"Great place to watch the game and to play some games yourself! They have a whole second floor with lots of bar games like darts, pool, etc. We haven't tried the food yet, so we will be back to try the food. Just trying out all the local bars as we are new to the area."
"Met a couple friends here on a Thursday night. Place was not very busy at about 6PM. Staff helped us rearrange some tables and then patiently took our orders. There are plenty of drink options including some great local-ish craft beers, on tap and in cans/bottles. Cocktails are also available. The food that others ordered looked good. A chicken wrap got a positive review from my niece. My wings made me sick. This place bills itself as having the best wings in the triangle. I have to disagree, after spending an evening on the toilet. It could have been one or two that were underdone, but if you decide to try them, look closely as you eat them. And honestly, they weren't the best wings I've ever had. With so many options in the area, I don't think I'd ever return."

"My wife and I, along with another couple, stopped here last night to have a drink. There were only three other people because it was a bit late. The service was great and we enjoyed our drinks. My Guinness was poured perfectly. The ladies behind the bar were friendly, and the service was great. We were not here long but we would definitely come back."
"I read that they had great wings here. We finally went this last weekend and I am pleased! We got a burger, fries, and the garlic wings. I wish they were saucier, but I can't wait to try their other styles. The oil they fry them was SO clean! You can tell by the taste! The fries are amazing and we even liked the queso. I did not expect to! They are not breaded, thank goodness and I really was a fun lively atmosphere. This location even had some fun outdoor space and lawn games!!"
"Good food, great music, solid bar atmosphere. Highly recommend the Dagwood Sandwich, absolutely killer. Wings were also excellent and fries were hot and crispy. Service was fast and friendly. Not exactly the place to bring your kids on a Friday night, but if you enjoy a cold one and good bar food you'll be well taken care of here."
"If you are in a pinch and in search of some late night food, then this is your top option. Yes, there's a pizza spot and a southern takeout down the street, but MAW has a broader selection. 100% college bar after 10pm for sure, but fairly quiet for most of the day. Food is average but filling. Good portions on the nachos, MAW burger and BAC burger. Good prices on beers and they're usually running a promo on some other items. Plenty of seating, street parking and a few arcade games to keep you entertained during your stay. For the late night..."
"Took the family here for lunch last weekend and had a really great experience. One important thing to note upfront is that if you are not comfortable ordering food from your phone, you may want to go with someone who is... that's how they roll here, and it's much more efficient than traditional wait service. So you go in and go to the front desk and give them your credit card, they give anyone plans to imbibe a bracelet with a scanner that you use at the taps to pour your own beer. Love this concept, makes it a lot easier to get a beer when you want it and pour as much as you want. Of course, you pay by the ounce, so keep that in mind! The TV set up is phenomenal, huge screens abound, a great place to watch a game. They have a great outdoor patio area. Great spaces indoors with tables, high tops, a bar, and a lounge area where you can play any of the many boardgames they have. The food was good. I had wings which were fine, albeit not memorable. We also got the pretzels with the beer cheese. The menu has your standard bar food from what I I can tell. They used disposable plates and utensils, which I do not like and hope they were only doing that because they are still just getting off the ground. If you're going to this place, it's probably not as much for the food as for the atmosphere.Bottom line, this is a great addition to the community and it's about damn time they have a legit sports bar around this area to watch games at!"
"I found it strange that one of the Pickled Onion locations was so close to The Pickled Pub. We decided to stop in here to watch a game and to grab food and beers. It was a round of beers and the fried pickles and philly cheese steak egg rolls to start for our party. For our entrees it was the mile high man burger with fries for my husband and 9 boneless wings in the bourbon BBQ sauce for me. Our friend ordered the wings in the buffalo hot sauce but the sauce was lacking. I really wanted carrot sticks with the wings but we only got celery. The table favorite was the egg rolls, the rest of the food was just okay."
