"No idea why I didn't give Akai Hana 5 stars! I guess the acoustic 90's rock channel must've been too fresh in my memory. I think they've improved the ambient music, finally. Plus, now I usually get take-out. As for the sushi? It's easily the best in all of central NC. Fresh, tasty, and solidly prepared."
"Exceptional experience. Truly exceptional The duck soup and tofu lo neon were our entrees of choice and there was a uniqueness and freshness that made them both delicious and memorable The supportive tram environment from. Seating to payment was so efficient and friendly. The manager was kind and visited each and every table. Loved that. As we were leaving, one of the sweetest young waitresses said I had a smile that lit up a room. That keept me smiling all the way home. Thank you all foe such a great dining experience."

I enjoy simply being able to grab as much sushi as I want off of the constantly revolving conveyer belt. The added items which can be ordered from the IPad are delicious as well! The food ordered comes out quick. Be sure to come hungry as you will surely be full when you leave!"
"Place was really close to where I was working and decided to stop here for lunch. Place is cute and clean, everyone was super friendly. I got the hot green tea. Some seaweed salad, and two rolls, the rocky shrimp and eel show. Both were delicious. Rice was perfectly cooked and shrimp tempura was crunchy and not oily. I would highly recommend if you're in the area!"
"Best in the USA ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION was epic.Dassai Junmso 23 Daiginjo sake was served in chilled glassware and was absolutely delicious !Shrimp tempura appetizer was crispy and hot.Miso Soup was complimentary Sunomono Mixed was fresh Seaweed and Cucumber that was complimented by 5 different seafood itemsBeef teriyaki dinner was tender steak and was easily two helpings to enjoy.Ebi - ShrimpIka - Squid Yako - OctopusUnagi - EelA5 Wagu - Japanese SteakUni - Sea UrchinQuail EggAll Nigeria was extremely fresh and rice Highliy recommend this skillful presentation and cheerfully served by Emily Q.You'd better try this restaurant because it is epic"
"We ordered several items via delivery. Very good food. I wish they would've labeled the rolls as I didn't really remember or know what was what but everything was really good. I enjoyed the shrimp rice and the crunchy roll. The cheese crab wonton's were good (they've always been a favorite) but the wonton was a different texture then usual. The family and I would definitely be return, but next time we would try eating in so we could pair it with a beverage and maybe even dessert (if they have it).Did I mention I absolutely loved the rice."
"Gen Ramen has easily become one of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh. Cute interior, hidden in a strip mall. I think we've tried all the ramens at this point. The grilled steak ramen (RIP), the brisket ramen, the creamy chicken ramen, and the vegan lemongrass ramen. My husband orders it without the noodles and no one has ever made him feel weird about it. Finally got around to trying their nigiri and one of their apps. And 5/5. Each nigiri piece came with its own complimentary glaze or topping - the salmon had a lemony glaze with sesame seeds, which was to die for. The fresh was incredibly fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked and room temperature. The TCR app was incredible. Spicy tuna with some avocado and toppings on the most perfect crispy rice. I could eat it every day. Honestly, I could eat all of it every day!Service is so nice. We really enjoyed sitting at the counter and chatting with the staff."
"Highlights if this restaurant: Big place with tons of seating areas. Waitress was niceSushi was just okSesame chicken was largeThis one of those basic, bring the whole family out for low grade sushi. It will meet the need for a sushi fix but don't expect fine quality."
"I was impressed We happened upon the restaurant on accident because the other restaurant we were going to was very very busy. So while riding around we found this lovely restaurant. The restaurant is tucked in a corner and you won't believe. Unfortunately the train was not working because of COVID. I did enjoy the spacing of the customers and the attention to detail. The sushi was delicious .The service was lovely The decor was calming and did I mention the sushi being great?!I can't wait to go back!"
"This place actually shocked me. The decor is a bit order but the service was fast, quick and the food was great. The sushi was fresh, hibachi was fresh this lowkey really is a hidden gem. I'm definitely going back today!"
