"By far one of the best craft cocktail bars on my go-to list for 2023. The bartender quickly noticed us and cleared our table as people left.I felt an exclusive hidden gem vibe. Very small and intimate. Extremely fitting for the spaces I enjoy. Foundation is tucked away downstairs in a basement-like space. Very easy to overlook. We dropped in for a nightcap. I ordered The Eastside as the bartender suggested. Very good. The bartenders are top-tier and highly experienced. All around good drinks and laid back atmosphere where I enjoyed being in the moment, so much so that I forgot to snap a photo of the menu. It appeared to change, as there were many specialty craft cocktail options. I look forward to coming back soon."
"We swung by Lime & Lemon for our dinner and I was very impressed. The food is tooooo delicious. We tried the pani puri, idli Sambar, plain dosa, basil and mint naan, garlic naan, chapati and mango and lime paneer curry. I can't believe a mango and lime curry would impress me so much. Not surprised that it is the restaurant's signature dish. The basil and mint naan was a flavor combo that was out of this world. This naan with the mango and lime paneer curry tasted divine. The ambience is very simple. The server was very sweet and friendly and offered us free rice kheer and pistachio kulfi because he messed up our order. Overall, great food and a nice lowkey place when you want to grab some casual dinner."

Visit Restaurant Page"My friend suggested Cape Fear Seafood Company and I'm so glad she did!! Cape Fear is bright and welcoming, almost like a you are transported to Maine. The dress code is casual but I'd say it's best to dress in more business casual (think khakis, polo shirts, summer dresses, that sort of thing...I call it "Hamptons style" if anything). McKayla (?) was our waitress and was phenomenal! One of the best waitresses ever! We were also greeted by the manager as well. Great service all around. I may have ordered too much but it all looked good. The Clam Chowder was delicious and tasted like it has a little Tabasco in it (not spicy). I also ordered the lavender cocktail and though it is very small, it was delightful. I also ordered the Calabash Whole Boat with a side of risotto. Everything was outstanding and the seafood was fresh. I will be back for more!"
"When you walk into the restaurant the first impression is, there is lots of decorative details. They have an alter and decor for Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, the celebration of life and death. There are Latin celebrities on walls, Mexican decorations that entertain you as you wait for a server to take your order. The food is as detailed as the decor. I had the best plantains ever. The guacamole was very different, not bad, but surprisingly different. The street tacos had developed authentic taste. Everything was good, except our server. She could be a bit more curtious.Since I have had worse servers and much worse food, I will just hope she was having a bad day. Will I be back? You betcha!"
"This a new location. Here in nightdale. My daughter ordered the pineapple ball and I just ordered a regular ball. The food was fresh flavourful.Delicious all the staff were super friendly. The speed of service was excellent and the overall cost point was pretty much in line.I hope this place makes up"
"We had heard good things about whiskey kitchen from locals and decided to check it out while we were in town. They have a large outdoor seating area and inside they have great seating including bar seating. For entrées we started with the boiled peanuts, which we really enjoyed and thought that the pickled pepper was a nice addition to it. I had the fried chicken sandwich with potato salad. Chicken was nice and crunchy love the soft bun that was on And even loved thebutter pickles. The potato salad was a perfect ball of rustic and traditional, but with a few little surprises. Very much what I was expecting and wanting. My husband opted for the barbecue pulled pork sandwich with the collard greens. The pork had really good flavor to it. He enjoyed the sauce, but could use a little more pork as there was still a good amount of bread when he got down to the end of his sandwich. We were told that Tuesday Thursday and Saturday were the best days to come because the collard greens were made by I believe her name is Miss. Mary. The greens had a sweet and spicy kick to them but we enjoyed them. They have multiple different whiskeys and bourbons on tap. I chose to stick with something. I knew the Jeffersons ocean voyage which came out to be around $17. My husband opted for the Penelope artifact which was around $14. One thing I would encourage others to consider is the prices of the pores are reflective of the fact that all of the liquor is state run. So you see that reflected in many of the prices Because bottles are so scarce"
