh my word. Soo good. The egg salad sandwich is definitely chefs kiss. The bread is so light and fluffy. Like a sugarless angel food cake. It's like a sandwich you'd get during a tea party- I love it. I hope they keep the egg salad sandwich as a staple because the menu will change. I really love the location. Summerhill is such a nice spot that isn't pretentious and is just a nice communal area. It's outside with a lot of seating. Have loud kids? Perfect space for that. Have a dog? Perfect space for that. Kinda reminds me of the old food truck park off Howell mill but Samwitch is the only place there. I forgot to take pics but I will next time!

While the food is good and the staff is friendly, the sandwiches aren't worth the $20 price tag; especially since they're not very big and don't come with any sides.

First off, it should be noted that the price tag for these sandwiches ($15-$20) is paying for the flavor. You can get more food for the same price at firehouse subs, but then you would be eating at firehouse subs. I heard about this place when reading an article about how the chef here used to work in fine dining (Miller's Union, I believe), and brought his skills to the art of the sandwich. And that's what this place is...art.Eating my sandwich was like reading a good book. The first bite was an introduction to all the characters, and each bite afterwards was unraveling the story of how they all interact together to create something larger than the sum of their parts. I took a bite of my wife sandwich, and it was a completely different story with different characters. I could have enjoyed exploring that one just as much, but I wanted yo finish mine.If you are looking for a typical, comfortable sandwich, this place is not for you. If you want to try something that you will never have again in your life ( their menu rotates often), then check this place out. It's worth it.