"Came here for lunch with four others. They have both booths and tables. We had a table in the back room. A server quickly asked for our drinks and they were brought promptly. A spoon and fork as well as chopsticks were provided. There were many different dishes to choose from including hot dishes, cold dishes , fruit, desserts and sushi. There was fresh ginger and wasabi available and soy sauce on the tables. The hot dishes I got were a good temperature. The food was replaced often. Everything I had was ok, just not outstanding. I was surprised at how many seafood dishes there were, which I took advantage of most of them. There were people cleaning tables and sweeping often, so it appeared pretty clean. Hand sanitizer was available. I didn't try everything, but enjoyed most of what I had. One of our group comes here often and says there's more selection at dinner and on the weekends, but the price is more. I would consider returning. Wish I could give it a 3.5 ."
"I had a good experience at Yuri for lunch on the weekend. Yuri is tucked in a corner, between several other shops. The inside is very well decorated with multiple types of seating. Alongside the standard tables and bar seating, there were also more traditional mat seats that you could sit at. The menu was pretty expansive and had a lot of selection. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (speed, fire dragon, and seafood roll). All 3 rolls had very generous portion sizes and fresh cuts of fish. The sushi rolls here are slightly larger and contain more fish than your average sushi spot. Overall great sushi spot, would recommend."

Came here on a weekday night. Service was good. Gave us a friendly reminder when they wanted to close the kitchen. Sushi is a bit over priced. Sushi was pretty typical /standard.

Food was ok but it is not only overpriced but the check is always inflated as you can see on the picture of my receipt Ordered 2 bottles of wine and was charged 8 dollars corkage fee for each and then the price per bottle at 28 dollars each so the actual price per bottle is actually 36 I may as well take my own if a place is going to charge me corkage for their own wine!Ordered one appetizer which seemed reasonably priced at 14.95 but was charged 11.90 in addition to the 14.95 for two wontons that came on the trayPrices of all entres get jacked up depending on which protein you order, normally in any other restaurant prices only vary when you order shrimp. So all in all prices are higher in disguise. If food is decent you shouldn't need to hide charges, just show the real price and I will make up my mind. Have never seen your deceiving system anywhere else. Appetizer was good value for the amount of food for 14.95 but with the separate charge for two wontons became overpriced. Will most likely never go back

Dine in | Lunch | $10-20This is a spot I can't wait to visit for the second time, wish there was a location in Greensboro. Even just the concept of all you can eat sushi from a conveyer belt. I loved it! Many sauces to choose from, unlimited soup and fountain drinks. My favorite part was the display above your table where you can order sides and dishes such as steak hibachi, wings, crab rangoon (YES), and much more all included. The sushi was delicious, l'm not too picky. The staff were very friendly and thankful for us choosing to dine here. Will be visiting again when I am in town!Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5Recommended dishes: Hibachi Chicken, Miso Soup, Hibachi Steak, Crab Rangoon, Tempura

TLDR: Good option for ramen and sushi in Wake Forest. Great customer service and flavorful dishes. A bit pricy for lunch, however, the portions are large. Recommended entrees: chicken katsu ramen ($17), eel show ($14), chicken katsu bowl ($17), and yakisoba with tofu ($16)Updating my review to discuss dining in. Even dining after the lunch rush, the dining area quickly filled with customers. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She was also the only waitress covering the entire dining room. Somehow she still remained calm and smiling. I wish I caught her name, she worked midday on 9/1. Even with covering all the tables she regularly checked in on us, refilled water, removed empty plates, and packed my leftovers to go. We each enjoyed our meal, especially the tempura appetizer, chicken katsu, ramen, and eel show. The tempura shrimp and vegetables were crisp and delicious, just a little too greasy. The chicken katsu is cooked perfectly. The ramen is very rich (fatty) and flavorful. Even the miso broth had a rich pork base. I appreciate how they offer a side of ramen (pricy at $10) so that you can enjoy both ramen and sushi. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this restaurant to others!

