Great for plant-based, low-sodium diet ramen lovers! Came here for their grand opening special. I got the quartz ramen (creamy broth) and my parents got the amber ramen and spicy curry ramen (a miso broth, limited time until 3/31) and were able to substitute pork for chicken, egg for tofu, and bamboo for corn free of charge. Each were $15.50 before tax. Ultimately I think the ramen is a bit overpriced for what it is. They only provide 6 or so pieces of bamboo shoot, 2 pieces of fatty chashu, and 1 half egg. I found myself wanting more toppings. The noodles had a good bite to them, definitely my favorite part of the dish! I found the chashu and egg lacking in flavor. The chicken's breading was rather thick. Tofu was actually pretty good, I would definitely consider getting it instead of the egg. The broths were good not great, but remarkable for being plant based as creamy as they were. I didn't have a favorite- amber was a bit too much soy sauce, quartz was a bit lacking in flavor, and the spicy curry was actually a bit salty at times and lacked an umph. As for the service, it was opening day so food was slow to come out but servers were very nice. We waited a good 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. Overall, I appreciate their spin on ramen but I find the price to be expensive compared to other ramen shops like Tamashi (my houston favorite).

The ramen place has just opened near my boyfriend and I's place and we were excited to trying it! When we got there, we were greeted by a hostess (tall curly hair, think her name is Jacqueline). and seated promptly after notifying her we wanted dine in. She introduced herself and stated she'd be our waiter as well and asked if we could start off with drinks. We both asked for waters for now to start while we looked over the menu. We both were very interested in the spicy miso ramen so we decided to go with that. But Jacqueline mentioned that we could do the combo option which was the appetizer with the ramen for a better price. So we both decided to get an appetizer as well. I got the spicy beef gyoza since I'd never seen it at any ramen restaurant before. My boyfriend got the crispy chicken which was their version of the chicken karaage. It was very good. My only pointer is that the spicy beef gyoza were not really spicy, and they only gave us a tiny dollop of chili paste on the plate. I would recommend giving a small plate of it as optional instead of a dollop. They also only gave a small dollop of mayo on the crispy chicken plate which I think was meant for dipping but I would recommend giving a small bowl of ponzu sauce with the mayo, or a spicy mayo, and a larger amount instead of such a small dollop for 5 pieces that were fairly large. Not enough mayo at all for the crispy chicken so my boyfriend started dipping it in the gyoza sauce. We also decided to order a small bottle of hot sake and a bottle of Asahi beer along with a Kanikama sushi bites. The bites definitely were like their version of a sushi bake. We asked for wasabi which made the dish much better as there's no dipping sauce for it.Our spicy garnets came out after we finished the last sushi bite, just in time! It's surprisingly very delicious and still a rich flavor even though it's vegetable soup based! I'm super glad it's vegetarian friendly! Overall, The ramen was good, I added garlic and corn which was good and they actually gave alot of garlic for each of us where other ramen restaurants would be more stingy about how much garlic we get. Overall, we both agreed we'd definitely come back for the food. Service was also good with Jacqueline as she's very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and being a waitress!Towards the end of the dinner, Jacqueline had cleared our table as we finished up plates which I really love! However, the other waitress who was working, had come by our table and asked if she could take up our water glasses but we hadn't paid yet. Instead I actually asked for more water because they did not refill my water glass the entire meal. After we paid, the waitress (not jacqueline) came back and tried to take up our glasses again but I told her that my boyfriend still had his beer and I still had my sake so she needed to wait and she walked away. It was disappointing that she didn't know that she should wait to clear the remaining glasses from the table AFTER the customer has left. Otherwise it gave the impression that she was trying to rush us out even though there was no one else in the restaurant. I hope she knows now.Overall, great place for large groups, good pricing and service is good! I hope they stay in business for a very long time!

Food was delicious, service was TERRIBLE. Went in a little after 9 fully aware they close at 10. Limited seating because they were "closing" for the night. Didn't offer refills on our drinks. After asking for a refill, cup was taken from in front of me after only taking one sip. Reached for my cup over my bowl WHILE I was clearly eating over it. Kept complaining to each other they were tired pretty loud for entire restaurant to hear. Scurried to clean our table to get us out asap. Not the friendliest experience.

Rakkan uses only vegetable broth , which make the soup base have a lighter taste. Definitely recommend Rakkan if you're looking for alternative from pork or beef broth japanese ramen.

Decent Ramen, came here a couple of times ordering the shoyu and tonkatsu and I got to say I really liked their broth but for some reason after I ate it, I did not feel the best. The pork slices were thick but dry. Noodles were good, had a nice bite. For some reason i reallly enjoyed their beef dumplings! Service was okay!

Hands-down, the best Ramen place I've been to! I've ordered a few times through Uber eats and the Ramen travels very well. The broth is super rich and full of flavor. The noodles are quality noodles thick enough to be filling but not too thick that it's laborious to pick up with chopsticks. Every single topping in the Ramen is so full of flavor and adds to the dish. I love the pork belly so much. I have to order a double portion! This place is so good, I crave it at least once a week. The location is pretty convenient as well as it's in a strip with other AAPI businesses. So after having Ramen, I can stop a few doors down and get some Thai tea.

First time ordering togo from here. Getting home and before I eat I found out there is a long metal piece between the noodles. I guess it from the scrubbers when they washing dishes. Then I contacted them with email hoping they will reply so I can send them the pictures. However, no email response back from them and no phone call. What a joke with the food and their service!!
