"I'm in town picking up my daughter for a long fall break weekend and I have some time to kill untilHer classes end. It's lunchtime and I can always eat. I hate NC State campus traffic so I drive a bit until I see this Italian Restaurant. I could eat a slice or two.Due to lack of help their hours are reduced just so you know. Several diners were outside eating under and awning which is a nice option if you like that sort of thing. I don't. I don't like competing with insects for my food so indoor dining for me.This place has been in business for decades and if you want to be transported back to the 80's, you are here. The server was new and didn't know the sides (no big deal). He found out and told me. Their menu is typical Italian fare. Pizza, Stromboli....yada yada you get the idea. I opted for the 2 slices and side (salad) for $9.50.Oh my poor salad. One slice of cucumber, one small red onion ring and one cherry tomato mixed j. With overly large pieces of romaine. I ordered blue cheese which was unremarkable, kinda like the salad. The dressing was bland which complimented the salad perfectly. The pizza slices arrived and they were decent size. I got cheese pizza because that's the only way in my mind to taste the basics. Maybe I should have gotten pepperoni. The good: the bottom crust was very crisp. It was a nice change from the usually floppy slices where all sauce bleeds through and makes it all a soggy mess. This was nice. Crisp and took your attention to cut through it with your knife. The Meh: overall, the pizza is BLAND. Most of the flavor came from the Parmesan cheese and chili flakes I added after tasting it. The space was way too thin. You hardly knew it was there. The cheese was adequate but again, didn't bring anything to the party. I guess the biggest disappointment was the crust.I think most people feel the crust is suppose to be a blank slate for the toppings. I disagree. I think the crust should be flavorful as well. Making dough rise too quickly doesn't allow for flavor to develop. The crust was flavorless. Not worth the calories so leave it when you finish with the rest of the slice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The seating area was clean albeit a bit dated. Overall, a 5/10. Maybe if I come back I'll try something else. Maybe the pizza guy had a bad day."
"I love a good dive bar. And reminiscent of an old country store, White Oak Grill AND Lounge is the Holy Grail of that genre. White Oak has liquor--and food--and they take credit cards--three things most true dive bars don't have. The bar is bursting with old school, roadside honky tonk character. Their sign is a simple hand-painted piece of plywood. Parking is in a gravel lot (littered with a few beer cans) off the highway. And walking into the bar with a screen door slamming behind me just feels right.Staff was friendly and the food was really good. We had mushroom/jalapeno pizza and fried okra because we're healthy like that. I was surprised to see the bartender/cook making the pizza dough fresh with each order. The pizza was awesome.White Oak has pool tables, outdoor seating, and a stage for karaoke and live music (I was there seeing a friend's blue grass band). And you can get fried dough, boiled peanuts, and Jello shots. It's better than the State Fair! The full menu features country cookin' and typical bar fare. I can't wait to stop in for breakfast--and it's nice to know I can have a shot of whiskey with my egg sandwich if I'm so inclined.Thank you White Oak. There aren't many places like you left in this trendy world."

Visit Restaurant Page"Last night, my wife asked if I would finally be able to make time to mount, wire and hang our living room TV since it's been lying on the floor of our new home since moving in on Sunday. Knowing that organizing multiple wires, drilling, measuring and hooking up this TV would take me some time, we settled on ordering pizza delivery with a new, local pizza place to us. After my Mrs. asked around at work, many mentioned that Randy's has some of the best in the area. So, Randy's is what we ordered. FOOD: 12" Supreme Specialty Pizza and 14" Cheese Pizza ($38.28 after tax). Both pizzas were very good but I gravitated toward the supreme over the cheese. The veggies, pepperoni and ground up sausage were great. The sauce isn't too tangy and is actually very pleasant. The dough is very good dough but was very limp and had very little structure to it, once held in hand. A couple of the slices had some slight char to them but I was hoping for a firmer crust with a little bit of crunch to it. Honestly, I believe if these pies were left in the oven for just another 2 and half minutes, they could have been fantastic. Each bite, the dough was soft and chewy in consistency so I'm wondering if I could ask Randy's to leave it in a little longer next time? It might make a big difference for my next review. SCORE: 3.9 STARS!!SERVICE: Ordered Grubhub directly through Yelp and the delivery driver was pleasant, although this is not a direct reflection of Randy's' immediate staff. No way to gauge service for this visit, aside from the order was hot and delivered on time. SCORE: N/AOVERALL SCORE: Pretty good local pizza. Looking forward to trying them again when I ask for my crust to be well-done. 3.9 STARS!!"
