"Had the shrimp po' boy with fries. You can alternatively get it with coleslaw or other sides. I bought a po' boy in New Orleans recently that was not as good as this one. Really flavorful and generous. The bread was a dense crumb that didn't fall apart, the shrimp was tender with a crisp outside, the tomatoes were juicy and the sauce was just a little bit spicy. You can add hot sauce, too. Plus, it was a great deal for the price! Filling and tasty... What more can you ask for??"
"I love a good dive bar. And reminiscent of an old country store, White Oak Grill AND Lounge is the Holy Grail of that genre. White Oak has liquor--and food--and they take credit cards--three things most true dive bars don't have. The bar is bursting with old school, roadside honky tonk character. Their sign is a simple hand-painted piece of plywood. Parking is in a gravel lot (littered with a few beer cans) off the highway. And walking into the bar with a screen door slamming behind me just feels right.Staff was friendly and the food was really good. We had mushroom/jalapeno pizza and fried okra because we're healthy like that. I was surprised to see the bartender/cook making the pizza dough fresh with each order. The pizza was awesome.White Oak has pool tables, outdoor seating, and a stage for karaoke and live music (I was there seeing a friend's blue grass band). And you can get fried dough, boiled peanuts, and Jello shots. It's better than the State Fair! The full menu features country cookin' and typical bar fare. I can't wait to stop in for breakfast--and it's nice to know I can have a shot of whiskey with my egg sandwich if I'm so inclined.Thank you White Oak. There aren't many places like you left in this trendy world."

Visit Restaurant Page"You can sit at the long counter stool and watch them work. We arrived for a late breakfast and it appears most folks were eating lunch and it all looked terrific. We opted for biscuit and gravy and they were out of the sawmill gravy so we got brown instead which threw off our intentions that morning but it was still good. I'm looking forward to going back and having a burger. The place was buzzin and very busy yet our server was sweet as the tea we were drinking. I would make this a regular weekly visit if I lived just a touch closer."
"This place is so delicious. Come early because there's normally a long line. Service is quick, food is hot, and portions are huge! They use hoop cheese for the biscuits. This is a local breakfast place you can't miss out on."
"What a Great place!Plenty of parking. You can sit inside or out. I got my order for eat in. A very friendly man delivered it to our table.Best coffee I have had. I don't like coffee that is full of flavored creamer or extra sugars- I like coffee, touch of oat milk.Their coffee is delicious!I also had the 3 tacos- sausage, egg and pimento cheese. Overall they were good, the egg was so thin I couldn't taste it at al. The pimento cheese and sausage had good flavor."
"I went here for the first time today -- phenomenal variety of bagels, "shmere", and other tasty treats. I had the turtle mocha and it was phenomenal. Excellent service and unique combinations overall."
"Food was so good ! I had a beautiful margarita and used my Yelp coupon for free queso. I had the tortilla appetizer and it was enough for a full mealThe waitstaff were excellent. I have never been seated and received my food so quickly. What a great restaurant!! A little noisy but you can also sit outside"
"I took my mom to eat here because it was close to the hotel we were staying at and I was happy I did. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was good and a nice size portion, and the place was clean. The French toast really stood out because it was really tasty. They had a senior menu choice which was discounted. The coffee was the only thing that we found not good. Overall, a great place to visit."
"Great local place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast served all day. Quaint decor, farmhouse feel, wood, antiques, like visiting grandma's. Booths, tables, or a farm table to seat up to 14!Easy access off I-40, just before the roundabout in Newton Grove. Today, we enjoyed breakfast. Order from the hot bar, with eggs to order, and it comes out quick. Their thick sliced "toast" is actually grilled, and oh my delicious. Hashtater casserole puts the 'barrel's" to shame. Served in a crock, yum.Fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea is awesome. Extra served in cute white rooster pitcher so I can refill at my leisure. Red pitcher for those of you sweet tea drinkers. They also offer Coke products, orange or apple juice, milk, and coffee. They have specialty coffees as well. Cold drinks served in Mason jars. We brought home their in-house bakery items, a donut, cinnamon rolls, and a pint of chicken salad, made with grapes, pecans, and special seasonings. With the combination of delicious foods and decor, you can go wrong here. Enjoy your visit! Our server, Savannah, was friendly and informative, as she answered our questions about the place. Found out she went to school with our kids! It's worth the drive East for a change of scenery and some delicious food, and we're looking forward to our next visit."
