I absolutely love Sam's Sushi restaurant. Whenever my mom visits from New Jersey, we make it a tradition to dine there on her first day. When you order the sashimi platter, they serve you at least 20 side dishes. Today, since I ordered for four people, they even brought out a lobster dish as one of the sides. It was incredibly fresh and delicious--like magic on a plate!

Authentic, flavorful, great variety without being overwhelming. If you're looking for real Korean-Japanese style dishes with sashimi options, don't skip out.

Despite multiple visits to this restaurant, the food quality seems to be regressing rather than improving. We opted for Sushi Combo A and B, the only distinction being two additional Unagi sushi in Combo B. Unfortunately, the sushi's quality left much to be desired. Accompanied by porridge, salad, side dishes, tempura, an entree, and a Korean traditional drink, the meal failed to impress. The sushi's fish lacked freshness, and the cuts appeared amateurish. The overall service felt somewhat robotic. Given this experience, we've made the decision not to return. Instead, we'll explore other Japanese restaurants for a more satisfying dining experience.

This is a hidden gem for authentic and fresh sushi/sashimi and authentic fried kabobs. I wanted my sushi/sashimi fix near Alpharetta instead of going to Atlanta and this was the place to do it especially around 8pm to 930pm since they stop serving and taking orders at 930pm and close at 10pm. The service was impeccable with a lot of attention and recommendations. Angela was great to assist me in the types of sushi, sashimi, and kabobs. They start off with a great amount of appetizers to your main meal. The uni, toro, salmon roe, abalone, sweet shrimp, squid, was great. I would def come back with an empty stomach and recommend this place to other avid sushi lovers and connoisseurs.

My family and I were visiting from out of state and we were craving Korean-style sashimi. We stumbled upon this Korean/Japanese restaurant in Duluth and ordered several types of sashimis including abalone, sea squirt, and sea cucumbers. The fish tasted all fresh and it was served Koreans style with fresh lettuce and perilla leaves to wrap the fish with, along with sides of Korean sweet and spicy red pepper paste and ssamjjang (sweet fermented soybean paste). The main was all accompanied by various side dish items. The side dishes were not the best quality but we really appreciated the variety and few complimentary items that they served us such as tuna tataki and spicy tuna hand rolls. The service is great and the staff was very welcoming! The price was very affordable considering how much food and sashimis were served.Would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want the Korean hospitality.

Hidden gem! My boyfriend and I went for a quick lunch and the service and food was great! We had our own private booth and the waiters were kind and hospitable and our food arrived quickly. We ordered 4 deep fried sushi rolls and were pleasantly surprised when they came with an array of sides / apps including miso soup, Korean potato salad, beef and more! The head sushi chef even came out and waved us goodbye. Very authentic experience tucked away in a quieter area and we will definitely be back! Great prices too and huge portions

Omg this was the WORSE sushi I've ever had. Idky it's called Sam's sushi cause they do not specialize in sushi. Their rolls were just awful awful awful. it was highly disappointing. The only thing we liked was their ban chon. Even their udon wasn't good. We literally went to Publix the next day and got GROCERY store sushi which is already low grade and it was better than the sushi here. It's hard to mess up basic sushi but this place totally effed it up. Everything was drowning in eel & mayo sauce and their taste is just down right not good at all. I wish I took a picture of just how bad it was but it was not worth taking up my storage space. I'm sorry for leaving a bad review cause I don't normally leave reviews but I always find a place to eat based on honest reviews and I wish this place had better reviews to have saved me the horrible experience.

Do not come here unless you're Korean. I frequent many restaurants and businesses that are owned and operated by Koreans - never have I felt discriminated against. Actually, quite the opposite. Everyone is normally friendly and pleasant. I cannot say the same for this place. No one here speaks English, and they don't care to accommodate you if you don't understand them. How can I support a local restaurant if they aren't willing to treat me the same as their other patrons? The first server was rude. She didn't bring us the proper menus - the menu she gave us only had one page of "sushi" and it didn't list any of the fish that would be in said sushi nor did it have rolls on there. She then straight up lied when I asked her if they served alcohol (she said no and didn't elaborate on it or even tell us she didn't understand what I was asking, just straight said no) come to find out, they do serve it. It wasn't until the second waitress came, by then we were ready to leave because we thought they had drinks, she brought us the actual menus we needed that had all of the sushi options they serve. I literally had to call my friend who is Korean to translate for me because they didn't even understand when we asked them for the check for our green teas. The minute we were sat down, we weren't comfortable. They did not treat us like how they treated the other customers that were there. Coming from someone whose first language isn't English, this was a wild experience for me. They should have some type of sign or warning about them being a Korean only business. We wasted 20 mins here going over a menu that wasn't correct and trying to communicate with the servers.

Service was great, I would give that five stars, however, the the quality of the sushi was comparably to the quality of a buffet and didn't look or tasted fresh.

Tried their lunch menu ($23 pet person) again, and the quality was better than earlier. - Their service is pretty good and the servers are attentive. - The side dishes are good! The lunch set comes with fish, eggs, rice with roe, and soup - Would give them 4.5 stars for their reasonable price, service, and side dishes, but I think their sushi quality is not the best (3.5/5)?
