"Surprisingly good road trip stuff for some healthy food and coffee. Don't let the office building intimidate you the visitor parking was easy and the restrooms are very clean."
"Had the shrimp po' boy with fries. You can alternatively get it with coleslaw or other sides. I bought a po' boy in New Orleans recently that was not as good as this one. Really flavorful and generous. The bread was a dense crumb that didn't fall apart, the shrimp was tender with a crisp outside, the tomatoes were juicy and the sauce was just a little bit spicy. You can add hot sauce, too. Plus, it was a great deal for the price! Filling and tasty... What more can you ask for??"

Visit Restaurant Page"I love a good dive bar. And reminiscent of an old country store, White Oak Grill AND Lounge is the Holy Grail of that genre. White Oak has liquor--and food--and they take credit cards--three things most true dive bars don't have. The bar is bursting with old school, roadside honky tonk character. Their sign is a simple hand-painted piece of plywood. Parking is in a gravel lot (littered with a few beer cans) off the highway. And walking into the bar with a screen door slamming behind me just feels right.Staff was friendly and the food was really good. We had mushroom/jalapeno pizza and fried okra because we're healthy like that. I was surprised to see the bartender/cook making the pizza dough fresh with each order. The pizza was awesome.White Oak has pool tables, outdoor seating, and a stage for karaoke and live music (I was there seeing a friend's blue grass band). And you can get fried dough, boiled peanuts, and Jello shots. It's better than the State Fair! The full menu features country cookin' and typical bar fare. I can't wait to stop in for breakfast--and it's nice to know I can have a shot of whiskey with my egg sandwich if I'm so inclined.Thank you White Oak. There aren't many places like you left in this trendy world."
"We dined in for lunch on the weekend and had a good experience, it was a good spot to watch football. To start we had a round of drinks (mimosas are $5 for a little Sunday funday action) and the crab dip. For food it was an order of the king crab legs that my mom and I split, and the jambalaya for my husband. It is expensive but it was delicious."
"You can sit at the long counter stool and watch them work. We arrived for a late breakfast and it appears most folks were eating lunch and it all looked terrific. We opted for biscuit and gravy and they were out of the sawmill gravy so we got brown instead which threw off our intentions that morning but it was still good. I'm looking forward to going back and having a burger. The place was buzzin and very busy yet our server was sweet as the tea we were drinking. I would make this a regular weekly visit if I lived just a touch closer."
"Not bad yard bird at The Chicken Barn. We stopped when in the area today. The place had a strong A health grade. The service was friendly but very slow. The fried chicken was good but not spectacular. The sides of biscuits and fries were fine. The fried chicken livers and fried chicken tenders were the table favorites. I would not drive out of my way to visit but would certainly visit again if in the area."
"S & T Soda Shoppe is a great place to dine while in Pittsboro. The diner with its 40s decor takes you back in time for its cozy feel. The diner has two floors but we asked to stay on the first level as I wasn't sure if there was all the nostalgic decor upstairs.I love that the building was restored to how it would have looked in the 40s with the mahogany wood; tin ceiling; marble counter; bar stools and tile floor. The details are stunning. The place is busy and has a large food menu as well as ice cream menu. The menu has a lot of sandwiches to select from. I went with the tuna melt on sunflower bread with provolone cheese. The sandwich came with chips but I went with steak fries instead. The sandwich was good but I think I'd go with something else next time after looking at what others were ordering.Service was very friendly and attentive."
"Food Truck Time: Pounded Pig at Fainting Goat Brewing CompanyI really like the pig butt logo, it is super cute. This food truck offers pork sandwiches and a few sides. My husband and I split the Korean pork sandwich, roasted pork with eggplant sandwich, arancini (with mushrooms) and fried taties (no pork added). The food was good, our favorites were the arancini and pork sandwich with eggplant. Check them out if you are at a brewery that they coming to."
"So here's the thing, I really, really wanted to love this place. I follow several food content creators, one of which recommended this establishment. I had this on my wishlist for sometime. Due to timing and distance I hadn't tried previously. The restaurant is located in an unassuming community kitchen with ample parking and seating. The service was warm and inviting. I was immediately greeted and placed my order. Unfortunately, due to unexpected hiccups I had a longer than normal wait time (25 mins or so). The staff was very apologetic and offered to comp an item. I never received the comp, but no worries I appreciate the thought. I ordered the gumbo, rib plate, and cornbread as an appetizer. The gumbo was clearly the star of the show and worth the wait. While I'm not a gumbo aficionado, I found the roux to be complex and appropriately spiced, in both in spice and heat levels. What I didn't like and I would have increased the scoring from a 3 to a 4 was the okra. I'm a okra fan. So I'm guessing he included fried okra to account for non okra fans. The okra didn't travel well and I didn't particularly like. However, all the other elements were very tasty. The rib plate was pretty good. I guess they fried the ribs and sauce after? The sides were fine. I would be perfectly happy with traditional sides, but I appreciated the creativity. I definitely think this establishment is worth a try. Try it and see for yourself. Non traditional soul food: 3.9Correction: refund processed and was received the next bank day."
"You will NOT find better tasting food from any caterer around here. I am so impressed with the amazing quality of the food. I have had great caterers before, but UTO goes above and beyond to serve a 5 star meal. I worked with Lara for over a month for a meal for around 50 people. She helped me make the perfect decision. We went with the filet, chicken piccata, roasted vegetable's, garlic mashed potatoes and 3 passed appetizers of chicken and waffles, crab cakes and shrimp ceviche. The southern salad was one of the most delicious salads I ever had. The shrimp ceviche was my fav thing of all. But every single item was perfect. I have never heard so many people say how good the food was. The servers and bartenders were great, too. I would definitely use them again! Loved it!"
"This food was amazing. It tasted fresh of the grill. The veggies are always fresh. This was so good I will definitely be back more frequently. I've tried the shrimp lettuce wrap but wasnt a fan. The pho was amazing. Loved the takeout packaging. I got a smoothie on a cold rainy day bc I couldnt pass up on a soursop mango, i add mango and boba to it and it was delicious. The service is great and pretty fast."
"Now the pizza was great but the customer service made the pizza even better! Came in looking for a certain beer to have with my pizza and told myself if they didn't have it I was going to leave. Then I saw someone else's pizza! Took a bite and knew I made the right decision. then a manager came over just to make sure our cups were filled at all times. Nice atmosphere, clean store and the waitress took the time to explain the difference between each and every pizza! Definitely coming back and I recommend you too!!!"

