"Omg everyone. Eden's Vegan restaurant is a hidden gem in the south! My husband and I happened to stumble upon it while down in Garner on a Sunday and I am SO GLAD we did. We aren't vegetarians or vegan but we do love food. At first I saw on the door you needed reservations but the owner ushered us in no problem. They are taking COVID precautions seriously (yes, still, in 2023). Do not be alarmed by this. You can still dine in no problemo! There were so many yummy options and it's done buffet style. I loved the fake Salisbury steak (better than the meat stuff I've had for sure). The Mac and "cheese" was also amazing. Included were drinks and desserts. I loved every single thing on both of our plates and I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend if you are vegetarian or vegan or just like food. There's a Facebook where every week they let you know the menu for the following week."
"I know these folks are primarily caterers, but my experience with them has been with the Cleanse Diet they seem to be offering around once a month. I've only done it once (based on the recommendation from a co-worker who did it the month before with her husband), and really liked it! It was a five day program that included three meals a day, snacks and three Humdinger juices per day. The food parts were all fresh ingredients, devoid of sugar, gluten and dairy. First thing in the morning was a green Balance Humdinger juice usually followed by their home-made granola bar. Lunch was something yummy like fish tacos, or a Mexican salad, maybe quinoa with roasted veggies. Dinners were equally yummy with things like roasted turkey, Lebanese chicken skewers. One of my favorite things all week was a spicy Thai watermelon soup. And I loved every salad dressing so much that at the end of the program, I ordered some of their dressings. Everything was so fresh and flavorful...no wimpy spices! I swore that if I won the lottery I would come try to hire their chef away from them. If this diet type food is any indication of what their catering is like, well, I'm thinking they have to be good! TIP: Not only can you purchase the Humdinger juices here, but they have a freezer case full of casseroles, soups, chili, etc. that you can buy and take home for your family or for entertaining. I bought some vegetable soup and it was quite good. Plus they have a refrigerated case of nice-looking salads and such. They also told me that sometime in the near future, they are planning on offering some of the diet-type food for sale on a daily basis. I'm looking forward to being able to grab a healthy tasty salad or entree like the ones I enjoyed during their Cleanse Diet."
"I actually first found Green Planet thru my job which used them to cater a breakfast event. The food was amazing and my boss said that Jayme and all the staff were a pleasure to work with, so I thought that I would get a quote for my wedding. Their quote was slightly less than other caterers I met with and they were very helpful with working with our budget and making changes to the menu over time. I really appreciated their environmentally friendly practices and everyone raved about how delicious the food was! One of our guests just ate an entire plate of macaroni and cheese because it was so good. Their food tastes great and they are helping the planet-- it doesn't get much better than that!"
"Not only is catering offered but an eatery in mom & pop style of good old fashioned southern soul food dishes. My husband & I have dined here for lunch but this time the gathering for birthday celebration. A smaller footprint - the gathering but a cozy space -about 60 people & space was tight but comfortable. The place is clean with very strict food handling a preparation. The food was fresh - serving Fried & Baked Chicken fried fish rice & gravy string beans candied yams slaw -plus honey bun cake tea punch & water. During regular operating hours- ribs neck bones collards beans etc available almost every day. The location is about 8 miles from I85 exit Dabney drive exit -Henderson NC - also close to the Raleigh NC road. This is a small owner business- not frilly or fancy but good old fashioned favorites!!!"
"I had my wedding ceremony and reception here and our first lunch as a married couple the next day. The staff is fabulous! They made our event beautiful and stress free (and that's a bride's point of view!) every detail was perfect and food and drinks were fantastic. I can't say enough good things about The Great Room... If you are having a party or just want to grab a bite to eat in Chapel Hill, The Great Room at the Top of the Hill is the place to go!!"
"Donovan's Dish is fantastic. Think of a meal delivery service except this is a local option that is already prepared and you just have to thaw it and throw it into the oven. My favorites so far have been the black bean & sweet potato enchiladas, meat lasagna, boneless beef braised short ribs and and pimento cheese stuffed chicken. This company delivers but you can also pick it up fresh or frozen. I can't wait to try more entrees."