"Still yummy after all these years just more $$$ though unfortunately. But for an occasional treat, by the slice, it hits the spot."
"Went on a late Saturday afternoon and had the patio to ourselves. Loved the quietness & the nice breeze from the outdoor fans. Enjoyed my blood orange cider and the burger was incredibly juicy & tasty!"
"Let me tell you something....Checkers Pizza and Subs in Raleigh, NC has some seriously delicious food! How good? So good that the food had my car smelling so good that I couldn't wait to eat, hence the reason for the pictures with portions of food missing. LOL My "All The Way" Small Pizza and Honey BBQ appetizer wings were exactly what I had been craving. The food hit that spot, and I had to call the restaurant back to thank them for my meal. Yes Lawd! The customer service in the restaurant was also excellent. This was my first time visiting Raleigh in many years, and my first experience at this establishment. I selected this particular restaurant after looking at different places on Yelp and liking their choice of menu items and pricing, compared to other restaurants. I was pleased to see how the staff at Checkers treated every customer. The quaint shop is clean and neat, and has space for dine-in or carry out. Checkers Pizza and Subs has an extensive menu that includes pizza, subs, Mediterranean food, and some vegetarian options. To top it off, they are open until 4:00am! How can you top a restaurant with great service, reasonable prices, delicious food, and menu variety, that is open until 4am? You can't! I highly recommend Checkers Pizza and Subs. Tell them Kindra Speech sent you."
"Ordered takeout from Tio's Pizza, Empanadas and Wings today. The order was placed at the restaurant. The wait was not too bad. It took about 20 minutes to receive our order. The restaurant was clean, and everyone was friendly and professional. The food portions are great, and the price is very reasonable. We ordered a Cheese Calzone with Chicken Peppers, Black Olives, and Mushrooms; Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo; Garlic Knots; and Jalapeño Poppers. Everything was good; however, the cream of the crop was the Shrimp Fettuccine. Everything else tasted okay but could've used a little more seasoning for a better flavor. The Shrimp Fettuccine was seasoned well, appropriately cooked, and very flavorful."
"Now the pizza was great but the customer service made the pizza even better! Came in looking for a certain beer to have with my pizza and told myself if they didn't have it I was going to leave. Then I saw someone else's pizza! Took a bite and knew I made the right decision. then a manager came over just to make sure our cups were filled at all times. Nice atmosphere, clean store and the waitress took the time to explain the difference between each and every pizza! Definitely coming back and I recommend you too!!!"
"Lunch special, two slices, a drink less then $9. My spinach feta and tomato pizza was delicious. It was hot, with a great chew and a fantastic undercarriage. The buffalo chicken pizza did not disappoint either. Just the right amount of spice and a great crunch with every bite. This is a joint, nothing fancy but good pizza."
"Very good pizza to go last evening. Meatball and onion pizza was good. Cheese pizza was also good. A good service experience at pick up."