I've been back a few more times after my initial visit, and I still really enjoy this spot! There are so many seating options, and the space is large enough that it doesn't stuffy like other cafes that serve food. I tried an egg + cheese bagel for the first time the other day and it was lovely. The perfect serving size for a light breakfast. I also tried the iced caramel macchiato and it was not too sweet! (and if you know asians, you know that is the highest praise lol)I will definitely be back again and again!

This place ain't fancy but it's a great place to get a good meal. Don't let the decor (or lack thereof) scare you off. This is a friendly neighborhood bar with some of the best food in Garner. The burgers are excellent. The pizza is the best we've had in Garner (they make their own dough in-house), and the onion rings are among the best I've had anywhere. They don't usually have microbrews, they don't serve craft cocktails (they do mix a good margarita, though) and they certainly don't have artisanal ice (or artisanal anything), but if you're looking for a tasty bite or a cold beer in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

I'm not from here, so I've never seen a restaurant with all bar seating, but I loved it! Let's you get more personal with the employees. Who by the way are absolutely fun and great to banter with. Anywho, on to the food!! It was all you can eat crab night but my gf and I were definitely in for the oysters so we got the 3lb plate. It was more than enough! I really wanted to try other things but knew my tummy wouldn't have ever let me. The coleslaw and the potatoes are BOMB! We also got the salted caramel cheesecake to go. Don't sleep on their desserts. I can't wait to come back into town and eat here again!

Power was out at home thanks to rolling blackouts, so needed a place for a hot meal on a cold Christmas Eve morning. I'd been following them on Facebook, and saw that they were open. I drove down, seeing that not much else was going on in downtown Reidsville, but a few cars outside the cafe. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and informed that a booth had a wait, or I could opt for the counter, which I chose. I was presented with a menu and ordered a hot cocoa to sip on. I decided on the Carolina Sampler, as it was my first visit, I was hungry, and I didn't know when the power would be back on at home.Breaking it down by item..the scrambled eggs were the softest I've probably ever had cooked on a flattop, the bacon was crispy, the way I like it, the sausage patty was decent, but not otherworldly, the ham was a bit on the salty side, but better than too sweet. The hashbrowns were good, but I forgot to order extra crispy (been a while since I was out for breakfast). The grits, sawmill gravy, apples, and biscuits were all very good in flavor and texture, and the hot cocoa was rich without being too sweet. Definitely have to get the gf down here some time.