"Omg, the food. I can't think of a better description. If you need a caterer whose food might just make you want to hire them to cook for you permanently, Posh Nosh could be it. My review is based only on observation of the catering itself and the food the caterer made on-site. Over the holidays I had the fortune of attending small dinner parties catered by Posh Nosh. Both times there was a person from the caterer in the kitchen preparing the food while the guests stood around, chatted and watched. Despite having to dodge guests looking over his shoulder, each chef kept his composure, pleasant demeanor, and willingness to answer the endless questions. A big plus for the hosts and hostesses: As the chef worked, he cleaned up after himself and us, even picking up stray plates and putting them out of sight. The food was incredible. Although there are several menu items, both hosts picked similar options. The portobello mushroom dumplings with the ever so slight hint of hot pepper in the sauce was excellent. While the chicken and the beef tenderloin were being kept warm in the oven, we watched the chef make the warm spinach salad with the roasted garlic, pepper, and spices, and tried to figure out how he knew when to add a pinch of this or that and the order in which he did it. The fresh green beans were prepared exactly right, again before our curious eyes, with their crunch and delicate flavor intact. The chicken and beef were cut in small enough slices so as to allow everyone to have a couple of slices without feeling guilty. Both were so tender you barely needed a knife. The desserts, a fruit torte, and a bittersweet chocolate and salted carmel ganache, were both a perfect counterbalance. I wish I had written down the ingredients for both as he was describing them to me. I have no idea if all the food prepared by Posh Nosh is this good, or if all their caterers are as pleasant and as service-oriented as the two from my experiences, but if they are a reasonable representation, then I'll definitely start here when I need a caterer."
"You got to check in via Yelp to get 20% off your first order. I think I was the first one to use it since the friendly cashier didn't know how to honor it, she ended up saying she'll just give me the discount though she thought a QR code needed to be scanned. This place is one of many stalls within a building. The ambiance of the entire place was hip, trendy, lively on a Sunday noon. Ordered 5 kinds of empanadas to go: carne, Jamon y queso (ham and cheese), kale and mushroom, pollo (chicken) and Al limon (with lemon). You can pick to get chimichurri or habanero sauce, I got the former. I had to wait for 3 hours when I got back home to VA Beach before I could try these empanadas but boy, they were worth the long drive! Every flavor was delicious! Love the chimichurri sauce! Packaging for to go was in a box made of egg carton material, kept them warm!"
"I dont give 5 stars too often. This spot is a treat. The dining is set inside a cool garden center. The owner is super friendly who runs a great operation and passionate about being the best. He makes you feel welcome and in genuinely grateful for your business. They are famous for their pickled carrots."
"Absolutely the BEST charcuterie and graze boards, hands down! I've ordered 4-5 times now, and I'm always blown away by the care in the selection of cheeses, meats, and other accompaniments, and how absolutely beautiful the layout is. Tiana takes the time to put things near each other that pair well - like certain fruits next to certain cheeses - so that you're eating intuitively even if some of the items are new to you. Plus she takes careful consideration of allergies and likes/dislikes to personalize your board, and she even makes themed boards for holidays or your own personal function! I ordered an Easter board this year and it was SO dang cute... the Brie had bunny ears! I really can't say enough wonderful things about how amazing these boards are."
"Came here in a Sunday afternoon for some ice cream and it was a wonderful experience! Very clean shop with fresh toppings and thick and creamy ice cream full of flavor. They had dairy free, coconut and salted caramel flavors. Staff is friendly and helpful."
"Went here for dessert. I was too full, but wanted to try this place. They are nationally known. There was so many flavors! I was in heaven and everything I sampled was good! I decided to get the Rose Pistachio and it was delicious!!! There was a long line but it went by fast. There were seating inside and outside. Also you are able to take a pint of the ice cream, some come prepared with a cooler and ice!! So if you're in the area, stop by and give it a try!!!!!"

I finally got to try Eden's Vegan while the food truck was in my neighborhood. I wanted to try other things but I couldn't get clear feedback on the ingredients. The male in the truck was a bit vague (seemed in a rush or not willing to share) I do understand as mentioned that most things were made with soy excluding the bread and cake I purchased, so I finalized my purchase without buying anything outside of desserts. I would have liked a more details on the preparation of the other items. The pumpkin bread and the zucchini cake were delicious. My Mom even enjoyed the zucchini cake and she's not a fan of zucchini and didn't know it was vegan. Very satisfying.