"A must try if you're in the area!! One of my all-time favorites. Great bar food and drinks at amazing prices. The inside is quite small, so it can get busy and packed quickly especially after 5. There are plenty of parking options, but the adjacent lot is small then there's a dirt lot right across from the restaurant as well. The size of the restaurant is my only complaint. I live right across the street so I just do to-go, but have gone during the week for lunch a few times when it wasn't too busy. They have a full bar with a lot of beer and liquor options as well as a few wine options. The servers are all friendly and helpful. Definitely a small-town family feel when you go. Now to the important part...the food. AMAZING. Everything is good here and there's an assortment of options. I've had so many different things on the menu and I have always been pleased. The prices are also great for the quality and quantity you get. Some of my favorite dishes include: Mango Jalapeno Wings PizzaSubsStuffed Mushroom (stuffed with crab and shrimp) Mussels Homemade chips Shrimp in Garlic Salmon BLT WrapStromboliAlso, they have great specials every weekend that start on Thursday evenings and go Friday and Saturday evening. So far, I haven't seen them repeat any of their specials so if you see one you'd like to try you'd better just jump in and try it. They post their specials on their Facebook page as well as any updates so make sure to Like and Follow them there!"

Glad we hit this spot, I think it goes overlooked with the more trendy places around it. All of the food was great and our waitress made our night with her humor and honesty about the food. All of her recommendations were spot on! Great place to grab Italian, I wish we had more time the Sicilian pizza take 1.5 hours but looks worth it!

This place ain't fancy but it's a great place to get a good meal. Don't let the decor (or lack thereof) scare you off. This is a friendly neighborhood bar with some of the best food in Garner. The burgers are excellent. The pizza is the best we've had in Garner (they make their own dough in-house), and the onion rings are among the best I've had anywhere. They don't usually have microbrews, they don't serve craft cocktails (they do mix a good margarita, though) and they certainly don't have artisanal ice (or artisanal anything), but if you're looking for a tasty bite or a cold beer in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

Been getting delivery from Randy's for quite some time-always delicious. Today I picked up a large catering order for some deserving teachers and the order was perfect. Double cut just like I asked, perfect toppings, everything packed just right. I really appreciate how much care was taken with my order, and as always, it looked delicious. The cashier was so sweet and pleasant and the place was clean. We will definitely keep going back. Thank you, Randy!

I'm a bit disheartened to write a comment about our recent purchases. My half of the pizza always requests onion & I always add a note to request that it be THIN SLICES. Thick chunks of onion actually makes a pizza very unpleasant in taste, in my opinion. I feel if I'm paying nearly $40 for a pizza (plus tax/delivery/tip) that I should at least like my pizza. I'll stop asking for onion when I order from them again, and picked off the onion chunks that I paid for, of course - but would hope next time they'd take a moment to call a customer (before just throwing on whatever they have around) to see if they're ok with an alternate item than what the customer specifically requested.

Came here for lunch today with my wife and we were both pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away. It was fairly loud inside so we took a seat outside. The food and drinks both arrived soon after we ordered. We started with their chorizo dip with pita chips, which really hit the spot. I was a big fan of their Tavern Pasta with shrimp and an even bigger fan of their Painkiller cocktail. Honestly there were at least a dozen things on the menu that I'd be interested in trying. Everything we tried was extremely salty so maybe be careful if you have sodium issues, but it sure tasted great.

I mean this place is sketch AF and I gotta say, I respect that. I respect any restaurant that keeps doing business into the deep hours of the night.I only get one thing here and that's Chicken Shawarma. For me that's a four star, and I see a lot of one stars on Yelp. There are a lot of places that serve Chicken Shawrma but The Only Correct Way is cooking it via a vertical rotisserie -- it's real hard to find a place that does this in the area. I've lived here for 10 years and this is the first and so far only place within driving distance for me.PS, that vertical rotisserie gets put away at 8PM then they keep it on the menu as something else. That ain't great, so plan ahead.I eat here 5-6 times a month, sometimes the shawarma has like a thin fat skin on it, that again, isn't great (I have ARFID) so my eating sensibilities aren't the best. Maybe it's more correct with the fat on it.The food is usually fast, and it isn't too expensive. It has the college vibe to it.

Very conveniently located and have great pizza offerings. Personally I like the texture of the dough for the small pizzas the best, but all are great. Great garlic knots too! Good prices and low wait times. Solid pizza option for the Fuquay-Varina area.
Visit Restaurant Page"Tried this place out for the 1st time and it was great! Pizza was cooked quickly, was tasty, and was made with quality ingredients. Definitely better than the chain places! Will order again!"
