Rutina Verde

Great food, sketchy environment. After seeing multiple posts on social media about Rutina Verde we decided to give it a try.Let us start with the food. We ordered three different dishes during our visit: two arepas and a portion of tequenos. All of the dishes were quite tasty, every bite full of flavor, nothing to envy to their non-vegan counterparts. One downside is that Rutina Verde is not cheap. Each arepa goes for around $12-15 and you need at least half more, so you will at least end up spending $20 per person.But the main reason for my rating is the place. Currently, the food truck is in a place that is not very welcoming. So, this +$20 meal does not have the proper environment to go with it.All in all, I hope Rutina Verda can find another spot for their food truck, as the food is worth it. My Criteria5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price.4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again.1 star: This restaurant should be closed.

I will definitely be back. I had the chance to catch their food truck at Roots Miami Cava Bar during their Wednesday Night Open Mic, and i am so glad i gave it a chance. As someone who is gluten-free and vegan but love tequeños this was an absolute dream! Their tequeños were amazing!! Their cashew cheese is impressive, and I hope to see them in Atlanta one day! My mouth is watering just thinking about them! The owner that i interacted with had great energy and by talking to him, I could tell her had a true passion for the food.

The first vegan areperia! The masa they use to make their arepas is delicious and everything is made fresh on the griddle. It's incredible that we now have authentic and delicious vegan renditions of traditional Venezuelan cuisine (including the cachapas, cachitos, hallacas, and tequeños) here in Miami! They put lots of love into their food and service with the results speaking for themselves. I'll make sure to add more pictures once I can find them.

I knew this place when they were at the farmers market so I was excited to hear they got a brick and mortar. I decided to order to support. Wow have they stepped it up. The foot especially the smoked oyster mushroom arepa is out of this world. The tequenllos are better than "real" ones. I just ordered from their sushi special today. I'm so excited!

I was recommended this place by a neighbor and decided to go ahead and try the vegan arepa. It was nothing as I hoped it would be, the meat was cold, the actual arepa was stale and the service was subpar. I can't imagine myself coming back unless I hear of some improvements. Wouldn't recommend.