"We had a good time at The Velvet Hippo in downtown Durham. This is a new, hip bar and lounge that opened a month ago (August 5, 2023) on the third floor of the 119 Orange Street building. It's very close to city hall and adjacent to the Chapel Hill Street Parking Garage (convenient, but potentially crowded parking).TL;DR version - The drinks were delicious and this place had a fun vibe. It's got a dog-friendly rooftop bar and overall, it's worth checking out.During our visit, a sign outside on the sidewalk said dogs welcome Saturday and Sunday, 12-6pm.We showed up around 7:30pm on a Saturday and there was no line to get in. They checked IDs at the door (21+ only). We left around 10:30pm and there was a long line, down at least 2-3 sets of stairs, to get in. There was definitely a buzz about this place. We found out about this place from our friend who discovered it on Instagram. The rooftop deck was already completely full by the time we arrived and, unsurprisingly, it stayed that way for the entire time we were there. There was plenty of space inside when we arrived, but it quickly filled up. Hence, the line to get in when we left. This isn't a huge place, but it's not small either. There are a handful of areas to sit and stand (a small variety). The Velvet Hippo serves food and drink, though everything is ordered at the bar. No table service. The food is light bites and small plates. The bartenders were at 100% utilization the entire time we were there. As the night wore on, we found it much easier and faster to get drinks by ordering them from the outside bar. Same bartenders, same bar. It's an indoor-outdoor bar. It really depends on which side is busier during your visit. Here's what we got:Signature Cocktails:* Ursula, Queen of Atlantica ($12) - Empress 1908 Gin, lavender simple syrup, sparkling wine, fresh lemon, glitter* The Garter Belt ($14) - Hendrick's Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, muddled cucumber, three dashes Bittermens Burlesque Bitters, grapefruit, mint* Hot Girl Summer ($14) - Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila, watermelon, Gran Gala Triple Orange Liqueur, habanero syrup, lime, and salt half rim* Maui Mahalo ($16) - Plantation Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum, Appleton Estate 12-Year-Old Rare Casks, pineapple, lime, OJ, housemade cream of coconut, kiwi, Crude 'Tropi-500" Bitters (Toasted Coconut-Pineapple-Allspice), Bittermens 'Elemakule Tiki Bitters, crushed ice, saline mist, grated nutmeg* Cheetahs Do It in the Dark ($15) - Teremana Anejo Tequila, Licor 43, Cantera Negra, espresso, orange twist, Maldon saltHanger Management:* Elote Dip ($10) - with Oaxaca cheese, cilantro, and tajin-dusted tortilla chipsIn general, the drinks were good-quality and tasty. They weren't too sweet and were well-balanced, flavor-wise. My favorites were The Garter Belt and the Maui Mahalo. Both were fruity and refreshing, as well as subtly complex. My wife, who loves espresso martinis (she almost always orders them, if available, when going out for drinks at night), liked Cheetahs Do It in the Dark, which is The Velvet Hippo's version. It's made with tequila instead of vodka. It was actually made with The Rock's small-batch tequila brand, Teremana. The chips and corn dip were very good. High-quality and flavorful, like an appetizer you'd expect to find at a solid restaurant.Self-serve cups/glasses and room-temp water were available from a tap by the patio door, inside. The bouncer was very nice.We parked for free in the aforementioned adjacent Chapel Hill Street Parking Garage at 326 E Chapel Hill St. It was full at the time of our visit. Cars were circling around the various levels of the deck looking for spots. At the time of writing this review, it costs $2.25 per hour to park here, Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm. Otherwise, it's free (gate arms will be up)."
"Very cool downtown Raleigh bar. Hip, urban vibe, but more upscale than hipster. Decor is interesting...the kind of place where you look at something, and then look closer and it looks different. They sell homemade tamales for about $5.00. Otherwise no food.Bring quarters so you can get something out of the art vending machine. The bar doesn't always have change."
"After hearing many positive reviews about the pizza, I finally made it in for lunch.Great location with plenty of parking. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. Stopped in for lunch and didn't realize they don't offer individual slices, so naturally I had to order a pizza for myself:)I ordered the Margherita pizza, it's cooked in their wood oven and was flavorful. Can't wait to try other menu items. Nice and small intimate pizzeria in the heart of Cary."
"Tried the Gatsby's food truck that was located outside of their restaurant. 3/5 stars based on portion size and flavor. Both for $15 each. I think the price could be better for what is being served."