"Staff are cheerful and friendly. Food is very good. Hubby had the country eggs Benedict and practically wiped the plate clean. He said their hollandaise is almost as good as mine! I had the their version of the croque and it was delicious! Super rich and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfasts come with rosemary potatoes or fruit. Our first time here and it won't be our last! Highly recommend."
"Visiting from Indy, this place was right by our hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was out pretty quickly. We tried the burger, chicken, fries and sweet potato fries and a shake! Both fries were amazing!!! The burger was delish!! The shake could've used a tad more flavor (I tried the blueberry one) but was still yummy. Sadly my fried chicken patty was awful. Tough and chewy and not fresh at all. But given the rest of our food was great, they still win in my book!"
"I believe BBQ Joes has by far the best bbq in the surrounding area. Service is mediocre but the bbq is top notch. On my visit today I had to place my order at the bar, the last time I dined here I was waited on at the table but that has apparently changed. The baked beans were very flavorful. The fries are beer battered, not my preference. Sweet tea is delicious. If you want good bbq then see the folks at BBQ joes at one of their two locations."

This place ain't fancy but it's a great place to get a good meal. Don't let the decor (or lack thereof) scare you off. This is a friendly neighborhood bar with some of the best food in Garner. The burgers are excellent. The pizza is the best we've had in Garner (they make their own dough in-house), and the onion rings are among the best I've had anywhere. They don't usually have microbrews, they don't serve craft cocktails (they do mix a good margarita, though) and they certainly don't have artisanal ice (or artisanal anything), but if you're looking for a tasty bite or a cold beer in a friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

Power was out at home thanks to rolling blackouts, so needed a place for a hot meal on a cold Christmas Eve morning. I'd been following them on Facebook, and saw that they were open. I drove down, seeing that not much else was going on in downtown Reidsville, but a few cars outside the cafe. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and informed that a booth had a wait, or I could opt for the counter, which I chose. I was presented with a menu and ordered a hot cocoa to sip on. I decided on the Carolina Sampler, as it was my first visit, I was hungry, and I didn't know when the power would be back on at home.Breaking it down by item..the scrambled eggs were the softest I've probably ever had cooked on a flattop, the bacon was crispy, the way I like it, the sausage patty was decent, but not otherworldly, the ham was a bit on the salty side, but better than too sweet. The hashbrowns were good, but I forgot to order extra crispy (been a while since I was out for breakfast). The grits, sawmill gravy, apples, and biscuits were all very good in flavor and texture, and the hot cocoa was rich without being too sweet. Definitely have to get the gf down here some time.

All good things are wrapped in a white paper bag... This was my first visit to Flo's and I took advantage of the short vehicle line just before their 12 noon closing. Since this is a drive-thru only service, they have things down to a science. I told the young lady that this was first visit. She promptly shared that they have sweet potato biscuits on Wednesdays and that all items are made from scratch. She courteouly offered me a menu and helped me with my selection.I got 2 Cheese (chicken) biscuits for me and hubby along with scrambled eggs on the side. When I got home, I added a slice of tomato and some of the eggs to my biscuit sandwich. Actually, these scrambled eggs were pretty good. They were light and melt in your mouth good, not rubbery like I've had at some other breakfast places. Overall, I enjoyed the food, the portions were crazy generous, and the service prompt and pleasant! I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit.

It's okay here but I'll round up on stars. Leaning 3.5. The coffee is okay, the decor is really cool and inspired. Love all the rustic and woody motifs. The music was kept at the right level (as far as I'm concerned, that is). It's Sunday and the place is absolutely packed. However, I never seem to have issues getting tables or parking spaces. I'm lucky.Didn't try the food, but it all looks good.If you sit by the counter, prepare to have employees literally screaming peoples' names and orders into the air and into your face nonstop. Fair warning. The internet is blazing fast at 150 downloads with people crowding in like it's a NYC nightclub. Still, I'm not much of a fan yet. We'll see. I'm only here because my usual spot takes its time opening up on Sundays.A.

The best table-side guacamole EVER!Start your meal with a margarita or cerveza from the bar.Go all in for the table-side guacamole You can customize it to your liking. I 86'ed the onions. This was, by far, the best I've ever had. It was flavorful and delicious. The fresh-squeezed lemon gave it a brightness that woke up my tastebuds. Yum! Be sure to tip this server, too. #cashiskingOrdered lunch portion of 2 carnitas street tacos with elote-style corn on the side. Added queso and sour cream. My choice did not disappoint. This place is a sleeper! Don't miss a chance to visit Morrisville's best kept secret. It's lovely inside and out with shady outdoor seating. You'll receive fast and friendly service, the food is delicious, and the prices are fair. Yes, it'll take a minute to find a parking spot. Plan ahead.

