Funnel Me Crazy

I cannot believe I have not been here before. It is super close to where I am and it is so good! I am always craving a funnel cake and never want to make them myself, I usually just wait for a state fair to roll around, but now I don't have to. Funnel Me Crazy is now my new obsession. I went in probably an hour and a half before closing and it was packed. I order a classic funnel cake in the deluxe size and a lemonade. The lemonade was really good - it's a little sweet but delicious and I tend to like my lemonade on the sweeter side. The funnel cake was amazing! I should have gotten a smaller size since it was just me, but I was too excited and ordered the largest one, I know to go smaller next time. It was loaded with powder sugar just how I like it. I can't wait to go back!

For the experience we had, my wife and I rate Funnel Me Crazy three Yelp stars. We liked this place OK.My wife had a random craving for funnel cake and remembered seeing this place on Yelp. At the time of posting this review, @funnelmecrazy has 39.8K followers on Instagram.During our visit on a Sunday around 5:45pm, this place was busy. Inside, almost every seat was taken. I guesstimate only about 15, maybe 20, people can sit inside here comfortably. I think most orders are to-go. Dine-in orders are served on trays, so the serving style is different depending on if you dine in or take out.The in-person ordering setup is weird and seems inefficient. You place your order at one part of the counter and pay at another. Why wouldn't you order and pay at the same spot like, for example, most cafes and bubble tea joints that are of similar size and setup? Maybe it's a routing/crowding issue. I can see that given the layout here.During our visit, there was classic funnel cake (regular 6-inch for $6, deluxe 8-inch for $8), 12 special funnel cake "flavors" (with various toppings, regular 6-inch for $10, deluxe 8-inch for $12), fried Oreos (6 for $5.50), and "Crazy Lemonades" ($3.50-4.50 each). Funnel cake flavor examples included Banana Pudding with Nilla Wafer crumbles, Churro with caramel sauce, and S'mores with toasted marshmallows.We got the Birthday Cake (regular 6-inch for $10). It consisted of a funnel cake topped with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and sprinkles. It was good. The funnel cake was deep-fried-to-order so it came out nice and warm and crispy. Overall, with toppings, it was nothing too fancy. It came exactly as described. I love sprinkles so I could've used more of those, but not a big deal. We enjoyed it.Service was fine. Looked like they had a full staff on-hand.My wife said she would come back depending on how badly she's craving funnel cakes.One thing is for certain: Funnel Me Crazy has made funnel cakes more accessible in this area. No longer do you have to go to the fair to get them.Funnel Me Crazy is hidden from street view. You have to drive into the shopping center to find it.

This black owned business offers freshly made funnel cake with yummy toppings! It may be a bit wait because they made the cake right before serving, but you could put in online order before you go and pick it up. The shop is clean, spacious for a cake shop, and has indoor seatings. On Fridays, they have the "funnel friday" deal buy one get one free (or half off, cannot remember)!

1st time @ Funnel Me Crazy. I almost don't want to post this to keep them to myself. 16 different kind of funnel cakes so much better than @ any state fair. So let's go crazy @ Funnel Me Crazy!

The funnel cakes were delicious!! Service was pretty quick and friendly as well. Forgot to take pictures. Don't expect ambiance. It's quick order, pickup and go kinda place. They do have a few seats and we did sit and ate. Would definitely go back.

Best dessert I've at all year the cheese cake pieces was good the strawberries was good and fresh the powered sugar was just enough the funnel cake was crispy and soft at the same time I also got the 24k Oreos with the Carmel syrup and that was delicious all for 16$ I will definitely be going back ! I gotta try all of them I didn't get the ice cream on top but I'll try it next time.

Poor customer service and no organization. When you wait patiently for direction, the staff are very rude and sarcastic. After waiting for twenty minutes, I was informed they were out of the items I requested. No postage present to inform customers before hand of the being out of certain toppings. Awful experience!!!

This is a great black-owned dessert spot that has delicious funnel cakes that come in all sizes. If you're craving a funnel cake and don't want to hit the state fair or food truck rodeo, this is definitely the place for you. I'm so happy they have mini sizes now so that you have the option to not overdo it with a large. Their crazy lemonades come in a bunch of different flavors and they are very flavorful too.

Delicious funnel cakes & lemonade. A great spot for dessert after a wonder dinner date night with your significant other or family I give this place a 10/10 I love the fresh fruit & nice funnel cake batter.Check them out if you are ever visiting or just in the area of NC ‍

Great experience, tasty treats, and everything was correct. It was well worth the wait! We meant to take a photo but by the time we realized we missed it, our plates were cleared. Can't wait to go back and try other flavor combos!