"Five stars for the customer service. Me and my sister arrived at 4pm on a Tuesday knowing the rest of our party wouldn't arrive until 6. We sat at the bar and had delicious drinks. We tried the pork belly and empanadas. Let me tell you if I had only eaten the pork belly I probably would have given five stars. It's easily the best thing on the menu. Next is the rotisserie chicken. Honestly everything else was good enough to include which should be a given at a Peruvian place: the rice and beans. Just okay. But I love this place for Goldsboro...adding diversity to the cuisine scene. Not mad at it at all."
"I've had two really wonderful dinners at G58. The ambiance here is definitely upscale, so I would dress up accordingly. The service has been spot on, super friendly, and helpful. On my most recent visit I went with a larger group so we were able to try a great variety. First off the Peking duck is delicious. You have to call them or note you your reservation that you would like the duck. The skin was so crispy and I loved the fresh pancakes and elevated sauces. Dipping the crispy skin in sugar was not something I've tried before. Our server helped us navigate the menu a bit. We ended up getting their filet and two types of fishes to share to share for entrees. The fish that they boil in hot oil was amazing. It didn't have a super enticing description on the menu, but our server let us know that it wasn't crazy spicy and was perfect for sharing. It held true to his promises! The filet also melted in your mouth and the table loved the beef dumplings as appetizers. I also love that they bring out a little red velvet cake with a candle if you are there for a celebration. Just a nice little touch!"

Such a cool hidden gem! This bar is built in the basement, and gives a dark and moody private setting as soon as you enter. To find it, look for the red neon sign at ground level + take the steps down! The exposed brick gives it a very speakeasy vibe and the drinks do not disappoint. They are known for their Old Fashioned but they also have a unique variety of craft cocktails! TIP: arrive early on the weekends because there will be a line or be prepared to wait! (But it's worth it)

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Chapel Hill and Durham! The mocktail menu is fantastic- I love the Indian Mule! i got the baby corn appetizer, which was sweet and crunchy and delicious. Then I love getting the mango lime curry for my main. The ambiance is really cute- it was date night so we were happy to snag a cute and quiet booth. The service is always wonderful- from when we walk in the door to leave at the end of the evening. So good!

This was my first time eating at a Cape Fear Seafood. This was a spur of the moment decision and it was a good one. The dining facility was impeccably clean. Our server, Alex C, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The freshness and quality of the food exceeded my expectations. I had the clam chowder and shrimp and grits. The shrimp was very clean tasting, with no metallic tri-poly-phosphate flavor. My mother had the fish and chips, which was an enormous portion. Easily could be a shared plate, and my daughter had the shrimp scampi, which was noted as best she's ever had. Kudos to the CFS team.

Pretty solid Mexican restaurant, and a "must try" I hear from the Mebane locals. The food was above average for the most part. Menu was good and extensive, while having a few extra items and ingredients you normally do not see at your other typical Mexican establishments. The birria tacos were full of flavor and full of meat, only downfall is that it was super greasy often I had to use several napkins to eat. The guacamole was good though needed some lime, and I did not like how it came with chips already in your guacamole. Another item that could have been executed better was the elote (street corn). I was looking forward to this side the most but lacked any cotija cheese and just covered in butter and a small dash of Tajin. Outside of the execution of some dishes, this restaurant is pretty good and I'd recommend. The flavors were there and the service was great.

Stumbled upon this great new addition to Knightdale's food scene. As a Californian I am soooo picky when it comes to authentic Mexican dishes and flavors. I have to say I was impressed and will definitely be back.We ordered a few menu items. The quesadilla Al pastor was delicious! The flavors were on point. I ordered a carne asada sope and it reminded me of Ca taqueria food and finally we order steak fries with rice and bean on the side - a staple in Ca! I enjoyed their salsas. I ordered a watermelon Margarita and hands down the next margarita I have tried in the triangle. They use fresh juices!!! This is a new restaurant, nice and clean plus the decor is great. Service was quick, staff as friendly and the food was fantastic. The offer indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

We were in town for Dreamville and wanted to grab lunch before we headed to a day party and Whiskey Kitchen was in walking distance from our hotel. We promptly greeted and seated and our server was at our table swiftly to welcome us and to offer us water as we looked over the menu.We opted for a couple of their Daily Lunch Specials and couldn't pass up trying the cracklin' biscuits since it was something we've never heard of or eaten. My BFF who literally hasn't eaten pork in yeeeaaarrrrssss couldn't pass up trying them when they hit the table because they look absolutely irresistible and the taste ... 10 out of 10! I would come back to Raleigh just for those biscuits! I had the steak sandwich for my entree which was flank steak with chimichurri on a toasted freshly baked roll and a side of collards ... both were AMAZINGLY flavorful and hit the spot on everything you'd want in a sandwich. I also tried some of my friend's potato salad and it was slamming as well! We cannot say one single negative thing about Whiskey Kitchen and recommend it should you be in Downtown Raleigh.

