"The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and we got a nice booth in the middle. It is clean and nicely decorated. We had hot sake which was good and then sushi for two which was delicious. It was fresh, nice sized pieces, good variety and yummy. The service was great, our waiter was sweet and professional. Great sushi in a great environment. Was reasonably priced too. We didn't use the BOGO but there is for the rolls."

"Solid ramen spot outside Cameron Village. I enjoyed the Iso Iso ramen, which was spicy and flavorful. The husband reported that the Tonkatsu ramen was solid and also enjoyed the cha siu rice bowl. They also offer boba, and while tempting, I was more into indulging in the return of pumpkin spice at the Starbie's nearby.Service was nice and attentive. The only thing I didn't like was the parking situation. They don't have any designated lots; the closest lot is for the Chase bank only. It's also within an apartment complex, and it was unclear whether the parking there allowed for non-residents."

"Food was great. Let's begin with that. Everything tasted amazing. Ambiance was fine. Nothing amazing, but overall clean. We went post gym and didn't feel out of place. Nothing fancy. The service was lacking. The server was almost afraid to talk to us. We waited a long time and when we got our food one of the orders was wrong. We literally had to get up and go find the server twice."

"If you watch a lot of kdramas, you end up craving the foods that they're eating. They tend to show a lot of KFC (Korean fried chicken not Kentucky fried chicken). And I've been craving some KFC anyway since it's been a while so I knew I needed some takeout from Chicken Bee today! Also, it's cold and rainy today so that was also a factor in deciding tonight's dinner. Chicken Bee is my favorite KFC restaurant in Durham!I will say that the chicken isn't as crispy as BonChon's but they are more generous with the sauce. I always order soy garlic wings and sometimes will get the half order of the hot and spicy chicken. I decided to just order both today since I don't have it that often! Leftovers are also a plus for me since I've been too lazy to cook lately. I like to throw them in the toaster oven or air fryer to reheat. The sauces have great flavor and the chicken is juicy and not dry. I also appreciate that the wings are on the bigger side. The hot and spicy is a pretty good spice level for me; it's got good heat and is tolerable. I always get pickled radish as my side.I ordered on doordash for 2 reasons: I didn't feel like driving in the rain and I know parking is very limited there. I do wish they had a better way of packaging the food so it's not as exposed and could be easily tampered with. The middle part of the bag is tied pretty tightly but it's still open because the handles aren't tied together. Also, the box has a small opening that you can see from the top of the bag."

"I don't know Durham that well so I was looking for a place to have lunch before a visit to the hospital. The shopping center was close by and had this restaurant and a couple of others including Jersey Mike's. I chose this place over Jersey Mike's because I wanted something a little different than a sandwich. Their hibachi lunch specials included a drink for less than $10 I believe, for chicken and beef options. Of course my selection was shrimp so it was a little bit more and it did not include the drink, but that was OK. I love the fact that you serve yourself on the sauces, and that they didn't take very long to cook the food. I also like the fact that I could swap out the onions for extra broccoli at no additional cost. The people were very nice and I had an encounter that I didn't expect so it made the food that much better. This place may be my go to the next time I visit the area."

"Hands down the best Asian food in the Triangle. Highly recommend. They recently added incredible atmospheric EDM Trace after-hours music at dinner. It makes for the best dine-in experience. It's fun and kid-friendly. The gluten-free menu is FANTASTIC. The staff is well versed and very careful. They have fried items and sauteed items. I get the candy walnut shrimp, hot fish, or orange beef. Everything is well prepared and delicious. They also added the BEST gluten-free beer menu! A full range of options. It's magic. We've been coming to Goji for years. It never disappoints. I'm so thankful for this safe, delicious option in my hometown."

"This might be my new go-to ramen place in the Triangle. As much as I love Noodle Blvd, it's kind of far away, and this place is honestly just as good!I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and my friend had the poke bowl. Both were super delicious, and our server gave us some yummy sauces to go with them.The spicy sauce is SUPER spicy! So you've been warned. "Miso Ramen bar is undeniably delicious, and my son considers it his favorite ramen spot. Situated conveniently near Downtown Raleigh, the restaurant offers ample parking. I recommend arriving a bit early as there may be a short wait (reservations are not accepted), but there is bar seating available. Upon arrival, you can add your name to the waitlist, which is a nice touch.The restaurant is consistently busy, yet always well-maintained with clean facilities. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and go the extra mile to ensure a welcoming experience. Whether dining with friends or adults, everyone can find something appetizing on the menu. Here is what we order on our most recent visit: Karage Wings $12Pork Belly Buns (2) $9Kids Miso Ramen with Chicken and Eggs Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl $12 The food was delicious overall, and I particularly enjoyed the wings and the pork belly bun. A tip to keep in mind: it's best to finish the wings while you're at the restaurant. If you have any leftovers and take them home, they don't reheat well."

"The service is awesome here. Seated promptly. The inside is small enough seating for small groups. Outside seating as well. The food was outstanding. Some of the best I have ever had. I got gyoza and a pork and chicken with black garlic. The gyoza cooked perfect. The pork in the ramen was out of this world. Juicy and delicious, it set this bowl flying with flavor. The chicken was bland. No big deal. I needed a little salt and added some chili oil. For the price and what I got, I would definitely be back!"

"Gen Ramen has easily become one of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh. Cute interior, hidden in a strip mall. I think we've tried all the ramens at this point. The grilled steak ramen (RIP), the brisket ramen, the creamy chicken ramen, and the vegan lemongrass ramen. My husband orders it without the noodles and no one has ever made him feel weird about it. Finally got around to trying their nigiri and one of their apps. And 5/5. Each nigiri piece came with its own complimentary glaze or topping - the salmon had a lemony glaze with sesame seeds, which was to die for. The fresh was incredibly fresh and the rice was perfectly cooked and room temperature.The TCR app was incredible. Spicy tuna with some avocado and toppings on the most perfect crispy rice. I could eat it every day. Honestly, I could eat all of it every day!Service is so nice. We really enjoyed sitting at the counter and chatting with the staff."