"I've been to The Pickled Onion twice now and I'm a fan. I'm pretty picky about pub fare but there are a few things why I rated them at 5 stars instead of 4 (it was a toss up but I'll explain). The Pickled Onion can get very busy so it's best to come when the crowd has left, because that's when you get top notch service. You seat yourself and at one of the booths or tall tables. It's very open and feels more like a sports bar than a pub. Tables are always clean and the menus are wiped between customers. The menu is small but mighty. My go-to are the Blue Chips to start. I've ordered the Pork Belly Smack which was phenomenal and this past visit, I ordered the Shrimp Platter and exchanged the fries for mashed potatoes and gravy. And let me say, those mashed potatoes were real! Some places use the powdered stuff but this was the real deal. Besides the Blue Chips being a favorite of mine, I have to say that The Pickled Onion has THE BEST coleslaw I have ever had!! This last visit, our waitress did something that immediately made this original 4 star review into a 5 (and if you read my reviews, you know what she did...). She gave me another soda cup before I finished my first! Right there, that earns 5 stars! Having excellent customer service, delicious Blue Chips, AND the best coleslaw? It's a no brainer that I'll be back!"
"Super comfortable chill atmosphere. Love the location Awesome band tonight. Great sound. Nice stage. Hope for more music soon."
"Stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Shrimp and crab dip was beach quality. Cool atmosphere, lots to do, pool, darts, games and tons in TV's. Play great tunes as well. Definitely will be back. Nice place to come and just sit at the bar for a couple of beers. Outside is nice, would definitely like to come on a night they have live music."

This used to be the Music Loft for years. I was happy to see the building being used again and finally made it by. The place is huge and really cleaned up nice!! We were in the mood to play pool and have some lunch so this fit the bill.We got there around noon or so on a Saturday and there was just a few peeps in the place. That was fine, we weren't looking for a crowd, just a few games of pool and some eats.We were greeted by a pleasant waitress, asked how much the pool is ($1.00 a game for the small tables and $10.00 an hour for the large ones) and headed over to check them out. We'd been to another place in the neighborhood the night before that we frequent somewhat regularly that only has one table that's a bit worn. We were thrilled to see all the tables here in great shape! The menu is pretty extensive and they have some regular lunch specials of several varieties of sliders. We got the cheeseburger sliders and the pulled chicken sliders. Both were quite good and came with a nice portion of fries. We also started with some homemade chips that were light, crispy and super thin - very good!!Like I said the pool tables looked to be in great shape - and they were! The bumpers had a lot of action compared to ones we'd played on the night before elsewhere that in comparison were about DOA!We were there over two hours and some more people filtered in, but not a lot. We wondered why cos it's really a nice place!! Very clean, in fact, amazingly clean!! We'll definitely be back and hope that this place will be around for quite some time!

You can never go wrong with Woody's. If you've ever been to the one in downtown Raleigh you already know this. Great food, great drinks, and a lively atmosphere. It's also the perfect spot to go to after a night out. They always have drink specials too.One thing I just learned about was the happy hour on weekdays from 4-6! This is amazing because their appetizer list is huge and there's all sorts of things you can get from quesadillas and nachos to egg rolls and sliders. Since it was happy hour we got the cheesesteak nachos, buffalo chicken rangoon, cheeseburger sliders, and steak quesadilla. All for half off and all hot and delicious with generous portions. The best thing at woodys to my friends and I is the philly cheesesteak nachos. If you don't get anything , GET THIS. You'll see why. Also, if you're vegan they have a beyond meat option and it's amazing in their patty melts.

Came here for lunch today with my wife and we were both pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away. It was fairly loud inside so we took a seat outside. The food and drinks both arrived soon after we ordered. We started with their chorizo dip with pita chips, which really hit the spot. I was a big fan of their Tavern Pasta with shrimp and an even bigger fan of their Painkiller cocktail. Honestly there were at least a dozen things on the menu that I'd be interested in trying. Everything we tried was extremely salty so maybe be careful if you have sodium issues, but it sure tasted great.

