"Located inside Crabtree Mall-2nd level, across from the Apple Store is Bapu Fresh. Most times when walking by there has been quite a line since Bubble Tea is popular and enjoyed by many. They have another location in Morrisville NC so it's nice to have this option for a delicious beverage in the mall. The mall opens at 10am on Saturday and we were some of the first to check it out before the crowds.My first impression of this place is that it was calm and clean. If I had the time, I could totally sit at one of their tables and watch people shop while sipping on my tea.The young lady at the register was pleasant and the menu was big and bright right above her head. We didn't have any questions but if we did there was a wall that explained how to order. My daughter got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea which is listed as one of their Best Sellers. You can customize to have you drink made your way. Not in the mood for tea--no worries they also offer a variety of smoothies!"

"We stopped by this cute coffee shop for a pick me up. With a wide variety of teas and coffees to choose from, Heirloom hits the spot. I loved my hot "Xieng Khouang" Lao Fog Latte which was amazing and super tasty - it tastes like a sweet variant of an iced Thai tea, but in a steamed hot form. If I lived in Raleigh, I would come back just for this drink. I also tried the orchid oolong, which was less impressive. The shop also sells a variety of Asian snacks/condiments and tea/coffeeware which could be great gifts. Shoutout to the sole barista who worked on President's day, she was totally manning the shop herself and 100% was keeping that coffee shop afloat and running. Someone should give her a raise if they haven't already."

Their selection was extremely impressive and I enjoyed every single one. The flavors I sampled were; pistachio, tiramisu, wedding cake, coconut, vanilla, s'mores, strawberry shortcake, peach mango, Nutella, Ferraro Rocher, lemon lavender and cherry chocolate truffle. I loved them all with the lemon lavender, peach mango and pistachio being my favorites. We're both very appreciative of the love & care that go into making a perfect macaron and have only found superior ones in Charlotte and Atlanta. "Hubby and I came here after a nice dinner on a Saturday evening. We were both wanting something sweet so when searching on Yelp we came across Salt and Cocoa. Soooo glad we did! There was only one couple here. We told the young man behind the counter it was our first time so he explained the whole menu to us. I opted for the banana Nutella rolled ice cream with the red bean taiyaki. Hubby ordered the matcha rolled ice cream with custard taiyaki. Omg. These were amazing!! My ice cream was a sweet treat for my mouth. And that taiyaki was delish!! The red bean inside was hot while the fish shaped waffle was crispy and warm. The store was very cute with drawings from school children on the wall and colored stools and tables. Both ice cream roll ups and 2 taiyaki totaled up to almost $21. I'd love to come back again and try another roll up. This dessert was the topping on our date night!"

"I was happy to see Java Jive open on Christmas Eve other than Starbucks and the coffee was good.When I first walked in, I noticed it was very quiet that people come to do work here so it was a relaxing atmosphere.They not only serve coffee, but they serve milk tea drinks as well, which became hard for me to choose what I wanted lol.I ended up going with the toasted marshmallow iced latte which I don't remember if it was seasonal or not but the flavor was good. "Came here off a heavy recommendation while downtown Raleigh. Considering it was cold out, coming to a local coffee shop was just what we wanted. You can view to accompanying photos to see the inside, it's really tasteful and the ambiance is calm and chill. We noticed the cleanliness of this establishment is top notch (including the bathrooms). Service was great, just one worker behind the counter but she was able to keep up. She was so friendly and helped us with ordering what we were in the mood for. I got the Lucettegrace HOT coffee which is two espresso shots with steamed condensed milk. This is exactly what I was looking for and one of the best sweet hot coffee drinks I've had. We also got a chai tea latte which was absolutely delicious. Now on top of the bomb drink experience we got a pastry which I forgot the name of however what was awesome was that the girl ended up giving us a free baklava croissant. I've been to the one in Lafayette village and did not realize they have three Raleigh locations (North Raleigh, North Hills, and Hillsborough street by NCSU). The coffee and tea is just as good and pretty as the Lafayette village location. Maybe I went at a less busy time, but it was quick and easy to order and find a seat. Due to the heat I decided to dine inside. I placed an order at the counter and chose a seat at the table beside the kitchen. The blueberry pearl waffle and London fog latte arrived shortly. Now I'm sure they are more impressive since I don't know how they are made, but I don't care, I'll continue to be impressed and choose pearl sugar waffles whenever they are offered. This one in particular was larger than others I have seen and filled with delicious blueberries! The London fog accompanied the waffle well. The temperature was perfect, the design clear and aesthetic, and the flavor was present and faint (not overpowering). Overall, lovely place for breakfast, brunch, and coffee/tea!Parking: nearby lot and street parking available (free and paid options)Employees: welcoming, friendly, and helpfulAtmosphere: typical university coffee shop vibe. "This Joe Van Gogh location is our go-to coffee shop because of proximity. When we first moved to the area, my wife searched Google and Yelp for a good local coffee shop near us. Joe Van Gogh was the winner. My wife, who's the real coffee aficionado between us, likes this place. She comes here way more than me. Everything I've had from here has been good to great. Needless to say, it gets my recommendation if you're looking for a solid local coffee shop.This location opened in late 2015 in the Woodcroft Shopping Center ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/woodcroft-shopping-center-durham ), not far from Southpoint and the Durham-Chapel Hill border. We always enter this shopping center from the back, via 54. We often park in one of the to-go spots, right outside the entrance, because we're usually stopping by before hitting the road and/or running errands.Our favorite things to get are the hot and iced lattes with macadamia or oat milk and the iced matcha latte, also with macadamia or oat milk. For the hot and iced lattes, our favorite flavors have been orange blossom and rose cardamom (seasonal). We've also tried the nitro cold brew (yummy). Joe Van Gogh roasts their own coffee and the seasonal syrups are made in-house. She's had both the London Fog Scone ($3.50) and the weekend special Biscuits & Gravy ($8). She said both were tasty. Service has always been great. The staff is nice. We've never had to wait long for our coffee.As for the coffee shop itself, it's a typical cafe. It's spacious with a variety of seating -- bar, table, outdoor (covered). The Wi-Fi speed has been decent.At the time of writing this review, Joe Van Gogh has two locations in Durham (this one and one on Broad Street near downtown) and one location in Chapel Hill (Timberlyne Village shopping center). My wife prefers this location to the Broad Street location because this location is bigger and has easier parking.Fun fact: Joe Van Gogh is served at UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus. My wife likes to get it when she's working there."