"Another day, another ramen craving. I had never been to Tasu Noodle Bar, but it was recommended to me by a friend. I got Tonkotsu ramen (my favorite) because I am on the hunt for the best. I really did enjoy it. I really, really loved the Napa cabbage in it. The other places I've tried usually don't have Napa cabbage in the ramen, but now I prefer it, so I will be coming back here for the ramen. I also got the crab rangoons, those were decent."

"Place was really close to where I was working and decided to stop here for lunch. Place is cute and clean, everyone was super friendly. I got the hot green tea. Some seaweed salad, and two rolls, the rocky shrimp and eel show. Both were delicious. Rice was perfectly cooked and shrimp tempura was crunchy and not oily. I would highly recommend if you're in the area!"

"As a fan of Thai food, I was excited to order from Thaipoon Bistro. I placed a future take-out order before they opened for 12 pm. I liked the convenience of ordering in advance. Our order was ready upon arrival and accurate. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, vegetarian Tom yum soup, Tom yum fried rice, and lo mein noodles. We enjoyed each of the items. The soup especially had great flavor. The lunch special came with a salad. By the time we ate our meal the salad was very soggy. I recommend packaging the salad separately from the food and dressing. Prices and portions are reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant to others!"

"I was excited to find a new ramen place! I usually go to the same places, and I have really been looking to more places but have been coming up short finding good Tonkatsu ramen. Hokkaido's ramen portions are pretty small compared to the other places I have tried, I was very surprised when I got home and opened the container. The broth was a little salty as well, so this one was not my favorite. But, I did love the shrimp fried rice! It was very good, and the portion was large. The staff was very nice as well, and the restaurant was nice. I got a to go order though so I did not stay long, but from what I saw it looked pretty good. I also liked how the food came in a nice to go bag with chopsticks and a takeout menu. I will definitely be back for the fried rice and to try some other menu items too."

"Atmosphere: Kiichi Ramen is a small and intimate ramen shop on 9th Street. With both bar seating and tables, the restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday night. Service: There was a small hiccup with communication at the beginning of our meal as our servers didn't realize that we hadn't ordered yet. However, our servers were kind, and our food came out pretty quickly. Food: We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and Curry Ramen, both with pork. The Tonkotsu Ramen was rich and came with a surprisingly generous heap of noodles, along with a delicious soft-boiled egg. The Curry Ramen was a bit bland and could've used some more flavor from the curry. It was much less salty than the Tonkotsu Ramen, which could appeal to some people more than others. Overall: We enjoyed our experience at Kiichi Ramen. It's probably one of the better ramen places in Durham, but it also didn't overly impress us. We may come back after their soft opening once they're a bit more established."

"The H-Mart food court really is fire. I recently tried Don Don and it did not disappoint. I love a good udon soup and their's was awesome. It was a chilly day and it was the perfect comfort food. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was very flavorful. I ordered from a few different stalls and not surprisingly Don Don was the fasted one getting the soup out. I thought the price for the soup was very reasonable (under $10) and also appreciated that their soda was only $1.50 per can. I look forward to heading in again!"

"Who doesn't love ramen?! On the nook of a shopping center, this restaurant is a must try! It's small in the inside but the have seating outside. In the winter they have it sheltered and have heating lamps. I went for the tonkotsu which is a rich pork broth with pork inside and ALL of the goodies. The soft boiled egg is my favourite part. The pork buns was so soft and pillowy it's was like a first kiss haha. You should really give these a try. The cucumbers inside adds a bit of freshness, the carrots give it texture and the sauce brings it all together. To-go plates and napkins are self serve but my server brought them to me. There's free water coolers which is a great option!"

"Wow, just wow! This place was fantastic! As a ramen enthusiast, I had high expectations, and they were fully met. The broth was incredibly rich, warming me to the bone--perfect for the chilly day. The pork belly was outstanding, with a perfect crust and tender texture that absorbed the umami flavors of the broth beautifully. The edamame and house-made kimchi were fresh and delicious. The edamame came with a chili crunch that packed a punch, and the kimchi had a bold gochugaru flavor that was absolutely on point.I'm excited to come back and try the omakase menu; it looked phenomenal. I also recommend trying the house-made hot sauce--it was a great addition. The ambiance was super trendy, reminiscent of a spot you'd find in NYC, but fitting right into the vibe of Downtown Durham. The decor was thoughtfully designed, and it really enhanced the experience. Our server was sweet, guiding us through the menu and providing efficient, timely service. I'll definitely return to explore more of the menu next time we're in Durham!"

"Really enjoyed the food and service here yesterday. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The cocktails were plentiful and tasty. The lobster crispy rice was outstanding. Our server Kama was courteous and efficient. My only complaint about this red is the fact that an unhoused person from the street came inside and grabbed a menu then proceeded to go to every table asking for someone to purchase food for her. She was allowed to roam free and it was just disconcerting. Afterwards we noticed she'd relocated to the front door of the restaurant begging passersby for the same. I would definitely order food from here again but maybe not dine in."

"I've been dying to try this place since it opened. Finally, I got around to it and got some ramen to go! I had the Tonkotsu ramen. It was delicious. The broth was very flavorful, I could have that by itself, lol. The order was ready 5 minutes after I ordered and the staff was nice. It wasn't busy, I went on a Wednesday evening around 6pm. It's a cute place, next time I'll have to dine in. I'm not on that side of Durham often, and there wasn't too much over there that I frequent so if I back, it will just be for Urban Noodle!"