3.9 overall Best part is location and seating options. Inside and outside has plenty of seating and a cool vibe. This feels like it could be anyones local hangout. I really liked the food. The salad was fresh, good amount of toppings, the ranch tasted made in-house. I also liked the onion ring, the batter was not thick. Service was Very good until it wasn't ... I assume her shift ended because someone else eventually showed up, we waited too long for the check.

Love this place! Food is amazing (hot Yaki, extra crispy), best bar staff in town and always have great entertainment. Great crowd and a fun place to catch a game. Go check them out and they will always remember your drink order. It's like Cheers, but better

Great beer selection, great service concept, technology a work in progress. We stopped at H&B on a Thursday after work. The interior space is light and airy, and we can't wait for warmer weather when they can open up the large doors. There are huge TV screens everywhere showing all manner of sports, but the sound is muted completely so if you're not into it, you can easily ignore. The beverage selection is fantastic--81 taps of beer, wine, cider, and hard seltzer. The service concept is innovative and requires a little explaining. When you "check in" they start a tab and give you a little fob. You walk to the taps and start "shopping" for a beverage of your liking; above each tap there's a description. When you make a selection, you grab a glass, tap your fob on the screen, and then start pouring. The screen shows the volume as you pour, including the charge. You can stop pouring whenever you want. Then you pay when you're ready to leave. The beverage system works well: you can sample a small amount of several beverages and still be fit to drive home. And no matter your beverage preference you'll find something to like. The food service technology is a, um, work in progress. You scan a QR code on the table and review the menu on your phone, adding items to the cart. Then, in theory, you check out and your food appears in a few minutes. We had to try three times, and then get help from the check-in desk. (We work in technology so are pretty confident it wasn't operator error.) The food itself is just fine, but the beverages are clearly the star of the show. We're glad H&B finally opened and we'll definitely be back. I think the food tech will eventually be sorted out.

I started with the mimosa flight which came with 3 glasses of one juice each:orange, cranberry and lavender . They were the bomb, the lavender one was my favorite. I got the chicken and waffle sandwich and chose breakfast potatoes as my side. The sandwich was good but it can get messy especially if you put syrup on it, end up using my fork towards the end. Overall good brunch for a Saturday and definitely will be back soon."
"TLDR: Good flavorful food, reasonable prices, easy online ordering, mostly accurate orders. Limited veggies and excess oil in the pasta. Street parking available out front.I'm surprised I haven't been here before having dined at the Durham location in the past. I parked nearby for a different purpose and decided to order takeout for dinner. The online ordering is quick and easy. We chose Buffalo chicken eggs rolls ($10), squash and shrimp pasta ($15), cheesesteak ($12.50), and tater tots ($4). The cheesesteak was supposed to come with cheddar mac, but fries were provided instead. We did not care too much. Highlights of the meal were the egg rolls and tater tots. They were cooked well and had just the right amount of flavor. The pasta was okay once I cooked the shrimp more and removed all the excess oil. Some of the oil spilled during transport and it still had too much. Plus for having "butternut squash" in the name of the dish, I expected more of it. Nonetheless, we were satisfied with the meal and would eat here again."
"Great bar for billiards, darts, and a good game. They have TVs everywhere most people that come bring their own pool cue but they also have some behind the bar you can use. I ordered food but it wasn't that great, I guess it's traditional bar food. Which traditional bar food isn't always the best. The prices to play pool are reasonable, not ridiculous. The drink selection is well too they have a full bar including beers on tap, more local beers."
"Finally! Someone took over the former Glory Days and gives us a restaurant that provides a winning product and service that will survive. Ambience: not much was done during the remodel, but it's clean, plenty TV's, and outdoor seating is available. Service: very friendly, attentive (but still learning the menu) and even a manager that checked in us. Unheard of at Glory Days. Food: very much resembles the food Abbey Road that owns Dugout. Burger was great, same enormous mozzarella sticks, plus new items like pizza, and new sandwiches. Overall: menu can be sort of daunting because every item is named after a sports player and it can take awhile to find exactly what you're looking for. They are still working to get this a well oiled machine, but easily a great addition to the neighborhood and knocks Glory Days out of the water. Go and enjoy!"
