I'm always on the hunt for a go-to Turkish spot in Philly; I saw Ramiz was newer and decided to give it a try. My friend and I were sat as soon as we came in. There's standard dine-in seating and a bar on the first floor as well as a hookah lounge on the second. The whole business is opened till 2AM daily which is a major perk, especially for weekdays.The menu has a decent variety of Turkish fare as well as some additional options that that I haven't seen at other spots in Philly. We started off with a Mix Appetizer Plate. We got the Iskender Kebab to compare it to the ones we've had elsewhere. The owner also talked us into the Ramiz Kofte as it's one of the restaurant's signature items. The Mix Appetizer was good, but it wasn't as good as what I've had at other spots. The entrees arrived in about 15 minutes. Both were presented very well. The Iskender was a little disappointing. The crispy bread beneath the meat and sauce is a key component of the dish. Instead of using the signature Turkish bread for this layer, the kitchen used a flat Greek pita bread. The sauce and meat components were pretty standard. Both my friend and I best enjoyed the Ramiz Kofte. Though it's referred to as a meatball, the meat is sharped into small patties. It was tender and very well-seasoned. I'd recommend this entree anyone dining at Ramiz.My experience here didn't quite meet my expectations. The food was a hit or miss type of situation. Service speed and quality were solid, and I also appreciate the late-night hours. I'm glad I had the chance to visit, but Ramiz won't be a go-to spot for me.

We didn't have proper dinner but came just for desserts. The server was so attentive and friendly. Both desserts - Kunefe and Kazandibi - were delicious and not too sweet. There were a few patrons sitting across us that had just finished their dinner and couldn't stop raving about the food so we are looking forward to coming back again.

Probably some of the best service I've received at a restaurant! The owner checked in a few times and showed us his joint business of a hookah lounge upstairs. We also learned about Ramiz's history and how it's a chain. This location is the first one established in the US. We received complimentary mix appetizer plate of dips and tea! Karişik Soğuk Meze / Mix Appetizer Plate- Hummus, baba ghanoush, labneh, and spicy vegetable dip THE SPICY VEGETABLE DIP IS INCREDIBLE! MUST TRY!Turkish meatballs - insanely moist and delicious! Would highly recommend! Chicken Adana wrap - could have used moremeat in it and the fries were lacking salt but that's easily fixable! Sütlaç -the oven baked pudding was goodThe table cloth on the tables kept moving which was a bit frustrating, not sure what other restaurants do to hold it down. Menu has so many options, something for everyone. Bringing your family or a big friend group is a good idea!

Absolutely loved this place. My mom and I were planning to go here and as we approached, were warmly greeted by Beyza outside who was trying to bring in more customers. She was incredibly sweet and gave excellent service. The food was delicious and authentic. We ordered the appetizer sampler that had labne, baba ghanoush, and hummus, then shared a large plate of mixed kabobs with pickled onions rice and garbanzo beans. Best thing I ate in Philly all week.

Seven of us ate here for the first time but not our last. Everything was fresh and delicious! We had the mixed appetizer plate which was complimentary but will definitely be ordered next time, calamari, and cheese rolls that were shared. We had greek salad, lamb shis kebab, Ramiz combination plate and chicken shis kebabs. EVERYTHING was so good! I can't forget to mention that the service was, also, excellent! We highly recommend Ramiz Turkish Grill!

This my first time here and I will definitely return. I came for lunch and had the lamb gyro lunch special. I don't know how to tell you just how well cooked and flavorful this meal was. DELICIOUS! Hummus: good. Tea: good. Service: spectacular. I can't wait to come back for lunch next week and work my way down the menu.

Wonderful food - falafel was moist with a savory sauce and the lentil soup warm and fragrant.

Didn't like anything about this place. Service was horrible. Food was not good at all and the ambiance wasn't great. Turkish food is the most unflavored food.

Stopped in to Ramiz Turkish Grill on a whim. What a great, pleasant surprise. Ordered the Karisik Kofte (Turkish Meatball combination platter). My wife and both loved the platter, with two of eachthree different types of meatballs. We also split a small peasant salad which we both thought was excellent. We were brought a cold appetizer plate on the house. The hummus, baba, labneh and spicy vegetable dip were all top notch. Will definitely be back and recommend that you give it a try.