I visited the velvet hippo this past weekend on Friday evening. I had a difficult time navigating my way to Orange street which is the popular alley way street next to the parking garage. Upon arrival, the security guard informed my friend and I that we just made it in time as the " last two". I had no idea what he was talking about as it was not yet 9:30 p.m. He lacked decency and displayed poor manners as the face of the establishment. I ran into this same staff member again and he was a very strange character. The zoo animal/ safari earth tone theme is consistent throughout the venue. Well done with decor. Lighting is soft and the light fixtures are unique. We found a table near the bar and were happy when a waitress provided table service. It was a humid night so we decided on mules. I had a Kentucky mule with Uncle Nearest bourbon. While my drink packed the bourbon there was way too much ice in the mule cup. Filled to the brim. This place was packed. I expect that weekends are always going to bring high traffic and crowds. This lounge features a rooftop equipped with heaters and dogs are allowed during certain hours. The rooftop was also packed but we were able to grab 2 seats overlooking the garbage area and side entrance of the lot. This place may be more enjoyed on a weekday evening.

Love this cozy neighborhood bar! It's our favorite spot for a drink because the bartenders are so nice and make a great drink. I love the dark witchy decor and fun art. They have cozy couches and outdoor tables on the sidewalk. They're also open almost every night which is so convenient for a random weeknight drinkThey have cheap and delicious tamales that are homemade too! Hidden In the back is a small tequila lounge with about 5 seating areas
Visit Restaurant Page"I stopped into Farina for a quick lunch while I was visiting the Lafayette shopping center. I heard Farina makes their pasta in house, I thought Gnocchi was the perfect dish to try! The gnocchi were soft and fluffy pillows of goodness. The marinara was perfect combo of acidity and sweet. The only thing I wasn't sure about was whether they used the square slices of mozzarella melted on top, rather than fresh Buffalo mozzarella. Either way, the food was great... I will definitely be back when in the area!"
"I think this is a solid place. As a Mexican person I am with you Raleigh in the fact that we don't need another Mexican spot. With that said, I think it's nice to have a community place and I was a big fan of brookside bodega so this is a hard thing for me to say but I do think that this place has potential. The waiter greeted us with water and was so kind. Tacos are $4 each but they are overstuffed with meat. The Al pastor and carne asada tacos were great. The guacamole was solid. Very authentic consistency in their meals. I'm happy to continue to visit this place and give them a shot at this community spot. Lord knows it's better than falafel and co. I'm a fan and hope they do well!"
"I dined at Piper's Tavern in a large group. they have an elevated seating area and that worked well for the group. Service was friendly. I went with the fish and chips. The portion was large but the arrangement on the plate made the chips soggy with the fish on top of the chips. I'd order something else if I return. The fish was good as were the chips not under the fish. It is too bad they weren't put to the side of the plate. We were all shocked when the checks arrived with the extra 3.5% charge for using a credit card. So what happened in most cases is that was taken from the tip to the server."
"The Glass Jug Beer Lab has opened a taproom in Downtown Durham. The spot was really cute, you can sit inside or outside. My husband had a pint of equinox & solstice (a saison) and I did a flight. You get 4 beers in a flight, I chose the opacity (hazy IPA), transparency (American IPA), my friend wilson (NEIPA) and apricot pomegranate pi (sour). My favorite was the opacity. Cheers!"
"Most outstanding experience on the opening day! We were blown away by the food, presentation, ambience and service! The food was beyond delicious and surprisingly very reasonably priced. Keshav, Gaurav and chef Sanjeev are truly great people! Can't wait to try their lunch special tiffin!"