"Great place to watch the game with great friendly staff! They have a great peek-a-boo bar so you feel separated from the rest of the bar/restaurant which is really cool. Good food menu and great drinks."
"In town for business and found this neighborhood bar to watch football. The staff was super friendly and took great care of all the customers. The place was packed and everyone was enjoying the afternoon. Huge selection of bar food and some great drink specials. I will definitely be back for more."
"Great place to grab a quick bite before a show at the Tanger center....just a few blocks down on Elm. Great fun atmosphere, great varied menu of tacos and burgers. Lots of fun drinks, especially seasonal flavors. They have a lot of margaritas on then menu, but I went with the red blend wine and my friend had a beer. Decided to go with tacos as it was also a Tuesday! I chose the Bollywood ! A nice riff on Indian flavors . Tandoori style chicken, mint chutney, cilantro lime rice, tamarind, cilantro, pickled onions and puffed rice. Also comes with a side , I chose the cilantro lime rice not realizing there was some in my tacos! Honestly i didn't detect any cilantro lime in the rice, it actually had a red tint to it, no idea what was going on with that and was kinda over cooked . The tacos on the other hand were amazing! Great little spice pockets and I could make out every ingredient in it as I ate it. You chose flour or corn tortillas, mine came with two corn on each tacos (you get 2). My friend had the fixie tacos with sweet potato fries. Hers had braised beef, grilled pineapple, sweet spicy chilli sauce, coconut aioli , cilantro and scallions. Nice cross of sweet and spicy. She loved them and yes those fries are amazing! I should have gotten those! Service was ok, little slow, but we also had a trainee, so she was fine! We had plenty of time to get to our show. Nice casual eatery, I loved the variations on the tacos and the same on the burger menu, definitely hard to pick!"
"Best Hamburger in Uptown Roxboro. The atmosphere is spot on. Service is great, and even if you're not a drinker the food is worth the visit. HIghly recommend."
"We had spent the morning at Lake Benson for a little walk and the playground for our grandson. Decided we wanted something other than McDonalds for lunch and I searched and found this place. The food is simple but good, place may have seen better days and could use a sprucing up, but the staff is very nice. We all enjoyed our lunch, but the consensus was - get the chili !! It was delicious!"
"This pub is a nice low key spot that's open late night. I enjoy the chill vibe, musical guest and most importantly the food is surprisingly very good!"
"We have eaten here a couple times recently have found the food to be very good. The place is really large, so there are plenty of places to sit, even if you have a large group.Menu is pretty diverse as the Chef has a Cajun background, so you'll find gumbo and po-boys as well as traditional bar food. Upscale entrees available as well like sea scallop risotto and steak frites. Plenty of salads, sandwiches and apps. We both are fans of their Philly Cheese Steak (I like the Chicken version). And I love that they have grilled wings as well as fries.I tried the pineapple sriracha most recently with a side of their vegetable medley of the day. Very tasty. Ranch and Horseradish Honey Mustard dippers are both terrific. We've been lucky also as service with a smile has been our experience.Tip: their current menu online has pics"
"Great location great atmosphere excellent and friendly service. A gem in the area. The food is nothing special. Got fries tots and wings. Great little drinking joint."
"Sharky's is a fun spot to watch a game, play darts, play pool or just to hang out. We stopped in to grab dinner and watch football, it was the BLT with fries for me and the Big Ole Club with chips for my husband. It was more spacious than I thought and the service was great so I'd return."