I officially know that i had never had good fried chicken until I met Chicken Barn. New Yorker passing through, and we searched online for saw this place was good, plus they had a drive-through. We took the chicken back to the hotel and the first bite made me pause so long because of how tender the meat was, and how perfectly crispy the skin was. Also worth knowing that the chicken wasn't oily. How do they do it? Why can't NY'ers have fried chicken like this? If you're in the area, defo try the fried chicken here. We ordered white meat, but I suspect the dark meat is pretty good too. The biscuit was light, and perfect. But the chicken is the star.

Worth the drive to go enjoy this old apothecary and soda shop. Food is welcoming and homey and the service is usually very good. Love the fresh made lemonade, the foot longHotdog and bowl of cheese (lasagna).

Delicious and unique fare at this local food truck.Online ordering easy using Streetfinder app. Food ready on-time and piping hot, service welcoming and friendly. The menu is pork-centric, featuring several varieties of thinly pounded pork chops. Tried 2 of them. The first is a char grilled boneless pork chop, topped with pickled peppers, arugula. It's served on ciabatta bread, slathered with a sambal-based aioli. The meat is tender and moist, the aioli just spicy enough to stimulate the taste buds. The second is Korean-marinated pork, topped with pickled carrots, Korean radish & cilantro. The marinate adds a touch of sweetness, which contrasts beautifully with the tangy pickled carrots and tart radish.Shout out to the arancini (deep fried risotto balls). Golfball sized dollops of soft, creamy, cheesy risotto are breaded and deep friend golden brown. Crunchy outside, succulent on the inside, 4 to the serving. Yum! A variety of delicious and unique offerings. Check out this food truck when you see them. Good stuff!