If I am having a wedding or a special event who comes to mind when I need a caterer for the event? I know! I'll call LadyFingers. They are local and they can do all kinds of catering. If you pop up at their shoppe they do have some food for sale to the general public. Already for you to pop into the stove and serve to you family as if you cooked it from scratch. They do have vegetarian dishes available. On this visit I picked up "Brunswick Stew", "vegetable lasagna", "sausage, chicken & wild rice dish" and the hot seller "hot chicken salad." But hey do have many other wonderful dishes to enjoy.Keep in mind that they are only open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.Food BStaff BDecor N/ALocation CHealth Inspection Grade 97.0

What a fabulous company, and team of "foodies"! I've used Green Planet for nearly 10 business events, ranging from very casual to very formal and they have outdone themselves every time! With a knack for selecting just the right menu items, flexibility to modify the menu to meet my budget, prompt and efficient setup and breakdown, and, most importantly DELICIOUS food, Green Planet is my first choice every time!

I love the Great Room. We have hosted two Bat Mitzvahs at this venue over the past three years - and could not be happier with the venue, staff, food and how the evening was executed both time. The staff help me plan a fabulous celebration for my daughter and my family. They listed to her, made specials dishes for her, and decorated the space with her name and carried out the theme impeccably. I can not say enough about Danielle, Dillon and the rest of the staff. The quality of the food -- amazing fried chicken, beef tips and salmon to great drinks from the bar. everything runs smoothly and I am able to just enjoy the night and my guests. I have recommended the Great Room several times, and will continue doing so. Well done Danielle!

Like most everyone else, I'm not going anywhere or spending much money, so the time was right to support this local catering and delivery business. Their site is very specific about the steps they're taking to stay safe, and they have no-touch delivery. I ordered Mac and Cheese, Shrimp and Grits, and the brussels sprouts. The prices are higher than if I cooked at home, but lower than if I ordered at a restaurant (and I've never been able to make a decent Shrimp and Grits at home!). Make sure you have room in your freezer! They text you on the day of delivery to let you know when to expect your food. They changed the delivery window three times in about two hours, but my food arrived when they finally said it would. The driver wore gloves, knocked and left the food on the porch while I waved through the window. The Mac and Cheese remains in my freezer, but the Shrimp and Grits was loaded with shrimp and quite tasty. I also enjoyed the brussels sprouts. Portions are good, though not huge (except for the brussels), and each dish has reheating instructions on its lid. Because of the variety of entrees, Donovan's Dish is a great choice for something different for delivery.

Perhaps the Fat Radish of Raleigh and the Triangle. I hired these guys at the last minute to cater a small party of 15 people. They were extremely professional and worked to come up with a menu and approach that worked for the occasion and for the space (i.e., my cramped house). The food was stunning--fresh, local, and innovative. And affordable. Plus something for the carnivores and vegetarians. We were lucky to have the chef come himself (in fact he did it all himself--cooked, arranged, and set out the food). Was particularly impressed that he set up a fry station (for the calamari) on our side porch and found a way to cook the steak despite the fact that our oven was on the fritz. Service was polished, professional, attentive, and smooth. A big thumbs up. Would recommend Posh Nosh for big or small parties.

I ordered 2 surprise bags of empanadas through the too good to go app. They are located inside transfer food hall and had them ready for pickup when I arrived and checked in. I wasn't sure if they were going to be hot, cold, or frozen. They were cold and I assume from whatever didn't sell the day before. Pretty good but disappointed we didn't get any sweet goodies. I really enjoyed the mushroom one (my husband didn't) and my husband and I both liked the sweet beef/sweet meat? There was an awesome spicy pepper and meat filled one we both loved and a sweet meatball one which was great as well. My daughter really enjoyed the spinach and cheese one.
Visit Restaurant Page"Though I haven't been to their on-site location, I have worked with the Picnic Basket on a handful of occasions; these were for catered functions at a previous job. I first met Eric (if memory serves me!) when he stormed the office to introduce himself to the event planner/coffee-orderer (raises hand: yes, I was that minion). He's the marketing/general go-to guy at the Picnic Basket. He was talkative, confident, and a little pushy. He really wanted us to try their food. I decided to hard-ball; they company had its annual "cleaning day" coming up. On cleaning day, we purged our offices and then stuffed our bellies, usually with pizza. I asked whether he'd be willing to cater the event gratis. He seemed a little daunted when I told him it would need to be full lunch for 50+ employees, but finally agreed. They didn't disappoint. Eric himself showed up ahead-of-time to deliver and set up an assortment of sandwiches, a bowl of pasta salad, another of fresh fruit, etc. He also brought plates, napkins, and silverware. I was impressed at the amount of food and the care he took in setting up, considering they weren't making a dime off of us that day. The level of service encouraged me to add The Picnic Basket to the list of caterers that I rotated through. I used to fax my order in, but they now offer the convenience of ordering online! The food is fresh, though certainly not gourmet. I'd definitely recommend them for casual get-togethers."