TLDR: Excellent option for a date or fancy occasion. Waraji is a little pricy, but worth it for the high quality, delicious food. Highly recommend the Una-Ja, Katsudon, and Matcha IPA (who knew matcha IPA would taste so good??) We also enjoyed some chilled nigori and hot sake (50% off on Wednesdays!) We parked near the front and were greeted at the hostess stand. We did not have a reservation, but were seated quickly since we dined late. The hostess gave us a choice to dine in the room to the left (lively, louder, upbeat atmosphere) or the quieter, peaceful atmosphere on the right. We chose the room to the right. I believe our waiter's name was Joseph. Joseph was enthusiastic, helpful, and attentive. A few of us ordered entrees, while the rest shared several small plates. We enjoyed all of the items ordered. I particularly liked the Una-Ja. Overall, we had a great experience and recommend this restaurant to others!

I really don't know why this place doesn't have better ratings. The food here is super good! The sushi is delicious and super affordable I got a shrimp tempura roll and a Boston roll. I also ordered a hibachi steak and shrimp plate and that was also very good. The rice is cooked to perfection. We came in here because it was one of they very few places that was open after the snowfall and it was a great choice. The staff is also very nice. Please stop in and try their sushi rolls they have discounts between certain hours as well, you will not regret it!

So I really enjoyed this place. I only came for drink but ended up getting some appetizers as well.Let me first say that they are pretty clean there So that stood out right out the gate. They're decorations are awesome. They have a lot of anime decorations in the restaurant and I can appreciate that. It was super dope!Choya umeshu is sweet plum - This was a sweeter sake if you're into that. It has a very upbeat profile. I probably could not drink a bottle of it, but eating it with some salty food probably set it off.Sayuri nigori - This had more of the sake vibe that you would expect, not any of the sweet fillers. I thought it was good, it came with a bottle so you get plenty of it.Shrimp tempura - I thought that the portions were a little bit small but they were mighty though. I enjoyed the flavor of them. They were fried really well.Soft shell crab tempura - They had a really good texture to them, and they tasted really good. It would not be a go-to thing for me, but I was not upset at all that I got it!If I was in the area I would definitely come back. They actually have some good looking ramen there that I want to try, I didn't do ramen because I had already eaten though unfortunately. But, it is on my list!

Ate here today as a pre birthday weekend while visiting family. We tried the scallop roll and salmon roll under the buy one get one menu. We also tried the Crazy Donkey and the Tom Yum Roll. I have to say the Crazy Donkey was by far my favorite. The flavors were so good. Mandy was our server, she was busy during the time we were there but she did a great job making sure we were okay during our lunch.
Visit Restaurant Page"Yum! I'm a sucker for hibachi. Many places cook vegetables and meat with too much oil or have very lame vegetables, but this wasn't the case at YoHo. I ordered a combo meal with shrimp and chicken, and both were seasoned perfectly! I also loved the range of vegetables--peppers, onions, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. The white rice was soft and perfectly cooked as well. It looks like YoHo also has a number of sushi burrito deals (buy one get one free and 50% off before 5pm...) as of January 2021."
"This is a favorite lunch place for meeting up with friends and relatives as the atmosphere is quiet so you can actually carry on a conversation and hear it. It's in the Trader Joe's shopping center on Wake Forest Road near the beltline. Plenty of parking, even though it's a busy strip mall. They do take reservations, but usually there's no problem getting in (at least for lunch, can't attest for dinner).Love the Thai lunch specials. Not huge quantities, but very tasty and nicely prepared. Kee Mao and Basil Chicken are favorites. Do know if you order shrimp on a lunch meal, it will be just three. Great prices for the quality. They also have Japanese items on the menu including some BOGO rolls. I personally stick with Thai here, but have been with others who were happy with their Japanese selections.TIP: Look on line for their daily specials for both lunch and dinner. They also usually participate in Restaurant Week when it comes up."
"Came for the buy one get one free lunch sushi deal. Sushi was excellent, very fresh tasting. Facilities were clean. The lunch time speed of service was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Lunch was $23 with gratuity. Overall good experience."