"Holy Breakfast!! This restaurant was located near the hotel we were staying at, and my other half wanted something different than the breakfast offered there. When we walked in we were warmly greeted, and shown to a table. We looked at the menu and saw that all the southern favorites were present and accounted for! I went with a cheesesteak omelette with country potatoes and grits as my sides. There was also a biscuit involved that was seriously tasty! I had orange juice to drink, Husband had coffee and said that it was very good. What struck me even more than the amazing food, and the vast menu..is that the staff were all chatting with regulars and telling them stories and laughing..like old friends!"

"LOVE this place. By far the best breakfast and coffee place we have tried in Cary NC! It's easy to see what's unique about this place - board games on shelves as wide and tall as the entire right hand back area wall. Across from the board games are various local area crafted merchandise such as stone pendant necklaces, painted mint tins, crocheted items, stickers and buttons, etc etc. Service was wonderful, we were immediately greeted upon entering. We had "pagers" that go off when your beverage is ready to be picked up at the counter. There's a self-service counter where you pick up your stainless steel (not plastic!) utensils, napkins, cold water, etc. We ordered Nutella latte and honey lavender latte. Both were delicious, hit the spot in terms of coffee and specialty. My BF ordered the roast beef in a waffle sandwich, absolutely unique and tasty. I had the best tasting avocado toast topped with sliced boiled egg. All ingredients look and taste so fresh! Will definitely go back to try all other menu items!"

"Milk Lab is a really good place to satisfy my boba cravings! It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking, and they have an online ordering option. I got their brown sugar milk tea. It was ready really quickly, faster than the initial time estimate I was given, which was very nice. The store itself is spacious and clean, with both indoor and outdoor seating.I think that for boba, I make distinctions between a good drink and a good tea. A good drink just has to be harmonious, but a good tea means I am judging the flavor of the brewed tea itself. With that being said, I think my brown sugar milk tea was a fantastic boba shop drink. It was creamy and had that nice caramelized flavor from the brown sugar, without any odd aftertaste. However, I think the brown sugar overpowered the tea in this drink. I got this drink at a reduced sweetness but I still couldn't really taste the tea. I think that does tend to be the case with brown sugar drinks though, so I may opt for a non brown-sugar drink next time I am here. All in all I enjoyed this drink even without a super strong tea flavor, so I am still looking forward to my next trip here."

There are plenty of tables inside, though we can imagine that it can get busy and crowded during the academic year because of how close together the tables are. We went during UNC's spring break, so we were able to enjoy the cafe on a quieter day. Service: Our barista was friendly, and our drink was ready after a short few minutes! Food: We ordered an Espresso Shake, which is made with vanilla ice cream, espresso, and chocolate syrup. The shake was filling and satisfying, and had a good amount of sweetness and coffee flavor. It tasted just like coffee ice cream! Overall: Open Eye Cafe is nice and spacious, and has a good variety of drink options. However, at the price point, we think that the quality could have been a bit better, which is why we gave them a 4."