"I love Meat and Graze! Whenever I'm craving a good charcuterie board, they're my go-to. The owners are so nice and amazing. They have lunch options with different cheeses and fruits, and it's delicious. I recently bought a board from them for a charcuterie party I was attending, and it was a huge hit!"
"Food Truck Time: El Jefecito at TapLine GrowlerThese tacos are delicious! Tacos are $3.50 each or 3 for $10. We tried the steak, hash, chorizo, cauliflower and fish. All of these were so tasty, I couldn't pick a favorite. I can't wait to try this food truck again soon."
"Our company has been using Catering Works for YEARS. I am not the one who orders, but have been the happy recipient of a variety of their offerings. Favorites for me are their crab dip and their corn dip...YUM. From sandwiches to full turkey and ham holiday dinners, they have always delivered taste and quality for our company."
"If you are looking for some good down home cooking, there are two great places located right near NCCU and this is one of them.. The chicken here and the greens are very good, and of course George is always fun to talk to.....Definitely a place I would recommend...."
"It was a rainy day, but needing to run a couple of errands in the area, I stopped in. I'm a big fan of their chicken and turkey, but I decided to go a little different direction. The Not Sloppy Joe stood out since it has 3 meats: pulled pork, pulled ribs, and brisket. They chop the meats up, so they have the consistency of a sloppy joe. Then they mix that in a unique BBQ sauce, that was called chipotle peach, but I got a lot more of the heat than the sweet. Then crispy onions and pickle slices finish it off. The toasted bun was just strong enough to not completely fall apart, but the battle was serious for a while. The baked beans are pretty good, maybe a bit saucy for my taste, but I like that they add brisket! I also liked that the mac has several cheeses. I added a little firecracker sauce to it and it works if you like some heat! The restaurant was kept pretty clean during a busy lunch rush, and that's not always easy to do. I also like the large vats of unsweet tea, sweet tea, and lemonade and the variety of BBQ sauces to choose from."
"I checked out L'Arepa on ,my lunch break when they had a stand open for the Raleigh Bluegrass Festival. Now my bar for Arepas is pretty high. This is because I have visited Guasaca in Raleigh/Durham a few times and indulged in their stupendous arepa creations. I ordered one chicken and one beef arepa. They were both $8 a piece (quite pricey for what you get).Eating an arepa at Guasaca must be like listening to music for the first time and that music is the Beatles or Mozart, then comparing the rest of the music you hear to what you heard the first time. In other words...after consuming Guasaca arepas the offerings at L'Arepa simply didn't measure up. I thought they were bland and really nothing else other than meat and cheese inside a pocket. I know the Gluten Free option will appeal to some, but for me, the arepas here were a let down."
"We heard this place is awesome and it is! My friend is visiting from out of town so we met for lunch. Everyone is very friendly. We each ordered a salad sampler. Mine had potato, macaroni, and chicken salads plus pimento cheese (which has an up charge). All of them were delicious! We also ordered apple crisp and cheesecake. I would prefer to have apple pie but it was good. The cheesecake was yummy.I would definitely go back! Just a warning: it gets very busy!"
"We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine:Parking: 5Location: 4Decor/ambiance: 5Customer Service: 5Yummmmmy yummmm cupcakes! Love SmallCakes as a chain but i really like this location. Its the same great cakes but something is a little special here. They have the sweetest little lady working inside that works the shop. I've been twice now and have yet to grab her name. She always makes the visit pleasant and she goes above and beyond to make sure all customers are welcomed! In regards to the cupcakes, they are great! Nice sized cakes for the price and they always have super awesome flavors to pick from."
"Tom, Lisa, and the entire Southern Harvest Team truly treated us like family from the moment we met them and constantly went above and beyond to make sure every single aspect of our wedding menu was perfectly tailored to our vision and budget. Tom arranged for us to attend MULTIPLE private tastings and was extremely helpful in offering up suggestions about what kinds of dishes/setup would work best for our venue and guest count. With his help, we selected a southern/local menu that guests absolutely RAVED about. On the day of the wedding, the entire Southern Harvest team treated my partner and I like royalty, frequently checking on us to make sure we had drinks and food and making sure that we were being completely taken care of. They even personally served us at the beginning of dinner so we wouldn't have to go through the buffet line and packaged up to-go boxes for us so we'd have dinner for the next day. Several guests remarked on the Southern Harvest team's warmth and hospitality, so I know our guests were also treated to an evening of amazing service. By choosing to work with Southern Harvest, we literally saved THOUSANDS of dollars (compared to what we would have spent if we had gone with one of the bigger catering companies in the triangle area), but the quality AND presentation of food, service, and professionalism could not have been topped. It was such an honor to have a catering team who made us feel so cared for and celebrated. Seriously, hire these folks! Our wedding day was made so special because we did!"