"First time here and it was a stellar experience. Do know that this is not just a Thai restaurant. They have a ton of sushi as well. That being said, we both tried their Thai dishes. Pad Thai for Husband and Drunken Noodles for me.I don't usually do alcohol with Thai restaurants because the offerings don't necessarily go with the dishes imho, but let me tell you...the Lemon Lotus drink here (basically a lemon drop), is fantastic and goes very well with Drunken Noodles that are just slightly spicy.Service was terrific. Food terrific. Husband loved his pad thai and very much loved his coconut cake as well. Looks like they do mostly a take-out business but do know there is plenty of inside seating. It's way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Note: location is right next to Shucker's in Wake Forest."
"This spot satisfied my hibachi craving. My husband and I both had a glass of lychee sake and I also got a beer. We started off with the crab wontons for an appetizer and both ordered the chicken hibachi for our meals. You get a soup (we did the kobe) and a salad (ginger or ranch dressing) with the hibachi. The food and service were both good, I can't wait to come back."
"We enjoyed the food, drink, and service at Iza Whiskey & Eats in downtown Carrboro. This is a solid sushi/Asian-fusion-type restaurant and bar, especially for the area. If Iza was located in a bigger city, I'd give it four stars, but for Carrboro-Chapel Hill, this place is great (giving a generous five). Having dined out a lot in Carrboro and Chapel Hill over the past three years, we came into Iza with tempered expectations. I'm happy to report that we did not leave disappointed. I like this place and recommend it.Iza opened in November 2020 in the old One Fish Two Fish Poke Joint space (https://bit.ly/40ydINW) in the East Main Square shopping center. Free surface parking is available in the shopping center's lot. That's where we parked, but be sure to read the signs about restrictions. Also, plenty of parking is available in the nearby deck (you can't miss it), which belongs to the Town of Carrboro.I really like the restaurant and bar space here. It's beautiful, as are the drinks and dishes. This place exudes a trendier, upscale ambiance, but still keeps things casual and unpretentious. And it's not all just for show. The chefs and bartenders back up the look with well-executed food and drink, and excellent customer service. Interior features include a prominent kabuki mural (I love it), Asian lanterns and pendant lights, well-stocked shelves of whiskey, and a large illuminated Buddha head. Outside, there's a fairly spacious, uncovered, string-lit patio.During our visit, the menu offered a nice variety of both small and large plates. You can dine here tapas-style or everyone can get their own main dish. The sushi menu consisted mainly of rolls ($9-17 each). There was a Sashimi Platter ($36.90), but to our surprise, no nigiri other than the toro special that our server told us about.Conversely, with "Whiskey" in the business name, the bar's extensive drink menu did not come as a surprise. The drink menu we received contained a list of 111 whiskeys. There were whiskey flights ($25-50), sake, cocktails, wine, beer, and more.Below is what our table of four ordered. I think I missed a drink or two. We doubled up on some of the apps due to portion sizes. This should give you a good idea of what Iza has to offer.Appetizers* Ishiyaki BBQ with 3 oz A5 Wagyu Steak ($60) - cook it yourself on a hot stone, served with Himalayan salt and chimichurri sauce* Salmon Tiradito x2 ($13.90 each, x2) - sashimi-style salmon plated with onion truffle sauce, chive oil, garnished with micro greens* Okinawa Scallops x2 ($15.90 each, x2) - in each, two seared U10 scallops served with uni butter saffron, shiso pesto, and micro greens* Tuna Tartare & Chips ($14.90) - spicy tuna tartare topped with avocado, mango, citrus dressing, spicy mayo, and eel sauce* Tamarind Cauliflower ($10.90) - lightly-fried cauliflower glazed with a sweet, tangy tamarind sauceEntrees/Sushi* Pork Tenderloin Tonkatsu ($19.90) - pork lightly breaded with Japanese panko breadcrumbs and served with steamed white rice, cabbage, and tonkatsu sauce.