Super fast - good food - great service - wide menu and if can't find what you are looking for breakfast - it doesn't exist
Visit Restaurant Page"I remember the Tex and Shirley's when it was at Friendly's Shopping Center...the food was good and now...it is amazing! When we walked in the hostess was polite and gave us a 15-20 minute wait, first available. They take your phone number and you get an update text when your table is ready. I don't think we waited 5 minutes. We sat at the bar. I enjoyed that. You can get a great view of the restaurant. The place has a good vibe. I like the interior decor and I also like they have outdoor tables. Our waitress who was working behind the bar was busy. She was working! Watching her maneuver around the place was something to watch. She apologized for some of the wait in between her service, but you couldn't be annoyed because she was getting the job done! The freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious. The coffee is fresh. Every time I go out for breakfast I have the notion to try something new, but I always get the go to breakfast platter. The platter comes with a ton of food and it was soooooooo good. Eggs, 3 meats, grits or potatoes and toast or pancakes. The sausage had a great texture and fresh taste. The eggs were cooked just like I like them. The ham wasn't too salty...perfect! The bacon was delish. Ok...drum roll...my favorite thing I've had in a while...the cheesy grits! Perfection! Yum! My only complaint is that it didn't come in super large bowl lol It was apparent that my daughter loved her French toast because before I could finish putting butter on my toast, I looked over at her plate...gone. I had a puzzled look on my face because I thought it dropped or someone took her food. I asked her where is your food? Gone. I don't even think I got a good look at it. Whatever you put in those she loved it. The plate was clean. Not a crumb was left on her plate. This place is definitely being added to my heavy rotation. Yep, you should definitely go."
"Kathy and I were traveling to the Triangle friends had told us about another place in town which we discovered to be closed. Rats! What to do? We both had to worked ourselves into being hungry and the thought of "...hurrying down to the local fast food place..." I opened up Yelp (what else) and discovered The Grist Mill. After perusing the menu and reviews, we were on our way with alacrity and arrived there soon after (a good thing as they were closing within 30 minutes for Memorial Day). We walked into a MAD HOUSE!!! A wonderfully laid out cafeteria-style place that is clean (defines what clean is!) and whose wait staff moves like they have skates on. No slouches here and no one sitting around waiting to clear tables either. They all work together in serving all the customers (no glass or cup shall long remain unfilled!) and they SMILE!Now the FOOD! Oh my oh my. One of the reviews mentioned their corned beef hash (a definite favorite of mine, IF done properly). We were told to have a seat and found an unclaimed table; within a few minutes we had coffee and had placed our order (scrambled eggs, bacon and yes, corned beef hash). The scrambled eggs were fluffy and really tasty; fours thick slabs of bacon and the hash!!! The cooks here did an incredible job; no mushy mess, but a delicious mixture of flavors that my tongue and stomach singing!Yeah, happy stomach and I will return."
"It can't get more local than this. If you want a typical NC breakfast this is the place. You also have to like salt since the dishes are very salty. The biscuits are flat, traditional NC biscuits and they serve redeye gravy made with coffee that you can pour over grits. It is a tiny place were local go to for breakfast. As you walk in you see the large grill were all breakfast is cooked. Service was very nice and fast. The price is great as well."
"I love this restaurant. Bright cheerful rooms, tables spaced apart, light shining in windows. Great staff. The best chicken salad and broccoli salad around. Fruit and muffin fresh tasting. I pretend like I'm going to order something else but I just can't. Hands down my favorite lunch."
"Bottom line: Breakfast at NC Bagel & Deli was not bad but not over the top. Adequate Meat Lovers omelet but a good bagel accompanying it. The Deets:I stopped in for breakfast one day at NC Bagel Cafe & Deli, located in the Grace Park complex in Morrisville. When you walk in for breakfast, it is more like a bagel shop and short order kitchen/grill type of restaurant put together. Their hours on their website currently display at the time of this writing open each day 7am-1pm. I decided to take advantage of both sides by ordering one of their omelet selections that included a toasted bagel with it. I ordered the Meat Lovers omelet that menu online describes "Made with 3 eggs, Sausage, Ham & Bacon Served with Bagel Or Bread" so I chose a plain bagel which was toasted with butter. Service ordering at the counter was good, I had to repeat a couple of things but went OK and then waited for my order that was for dining in to come up so I could carry it back to one of their tables. My order was up in good time, no long wait. The omelet was OK, nothing extravagant but I have to note that the sausage, ham, and bacon meat bits were sprinkled on top of the omelet instead of inside or mixed within it (I say bits, as they were not large pieces of meat but did the job for giving the meat flavor for the omelet, see pic). It was a short order type omelet that did the job. I do like the plain bagel I had with it, and would probably have one again with a cream cheese schmear next time. This quick breakfast did the trick and if wanting a quick short order breakfast and don't feel like going to a fast food place to get it then come here and get your fast breakfast fix."