"It was an alright experience. Solidly average. For $30 plus tip, I had pickle chips, fish & chips and chocolate peanut butter pie. Parking was easy at 2pm. There looks to be a bar and gaming in one room, while another is devoted to dining. I dined. The pickle chips were not greasy and came with ranch dressing. I'm not into ranch dressing, but since this was my first time eating pickle chips, I didn't know what to replace it with. They were good enough and very plentiful. Too much for one person, unless you're the type of one person who eats a lot.The fish & chips were pretty good - the highlight of the meal. But they came with what seemed to be either mayonnaise or sour cream or whatever. I don't know because the dip was totally devoid of flavor. I might have seen a chive...I almost ate it with my hands. Had to ask for a knife and fork...twice. Service was fine and always available, but utensils are pretty much always step one.The pie wasn't much of a win. It had the most flavor of all three courses, but the look and taste simply bled "old." Maybe "old" is a strong word, but by no means can I substitute it with "fresh."No need to return. I imagine the bar scene at night is fun if you're into that sort of thing. Best, A."
"One of my favorite bars in chapel hill. So relaxed and when trying to figure out where to tell a friend to park the bartender offered to let us leave it overnight. He also had zero problem breaking up pitchers and was just a damn good bartender. The bold rock on tap was extra cold and good and he was heavy handed with liquor when making drinks so they were good and strong. Will absolutely be back"
"Seems like most of the reviews ahve been very positive or very negative. I guess I'm in the middle.I came here on a first date, and I'll take the failure of that event out of it. Our server was super nice and accommodating. And they do have good drink specials that rotate throughout the week. But the wings themselves were just ok. We had the spicy lemon pepper and mild. Decent restaurant in a nice area of Raleigh, but didn't make me think I had to return anytime soon."
"Went again with my daughter and husband at her suggestion for her birthday, and we all enjoyed our meals and appetizers. I had the veggie pizza again (didn't realize I picked the same thing! Lol) and really enjoyed it. My daughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich and really loves the hot sauce she gets on the side. My husband enjoyed his shrimp taco as, as well. We all shared fried pickles and the portobello fries - both were delicious but I really enjoyed the portobello fries! Tasty and unique! Our waitress was wonderful, as well!"
"Food and service was pretty good! We ordered a hazy ipa and a blood orange ipa both were good. We ordered the chicken flatbread and Buffalo cauliflower appetizers. Both were delicious. Added bonus we got to bring the pup with us as well! A lot of selections to choose from and I was even able to order an aperol spritz which was perfect and refreshing!"
"Tobacco Road is in the DPAC complex with LOTS to see. When attending a concert, we walked through the river area, caged basketball court, and around by the baseball stadium to get to Tobacco Road. TR is the PERFECT place to post up and grab a drink before a DPAC event/show. If you're into watching a/your team play, try and lock down one of the round booths facing the TV wall. Seriously, we haven't seen a wall like this since Caesar's (Vegas). There was a LOT going on with all the Sunday NFL games. Price point perfectly matches the food. We had all the greatest bar food hits, burgers, tacos, cheesesteaks, ribs, etc. All were solid choices. Service and hosts were friendly and accomodating. We look forward to our next concert, game, and/or downtown Durham stroll."
"We have been quite a few times to Teets during the last few weeks, specifically during the Canes viewing parties. It's my favorite bar in Raleigh.Definitely a great place to meet with friends or catch a game on one of the many TVs around. They have a really cool outdoor seating area in both the front and back of Teets, as well as ample seating inside. I don't know anywhere else you can drink for cheaper. They have pool, darts, jenga, and other games. The bartenders are quick and polite and you usually don't have to wait long for drinks."
"The HefBlackened Chicken PastaNachos w/ grilled chickenBuffalo WingsDone deal papi. Lots of bar seating and patio seating. I'm sure it's a zoo on the weekends but I'll never know. Wednesday night is trivia night. Great idea for large groups. Parking is on the tougher side if you're not looking to pay for a spot. Ask for Halley at the bar, she's top notch. Facts..."
"Overall a good experience dining here. Staff were attentive and the gluten free pizza crust is really good, taste like a regular thin crust pizza. For $1.50 a topping I would've liked to seen better portions on the pizza. They are also have gluten friendly beer. Nice variety of food on the menu including sushi, salads, wraps, burgers, wings, and pasta."
