Hillsborough Bakeshop & Pasta

Cute spot! I only had a vanilla cold brew but all their pastries and food looked delicious! The staff were friendly and service was quick! Be prepared to park a few blocks away. I was able to park in the garage and it was a short walk.

We stopped by for lunch on a Thursday. The pastries in the case looked delicious but we didn't try them today. I could see where this would be a great coffee and pastry stop on a lazy morning.I got the goat cheese sandwich and hubby got the Italian sandwich. We cut them in half and traded. Both sandwiches were made with fresh ingredients and were very tasty. Nothing but a sandwich is included. After the 20% (living wage) add on, these sandwiches are running right at $20 each. They were good sandwiches but not $20 good. Just my opinion.We may stop by and try a pastry next time.

This place is a gem! Pastry in the morning is always fabulous. Pasta is homemade and super creative with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. I'd say it's my favorite place in Hillsborough, but that would be too limiting - It's my favorite place!

The best pasta with alfredo sauce I've had in a long time. Everything here is so fresh - the coffee, the tea, the pastries they made in house and then there's the food. Everything is handmade fresh in store. We had a meatball sandwich and a pasta Alfredo with Lion mushrooms... if you are near Hillsborough do yourself a favor and spend an hour there. Amazing!

Oh man I miss Pancuito and will always be sad it's gone but...the replacement is amazing.My pals and I came here for brunch and loved everything about this place. The food is incredible and the coffee was great! And the staff could not be friendlier.There's limited seating, but if you can snag a spot outside there are some nice umbrellas.

I hate to give this a a two-star review but I can only relate to my latest experience. I am definitely aware that this is a different vehicle than Pancuito but my wife and I took my Mother for lunch (after bragging about the food quality for years..we went to Pancuito every year on my wife's birthday for @ 5yrs up until Covid). This lunch was about one month ago. My Mom had the Tuna Fish salad that was offered (scoop of tuna fish on bed of lettuce), my Wife had the pork dish that was offered and I chose the Vegetarian Burger. The lunch menu is small and limited but they are transparent about that. All of the dishes were pretty straight-forward in their simplicity; Will comment that my 'veggie burger' was a bit mushy/wet, not at all what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber (unless I didn't fully understand the transformation) and also that my stomach was upset for almost two days after this meal. I have worked in the 'restaurant kitchen' and understand that there can be "off days" but this was notably unimpressive. Like I said, I know this is a different vehicle than 'Pancuito,' but I definitely expected the same level of food quality. We had been for dinner on many occasions, brought friends to the restaurant, etc...and it has always been one of our favorite places and highlights of our local area. We have not gone for the dinner experience so I cannot speak to that. I also want to emphasize that before this meal, we had only had wonderful experiences at this restaurant. We will try it again, for sure, because of the history we have with this place. Hopefully, it was just an"off day."

Absolutely adorable spot in downtown Hillsborough. Cute decor inside and the staff were so kind. Came for breakfast and absolutely will be back. Amazing baked goods and breakfast options including a divine bialy + egg and shakshuka.

The curry chicken salad is delicious and the portion is huge! Perfect for lunch! Service was fast and with a smile! The decor was lovely and comfortable for dining! I will go back again!

Delicious pasta dishes, fresh and yummy salads. We were so stuffed we had to take dessert home! :)Wonderful cocktails as well. Definitely check them out!

Creative selection and perfectly executed.I had a savory breakfast pastry, and my friend had a sweet one. They were both absolutely delicious.