* Korean-Style Sashimi Poke Bowl ($15.90) - assorted sashimi mixed with Korean "tanguiri" sauce, served atop sushi rice, garnished with micro greens, scallions, cucumbers, avocado, and rice seasoning* Iza Crunch Raw Specialty Roll ($14) - cucumber, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and shiso inside, topped with spicy mayo and tempura crunch on the outsideSpecials (not on menu)* Toro Nigiri x2 (each set of 2 pieces for $16, x2) - fatty bluefin tuna bellyCocktails, Mocktails, and Whiskey* Japanese Sour cocktail ($14) - Suntory Japanese whiskey, citrus* Feeling Peachy mocktail ($4) - fresh lemon juice, peach syrup, club soda* Whiskey #94. Suntory Toko Japanese Whiskey ($14) - requested neatIn general, everything was outstanding. Fantastic quality all around. In order, my favorites were the Toro Nigiri, Okinawa Scallops, Tuna Tartare & Chips, and Salmon Tiradito. All of the seafood was really fresh and delicious. The chips that came with the Tuna Tartare were creative - they were nori (seaweed) tempura chips. The Scallops and sauce were succulent. If you love nigiri, I highly recommend Iza's Toro. It was legit. The Pork Tenderloin Tonkatsu was appetizing, served bone-in. I thought that was unique because I'm not sure I've seen tonkatsu served bone-in before. Both the Poke Bowl and the Iza Crunch Roll were solid. I couldn't figure out what the Korean "tanguiri" sauce was, but the poke came with tuna and salmon and they were marinated well. The one dish I have to knock, though, is the Ishiyaki BBQ with A5 Wagyu. Simply put, I didn't think it was worth the money. I love Wagyu, but this particular Wagyu was too fatty. I think I would've been happier with the much less expensive Ribeye option ($18.90).The drinks were terrific. As mentioned above, service was excellent, from our hostess Shaye to our server Aurora. Everyone was friendly, warm, and polite. They seem to have a wonderful team here."
"My experience here was nothing less than stellar. I stopped for lunch today while I was in the Cary area. I found parking behind the building and walked in to the beautifully decorated restaurant. The hostess was very friendly and I had the option of dining in ladle or out. I chose inside so I can see the restaurant. The menu hit everything that I would ever want to order. Raw oysters- sushi and and small plates. I chose the scallop crudo and tina tartare. The crudo was unique with an orange flavor which I found delightful. The tartare had such a delicious mark are and I loved the crisps that were served with it. My server was excellent and I would dine here frequently if I lived in the area. I thought the pricing was rather reasonable for an upscale restaurant. Highly recommend."
"I was in the mood for sushi as Saturday's have become sushi day for me as of late so I wanted to try a new place. Umami is literally 10 mins away and I always wanted to try them. After leaving target and checking online and seeing that they were supposedly closed it was a nice surprise that they were open (opens @12 on Saturdays). They are offering dine in services so I decided to stay and dine in there. I guess since it had just opened for the day or people don't know they offer dine in again, there were little to no one in the place which was completely fine with me. The unique part about ordering at Umami is as soon as you walk in there is a screen where you order from. It's pretty easy and the menu is as big as day right next to it. You select from the categories of food they offer and you pay and the ticket is sent over to the cooks so it's all contactless in that aspect. I ordered the Tempura Calamari ($8.95), I picked 2 (Jalamachi & Braza) rolls for $15 (Jalamachi is a spicy roll with salmon, spicy mayo, crunch, topped with yellowtail, avocado, fresh jalapeños, shichimi, kaiwari & ponzu dipping sauce; Braza is a spicy tuna roll with shrimp tempura wrapped with tuna tatami, jalapeños and comes with teriyaki and umami sauce) and I also ordered a steak and shrimp Teppan Bowl which also comes with mixed veggies and noodles and rice. Given that there weren't many people here at the moment it didn't take long for my entire meal to be prepared and brought to me (about 7-10 mins). Now I've been to a few sushi/ Japanese restaurants in Raleigh and Wake Forest and I feel like Umami might have the best Calamari hands down. It was crunchy and golden and covered in a sauce (that I don't recall unfortunately) and they were a nice size which put the icing on the cake. As for the sushi, I had no complaints. Everything taste fresh. The Braza was my favorite between the two. The shrimp only came on one roll so I was bummed about that but the rolls still were good without them. The umami sauce that came with the rolls is extremely good as well. The combination of dipping the rolls in the umami sauce and teriyaki sauce makes the rolls sensational. Last but not least, the steak and shrimp teppan bowl was so good. The steak and shrimp were both seasoned and hot and once stirred in with the vegetables and rice and noddles it makes a great bowl. It was my first time having a bowl with both rice and noddles and I was very satisfied. Overall my experience at Umami was amazing and I definitely see myself coming again to try other rolls and bowls. I recommend this place to any sushi and Japanese food lover."