"Love Amy; her background, commitment to hard work and perseverance. As a personal chef who only does smaller caterings, Amy and staff are my send too for larger events.Chef Zacki"
"Matt's food is AMAZING! We've ordered for a catered party two years in a row. The food and service has been perfect. We really like that he has a lot of options for vegetarians, gluten-free and dairy-free. Ask him for extra harissa - it's mind blowing!!!"
"Enjoyed this place a lot tonight. Stopped in here while visiting my grandad from out of town. I love North Carolina style barbecue and this place was great. The pulled pork and chicken was delicious. Also the hush puppies were awesome. We will definitely visit here again in the future."
"Tried Roma Rican today and was amazed! The food was fresh, hot, and amazing! The beef empandas were on point, and the potato kinish was great!!!! Both were not greasy at all, give em a follow and try them out, you won't be disappointed!!"
"We hosted our son's reheasal dinner in Durham last weekend. Maggie Radzwiller and her crew performed a flawless experience for us and all of our almost 100 guests. Pefect menu, seamless service, and an nonstop can-do attitude made it one of the best nights of our life. All her menu ideas, wine selection, and room set up were exceptional. We would highly recommend Maggie and her crew for any special event."
"Cute spot in Bailey of all places. Wine list pairs well.Fa venire l'acquolina in bocca!"
"I stumbled upon this food truck at a grand opening event at Black Bright. This visit was my first time trying El Salvador Pupusas. Oh my goodness, what a burst of flavor and comfort in every bite. I ordered the Chicken and the queso, which was a 5 out of 5 taste. Keep in mind, I don't have anything to compare this to, but so far - the best-tasting new food/flavor experience for a food truck experience. The service here was approachable and polite. Fell a bit short in explaining the preparation to me as I had many questions because I wasn't familiar with the food. It was only $5. There wouldn't have been a huge loss if I disliked the Pupusas. I loved it!"
"A hidden gem in the area with super yummy food. While the wait was roughly 45 mins it was completely worth it. The chicken was cooked to perfection & the Cole slaw reminded me of back home (252) The cornbread wasn't anything to write home about but it also wasn't bad. The highlight of my visit was the low and slow queso."
"I decided to try this place out since our church has used them multiple times to do box lunches for some of our meetings. I got the fish sandwich and slaw. It was pretty good. I'd like to try some other things on their menu."
"The restaurant is located on a small shopping center across from the Hyatt Place hotel near the airport. There was plenty of free parking and lots of tables outside. The inside is small with only 4 tables and a bar. They have some desserts and pastries for sale. I ordered El Kiosko, a plate with rice and beans, salad with vinaigrette, and 2 delicious empanadas. I also got the small bowl of bean soup. It was a lot of food for 1 person, so I saved the rest for later. My food was very good. I would love to try additional flavors of empanadas and their desserts and pastries."
"Rocky Top Catering has always delivered on top notch customer service for the variety of events we've hosted. I've worked with Jeff Besselman for all of my events and he is just that type of person who "gets it" and gets it done without a hassle and extremely timely. They've catered events for us from 20 people to 1,200 people; the service, food quality and presentation is always top notch, you definitely get what you pay for."
"14 of us showed up right at opening on a Saturday. Even though the weather was beautiful, the parade we were supposed to be at was rained out. So... early lunch and some drinks. The woman who was working was working hard, making sure our food was coming out, drinks were taken care of. While there was a little bit of a wait, it was nothing that was upsetting... because... 14 people. A good local place, and if you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. If you're looking for really good food, this is the place. They even have a food truck, if that tells you how legit they are. This place is well worth the experience. Thank you Megan for being so good!!"
"Food Truck Tuesday: this week The Humble Pig. I remember this was the first food truck I tried so I was excited to see that they were coming. On this most recent visit, I decided to change it up with the Pow Wow Tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. These were delish and it was a lot of food! I also recommend the wings and Carolina Fries!"
