We had fabulous French pastries and macarons at this clean and friendly French bakery! Cynthia and Emma provided excellent helpful service, including great advice on macaron flavors. Plus, I got a tasty double espresso!Life is good with French pastries and espresso! I went back for more!

Sundays bottomless brunch for $20... keep that in mind and immediately go because of the sandwiches? Great. Croissants? Great. Macrons? Great. Customer service is amazing and the vibes are so peaceful.

The service was not that memorable. There were several staff members there, and only one of them greeted us. The lady that took our order, didn't even smile once. We sat down at one of the outdoor tables while our drinks were being made, and they never came out to say our drinks were ready. The pastries and iced coffee were fantastic! It is expensive for one pastry, but it is totally worth it and the area located in has plenty of outdoor seating...which is great for people watching!

Check in Yelp before ordering there is a 10% coupon, I missed that. This place is mid. I got the creme brûlée and tart which I love both crème brûlée and tarts. So I was excited. It was ok and small disappointment the top looked crunchy but had no crunch. Was it terrible.... No it just wasn't phenomenal

Really enjoyed the coffee here! I just got two expresso shots and it was so good! I also enjoyed the tiramisu and macarons! This bakery is in a really good location and you can just walk there if you're in the area. The two young ladies gave me wonderful service. The seating areas gave a French vibe, super cute!

ORIGIN:Saint Germain French Cafe and Bakery opened at the Ponce City Market in 2016, and with its success has since expanded to four other Atlanta locations. The cafe and bakery is owned by a couple, Heather and Mathieu Jourdan-Gassin. Heather is from neighboring Decatur, while Mathieu is from southern France. Prior to opening the cafe, Mathieu brings decades of experience working in French restaurants in the Atlanta area, while Heather brings Southern hospitality.CONCEPT:Saint Germaine French Cafe and Bakery brings a taste of France to Atlanta, serving difficult to access traditional French pastries and macarons. Tea, coffee, beer, and wine, as well as sandwiches and quiches are also served.EXPERIENCE:The shop in Ponce City market is packed with French baked goods, including a colorful case of macarons and pastries. Entering the shop is like stepping into a jewelry box -- but one in which the gems are edible and a delightful sweet aroma permeates the air.As a result of the abundance of riches, it can be difficult to choose from the display, which also includes traditional eclairs, tarts, croissants, chocolates, and cakes. Following the advice of the shop keeper as to which of the vibrantly colored, artfully shaped pastries are both popular and not too sweet, the Paris Brest and Lemon Cube were recommended. At check out I eyed a platter of Caneles and asked to add one to the bag.Caneles are easy choices to take out. These rum-infused mini cakes pair well with coffee or wine. I was so glad to have tried one, but sorry I did not collect more to bring home as they transport easily. The Lemon Cube is artful in appearance and is composed of an intriguing combination of lemon meringue mouse, basil, and peaches. The Paris Brest, my favorite, appears to be a nod to the traditional pastry of the same name (Paris-Brest being the path of a famous bicycle race), and potentially a coy play on on an English homonym. Here it is reimagined and reshaped in .... dare I say... a form evocative of a Parisian's bosom, much like the Sicilian pastry intended to do bring to mind the same (Minne di'Sant Agatha). A blush-colored dome encases hazelnut, praline, and chocolate ganache.TIPS:Check in on Yelp to get a 10% discount on your first visit.Arrive early to get to both see and choose from a full display case -- a confectionery rainbow! The items are baked fresh and are not replaced as the day progresses. The vibrantly colored, artfully shaped pastries appear to hold up well to a day of refrigeration, so consider picking up another to enjoy the following day.Check out the list of other locations on their website.

This bakery was just the cutest located inside the ponce market , it's definitely a staples for amazing dressers. All the desserts look amazing, they were delicious and super interesting and with all the cute designs. Everything seems to sell fairly quick on Saturday morning , so by the afternoon most of it will be gone.

Delicious!!! My husband and I passed by the case and had to stop and try something! We tasted the tiramisu; it was AMAZING! Not too sweet, silky texture, delicious. We were so excited to try it that u forgot to get a picture! The staff were very welcoming and excited to help. Pro tip: you can't go wrong here, come with an appetite because you'll want to try everything!

Pretty neat location. But the parking arrangements are bad. First 30 are free if you can find a spot for it. Anything will cost $4 or more. They have a lot of desserts available. I came to try their napoleon for someone's birthday which was tasty, but not for me. I'm not a fan of this dessert because it's difficult to eat. It's not a problem on the bakery side, from my understanding, it's how that desert is meant to be. Again, just my opinion and it's not for me.I got a fruit tart and that was super yummy. I will go back for that and maybe another of their cakes to try. However, the staff was friendly and hyper vigilant on making sure their front display was full of their desserts. Once they sell something, are refilling the empty space as fast as possible. At the time I went, they had some wedding thing going on, so it was packed and I could not get a seat. However the location is sort of like a food hall and had places outside to sit which looked dog friendly.

As always French desserts look so amazing, and it's no different here at Saint Germain French Cafe n Bakery. You have so many desserts to choose from, such as macaroons, danishes, and tarts just to name a few. There's even specialty coffees and teas you can enjoy.
