Razzoo's Cajun Cafe

Razzoos makes you scream, "yahoo!" In a good way. This restaurant is located in between Stafford, 59, and the outskirts of Sugarland. The area best known as The Fountains, when driving on 59, its impossible to miss the beautiful fountains, and the decor outside that screams Cajun with the light-up Razzoo's sign. We actually came here late on New Years eve, as many restaurants were closed and we wanted to get some delicious New Orleans food before the year ended. Surprisingly, (or maybe not surprisingly), not many people were in the restaurant on the eve of a holiday at around 9pm. The staff and servers were all very friendly, and the decor inside the restaurant was absolutely spectacular. It definitely gives you that iconic Cajun Vibe. There is plenty of seating too. One of the first things I noticed was the prices seemed pretty descent, and much more affordable to the other Cajun restaurants that are big in Houston (cough...cough...think Pappadeaux right across the freeway). We ordered the Crispy Fried Gator Tail, which came with fries, and some delicious Shrimp Etouffee which was served with some garlic bread. Yahoo! It all hit the spot, and best of all, didn't break the bank. We would most definitely return.

First timer here and the companion has been here a few times. Like 15 times. We ordered two catfish and shrimp combo's. I'm not really a fan of butterfly shrimp and missed that in the description but it was cool. Fried well. Could've been seasoned a bit more. The catfish was fried well and very peppery. I would've like more seasoning but ok‍The dirty rice was mid according to the companion. My corn was over. You can see from the pic the way it pulled from the cob. My strawberry mango lemonade was great.Lashara was our waitress and was great and attentive the entire time. I appreciated great customer service. Definitely will be back.

I love Cajun food and this absolutely hit the spot! I got the etouffe, gumbo, and the blackened catfish. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive, and I would 10/10 come here again!

Our server was great, but everything else was not. The shrimp on my boyfriends plate had a very fishy taste (which is usually indicative of rotten or old shrimp; not fresh) I sent my whole plate back (I got the chicken tchoupitoulas) everything on it was completely flavorless. From the chicken, to the sauce over the chicken. No seasoning at all. The 2 stars are for the server but 0/10 for the food.

Oldie but goodie for sure. Their 2 for 20 meals are back ! We had a good drink, pasta, and wings! The children's meal comes with huge portions. We went on a week way during happy hour and the vibe was so chill. Overall good service and great food !

A great place for a large gathering.Shrimps, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans with pink lemonade. I've had the raspberry lemonade before, and it is excellent. Great Service with clean restrooms. Only 1 downfall...98% of your party has to be there before you are seated.

Not the best Cajun food I have had but it was a decent option for an after movie drink. Our server was spacey. He took half our orders and started to walk away when we asked him a question. We told him we weren't finished ordering when he turned but said he would be right back. It took him a long time to return and then was surprised when we told him weren't finished ordering when he walked away. I just wanted a snack so I had a bowl of gumbo and tried the boudin balls and shared them. I did not like the sauce that came with the boudin balls. It tasted like gravy. They should have a remoulade sauce. The only thing they had close to it was the sauce that comes with the hush puppies. The seafood gumbo was decent but lacked depth of flavor. I had to add hot sauce to elevate it a bit. Can't say that I was enticed to come back for the food. The drink was good tho. Maybe just a happy hour place if you're already in the area. Won't be taking any drives for this restaurant.

our visit monday was great. our server was lashara. she was friendly and personable & gave us some great food & drink recommendations. there was a little mishap while we were there but the manager quickly came to our table and rectified the issue. i am so sorry that i forgot the manager's name (i'm thinking kyle but please let me know because that might not be right). either way, the customer service was great, the food and drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing and great. thanks. we will be back. we had: appetizer - the trio appetizer, dessert - bread puddingi had: the fried shrimp with fries & crawfish etouffe, lime margarita she had: the fried shrimp with fries & crawfish etouffe, draft beer

Ordered 2 cups of Gumbo Chicken & Andouille.2 cups of Seafood Gumbo... A huge miss on flavor. You call yourselves a Cajun Restaurant. No way. The roux tasted like tomato base and the celery was cut so big you had to chew it. The onions were cut so big that when you took a bite into your Gumbo, they were slimy. When you are making Gumbo,The Cajun holy trinity recipe calls for one part white onion, one part green bell pepper, and one part celery. Never use tomato in a roux based Gumbo. Tomatoes are for Spaghetti. Whoever your Chef is, needs to be fired, because you are stealing people's money. We order one thing and get something totally different. I am so disappointed.
