"I finally ordered a few treats for Valentine's Day from the Kupcake Fairy today and I am pleased. In honor of Black History Month, I have made it my duty to support and promote black owned businesses across the triangle. I decided on the Oreo cupcake, triple chocolate, red velvet and lemon cheesecake pound cake. They were out of red velvet today. Everything was packaged neatly. I will say that they should improve on their branding. The packaging could use a facelift to make it eye catching and modern. It's 2023. My favorite item was the lemon cheesecake mini pound cake. So rich, moist and delicious. The icing was decadent. Each cupcake came in an appropriate container to keep the Kupcakes neat. I appreciated this for gifting. I would definitely return again to support the business and try new menu items. They have a small location in the Morgan St Food Hall as well to cut down on the gas to Morrisville."

This is both good and bad as you might leave with more treats than you planned on. The menu has changed a little too and that they sell cookies and brownies now. I finally made it on a Saturday for the cinnamon rolls but left with gingerbread cookies and macaroons too. Sweet Traditions takes holiday orders for items not typically available in the store as you can get casseroles and more detailed treats.If you are looking for something yummy to eat, make a stop here."

"I've been to this store multiple times. This last time (4/14/23), the customer service was amazing. She was super sweet and suggested their new cake slices. I originally went for cupcakes, but I couldn't resist the strawberry cake slice. I couldn't wait to get home. The strawberry cake slice was HUGE & tasted amazing. I also got cupcakes & they were good too. The brownie was kind of blah. I will definitely not get that again. It wasn't special. The flavors didn't pop. It did nothing for me. There was plenty of parking available when I went. I love Smallcakes & will be a forever customer. I just wish that customer service there was consistent. The lady who helped me this last time was very sweet."

"If I could give this 10 stars I would.Hands down, the BEST, macrons we have ever had!We got a 12 pack of macarons because it was so hard to decide. We went with (left to right): s'mores, champagne pop!, salted caramel, red velvet, birthday cake, tiramisu, strawberries and cream, raspberry, lavender, strawberries and cream, dark cherry cheesecake and lemon.Honestly, it is so hard to describe how good these are other than they aren't like the slightly crunchy ones we have gotten at other macaron shops. They are like biting into little clouds of paradise. So light, so full of flavor and not overly sweet. Pure perfection!Let's just say that they are so good, we have no shame in driving from Fuquay Varina to get some. lol"

It's a good thing I don't live at the hotel where I was staying across from this place because I might become a nonstop diner. Thanks to my alleged poor ability to make a decision, I made it out of there with "some to share". That gave me a chance to taste four delicious items.Summary: just go grab something you'll not be disappointed! Plenty of choices for you "picky dessert people", and of course coffee selections to pair. But if you want to get granular...The brownie was rich and of course chocolatey. Props for the effort as it's sometimes hard to pull off a brownie when your specialty is cupcakes. This is big enough to use as "firsts" and "seconds" (or just don't tell anybody and eat it all).Next was the cinnamon cupcake. The cake itself was light to balance the sweet but not overbearing (huge amount) of frosting. The sea salt caramel was also generous on the frosting, and had a nice mix of spice + salt. Today's winner was the oatmeal cookie, with tasty glaze leaving me wanting more. However I know there are plenty of the oat-averse wandering around Yelp, so just remember I didn't try about 15 other things today. They all looked good. Nice ambiance, plenty of pastel, giant old-time cash register, outdoor/indoor seats--I'll return.

Smallcakes in located or shall I say, "hidden" within a busy shopping center. Please drive carefully because stop signs are everywhere! Also, people tend to drive like maniacs right in the middle of the intersection where the shop is located. You'll see what I mean. Onto Smallcakes! The person working at the front was super kind and sweet. It was difficult to tell where the menu was at first but it'll be right in front of you on the glass. There are a variety of cupcakes to choose from along with two specials of the week. I went with...Lemon Drop: A nice kick of lemon, I wish it had more of a lemon flavor, a bit light in my opinion.Chocolaty-Chocolate: A very rich chocolate flavor to it. Also, super sweet! Overall, great experience! The price was around $8-9 for two, which was a hit in my opinion.

First time here today. The sweet potato cake was delicious. There were hard white pieces in it though (like plastic - it was hard and inedible). Not sure what it was. Both slices of cake we got were cold/moist. I would come back to try other flavors.

I try to really watch my sugar consumption, but occasionally I will have a treat. I happen to be at the shopping center today, and I called ahead to make sure I could just place a drive up order right away.The lady that I spoke to was so friendly and explained that you literally can just pull up into a designated spot, choose your items from the menu posted outside, and text your order to the number, they will bring your order right out to you and you pay right at your car window. How fantastic is that!I chose fourcupcakes one for each member of my family - Lemon drop, red velvet, peanut butter blossom, and birthday cake. Look how gorgeous those cupcakes are! They are made fresh every day and I believe the menu changes daily. Please consider supporting local, especially during this crazy year and this pandemic. Very professional, very delicious cupcakes, and they literally make it so easy for you to get a special treat and bring it home!

I had a sweet tooth and was looking for something sweet. This place is up the road from my job...when I walked in I was immediately greeted. This bakery is adorable in the inside. The cupcakes are pretty and she offers a lot of unique flavors, salted Carmel, lemonade, birthday cake and more. She also offers brownies. I purchased two brownies and one cupcake. The plain brownie was delicious! Perfect if you as me! The cupcake was cool but had a lot of icing. Service was amazing and there is plenty of space to park your car.