"We heard of this place from a recent Yelp event. We brought our dog and sat outside on the patio. The staff was so kind and even turned on the space heater for us.The food was delicious! The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. My favorite was the fries. It was battered to perfection and flavored just right. The onion rings were just as crispy and well cooked. I loved that you could get free refills with the lemonade and I tried both the blackberry and mango. I think blackberry hit the spot. Definitely a must try spot"
"So it was pretty good. The tacos are 7 dollars a taco. The fried chicken meal is MASSIVE. So many fries, but the sauce that it's baked with is amazing. The beef and broccoli was just okay. I'd come back again but it's a little bit on the pricey side for the quality. Still good though. Nice atmosphere outside as well as inside."
"PBR is a Cowboy style bar located within Sports & Social. They play all different kinds of music not just country. I love the cowboy theme of this bar. It's carried through with gorgeous cow skin seats in the VIP bottle service areas. The staff was very kind and engaged professionally with everyone. They have hired entertaining staff who get bar goers hype dancing throughout the bar and even in the bull pen. The mechanical Bull is definitely a popular attraction here ! We don't have that really anywhere in DT Raleigh. I attended the 90's Throwback Jam and event and it became extremely crowded. Partygoers really packed the venue and it was a movie. Perfect for anyone celebrating a birthday or looking to have a good time while in town. If you like to dance, this is the place for you. There is rooftop seating where you can escape the madness of the dance floor. I like that Sports and Social offers the other 3 floors where you can break away from the crowds and venture off to other levels where you can pace yourself or find your vibe."
"The low-down: The food is always good, it's great entertainment, and time passes by quickly because there is always something in front of you while you wait for the main course. Fun fact: hibachi-style" is often used in the US to refer to what is really teppanyaki cooking. Hibachi grills are small, portable barbecue grills that are made from cast iron. These grills have an open-grate and typically use charcoal versus Teppanyakigrilling is done using an iron griddle with a flat, solid surface and used to prepare food in front of guests. Teppanyaki grills usually use propane as a heat source for cooking. For my sons 13th b day he chose Kanki (as he does most years) as his birthday dinner. Since I've been coming to the Raleigh location over the past several years, I really felt like it has lost some of its appeal. I can't quite point my finger in what it is, but the restaurant just seems run-down and desolate. Walking inside it was crowded for 5 pm on a Thursday night, since we did not make a reservation we had to wait a few minutes before we were seated (party of 6). Even though they say no reservations necessary, I recommend them. Once seated we had to wait an additional 15 min to see if they could fill the two empty chairs at our table w patrons before getting started with the cooking. It's always entertaining to see the culinary cooking and cutting skills of the chefs while they grill chicken, pork, beef and seafood, along side rice and veggies while also putting on a little show of fun antics. The amount of food is always more than adequate. service was adequate. Overall it was a nice experience, as usual, and made even nicer by my family paying for my and my son's meal since our birthdays are so close together!"
"This was a lucky find in my quest for a drink with a view! Awesome rooftop above the AC hotel in the happening strip of Glenwood. It was the perfect place to catch up with my friend on a beautiful sunny Sunday . We had their amazing espresso martinis and took in the view of Raleigh. Great high top tables and sofas . They have food as well. But we were here for the beverages !Great casual chill service. They created a nice laid back vibe here. Super clean inside and outside . Greta Sunday funday spot ! Just take the elevator up !"
"What a cool and eclectic cocktail bar parked away in an non disclosed neighborhood shopping center. When we went by, I thought it was closed because it was so dark. The bar is really cool and they have an extensive menu of Bourbons and Whiskies. They do have specialty cocktails as well as wine and beer on tap. If I remember right the bartender said they have "at cost" bourbon bottle openings on the first Monday of the month, which is pretty neat (no pun intended). It's a nice spot to hangout and grab an after dinner drink. Definitely check them out on Instagram!"