"Best value regular prices with great specials. Diverse menu and convenient location when meeting between Raleigh and Cary or before/after events at NC State or the arena."
"The low-down: The food is always good, it's great entertainment, and time passes by quickly because there is always something in front of you while you wait for the main course. Fun fact: hibachi-style" is often used in the US to refer to what is really teppanyaki cooking. Hibachi grills are small, portable barbecue grills that are made from cast iron. These grills have an open-grate and typically use charcoal versus Teppanyakigrilling is done using an iron griddle with a flat, solid surface and used to prepare food in front of guests. Teppanyaki grills usually use propane as a heat source for cooking. For my sons 13th b day he chose Kanki (as he does most years) as his birthday dinner. Since I've been coming to the Raleigh location over the past several years, I really felt like it has lost some of its appeal. I can't quite point my finger in what it is, but the restaurant just seems run-down and desolate. Walking inside it was crowded for 5 pm on a Thursday night, since we did not make a reservation we had to wait a few minutes before we were seated (party of 6). Even though they say no reservations necessary, I recommend them. Once seated we had to wait an additional 15 min to see if they could fill the two empty chairs at our table w patrons before getting started with the cooking. It's always entertaining to see the culinary cooking and cutting skills of the chefs while they grill chicken, pork, beef and seafood, along side rice and veggies while also putting on a little show of fun antics. The amount of food is always more than adequate. service was adequate. Overall it was a nice experience, as usual, and made even nicer by my family paying for my and my son's meal since our birthdays are so close together!"
"I had another excellent meal here. Lastnight we had a party of 9 and sat outside. Our server, Rylee was great! I am just so blown away at how reasonable these prices are. It's quality, a lot of food and so cheap! Service is great and the place is adorbs. We had the brussel sprouts app and it was really good. Also had the crab Rangoon dip which tastes just like you think it should. I had the tuna-avotini. It wasn't the best quality tuna but for the price it was great. I prefer the poke over this dish. Anyone lined their meals and they did a great birthday celebration!"
"Delicious fresh sushi in a beautiful restaurant with attentive and sweet staff. Ive been here before many times and this restaurant does not disappoint. The sushi was so fresh, just the right size pieces. The ratio to fish to rice was correct and it was just delicious. The side salad is plentiful with delicious dressing and a great mix of greens. I will certainly return."
"This is amazing, so much variety, so clean, I can't wait to bring my vegetarian partner here, something for everyone!Check out the videos...salt and pepper shrimp was perfect. Nice service staff... eat here you won't be sorry!"
"We had a great table by the wall with a woman on the mural. It gave us a good view of entire restaurant and sushi bar. Our waitress was super sweet and efficient. The miso soup was delicious. The salad was just ok. I had the ginger dressing and it tasted watered down. Next time I will try the wasabi salad dressing. The cucumbers were good, I had one tiny tomato, the greens were fresh but a bit tasteless. For my lunch special i had sashimi and I added a south beach roll. The sashimi was so fresh and the pieces tasted amazing. I also really liked the tuna roll. The south beach roll was probably my second favorite roll in my life. And I have been eating sushi for 40 years. The combination of the spicy, crunchy and fresh ingredients was just wonderful. I will certainly return. Love this gas station sushi."
"I ate here for lunch and had the Samurai. The chef was really entertaining and the portion sizes were very generous. The ribeye was incredibly tender and the grilled shrimp cooked perfectly. I also had chicken, which was just as tasty, but by the time I got around to the chicken, I was going into a food coma! The restaurant was also very clean and the staff was welcoming and friendly. I plan on going back to have another meal and recommend Kabuki if you want a special, entertaining dining experience."
