Sitting here every 15-20 minutes, I had to ask for a menu no one has asked me if I wanted a drink or anything of the sort. Once I did receive the menu there was another 15-20 til I screamed to the waitress I was ready to order. She told me she had a few drinks before and would come after... This place has regular customers and that's their focus. The customer service is horrible from beginning to end. Their system holds multiple payments on your card so watch your bank account to ensure you are not charged multiple payments. The food is good.The drinks are trash.

Stumbled into Quotes on a Friday. I was so happy to be visiting a black-owned business! We were warmly greeted by the hostess (thumbs up to her she was so sweet). Ambiance wise this place is superrrrr cute. Definitely some photo ops if you wanted to get cute and snag an IG pic. And they played all the right music. They had a cute setup with the bar pretty centralized and tables scattered throughout. Service was good for the most part, but I wouldn't say it was phenomenal or anything. Food was so yummy and flavorful! The spinach dip here easily makes my top 5 list! Creole catfish I had was fire. French 75s we had were delicious. And the menu options were sooooo wonderful wow I'm mad I didn't have enough time to sample everything. I definitely want to run it back as I type this review haha.Definitely would 100% recommend and will be returning next time I hit up H Town!

Quotes was a meh experience. The customer service on the other hand was spectacular. The concept is dope and there are quotes all over the place, as I'm sure y'all can imagine. We ordered the following: -Fried Chicken Sandwich w/Potato Dippers -Mardi Gras Tacos -Order of Potato Dippers-Pineapple Mimosa Carafe Our waitress/server was really helpful and answered all the questions we had. She also said that she loved the Mardi Gras Tacos, however, to order a side of fries because they aren't filling. Well, I beg to differ, the tacos are hella filling! They are filled with fixings and shrimp/crawfish. Chile I was stuffed like a holiday turkey lmaooo...do yall hear me?! I did not need the fries. Did I eat them? Do yall know me? Okay! The tacos were good, not great. I heard the fried chicken sandwich did what it was supposed to do tho. Cool. They are not stingy with the portions either, so we thank yall. The mimosa had more champ and less juice and again, we thank yall. Overall, the experience was nice. Overall about a 3.5 rating. I may return for happy hour if I'm in the area. So we shall see!

I remember visiting this place after they first opened and when I looked at their menu I was not impressed or interested in what they offered especially for the price. Apparently neither were other patrons. So I saw online that they took time to review the feedback and revamp their menu, and did they!!I returned for a friend's birthday brunch on a Sunday. It was pretty packed with people waiting but we were in their party room area upstairs. The only thing I didn't care about that area was how low the tables were for eating. You basically would have to eat off your lap. So I opted to eat at the bar downstairs with some friends. I ordered the fried fish and instead of grits I got the mac & cheese. I added a side of yams & greens with their waffle corn bread with a cocktail. Everything was delicious and I was truly satisfied.

We went Christmas Day 2023, nice environment. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable. Problem begin with I tried to order a virgin margarita. ( non alcoholic ) drink. Server said they do not offer non alcoholic drinks per bartender.What? I could not understand this. My daughter order firecrackers shrimp and boudin egg rolls. She and granddaughter said they were ok!My daughter got the fish sandwich. She said fish had a good taste but bun needs toasting. Granddaughter got the wings buffalo sauce (ok). I ordered the soul food platter, fried wings with yams and greens and cornbread. Now all the food came out individually because one cook. So the idea of eating together went down. I was the last one to receive my food , by that time I was not interested in it. The wings seemed undercooked, yams and greens , had no flavor. I tried it will not be returning.

Just had a great brunch experience at Quotes in Willowbrook Mall. The vibe is so lively with old school R&B playing all the time. Plus, parking's a breeze with the mall lot. They've got a massive bar area and even a patio! The drinks are a bit pricey, but trust me, they're worth it. And shoutout to the bartender and waitress, super friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back for more good vibes and tasty food!

This is my second time going to quotes while visiting Houston and I will say it was even better than the first time. Most definitely will come back during my next visit. The service and amazing and food is delicious. The music was really good as well.

Everything here is amazing. This one has been on my list to try for quite some time now. I'm glad I finally was able to stop in. They're serving up some amazing food. Great quality food. They're happy hour on food is probably one of the best and the restaurant industry. You are in for a treat if you stop by here. Food: we had quite the options for food. I let off with the oxtail empanadas. They were absolutely amazing. The beef was so tender and flavorful. Every single bite. The gumbo is probably one of the best gumbo I've had in a long time. It had just the right amount of kick to it. The sausage and shredded chicken was simply amazing. Every single bite was a delight.I tried some of my wings and they were absolutely amazing as well. Crispy and full of flavor for each bite. The shrimp are pretty good, I think they had a little too much batter and seasoning, but they were pretty good. Very nice size fresh shrimp I will give them that. The Boudin eggrolls, however, were amazing. This is an easy five star review and I will be back soon.Customer customer service: the customer service was top-notch. Even though they were busy and there was a little bit of a wait everybody checked on us and made sure our food came out. We waited for quite a while. I will admit that, but it was worth the wait because the food was amazing. TYTI was waitress and she was absolutely amazing. Great personality. Very personable and did a great job. All of the staff is very friendly. The gentlemen picking up all the dishes was friendly. The Cook that brought out my gumbo from New Orleans he was very nice. The staff here is top-notch and they're doing a great job.We will definitely be back here soon.

My friends and I tried this place for dinner in April. Parking was not a problem, because the restaurant is located at Willowbrook Mall. Therefore ample amount of parking is available. We made reservations for 8:30pm and did not have to wait to be seated. We sat outside on the patio where they had a fire pit and propane heaters being used because it was chilly. The music was great. R&B and some Hip Hop was played all night. The crowd was giving grown and sexy this evening. Once seated it took a while for a waiter to approach the table. About 10-15 min passed before being greeted and asked what we'd like to drink. We placed our drink orders and that took quite a while too. A long wait time for our food as well. I suggest packing a lot of patience when visiting this restaurant. Our waitress was good and attentive. The manager also made sure to check on guests frequently throughout the night. I ordered a drink called the swirl. The liquor in the drink mix was not good and I would not recommend it. My friends enjoyed their drinks, but I cannot remember what they ordered. I ordered the Quotes Captain's Platter. It came with a large piece of catfish, 4 jumbo shrimp, and two sides. I ordered greens and mac & cheese for my sides. The greens were seasoned very well and the mac & cheese were creamy and delicious. One friend had the catfish and grits and enjoyed her meal. The other friend had the oxtail mac & cheese as her entree and the Boudain egg-rolls for an appetizer. She loved her meal and I can second that because she let me try some of her food. We were so full we opted out of dessert. If you enjoy hookah they do have a vendor that provides hookah for a fee. Overall I like this place and would visit again. I did not like how slow the service was, but the food and ambiance were great. I heard on Sundays it is really fun and a lot of people do their Sunday Fundays at Quotes. I will have to visit on a Sunday next time.