"We were in town for Football Season Tickets and Had been to this location once before but sat in the bar as we did not have reservations, and Yes Reservations are necessary if you want to full experience, although our first visit a few years before was so good we decided to make reservations for this meal, and we were not disappointed. We were sat outside and what a night to sit outside, beautiful and yes the road is right there but we did not notice it at all. We were Served by Ryan who was assisted by Kevin and man these guys were on it, we wanted for nothing including attention, and to top it off Ryan had just moved to the area from Charlotte and had been a server at places we ate there and some we had not and are on our list to visit now, because of him.We started with the amazing White bean crustini's(?), WTH where have I been to have never had this before "ANYWHERE", So good.We had our main course, she ordered the Butter nut squash ravioli and I had the Duck confit as noted in the picture if you like olives it is just amazing and if you do not, still try it...We also had the Bread service, if you find it better anywhere, please DM me and let me know where it is, but this is at the top of my list right now.To finish things off we had the Almond Cake which was just decadent. To experience dining at its best you have to pay for what you are getting and we had the entire package here, Service, Delicious food and a wonderful ambiance."
"Good drinks. $5 Wine Sangrias are a must! Most of the drinks are under $10 including a gin Mexican mule I had the bartender create for me. I enjoyed my Chimichanga entree. Very delicious. Great service here. Very fast service. I enjoyed the food and experience. Various TVs with different games playing are also a plus as something to engage in while dining at the bar."
"I'd recommend La Mala for cocktails and shareables, not if you are are looking for a heavier dinner option. Our table split an order of the guacamole fresco and esquite. For our meals and drinks it was the Tulum Vibes Ceviche with the La Santa then the El Chavo del Ocho (the barrel drink) for me and the Ceviche de la Jefa (Momma's Ceviche) with the La Bichota for my husband. The food was good but we really enjoyed the cocktails."
"Discovering new cocktail bars while traveling is always a must for me. I was recently in Raleigh and found myself wanting to grab a night cap after a long day. Yelp brought me to Killjoy and I was so happy to have discovered it.First of all, the decor is great. There's a large main room with a pretty big bar, as well as a room on the side that has quirky yet welcoming decor.Since it was a weeknight it was pretty empty, but I didn't mind the chill vibes. My bartender was super nice and made a great dirty martini.Their liquor selection seems extensive, and their cocktail menu was impressive too. It's open late, and the drinks are well priced. Would definitely go back."
"I recently went to the merchant for the first time and had an awesome evening. We went on a Tuesday night and it was not very crowded. I wouldn't say you need. I would say you don't need reservations probably unless you're heading it on the weekend I love the vibe of the place in the interior decoration is beautiful. Of course I totally almost walked by when I was trying to find it. Basically it's upstairs from Vergils look for Vergils, and then you'll notice the hostas, and/or the sign/door that takes you upstairs to the merchant. Their cocktail menu is extensive and it's obvious that that's what they pride themselves on. Of course I'm more of a wine drinker so the cocktail list was pretty much wasted on me, but I did try my friends gin, floral cocktail, and it was really quite good. The servers and the bartenders were friendly, and made some great suggestions. For food the small plates did not disappoint. The menu isn't huge, but they had a ton of variety. We started off with a duck wings and they were super tender and flavorful, definitely something I would get again. Honestly, now that I think about it, I would get everything I ordered again. We also got the crispy brussels sprouts, which were great, but the favorite dish of the night was definitely the steak Frites I loved that they were duck fat fries, so delicious, the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was sliced for us and really a great dish for sharing with a small group. This spot is a gem and I look forward to dining and drinking there again."
"Now this is a speakeasy, not so easy to find the door but thanks to a little help it didn't take long to get in. One thing I like about these hidden gems, you they are not typically overcrowded and very personable. They also seem to hit the target on quality in every drink they serve. The Green Light is as comfortable as it gets, and the staff make sure of it. This is definitely a bar that will see us again.Cheers!"
