Prices are getting too high here. The staff do not give receipts, so you have no idea what the fees charged are. I don't like the automatic gratuity charged for 5 or more people. That is so ridiculous. Most restaurants don't charge until 6 or more people. We also don't know how much the restaurant charged us for tip because we did not get a printout of prices. Very shady. The restaurant itself is in a rundown building and looks old and kind of dirty inside. Some dishes are decent. Most are too salty for my palate.

If you're looking for a mom and pop restaurant with authentic viet food, this is the place.Came here on Thankgiving to a relatively empty restaurant. I was craving viet comfort food and this place definitely executed. We ordered:-canh chua w/ shrimp (sweet and sour soup) - this reminded me of my dad's cooking and I was sooo happy -ca kho (clay pot rice) - perfectly executed; fish was cooked well and the sauce is sweet and savory. paired great with rice-canh ga chien nuoc mam (fried fish sauce wings) - the flavor on this was not it... I tasted zero nuoc mam and that was the only reason I ordered this dishService was as expected, but they did charge $5 for hot tea....not sure when viet restaurants started doing that because it used to be free lol

Ate a family style meal! The bun cha was good. I like how the meatball had hints of lemongrass and it had some spice overall. The catfish+pork was so good too. Addicting to eat over rice. The veggies was good, this is my favorite veggie to get at Vietnamese restaurants. I think the sauce had some shrimp/seafood flavor so definitely ask if you have allergies. We went during the weekday around 4:30 and were the only ones there. Waiters was really nice and checked up on us once in awhile, but then we had to call them for water refills often. We were there for a long time though, just enjoying our meal slowly.

Really great place off the beaten path. Friendly staff, fast service and delicious food! I went between lunch and dinner so it wasn't busy which I loved. I only tried Bun Cha Ha Noi but I'm sure everything is great. Oh I got Vietnamese iced coffee too, highly recommend!

Review based on only the mi quang.Had a hankering for mi quang and qhb was able to slap it outta me!Broth was served on the "wetter" range and on the fishier-saltier side (more doctored up versus relying on the natural stock).Factoring the fact that decent mi quang is so rare and the overall package of this dish = 5/5.

Ownership changed so if you've dined here for a long time then you'll notice a subtle change from ingredients to presentation. The prices are a bit higher but presentation a bit sloppier and ingredients are not as high quality. It's subtle but definitely not the same, for example the cut of beef in the lotus beef salad is changed. Unfortunately small changes will amount to larger changes and eventually I'll probably have to cross this off my list. The old owners took pride in the quality of their food but I doubt these new owners will keep it up.

Pretty good viet restaurant in bellaire. Their spring rolls were way better than the egg rolls. My personal fav dish would be com tam(rice plate). You're able to choose from 3 diff toppings to add on (meats/eggs). Portions are fairly good for only $10.99 .

Yummy com tam. Good side portion and fair price ... and each component was tasty -- I liked how they also had a crispy puff pastry thing filled with something to go with the rice! I also like how they give a little bowl of a light soup to cleanse your palate. The service was nice and fast, and they take card with no fee! Always a plus for places in Bellaire Chinatown and Viet Town!

Great Vietnamese go to place that's never packed. Food is great for rice plates and ambiance is as you would expect for an old school Vietnamese restaurant along Bellaire. I always get the Combo rice plate and never have been disappointed.
