Food was excellent. Fried tomatoes were great. Tried their hot honey peach margarita and I loved it. Service was quick and friendly. The actual ceiling tiles and atmosphere could use an update, but that won't stop me from going again :)

Walking in, I thought I had stepped back in time by about 45 years. The carpet, the art, it felt like something out of the 1980's. And most of the clientele looked like they were right at home, it was a decidedly more mature crowd, especially at the bar.Our server seemed to be a little shy and nervous. Several times, I couldn't even understand what he was saying. Anyway, we started with the Brussel sprout halves, just a great appetizer. They're tossed with their own seasoning and a little parm. I would have had no trouble taking the whole thing down. The turkey Reuben was a good sandwich, maybe a little more turkey would have been good though. Also it came out when we were still finishing the appetizer, so the timing was definitely off. But the Reuben had some slaw, Swiss cheese, and comeback sauce and with the toasted bread, it was a fine sammich. I got the side salad, really good as well. They did come together on a round metal plate, which I thought I would be more likely to see at a BBQ joint. We were pretty much done at that point so we declined dessert...at first. The waiter asked if it would be separate checks or one. Since it was just past my birthday, my friend offered to treat. Then the waiter informed us that because it was my birthday, we got free mini donuts. And that's about the time the angels started singing, I felt God's urging to indulge. And sure enough out comes a brown paper bag, with the grease stains showing through the bottom. The sugar was at the bottom, the hot donuts had been tossed in. Raspberry sauce and chocolate sauce. Wow. Amazing! Give me those over birthday cake any day of the week.It wasn't my greatest dining experience in Raleigh, but it was certainly a solid one.

Our party of 9 came in on a Friday night at around 6. We were originally quoted a wait time of an hour but luckily, they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. For the table, we ordered:-Fried Green Tomatoes - this came with six slices, some feta cheese sprinkled on top, and a dipping sauce. They were good but it didn't feel that hot, which is something I would expect from a fried food-Southern Mac (pimento cheese & bacon & topped with cheddar & mozzarella cheese) - this is definitely a good sharing dish. I can't imagine eating a whole thing of this by myself because after a few bites, I was already feeling pretty weighed down. I normally don't love pimento cheese, but it wasn't too overpowering here-Parmesan Brussels Sprouts - I enjoyed these. For some reason, I can never make brussels sprouts at home as good as they do in restaurants. Maybe their secret is just a ton of butter-Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts - I liked these even better since the hot honey gave it a bit of a kick, and it came with bacon bitsFor my entrée, I had the Shrimp & Grits (lightly spicy shrimp sautéed with bacon & green onion over cheddar cheese grits--served with grilled ciabatta bread). They give you a generous portion of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, and a heap of bacon. If you need a meal to put you into a food coma, this is it. The grits are cheesy and buttery. It was good but very rich. I was only able to eat half before I had to throw in the towel and get the rest to go. I reheated the leftovers the next day, and it was still pretty good.We were all stuffed but still wanted to try the Chocolate Chess Pie, so we got one slice of that to share. It reminded me a fudge pie. A little too sweet for me.As expected with Southern cooking, the food is pretty heavy. Instead of one person ordering an entrée, I would recommend just ordering a bunch of different things to share, so you get more of a variety. And you're not stuck eating a whole thing of mac and cheese by yourself.

We chose this location dine at for dinner as it was close to our hotel. They do have ample outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. You can tell it's a very family friendly/neighborhood spot based upon the individuals who were frequenting the establishment. My husband tried the ribs and they were tender and good, they were average at best. I had the pulled pork burrito that is smothered with Joe's salsa Verde, and filled with black beans and other goodies. It also came with a Mexican coleslaw. The Mexican coleslaw was okay. It kind of lacked flavor. It had a little kick to it, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.the salsa Verde did not sit well with my stomach the next day. Overall, the dish was huge from a portion perspective. Overall, the food was okay. there were a lot of large parties dining that night and . It was a little challenging to hear each other speak

Relish truly exceeded expectations with their shrimp grits! As a self-proclaimed foodie, I appreciate a dish that not only satisfies but leaves a lasting memory for that dish. The shrimp were perfectly cooked--tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement the creamy grits. What sets Relish apart is their attention to detail. The dish arrived promptly and was beautifully presented, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to quality. Don't get me started on the fried black eyed peas Whether you're a local or just passing through, Relish is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of southern comfort with a gourmet twist.

The food was amazing. I had just gotten released from the hospital and desperately needed lunch. My fiance had never heard of Relish, so I was excited to introduce him. 10/10 I do recommend.

The Kitchen Table was great! The staff, special shoutout to Austin, was so friendly and welcoming from the time we stepped in the door until we left. They have a fantastic selection of games for you to choose from and play while visiting (some are free, and some require that you pay one small $5 fee to enjoy). The Apple Butter Bourbon BBQ wings are a must try! I was tempted to try them based on the combination of flavors and I'm so glad I did. They're the perfect size, and the sauce they're tossed in is super savory, served with your choice of ranch or bleu cheese. The toast and cast iron skillet baked cheese appetizer was brought out fresh, dig in while it's hot! There is free ample parking, the vibe and dress is casual.