"Nice cozy place that serves breakfast and lunch. We were in Durham area and looking for a nice local place to support. Foster's Market definitely matched what we were looking to find. We both ordered sandwiches that were fantastic. Nice size and well made. I ordered the Jammin Turkey Breast Sandwich (very yummy) with just the right amount of spice from the pepper jelly. My wife ordered the Roasted Turkey Breast sandwich, which she really enjoyed. Very nice place to visit with friendly people and plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. If in the area you need to visit."
"My mom and I visited this cafe for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. You order at the counter then find a place to sit inside or outside. I recommend outside for the view of the lake. It was the NC Peach French Toast with a Trophy Cloud Surfer for me and the Farmhouse Benedict with a cup of cheese grits and a Fullsteam Paycheck Pilsner for my mom. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. This spot is a must visit in Wendell."
"A nice small place to have breakfast. Service was very quick and friendly. I ordered the fried steak breakfast with grits. It was crispy smothered in what I assumed to be pork gravy. It was delicious. I'm from NY and we don't have that near us. Everything was good including the coffee. My only regret was I didn't see scrapple on the menu. Maybe I was not far enough south."
"NOFO @ the Pig is in Raleigh's Five Points area. The restaurant and gift shop was part of what was a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the 1950s to 1990s. The rest of the grocery store was where Lily's Pizza and Third Place Coffee shop are now. I loved how so many artifacts were on display in the restaurant and gift shop. NOFO has a small parking lot for its customers. Make sure to enter from Fairview as it is one way. The restaurant is on the first level and the gift shop is on the second although it has some seats for dining. You enter the restaurant from the Glenwood side. The Gift Shop entrance is from the Fairview side. The restaurant just has a few tables and they were spread out well. We were seated at a round table so that made conversations easier between everyone and the smaller side made it quieter inside. There are outside tables available as well.I ordered the orange and candy pecan salad and it was made without onions for me. I did add shrimp and was happy with the portion. I loved the salad as it all went together well.I went with the apple pie for dessert. I think it got microwaved as the pie was super hot in spots. Other than that the pie was great with actual apples and not a sugary apple filing.NOFO will be in the regular rotation."
"Jubala is a local coffee shop with many locations in the triangle. I frequent this location often for meetings and remote work. They have options for indoor and outdoor seating. Now this location is consistently busy so try to visit during off peak times. So this isn't a place to go to is you're looking for a quiet environment. And the Wi-Fi is spotty as well. The coffee is always consistent. My favorite is the draft vanilla pat latte. Their fresh dropped biscuits are great too! Plenty of free parking which is a plus. And there are other businesses within walking distance worth checking out as well."
"Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery, also known as "TOPO," is a UNC and Chapel Hill institution. TOPO is located atop the intersection of Franklin and Columbia Streets, the epicenter of big Carolina basketball postgame celebrations, in the heart of downtown Chapel Hill. This place is busy and popular year-round and especially during Carolina basketball and football seasons. My wife and her co-residents tried to come here to watch the 2022 Final Four game between Carolina and Duke (Coach K's last game), but it was full so they went to Linda's up the street instead.TOPO has been a regular dinner spot for my wife and her co-residents during her four years in Chapel Hill. When she brought me here for dinner, there was another group of residents and attendings on the patio. We arrived just before 6pm on a Thursday (non-game night) and were able to snag one of the high-top tables that overlooked Franklin Street. It was nice. I can't think of any other restaurants or bars in Chapel Hill that have as good of a city view, so this place definitely has that going for it.TOPO is also a versatile spot, functioning more as a sit-down restaurant during the daytime and more as a bar Thursday-Saturday nights (open until 2am those nights). This is a brewpub; they brew their own beer on-site. TOPO has multiple award-winning brews, a few of which are noted below. Along with beer, they have a full bar serving several different types of cocktails ($8-16 each) including a variety of mules ($8 each). The cuisine is American. During our dinner visit, most apps, salads, sandwiches, and bowls were priced in the $10-15 range and most entrees were about $15-30 each. Here's what we got:Beer* Beer Sampler ($13) - five-ounce pours of all of TOPO's six draft beers' Kenan Lager - Best in Show, Carolina Championship of Beer' Bell Tower Blueberry Wheat - Platinum Medal, World Championship of Beer' Old Well White - Platinum Medal, World Championship of Beer' Quite Right IPA' Alma Mater Amber Ale' Blackwood Mountain StoutStarters* Jalapeno-Cheddar Hushpuppies (6 for $6.99) - cornmeal hushpuppies with jalapeno, cheddar cheese and buttermilk, served with white cocktail sauceEntrees* Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($18.50) - locally-sourced crispy fried breast with mushroom cream gravy topped with diced tomatoes and scallions, mashed potatoes, garlic-sauteed French beans, and a buttermilk biscuit* TOPO Whiskey & Coke Braised Beef ($23.99) - boneless beef short rib slow-braised in a Whiskey & Coke sauce with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoesIf you've never been to TOPO before, the Beer Sampler is a great way to go. You can sample all of TOPO's draft list without committing to a full glass. When we visited, there were six beers on tap, regularly $6-8 per serving. The sampler came with a neat and informative placemat menu. It had a description of each beer along with tasting notes. My wife's favorites were the Quite Right IPA followed by the Bell Tower Blueberry Wheat. I thought all six beers tasted good and I didn't have a favorite. It was a three-way tie between the Kenan Lager, Old Well White, and Alma Mater Amber Ale, all of which were very different. I guess what I'm saying is you really can't go wrong with any of the in-house beers here.My wife recommended the Jalapeno-Cheddar Hushpuppies. She likes them because both their texture and flavor stand out. I agree - they were tasty and addictive. The Jalapeno-Cheddar Hushpuppies are one of the apps that she and her co-residents like to order and share. Others they like to get include the Lizard Chips ($9.50), which are sliced dill pickles and jalapenos deep-fried in TOPO beer batter and served with a "Baja" dipping sauce, and the Sweet Potatoes & Peppadew Pepper Jelly ($11.99), which are sweet potato fries with a cream cheese and pepper jelly. The entrees that we got, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the TOPO Whiskey & Coke Braised Beef, are TOPO classics. The fried chicken is an entree that one of my wife's attendings, who has been in Chapel Hill for decades, usually orders. It was yummy. Crispy, tender, and not too greasy. I liked the mushroom cream gravy and I thought both it and the green beans went well with the chicken. The braised beef was hearty and satisfying. I thought the meat was a little dry, but it was flavorful. I do recommend both of these dishes if you want to try what TOPO "is known for."Service was good, from the hostesses up front to our server, Coale. All the staff we interacted with were polite and efficient, and everything we ordered came out in a reasonable amount of time.We parked for free in a paved lot behind the restaurant. You can enter the lot via a small driveway on S Columbia St between TOPO and the Ackland Art Museum. TOPO is located on the third floor (highest floor).TL;DR version - I give TOPO four stars not for any one reason, but for the whole experience as a brewpub with a good view, good service, good drinks, and decent food."
"CASH ONLY. Letting non-local diners know since I don't carry an ATM card myself and luckily the Hubs had the cash or I would have ended up washing dishes! Lol. This is a good old-fashioned diner with many local patrons serving up Southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with sausage patty, grits (of course) and biscuits. This was my first time I ever tried red eye gravy. Think of it as a savory salty unami flavor similar to coconut amino acids. A light sprinkling of it on grits was perfect. We had not just one fluffy biscuit but two per order! Enough to take home and it still tastes great the next morning. Plus, we tried the fatbacks which are similar to pork rinds. Yum! Our sweet server Tanya poured out the Southern hospitality like molasses over hot cakes! We never had an empty cup of coffee during our breakfast here. We felt so welcome here in Raleigh and here at Pam's. Definitely ask for Tanya if you're visiting here.Parking in the lot."
"Brigs is a decent place for breakfast. The Creedmoor location is smaller than expected so that explains the large waiting area in the front. Service was mostly ok but I never got a refill on my tea like the rest of the table so that was odd. I ordered the Brigs Benedict and that came with grits or potatoes and I went with the grits but ended up with both instead. The eggs were cooked properly with runny yolks. The meal was filling enough without either side. The grits were cold so I didn't eat either side. I did like the tomatoes and included fruit. I'd eat here again but it wouldn't be my first choice."