Omgosh these cupcakes were amazing! I am usually a person who loves icing and then thinks the cake is just meh...but I loved every part of these. I bought 6 of them for my husband birthday - so it was fun to try a variety. I don't even know if I could pick a favorite because they were all so good. I expected to walk in and just see a bakery counter but they do also have some seating inside. I'll be back to fulfill my cravings for these cupcakes and I'll be telling my friends to check out this spot.

Taste of Carolina - Durham Food Tour - 23 Dec 2023Wow, Taste of Carolina really delivered some excellent bites in Durham today. Our agenda today included stops at: Toasted, Boricua Soul, Queeny's, Bull City Burger, sweets by Shayda. All restaurants did an excellent job. There were six in our party. Here are my individual notes. Toasted - Toasted has been thriving in Durham for over a decade. They offer unique soups and toasted bites/panini's. We were served a cauliflower soup and an avocado crustini. I loved the cauliflower soup. It was surprisingly creamy and tasty. Two In our party loved the avacado crustini, Boricua Soul - This place is special. The husband and wife owners have a captivating story to share about the historical and Philosophical origins of their culinary adventure. They served us a "lunch box" with perfectly prepared Puerto Rican roast pork, greens (soul food) , Mac & Cheese (soul food) and tostones (Puerto Rican). It was a huge bite and was the favorite stop for 5 people in our party. Next time we attend a Durham Bulls game we plan to eat here.Queeny's - is a friendly, creative bar / pub. They served us upscale nachos and a glass of dry cider. The nachos were very popular. The dry cider was interesting and unique. They owner made us feel welcome and encouraged us to try the many well designed drinks and bar foods.Bill City Burgers - The owner do an outstanding job describing his unique commitment to serving only Greason fed beef raised locally and making every item served here in house by his team of chefs. The burgers were excellent. They were bursting with beefy flavor and cooked perfectly. Be sure to try the deep fried pickles. So unique and loved by all. Two in our party picked this stop as their "Best Bite" selection. Sweets by Sayda - our last stop offered devine French Pastries. Macrons, croissants and other delicacies were shared. Share these pastries with those you love. They will treasure these treats.Lastly, I would like to share our deep appreciation to the folks at "Taste of Carolina" food tours. Our hosts had to manage finding a fifth stop today since their schedule included a venue who had to close due to kitchen staff all falling ill. In addition, I was recently released from the hospital due to foot surgery. These made waking very difficult. Our hosts did everything possible to make sure I was included in all of the stops. We plan on doing these Taste of Carolina Tours in the future: Hillsborough, Carrboro and Winston-Salem.

We ordered three cupcakes and I don't remember one of the names but there was the Funfetti, Snickerdoodle, and one other cupcake. The staff was nice and friendly and this was a cozy spot to buy some cupcakes. It was also quick service as well. The Funfetti cupcake was good and same with the Snickerdoodle cupcake. The last one was not bad but I don't remember the name. Overall, this was a good place for cupcakes in the area and would recommend it."

"2/8/23: I went to the laundromat the day before and noticed this cute little bakery. Unfortunately, they were closed, so I made it a point to go today. Y'all know I LOVE cake, so I was excited to see their open sign lit up. We went a little before closing, which I'm sad about. I will be sure to go earlier next time. We were immediately greeted by the owner's dad. He was so bubbly and friendly. I loved him!We ended up getting a mocha chocolate cake square and some chocolate chip cookies. Now, being that I get cake all the time, the only thing that I didn't care for was the icing. It wasn't the thick, sweet buttercream icing that I'm used to. It was more like whipped, and I don't like whipped anything! Outside of that, the flavor of the cake was good and it was SO MOIST. I scraped the icing off and just at the cake. The cookies were good too. I could taste the butter - YUM! We are definitely going to go back to their brunch and special events. I can't wait to see what other yummy goodies I can get my hands on. :)Go check them out. You won't be disappointed."

"Hands-down, one of the best bakeries in town. We stumbled upon Madame B's bakery after seeing her on television and hearing about her on social media. She truly has one of the best cakes in town and there's no denying it wants to try it. She has a very friendly staff and truly has a gift for baking. I've learned a lot since going to this location about Madame B's. She really has a passion and a gift for baking and she loves seeing people. Enjoy the products that she creates. This is a lovely family ran establishment in a great location. If you get a moment, don't drive by, but stop in and grab some cake. I would recommend trying the red velvet cake and also get the Keylime cake. The Keylime is to die for! The red velvet taste nothing like chocolate and you know that's a big thing about red velvet that most people don't like. You can't go wrong here. Great product with amazing service."

Cheesecake (GMFC) is the real deal! I love spots like Cheesecake Factory and a few other spots around the area... honestly, the cakes GMFC is dropping puts them all to shame. Chef T and her baking concepts on cheesecake is crazy. She has nearly 200 flavors and combinations that will send you into a shock! I tried the Banana Pudding and OMGGGG I almost wanted to unpack my bed and sleep right next to the kiosk so I could eat everything she had. GMFC uses the best ingredients and everything is always fresh and chilled. Chef T is super awesome. She likes to engage with her new customers! Take 10 minutes and make the stroll downstairs to check out GMFC! You won't regret it! Not one complaint!"

Its conveniently located in the shopping center behind Triangle Town Center Mall. The decor and interior is so beautiful and the variety of cheesecake, cupcakes and pies are great. I chose the strawberry cupcake/cheesecake and it was just ok. The cheesecake almost taste like the no bake cheesecake you buy from a grocery store and the graham cracker crust at the bottom was just crumbles and not really a crust. I also tried the white chocolate macadamia cupcake and that was really good. The icing was light and sweet and the cake was moist and had a great flavor."