"Relish is one of my favorite area restaurants in the Crabtree-Glenwood Station neighborhood. I have never had a poor experience ever. I finally checked off the brunch experience at their sister cafe/bar, The Kitchen Table. Located conveniently next door to Relish, is KT. I read about the vintage board game experience and wanted to check out brunch for myself. A friend and I visited around noon and we were seated immediately by a nice young gentleman and comfortably inside at a booth towards the bar. I enjoy the vintage-country charm of this cafe. Our waitress arrived to greet us immediately and we decided on the Special Caramel Expresso Martini. These were made perfectly. We then decided on shrimp & grits and the montecristo for entrees. Our entrees came out very quickly. I asked that my waffle be cooked to a crisp and the cook delivered. I do not enjoy soggy waffles. I paired my dish with cheese grits. I felt the dishes were good but nothing blew me away. What I did enjoy the most here were the cocktails !!!!! We had to relocate to the bar due to the air conditioner leaking water over my seat and onto the booth from condensation. This was the best thing to happen to us. Zack is the bartender and he was such a wonderful host. He makes inspiring cocktails and is a mad scientist with his creations as well as a great conversationalist. I wanted to try Elijah Craig bourbon for the first time and he made an Apple Butter Bourbon fizz with delicious ginger, this was excellent!!!! We chatted about the Tepuy donuts that they serve on weekends from the famous Tepuy shop. I look forward to visiting for dinner and more of Zack's creative cocktails. We did not play any games this visit, but I intend to next visit and love that it's an option. The southern hospitality was much appreciated."
"I first learned about Cravin' Confections at a Yelp Elite Event. It is located in the new Wheatfield Shopping Center. It is one of the shops currently open in the shopping center. This shopping center has its own traffic light too so it is easy to get in and out of it.The staff is very friendly here. The space is open with many tables to sit and enjoy what you buy. They offer desserts; cocktails; savory food and even lunches to go although those must be pre-ordered. The focus is on high quality ingredients and from local vendors. After sampling six desserts I knew I needed to buy some to take home with me. I also knew the temperatures would be dropping and that I love hot cocoa when it is chilly out so was excited to see the hot cocoa bombs. Then there were macarons too. I would have preferred that the items to be labeled so I didn't have to ask the flavors. The bakery can be rented out for private parties."
"Absolutely love the vibe at Revival 1869! Place was busy but had no issue finding a seat or getting drinks. Bartenders made some delicious cocktails. Will definitely be back!"
"I'm just going to throw out there that I'm smitten! Nightingale is a beautiful space, with great food (love the gnocchi, pork belly, and cocktail eggs), and great service (thank you Brian and Sarah). The cocktails are tasty to boot. When I heard that my round 1 cocktail choice was batch, I was worried-- but fret not, it was delicious! (Sorry I can't remember the name-- vodka, elderflower, pineapple) Hubs' "Grizzly Bear" was great and my subsequent "Ruby Cup" was magnificent also!Hubs and I stopped by to check out the scene and to see what's what. We were not disappointed in the least. In all honesty, Nightingale made fans out of us. On our visit, we were told that Nightingale was featuring live music on the patio for the first time -- keep that up! It was a welcomed addition to the ambiance and experience. Sarah was so kind to show us around, and the event space is fantastic as well. All that to say-- Nightingale is the kitty's titties and I'll be back soon! Cheers!"
"It's a top chef and date night masterpiece! The food and cocktails are quite tasty. I also love the vibe and music here. This is absolutely where you want to bring a group for dinner and drinks as the aesthetic is phenomenal and the menu more than delivers. The chicken leg, baked provolone, and the conchiglie were all WINNERS, and prices were great. I was pleasantly surprised! Be back real soon as the chitarra is calling my name. Cheers!"
"Staying at nearby hotel, ask the front desk for recommendations of local places to have good drinks and a good meal. My front desk associate asked me if I liked Mexican to which I replied yes! She told me to drive 4 miles up the road to this place and it was completely worth it. I didn't know what to expect, seeing all the people going in mostly in golf outfits. I was dining alone, would have sat at the bar but it was packed so they seated me at the only table available which was a very large table for 10 people. OK by me I'm starving after a long road trip. Started with queso and chips which didn't surprise me when the chips arrived in the same kind of bucket that you get golf balls at a driving range judging by the majority of people who were there. Queso was great. Ordered a peach margarita and I swear it's the best margarita I have ever had anywhere...and I have dined at Mexican places all over the country. For dinner I had some kind of shrimp and chicken with pineapple that came with sweet plantains. I wasn't that hungry and didn't think I'd finish it but it was so delicious I ate it all with the exception of a couple pieces of banana. My waiter could not have been nicer. The atmosphere was fiesta festive and fun. I don't know if I will ever be back to this area again but if I am, definitely coming back to dinner here, hopefully next time with family or friends. Take a chance on this spot. you may have to wait for a while but I promise you it's worth it. They also have an outdoor area to dine, but it was hot so I wanted the air conditioning and the music"
