Holy mother of dough, this place is worth the wait. Came on a Saturday morning not really expecting the line, but this did give me time to consider my options and send the SO to get coffee from across the bridge in the other part of The Marketplace (although they do sell espresso drinks here as well). I suppose that's what happens when you're nominated for a James Beard. The universal fear of places like this is that you'll anticipate getting your hands all week on a warm, fresh, loaf or specialty croissant but they'll run out before your turn, so people tend to arrive early. Parking is free for 30 minutes in the covered garage. Fortunately, there are also dining tables and chairs around for those who don't like to be bipedal for too long. Even more fortunately, sometimes Ismael and his team will bake something yummy and bring it out to those waiting in line just because they like baking good bread. The only "menu" of sorts is a customizable letter board on the wall next to the register, which provides no descriptions of any pastries. So IYKYK, if you don't know, it's time to ask your neighbors in line or hold up the line while you probe one of the (extremely kind and friendly) employees taking orders. When you actually get within spitting range of the register, the display case is more helpful, and provides more accurate info on daily specials. Alternatively, stalk their Instagram account. The day we went, there were blueberry danishes, passionfruit tarts, glazed blueberry croissants, and other items that ran out before we even got there. The natas, little Portugese egg tarts, are a must try. Deceptively small but packed with gooey goodness and a flaky crust. The passionfruit tart was my next favorite thing, with the combo of silky pastry cream, tart flavor, and buttery crust. Danish? Perfection. Croissant? Stuff of dreams. The crookie was the only thing I might have passed on, a little too rich for me and hardened when I ate my leftovers later in the day. So excited that Ismael is such a young, hungry, carb connoisseur who constantly innovates with his offerings so I have more reasons to come back.

This chocolate croissant might be the best I've ever had. It was fresh, straight out of the oven with the perfect flaky to melt in your mouth ratio. I was blown away with the flavors but even more impressed with the incredible customer service. If I recall correctly the first time I was here, they served warm chocolate chip cookies in the long line to hold us over while waiting. Today we came much waiter and avoided the line but when my friend expressed interest in a custard filled baked good, the woman checking me out was so excited to describe her favorite treat, that she gave us one to split while we waited on our order. They always seem to be going above and beyond here and it's a place I still love to recommend. Great parking - nice spacious lot out front of the source. I would recommend coming early to snag a space and avoid the lines.

This place had some of my favorite things I have eaten this year. The croissants here are truly the most light, flakey, and delicious things I have ever had. It was amazing seeing the yummy things they were bringing out of the oven. We got a sweet churro croissant and the breakfast sandwich was out of this world. Great stop!

It's been a few months since we came here but it is... SO good. We tried multiple pastries and they were all excellent. It was soon after we moved to CO and I was honestly worried about finding a good pastry/bakery place since I know it's harder to bake at elevation but honestly so far, the bakeries we've been to have been better than any other place. And this one is impeccable. We came around 10am and had to wait maybe 30-45 min in line; then it was another 15 min or so to get our goods. I don't recall what we had, but I do recall one - that custard thing. SO GOOD!The ambiance is also great, there were a lot of other people, it felt lively.

This is probably the best bakery in Denver. Almond croissant was phenomenal and the Venezuelan sticky bun (golfeado) was amazing. Will have to try the pastel de nata next time!! And more croissants.

How has it taken me this long to try Reunion Bread? The Gruyere and Ham Croissant is to die for. I almost cried out of happiness. Also got the Nata and Golfeado. Make sure you're entering the correct building at The Source, though I encourage wandering around regardless. Everyone is so kind here, and I'm so appreciative of the hard work they put into one of the best bakeries I've visited in Denver! So happy I frequent RiNo often.

Best bread ever. But what's even more, best ham and Gruyère croissants EVER. Also tried the Venezuelan sticky bun they had last weekend and it was the perfect combo of slight sweetness with a hint of saltiness. Service can be a bit slow/seemingly unorganized, but it is so worth the wait! Limited coffee menu. Located inside the source food hall.

This bakery, although small, can boast about their big flavors and impressive quality they create so with that being said, its existence is larger than life. As I was running some errands in the very neighborhood where the bakery is located and was getting a bit hungry (it was a little past 10am), getting me a few things from this quaint place simply was a great idea. Upon arrival, I was immediately assisted by one of the workers. She was pleasant and prompt. She also mentioned about a few items that weren't necessarily displayed upfront but were coming out of the oven in a minute. I thought they were sold out; was good to know that they were making more!!I wanted something unique. I picked Churro Dulce De Leche ($6.00; churro croissant with dipping dulce de leche inside.) And to my right was a tray full of Pastel De Nata freshly baked so I asked for one of them as well. They are $3.50 each. The lady said to wait at least 15 minutes before consuming as they were still hot as hell. Well, I ended up not listening to the lady. Once in my car, I started to munch on the Pastel De Nata as my mouth was begging for it! And oh boy! It was hot as hell like she said! But at the same time, I was glad that I ate it hot because the outer part of the tart was so crispy. As I was biting into it it made that sound. I have had the real Pastel De Nata in Portugal 5 years ago but this was as delicious as the one I ate in the very country where they were originated. Impressive does not describe its goodness. And the churro croissant was equally amazing. The dulce de leche cream inside was magical. The two items I got from this bakery made my morning very sweet. They filled my tummy and I didn't get hungry for hours.