I don't like coffee that is full of flavored creamer or extra sugars- I like coffee, touch of oat milk.Their coffee is delicious!I also had the 3 tacos- sausage, egg and pimento cheese. Overall they were good, the egg was so thin I couldn't taste it at al. The pimento cheese and sausage had good flavor."
"Wish I was a local. Enough said. What a quality brew pub.We stopped by to break up a long road-trip. Wow $4 pints of local craft beers with over 21+ variety options on draft. Add in friendly bartenders who will let us sample away to ensure we liked the pint we'd pick.A for ambiance, selection, and experience.Though we did find out we were just lucky enough to visit on $4 pint January-this was not a regular thing, but with the variety and quality of brews I would pay normal pint prices to grab a drink and hang out.The place had ample seating with options for low top tables, bar seating, or couches- with a large tv playing local sports and varying event nights. Excellent must-visit."
"I went here for the first time today -- phenomenal variety of bagels, "shmere", and other tasty treats. I had the turtle mocha and it was phenomenal. Excellent service and unique combinations overall."
"Best food in Asheboro. Started with a fresh crispy salad big enough for two.The fried oysters were cooked Calabash style with deviled crab, two large flounder filets, a baked potato with hushpuppies.Service was fast and our server was cordial and attentive. Clean restrooms.Worth the trip from Cary to Asheboro.Highly recommend."
"Great local place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast served all day. Quaint decor, farmhouse feel, wood, antiques, like visiting grandma's. Booths, tables, or a farm table to seat up to 14!Easy access off I-40, just before the roundabout in Newton Grove. Today, we enjoyed breakfast. Order from the hot bar, with eggs to order, and it comes out quick. Their thick sliced "toast" is actually grilled, and oh my delicious. Hashtater casserole puts the 'barrel's" to shame. Served in a crock, yum.Fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea is awesome. Extra served in cute white rooster pitcher so I can refill at my leisure. Red pitcher for those of you sweet tea drinkers. They also offer Coke products, orange or apple juice, milk, and coffee. They have specialty coffees as well. Cold drinks served in Mason jars. We brought home their in-house bakery items, a donut, cinnamon rolls, and a pint of chicken salad, made with grapes, pecans, and special seasonings. With the combination of delicious foods and decor, you can go wrong here. Enjoy your visit! Our server, Savannah, was friendly and informative, as she answered our questions about the place. Found out she went to school with our kids! It's worth the drive East for a change of scenery and some delicious food, and we're looking forward to our next visit."
"Still outstanding. Delicious, clean, friendly and more Easy parking. Al easy to order in the app."
"TLDR: Typical pizza place with good pizza. Employees are fun and friendly. Service is slow. Prices are high. Ample toppings are added.I ordered online for take-out from here on a weekday evening. I chose a medium cheese pizza with pepperoni (sauce on half the pizza) and a house side salad. The pizza was $15.99 and the side salad was $6.25, which seemed pricy. I arrived about 35 min after ordering and my order was not quite ready. I was informed by the two employees there that it was in the oven. There were no other customers inside and the restaurant did not seem too busy. My order was ready about 10 minutes later. By then I was quite hungry and I didn't want to check the order. Luckily it was accurate. I did remove the olives since I did not realize they would be on the salad. I do wish the online menu listed the salad ingredients. I was impressed that the cheese pizza was made as requested. Plus they added ample pepperoni, under the cheese and on top of the cheese. This was a huge step above other pizzerias in the area. Overall, we had a positive experience here, but is pricy so we likely won't be returning."
"We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine:Parking: 5Location: 5Decor/ambiance: 5Customer Service: 5Let's admit it, there's something about a Cheesesteak that will make you forget any dietary restrictions, any weight loss goals ... shoot nothing else matters when a Cheesesteak hits the table. Well that's exactly what happened when we visited Mr. Cheesesteaks in Durham on yesterday. Mr. Cheesesteak is a food truck that now has a brick and mortar as of June 2020! If you're looking for a delicious lunch on today or if you want to take something home to munch on for dinner later tonight, we recommend Mr. Cheesesteak. Their prices are amazing as their cheesesteaks are under $10 and they are GINORMOUS! The sandwiches are packed with meat and cheese and the bread is so fresh. Pictured here is the beef cheesesteak and the chicken Philly cheesesteak. Both sandwiches are jam packed with fresh clean meats, yummy cheese and veggies! And let's not forget their lemon pepper wings! To wash all that down we grabbed one of their sour slushy's which gave us a brain freeze that was well worth it! Ask for Yoshi or Dale when you visit and tell them Roger K sent ya!"
"Vic's Pizzeria in downtown Raleigh, located on the bustling Glenwood Avenue, impresses with its fresh, contemporary setting marked by high ceilings and vibrant artwork. As you step into this inviting space, the gleam of copper piping adds a unique touch to the well-organized kitchen area. Parking is conveniently available across the street. The ordering process is straightforward at the counter, where the staff showcases their impressive pizza lineup. I opted for the two-slice special with bacon and pepperoni. The bacon was exceptional--so generously piled on that it tumbled off the slices, while the pepperoni was equally satisfying, both rich in flavor and perfectly cooked.Vic's doesn't stop at pizza; their menu also includes appetizers, salads, subs, and New York-style pizzas that you can customize. For those looking for something different, they offer baked wings, calzones, strombolis, and even catering options. Their grab-and-go selections are perfect for a quick meal at home, or you can choose to enjoy your meal in the comfortable, aesthetically pleasing dining area.To top off a delightful visit, Vic's also presents a variety of desserts. This new spot on Glenwood Avenue is more than just a pizzeria--it's a testament to well-executed classic and innovative fare in a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, looking for a meal to take home, or planning to dine in, Vic's Pizzeria is a must-visit for both locals and visitors in Raleigh."
"Update to a review I left before: returned to Picnic and had one of the area's best BBQ sandwiches, complete with mac and cheese and hushpuppies, so good they will make your tastebuds sing. Prompt and efficient process to order and receive food. The setting may feel a little stark, given the exposed ceiling and huge chalkboard of drinking options, but where else will you get a brew named Bring Me a Shrubbery? Go there. Eat. Enjoy."