"The fam and I wanted to do something different to switch up our normal socially distant park activities. We decided to grab takeout from the belted goat and walk around Fearrington Village so my son could check out the actual goats. We went on a Saturday morning and while there were some people there it wasn't crowded at all. The belted goat has a tent setup with tables across from their pickup window. This was the closest my family and I have been to dining out since mid-March. I liked that you could grab your food and sit on your own. The tent had maybe 10-15 tables and there was only one other table being used while we were there. It felt very safe! I also liked that they updated all their COVID information on Yelp and they followed through with everything on site. Staff had masks and gloves on. On to the food, I enjoyed my breakfast! I got the eggs benedict and it was quite tasty. The hollandaise was delicious and had a nice lemony kick to it. I also enjoyed the homemade english muffin and huge portion of tater tots that came with it. I got an iced chai which was perfect for the humid morning, iced wasn't an option in their online ordering system so I just ordered hot and added a note to please make it iced. My husband got the bacon and egg sandwich and didn't enjoy it as much since the english muffin was hard to eat. My son ordered the berry scone and it was delicious. I'd definitely return for breakfast or give them a try for lunch/dinner soon!"

Its large windows flood the space with beautiful natural light, and the minimalist yet artistic decor adds to its charm. The plants scattered throughout the cafe also infuse life and vibrancy into the space. While finding a seat may be a challenge at times, once you secure one, it's the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy. Service: The baristas at Iris are always friendly and eager to provide recommendations. Our drinks have always come out quickly with no issues. Food: We've tried several of Iris's drinks, including their Blue Matcha Latte, Brown Sugar Latte, Vanilla Latte, Spring Matcha Tonic, Summer Matcha, Peach Field Espresso Tonic, Bourbon Butterscotch Latte, Cortado, and Drip Coffee. Our favorites are their Brown Sugar Latte and Vanilla Latte. The lattes aren't overly sweet, and they have a comforting, warm quality to them. Even their drip coffee is satisfying and has a good punch of caffeine that is stronger than other coffee shops' daily drips. We've also tried some of their food menu items, with our favorites being the Prosciutto Sammy and Pesto Sammy. The Prosciutto Sammy integrates all of our favorite flavors (prosciutto, arugula, mozzarella, fig) into delicious bites. The Pesto Sammy is also wonderful - the fresh basil and salty meat come together as a balanced complement to any drink. Overall: Iris Coffee Lab is our favorite coffee shop in the Triangle. We absolutely love their space and rotating menu, bringing us back more times than we can count. This cafe is a local gem and is definitely worth a visit."

"Quite possibly the best bagels in the Durham area!! My boyfriend and I grabbed breakfast sandwiches this morning (he got the sausage egg & cheese and I got the bacon egg & cheese). They were both chewy, flavorful, and filling. Since Isaac's is to-go only, we ordered using the mobile system. The process was pretty straightforward. They make your coffee when you come to pick up your order, which is nice-- nobody likes lukewarm or watered-down drinks. I will definitely be back soon to try some of their cream cheeses!!"

"It's hard to believe that after living in Raleigh for 12 years I just made it to Third Place. The parking situation (lack of) always turned me off. With $10 in hand from my Offline Raleigh deal, I told myself to be patient and headed over before work. I went on a Wednesday morning at 8 and, miraculously, there was parking in the four spots they have for pick up! Be aware the spots are pretty narrow.I was greeted upon walking in and the barista walked me through the menu as I was indecisive. I ordered a medium vanilla latte, extra hot, and a BLGT. This toasted (sesame) bagel had bacon, spinach (too much!), goat cheese and tomato. I'd order it again and ask for less spinach, and probably get the Michaels English muffin. My drink was the right temperature and wasn't too sweet. I picked up a bagel with cream cheese for my boss and she said it was good.I didn't grab an interior photo, but they have different "stalls" set up with tables along the wall sectioned off by dividers. They would make good work spots during the day."

"What a cute coffee shop!! I finally live on this side of Durham where I'm close to more stuff like People's coffee! It was mt first time visiting but I've heard a lot about it from my friends because they serve Smashed Waffles here and in college Smashed Waffles used to be my favorite place until they closed down on Hillsborough st at NC State. The outside was decorated very cute, like a lawn. It's a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The inside is small so I'd suggest getting there early if you wanted somewhere to sit. They have barstools as well. I waited a while because there was only one person working. I had the Masala Chai Latte, and it was really good! I'd probably visit again."

After tax and tip, the drink worked out to $7.95 total. Regular size. It was OK.BREW is unique in that it's located inside The Cary Theater. The cafe opened in March 2016, adjacent to the theater's lobby. There are various indoor and outdoor spaces and seating to choose from, including some quieter upper-level areas next to some of the theater's offices/private rooms and balcony. The wide spiral staircase is a cool feature. Overall, the place has somewhat of a neat, hip feel to it. Outside on the patio, you can sit next to the theater's art deco storefront.Along with coffee, BREW serves a small variety of interesting loose-leaf teas, seasonal drinks, kombucha, and food -- sandwiches, toast, bagels, English muffins, yogurt and granola, and more.Service was fine. The cashier was a bit dismissive, not very warm/friendly.Very limited parking is available for BREW and The Cary Theater behind the building. You're better off parking for free on a nearby street like E Cedar St, one block to the north."
