I ordered lunch to go, the pho with brisket and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. They offered me water for while I waited but I didn't wait long despite the restaurant being full. The pho was some of the best I've had!! Very flavorful and filling. The spring rolls were good, but could have used some fresh herbs like mint, basil, or cilantro.

A local neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant brings great diversity to the area. I've seen this place change ownership and sad to say I didn't get to try it before to compare, but glad I made the stop to try it now. They have a variety of Vietnamese dishes, from pho (noodle soup) to rice dishes, spring rolls, and many more. There are plenty of things for you to try! This time, I tried the bò né, which is the sizzling beef platter and it was delicious. For $18, you get beef and onions on a sizzling hot plate, a slice of spam, 2 eggs, and bread to dip into the eggs and sauce, or to make a sandwich out of it. It also comes with a side of Vietnamese mayo and pate to assemble your sandwich and a side salad to start. I really enjoyed the flavor of this and it definitely hit the spot. I loved how crispy the bread was and how rich and creamy the pate and beef sauce was. I also got to try the pho which had good flavor, but was a bit on the salty side. The size is decent and definitely enough to fill you up.Next time, I would probably try their bành mì sandwiches to see how it is. If it's good, it would be a great local spot to pick one up rather than go all the way to Bellaire. The service was quick, and for a small shop, they were super attentive, and food came out quickly and hot and fresh!

The pho really pulls the weight of this restaurant. The fried pork egg roll were sub par: too oily and over fried (probably fried them in too of a temperature). The fried rice was good but lack flavor. There pho broth was developed. There Total Pho had a large bed run which was nice. The seafood pho had lots of shrimp and only 2 scallops. The service was ok. We were the only patrons when we arrived at Saturday 7pm. The server cleared the table for us to sit down and just placed it onto another table. He didn't clear the dirty appetizer dishes and only offered to fill up with water twice. Although he did ask if we needed anything when he bright our entrees. The restaurant overall was clean and organized. The parking lot is small and clean. I'd recommend the pho.

We ordered the grilled pork rice platter and plain pho (no meat). The food was really good - no complaints there. I think the grilled pork was especially good. It was packed up nicely for takeout, and the portions were fair.4 stars because we called in for takeout and had kind of an odd experience - the staff misunderstood our order and got the name wrong (even though I spelled it - just Phil, nothing fancy!). She spoke English fluently but the call was rushed and we needed to clarify several times what we wanted as she seemed confused (and not very apologetic to be honest). Maybe the connection was bad, but my husband and I both felt a bit stressed out by the experience.

I love Saigon Alley! Not only because their food is great, but also because their staff is fantastic and the service they provide is exceptional!I've tried several items from their menu but my favorite items would be their tofu spring rolls as an appetizer with shrimp vermicelli as my entrée. Deliciousness!Saigon Alley is consistent with their products and service so I will continue being a loyal customer!

I was on the hunt for Colombian food but the restaurant was closed, but I somehow ended up here and I am glad I did! It was a Thursday night and it was a bit slow. We got greeted at the door and picked a place to sit. I was extremely hungry so I wanted everything on the menu. I ended up settling for the Thai tea with coconut cream (it was a dream I love coconut so this is my new favorite) and pho. The drink was delicious and the soup was soooo flavorful. My friend had the grilled chicken rice plate I was skeptical at first because it sounded so simple. I tend not to order chicken when I'm out for dinner because I have chicken at home haha! But when her plate came over it looked super appetizing and she raved about how flavorful the chicken was. I will definitely be visiting again.

1. Service - Fast pace and efficient. When you come in, wait to be seat, order at the table, and pay in the front. 2. Price - It's more expensive than the restaurants in Bellaire. But we're not in Bellaire (Houston's Chinatown), we're in the Energy Corridor area. This is about average. Banh Mi's can range between $4 -$12, and a bowl of pho can range from $7-$14 a bowl. Look out for their Lunch Special deals. 3. Ambiance - Hole in the wall type place. Parking is not huge, and tables can fit up to 6 people for their largest table. So don't plan to throw a big party here unless you're booking the whole place up. I think they can fit up to 50 (estimated). Dress code is casual. I typically come here for lunch on weekdays, so there are a lot of business during the week catering to the professionals from around. 4. Food - For Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches), I recommend their GRILL PORK BANH MI. As for pho, I usually get their EYE ROUND BEEF PHO. The broth is the best in the area. It's not sweet, and a little more on the savory side. This is especially good on a cold Houston day. However, you can eat this all year round. Their meat for the EYE ROUND BEEF is served slightly raw, they dip it into the boiling soup before serving. The reason is to keep your meat tender, but by the time it reaches the table, the beef is cooked. You can request for them to place it on a separate plate, and you can dip it into soup whenever you're ready if you prefer it to be more rare.5. Cleanliness - Dining area looks ok. They can be hectic at times, and personally I think they can use one more person to help with the outside. It seems a lot for just one to manage. The waiter, the cashier, busboy, and the host is the same person. The kitchen staff sometimes help out with bringing the food out. So when it's packed, it's a lot to manage.