"Ordered wings to go instead of pizza.Thai chili and Garlic parmesan.Promised a 10 minute turn around and they fulfilled the promise. Mind you, 10 minutes of pizza time is different from real timeOthers got pizza and wings and were very happy!Lots of call-in/pickup orders were going out with the locals in the area."
"Not only does this tavern have some of most comfortable outdoor seating arrangements and vast selection of drinks around, they have some extremely impressive people working behind the bar. I have learned the difficulty of finding a bar that can consistently make a great old fashioned or even have all of the ingredients to make a mediocre one. After ordering one here and watching the bartender make it, I was literally blown away by the attention to detail he took to make this drink, this man has skills! Its an interactive environment that has an energy of its own and although its a busy place, there is always plenty of comfortable seating and not deafening to the ears when you want to hold a conversation. Cheers!"
"Overall not a bad place, folks are very nice.Food is good, the only issue they have would be one word, overwhelmed. With the lack of eateries on Rt 42 east of Clayton, this little place is the end all. They run 3 to 4 phones with monitors that when I was there, non stop. With this, the pizza was not prepared as ordered nor the salad with the correct components, however I will continue to frequent their establishment as I said before it was satisfying Give it a try!"
"Decided to check out the Family Meal. Large cheese pizza ($2 pepperoni), mozzarella sticks and garlic knots for under $25.The pizza was ok, wish the pepperoni was not at an additional cost. I really didn't care for the mozzarella sticks, wish they were cheesy. Knots were ok."
"Stopped in for some pizza and wine/ beer. We got the pineapple pizza with cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were so yummy I could literally just eat those alone and be happy. Pineapple pizza was good! Our server was very sweet and the restaurant was clean! It's your typical charming pizza place in a small town!"
"TLDR: Typical pizza place with good pizza. Employees are fun and friendly. Service is slow. Prices are high. Ample toppings are added.I ordered online for take-out from here on a weekday evening. I chose a medium cheese pizza with pepperoni (sauce on half the pizza) and a house side salad. The pizza was $15.99 and the side salad was $6.25, which seemed pricy. I arrived about 35 min after ordering and my order was not quite ready. I was informed by the two employees there that it was in the oven. There were no other customers inside and the restaurant did not seem too busy. My order was ready about 10 minutes later. By then I was quite hungry and I didn't want to check the order. Luckily it was accurate. I did remove the olives since I did not realize they would be on the salad. I do wish the online menu listed the salad ingredients. I was impressed that the cheese pizza was made as requested. Plus they added ample pepperoni, under the cheese and on top of the cheese. This was a huge step above other pizzerias in the area. Overall, we had a positive experience here, but is pricy so we likely won't be returning."
"Let me first say that I'm usually hesitant going to local Italian restaurants because of the number of mediocre meals that would've been cheaper and better if I made them myself at home. Cristo's is the exact opposite of that. The restaurant itself is unassuming and doesn't scream "my food is amazing" but trust me, THE FOOD IS AMAZING. A group of 7 of us ordered a bunch of things to share them family-style and nothing we had was below a 4/5. It was all so good. Caesar salad - dressing was bomb and perfect amount of dressing and croutons. The bread they gave us was super fresh and delicious. The main events - the pasta and pizza blew my mind. My two favorites, the rigatoni bolognese and the pineapple hot honey pizza were easily 5/5 and if I could I'd rate them higher, some of the best pasta and pizza I've eaten in a good while. The other pizza, the Brooklyn was also delicious and I recommend it. The gnocchi was probably the only thing I would give a 4/5 and it's probably only because it had to go up against the rest of the dishes. The surprise dish of the night was the pear pasta! Definitely something different, a fun change of pace, and the perfect dish to share with people if you want a little bit of richness. Overall, 5/5 will be back as soon as I possibly can. The only picture I took was at the end because I was enjoying the food so much I forgot. My bad."
"It's a great location close to my Airbnb and the food is good. Nice staff too. I've had their pizza and subs."