"By chance, I ended up at the Eno River Brewery and was in need of lunch and was excited to see this as an option that was very close by! From the outside, it looked like a very simple place which was part of the draw for me. Deciding between brisket and pork is usually a challenge for me, so I this time I opted for both with two sides. Both the pork and brisket were good. I would consider the Mac and cheese to just be average but did enjoy the corn pudding. The hush puppies were pretty good too! I'm sorry I don't recall my servicer name, but she was attentive. I thought the food was reasonably priced and would totally return again in the future! Thank you for a great meal!"
"Quick review here. I stopped in here two weeks ago for a "cheat" day Philly Cheesesteak that I heard from others was delicious. They were right! I was a solo act today with my wife gone for the weekend and our teenage son out doing the "teenager" thing. Anyway, Southern Craft has a really nice sandwich and burger menu (a burger will be tried next time) with an assortment of accompanying sides or chips. I didn't see canned or bottled sodas but they do have a soda dispensary in the back of the store. I think my last visit here was when it was a full fledged butcher shop pre pandemic, not sure though. You are seeing a lot of reviews here with those words "pre pandemic." It was a nice day so I sat outside. The sandwich was really good. It is close to an authentic Philly Cheesesteak that you would get say in Philly. The bread it comes on is different but good none the less. The ingredients are fresh and it was cooked perfectly. Definitely consider Southern Craft a dining option when visiting Lafayette Village in Raleigh."
"Located within walking distance of UNC Chapel Hill, it's an old time drug store with a diner type restaurant. Cheap and cheerful. Service was fast and food was good. What more could you want? We got breakfast and can customize to your liking. My veggie omelette was very tasty and filling."
"What can I say that hasn't already been said, over and over? Ok, I'll give it a shot. We decided to head east for a drive from the triad to try this spot. This family run restaurant is a delight and a true gem. They are only doing curb service right now, but they will greet you when you arrive, offer you a menu (we used our phones) and let you know to just give them a call when you're ready to order. They do have a couple of picnic tables that we took advantage of. The sandwiches were delicious and generous, and the owner came out and introduced herself. She and her husband operate the restaurant with the help of their incredibly personable and attentive kids. We would make the drive again just to eat here. 100/10!"
"I love this restaurant. Bright cheerful rooms, tables spaced apart, light shining in windows. Great staff. The best chicken salad and broccoli salad around. Fruit and muffin fresh tasting. I pretend like I'm going to order something else but I just can't. Hands down my favorite lunch."
"Came here off a heavy recommendation while downtown Raleigh. Considering it was cold out, coming to a local coffee shop was just what we wanted. You can view to accompanying photos to see the inside, it's really tasteful and the ambiance is calm and chill. We noticed the cleanliness of this establishment is top notch (including the bathrooms). Service was great, just one worker behind the counter but she was able to keep up. She was so friendly and helped us with ordering what we were in the mood for. I got the Lucettegrace HOT coffee which is two espresso shots with steamed condensed milk. This is exactly what I was looking for and one of the best sweet hot coffee drinks I've had. We also got a chai tea latte which was absolutely delicious. Now on top of the bomb drink experience we got a pastry which I forgot the name of however what was awesome was that the girl ended up giving us a free baklava croissant. This was so unexpected but much appreciated. "I'll be back!" - Arnold Schwarzenegger"
"Enjoyed a footlong philly cheesesteak sub. The onions and peppers were finely chopped up and complimented the sandwich. Unlike another review I can attest the meat us not ground beef."
"Cornerstone Cafe & Coffee is located in Downtown Benson. It is across the street from the Benson Museum which was closed because of a broken AC. But I still decided to stay in Benson for lunch and found Cornerstone Cafe. You wait to be seated then you get to sit where you'd like. I found a table at the window and watched the traffic on the busy street and several trains go through during my lunch. The cafe is inviting with the brick walls and decor. The staff was very eager to take my order, too eager as I didn't even have a chance to look at the menu. Both breakfast and lunch were available to order. Breakfast was very tempting but I decided to go with the lunch menu and the summer chicken salad on a croissant. I also ordered a side of the mac n cheese. Both were delicious although I couldn't finish. But that was my fault for ordering too much.I'd eat here again when I return to visit the museum and try the Elvis waffle.Cornerstone Cafe is a solid choice to eat in Benson, NC."
"My pizza was delicious. Excellent customer service and the delivery driver was awesome. I will order from here again."
"Milo's is a new European-inspired cafe in Morrisville with a beautiful interior. We tried their Strawberry Matcha Latte, which had a good balance of sweet and fruity flavors alongside the matcha. Overall, Milo's is a solid spot for catching up with friends or getting some work done. We're looking forward to watching them grow!"
"I came here around 3:10pm on a Monday afternoon to get lunch with a friend. It wasn't very busy as there were about 3 parties eating and one party reviewing the menu. The aroma when I first walked in was amazing. After reviewing the menu, our order was placed at 3:17pm. I got the jam-tastic burger with fries. My friend build his own burger. The food came at 3:23pm. My burger was delicious, as expected. I got this the previous time I was here. My friend enjoyed his burger as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The cashiers also walk around and clean the tables and check on the customers, which is awesome. No complaints at all. Mondays are their burger special day, so that's the day to go!!"
"Sutton's is where it's at! My burger was cooked perfectly and the french fries were amazing. The sweet tea is spectacular and served in a UNC cup that you can take home. Service was outstanding. One young lady working the dining room and register by herself and she was killing it! I highly recommend this establishment."
"The best breakfast around. Great link sausage on a hot dog bun for their version of a breakfast sausage dog. They will even add scrambled eggs with cheese if you request. Their hamburgers and hot dogs are really good as well. Great service. Great value. We love this place."