"This is easily one of the best Chinese places in Goldsboro. It can be a a little hit or miss sometimes but overall I am consistently happy with the food and prices here"
""Sushi & hibachi, and all-you-can-eat option, near Ninth Street in Durham"Right next to the Whole Foods on Broad Street in Durham, and super close to Duke University's east campus, is this new restaurant, just opened a few days ago. It sits in the spot where Vine Sushi used to be, so the theme is maintained. However, unlike Vine, this offers you sushi, various hibachi entrees, and all-you-can-eat options. We arrived on a Friday evening at just before 6pm, and the place was very empty. That said, they did JUST open maybe 5 days ago, so word hasn't gotten out yet. They do have an a la carte menu, but we all opted for the all-you-can-eat options. Their menu says that's $15 for lunch (11-3pm) and $24 for dinner. There is a small catch (often true at other AYCE places)-- if you can't finish your food, you have to pay for what's left on your plate, but it's not much-- maybe 50 cents per piece (and you can then take it home). I ordered only the crabmeat salad, a black pepper tuna roll, and a Mt. Fuji roll. My dining mates ordered a lot more, including the gyoza. Note: you can keep ordering, so my advice is not to order too much at once... you'll have many more opportunities to get more if still hungry.Service was VERY friendly and attentive. We felt really welcomed. We got our first food quickly. The crab salad was very tasty. I LOVED the black pepper tuna roll, and the Mt Fuji roll was fine (the tuna pieces were better than the salmon ones). Everything tasted fresh. All of us noted that the items labeled as spicy on the menu were not particularly so (unless you have a very sensitive palate). My dining mates really liked their gyoza a lot too as well as the hibachi steak & chicken (note, that was a rather small serving).I was smart not to order too much-- the rolls are LONG. I couldn't even quite finish my two rolls, but my son finished off the last few bites. My wife had to buy some of hers off as leftovers, but they were very generous and undercharged-- it was 8 pieces and they only charged $6.Was it the best sushi I ever had? It was good, but not the best. That said, you wouldn't expect "best" at an AYCE place. I think it was better than conveyer belt sushi like Rockin' Rolls (which is fine). And it's a lot closer to where we live than Mr. Tokyo in Chapel Hill.Overall, I'd come back. It felt "appropriately priced" for what we got, and the service was excellent. If I wanted fancy sushi, this may not be my choice, but good place to go if you're hungry and want a lot of sushi and hibachi. Again, don't over-order-- go slow, and enjoy the experience."
"I enjoy Kobe and love hibachi. I think my only disappointment was the soda machine wasn't working. The food was good and the server was attentive."
"Alie Hibachi & Sushi is a new spot that has opened up in Morrisville. My mom and I stopped in for lunch and had a good experience. It was the hibachi chicken lunch special for me, the hibachi filet mignon lunch special for her and the spring rolls to split. I do not eat sushi but it is also an option. The service was great, the portions were filling and the food was delicious. I can't wait to return for lunch again soon."
"It's been wayyyy too long since we've been to this gem in downtown Raleigh. Popped in on Saturday night without reservations, but had no problem getting our choice of bar seats or a high top in that area. We chose the bar and settled in for great service and fantastic food.I had a refreshing Battle Royale. This beer/whiskey drink went well with our food. Two of us shared a California Roll with Blue Crab along with one of their specialty rolls, the Umi Kazan. We loved them both and followed them up with a shared order of Pork Dumplings. Excellent dumplings. Even the dipping sauce was on another level.Loved our bartender as well. And for the quality, prices were very reasonable!"
"We visited the restaurant for the first time and had a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are all very nice. We did the grill side and the chef did a great job. The food was great and they kept our glasses full the entire time. We will be back for sure!"
"We arrived on a busy Friday night and weee seated promptly. Waitress was super nice and efficient. We had our drinks and salads and sushi came in just the right amount of wait time. Sushi was fresh, delicious, just the right sized pieces, perfect ratio of rice to fish. It was outstanding. We will certainly keep returning to this local gem."
"Surprisingly good food and price we had 2 crab legs And some sushi . FYI not an all you can eat sushi spot. The service was good nice ladies .The ambiance was moderate not too noisy . The only thing is the benches are all cut up and it was hurting my skin so sit on the tables if you come here and avoid the booth . Our bill was about $130 with tip ."