"Vic's Pizzeria in downtown Raleigh, located on the bustling Glenwood Avenue, impresses with its fresh, contemporary setting marked by high ceilings and vibrant artwork. As you step into this inviting space, the gleam of copper piping adds a unique touch to the well-organized kitchen area. Parking is conveniently available across the street. The ordering process is straightforward at the counter, where the staff showcases their impressive pizza lineup. I opted for the two-slice special with bacon and pepperoni. The bacon was exceptional--so generously piled on that it tumbled off the slices, while the pepperoni was equally satisfying, both rich in flavor and perfectly cooked.Vic's doesn't stop at pizza; their menu also includes appetizers, salads, subs, and New York-style pizzas that you can customize. For those looking for something different, they offer baked wings, calzones, strombolis, and even catering options. Their grab-and-go selections are perfect for a quick meal at home, or you can choose to enjoy your meal in the comfortable, aesthetically pleasing dining area.To top off a delightful visit, Vic's also presents a variety of desserts. This new spot on Glenwood Avenue is more than just a pizzeria--it's a testament to well-executed classic and innovative fare in a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, looking for a meal to take home, or planning to dine in, Vic's Pizzeria is a must-visit for both locals and visitors in Raleigh."
"So, i'll start off the review saying I have been here before, once for take out and once for a communion celebration out which day it catered. Both experiences were good. It seems as though they might be under new management as they also have a new menu and new chef. I had no trouble getting a reservation by calling the evening before for Friday night for 2 individuals at 6:15 PM. When we arrived, we were greeted and sat at a table with two waters. We weren't spoken to you again for at least 15 minutes unti the waitress came by to take out drink orders. I ordered a glass of Prosecco and my friend wine. Eve came back to the table 10 mins later and aPologized for the wait but they had to open new bottles. I asked if we could order apps or dinner until she brought our drink and she said "I'd rather bring you your drinks first" Funny, I thought it was customer's preference! Anyway, she brought it 5 mins later then left again. We just wanted to get our dinner and one app order in at this point. We saw glorious baskets of French bread and olive oil brought to the other tables so we were hoping for that. Nope! I finally asked and i definitely appeared to have bothered her. She said "you're next in line". Our dinners: my fiend ordered the pasta primavera and I ordered the seafood Fantasia (as recommendddnby Eve). It was very tasty albeit a bit under salted. I wish they would bring their linguine vongole back. It was my favorite!!' All in all, I would recommend this place just because open about what you want and how long you have to wait for it."
"Good pizza, probably the only good delivery pizza I've found actually. Moved from Miami and schianos is one of the few places that can give me my pizza fix. Good family owned business."
"Stopped in for a carryout dinner from Avent Ferry Pizza when I was in Raleigh for an overnight stay. I had a small veggie pizza and a tossed salad. The place is tucked away in an older shopping center and doesn't have much at all in the way of onsite dining, but the food was good and I would eat there again if I were back in the area."
"We almost didn't stop by because their YELP listing said they were about to close. I am so glad that we did a u-turn and decided to stop. It was a Wed at around 1:30.We took advantage of the Wed lunch special. We each had a small size signature pizza and a salad. It also includes a drink but we each had a beer so that didn't count.Waitstaff was super friendly and helpful. Couldn't of ask for anything more. The food was top notch. We will be stopping by again soon. Give them a try. You will be glad you did !!"
"After hearing many positive reviews about the pizza, I finally made it in for lunch.Great location with plenty of parking. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. Stopped in for lunch and didn't realize they don't offer individual slices, so naturally I had to order a pizza for myself:)I ordered the Margherita pizza, it's cooked in their wood oven and was flavorful. Can't wait to try other menu items. Nice and small intimate pizzeria in the heart of Cary."
"If you are in a pinch and in search of some late night food, then this is your top option. Yes, there's a pizza spot and a southern takeout down the street, but MAW has a broader selection. 100% college bar after 10pm for sure, but fairly quiet for most of the day. Food is average but filling. Good portions on the nachos, MAW burger and BAC burger. Good prices on beers and they're usually running a promo on some other items. Plenty of seating, street parking and a few arcade games to keep you entertained during your stay. For the late night..."