"Very nice date night spot in Durham off Ninth St near Duke's campus. If you're in the mood for French cuisine this will satisfy your craving. The wine menu is INSANE how extensive it is. The service we had was great and the server was kind, friendly and attentive to our table ensuring he answered all our questions. The food was delicious and we were able to try some items we normally wouldn't be able to try. Everything was just delicious. If you're looking for a top notch place featuring French food, Vin Rouge is your place."
"What a cute coffee shop!! I finally live on this side of Durham where I'm close to more stuff like People's coffee! It was mt first time visiting but I've heard a lot about it from my friends because they serve Smashed Waffles here and in college Smashed Waffles used to be my favorite place until they closed down on Hillsborough st at NC State. The outside was decorated very cute, like a lawn. It's a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The inside is small so I'd suggest getting there early if you wanted somewhere to sit. They have barstools as well. I waited a while because there was only one person working. I had the Masala Chai Latte, and it was really good! I'd probably visit again."
"Great . Very clean , food and service was outstanding! ! I would highly recommend this place."
"Absolutely fantastic BBQ. This is an old gas station converted into a BBQ place, and it's clean but simple - but you're really not here for the ambiance or the service, you're here for the meat, and the meat is delicious. Easily the best brisket I've had in years, no question there, and it was helped along by some awesome sauces. The pulled pork was fantastic as well. The sides (I chose collard greens and fried okra) were great, very home-y. If I lived anywhere nearby, I'd go here all the time."
"This is a busy happening spot in Cary. I metwith a group to hang out and did not order anything but others did. They seemed to enjoy the pastries and sandwiches they ordered. We sat outside which was wonderful as the inside was packed. Next time I return, I willtry something off the menu.Service seemed to be efficient and people seemed to be enjoying their food and coffee."
"Since I was heading to Whole Foods in Raleigh on Wade Ave with the hubby, we decided to have an impromptu breakfast date at the new Drift. Being familiar with the Wilmington location, we were happy to have an opportunity to dine here.We went about 10:30a on a Sunday and there was a 35 min wait for inside but for first available, we were seated right away on the patio. Lots of sun , however out seat was partially shaded due to the umbrella at the table. A refreshing carafe was brought to us and we were able to place our drink orders. Hubby got the 'Amber' iced coffee and was able to sweeten it to his liking with raw sugar. We ordered the Big Brekkie to share - which came with bacon, toast, two perfectly toasted eggs, very well seasoned toasted tomatoes and mushrooms and some amazing breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious and we'd definitely can't wait to try other things on the menu. Note : They have mobile order pickup- in case you don't want to wait and would love Drift to go!"
"Very grateful for this restaurant in Brennan Station on Creedmoor Road (on the Chow side) when the Vegan relatives came to town recently. There were items that made non-Vegans happy as well. Order at the counter. Menu is large and enticing. Much of it is Indian inspired. Plenty of American options as well. They also have breakfast items all day and do smoothies.I tried the PVC Tikki, which is a burger made from potato, peas, carrot and spices, and toppings. Also got an order of sweet potato fries for the table. Husband tried the South of the Border Burger, which is an Impossible burger with toppings. Littles did the Strawberry Cream Waffle, one of whom made the mistake of pouring too much syrup on his, then couldn't eat it because it was "too sweet" LOL. Both types of fries were delicious.Others tried some of the Indian style offerings and loved them. I tasted the Samosa with potato & peas which comes with two sauces. It packed some heat and had lots of flavor.Dislikes: the drinks! Two "lemonades" for the kids were $17. They were bottled juices, so that was why, but it would have been nice to have some less expensive drink options. Didn't help that they forgot to bring them. Had to ask for them when the food arrived. No alcohol here, by the way. And my biggest dislike about the drinks is if you want water, they have small thin plastic cups that you pour yourself and no ice. Atmosphere is that of what it is, a counter-service restaurant. When they are preparing smoothies the blending is super loud."
"A down home family style restaurant with fast friendly service. A nice selection of breakfast foods, wide variety of lunch a dinner options. Daily specials but seems like once they are gone, that's it pick something else, they do erase it from the board when it's not available though, just don't be last to order it. Will definitely go back."
"Simple but good. The pricing is very good in comparison to the amount of food you receive. Things to note:- cash only- you order at the window- service is slow because it's made to orderEveryone was kind and patience in explaining what came with each meal. The food was hot and fresh - seasoned well. For example the bacon wasn't salty, very crispy."