"Good pizza at this new shop in Wake Forest. This is the 3rd iteration of a pizza place at this former Domino's location. The conveyor belt oven is gone, replaced with a real pizza oven! Pizza freshly tossed NY-style. Tried a veggie pie. Freshly sliced mushrooms, black olives, green pepper and onions. Well proportioned cheese/sauce ratio. Crust cooked just right - a nice crunch on the bottom, moist and chewy on the top. It took about 15 minutes longer than the 30 minutes promised. The place is busy (a good thing) and they're just getting started, so I'm sure prediction will get better as time goes on. The team offered me a free dessert for the extended wait - a nice touch which shows me they're paying attention. Good pizza plus paying attention - you bet I'll be back."
"My pizza was delicious. Excellent customer service and the delivery driver was awesome. I will order from here again."
"George's Pizzeria is located in Downtown Wake Forest. It is at the end of the Cotton Company. When there are events upstairs at the Cotton Company you can order pizza or other food and take it to your event. I did that when they had the Comedy Nights. You do need to climb some stairs to get in the front door as it is on the second level. They do have curbside pickup if you cannot do the stairs.I went to George's for lunch and they had a lunch special of two slices and a drink for $5.99 so that is a really good deal. Service was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed.I ordered a whole cheese and the penne vodka with shrimp and fried zucchini. Everything was really good."
"Primo Pizza is our go to pizza joint in Clayton! It's a small hole in the wall place in downtown but don't let that steer you away. The pizza here is delicious and the garlic knots deserve an honorary mention! It's super garlicky mmmm!"
"I stopped into Farina for a quick lunch while I was visiting the Lafayette shopping center. I heard Farina makes their pasta in house, I thought Gnocchi was the perfect dish to try! The gnocchi were soft and fluffy pillows of goodness. The marinara was perfect combo of acidity and sweet. The only thing I wasn't sure about was whether they used the square slices of mozzarella melted on top, rather than fresh Buffalo mozzarella. Either way, the food was great... I will definitely be back when in the area!"
"I had a pasta a la Maria & my partner had the salmon a la Rosa one. Mines had scallops shrimp and crab meat on top. It was a vodka sauce and delicious. We both loved ours. Staff was friendly and service was quick. We still think about this place often (we're from out of town)"
"Despite another long wait , Georgina's food is worth the wait. The staff were definitely overworked and trying to stay on top of it, apologizing several times. You felt sorry for them, enough to help them out, by getting things they couldn't get to. We had a little hangry starting to creep in but waited patiently. Lovely casual seating outside, nice inside too, but I love the outdoors in summer. Great menu options, pizza, pasta, Stromboli, calzones, sandwiches. Decent wine and beer list, which took a solid 30 mins to come out after ordering . At least we had water! Food wise we had an array we ordered. I got the pasta marinara which I shared, the neopolitan pizzas were their specialty , we had the veggie and BBQ chicken, the grandma crust which is their thin crust, only in a 16 inch, we had the meat lovers. Also on the table the pasta Francese. For appetizers we had the buffalo wings and calamari. I have to say all the food was really good, I loved the marinara sauce, and it was a huge plate of paste. I don't think they make their own pasta though. We were disappointed on one count that they were out of gluten free pasta, for our celiac diner, but they did bring out the meatballs even though they were out of pasta. Which were really quite good. The pizzas were really good, full of toppings great crust. The grandma one looked amazing, crust was a bit thicker than I thought it would be. The francese was breaded chicken with pasta , another great big portion. We all loved the food. Just required a lot of patience to wait. Sometimes I did wonder if they'd forgotten us as we were the only ones seated outside. Honestly I would eat here again based on food choices and the quality. Just don't go really hungry! The staff were great though we could tell they were really pushing themselves. I hope they don't have to suffer to much from customers who don't practice waiting . Great food here though!"
