Portara Fresh Mediterranean

We shared a tasty gyro bowl and a gyro pita. The gyro bowl came as a salad with gyro meat. My gyro pita had fresh purple onions and tomatos and lettuce and tzatziki sauce, and french fries. It could have used a smidge more tzatziki sauce but still awesome.

Came here with a friend for my first time visiting. Fabulous service, wonderful food. Was never rushed to finish our food so the table could be turned. Can't wait to go back and try other things!

This nice restaurant is located in a dead shopping center, and I hate that for them because it deserves all of Pearland's business. First off when you walk in, you are instantly transported to the Greek islands and mainland. The blue and white decor was super cute and refreshing. In terms of the service it is a "wait to be seated" restaurant, but there was no host so we sat ourselves. My advice-- put a bell or notification machine on door so the host can be more attentive. The food was great. I had the gyro (guy-ro) pita and hummus (hum-mous) and have to say it was really good. The hummus was just garlicky enough and the serving size was enough for two. My only complaint is the $8 price tag as I can buy all the ingredients for that price and make more servings at home. It seemed absurd to pay $8 for hummus considering my pita and fries was $13. The gyro was moist and juicy, but the star of the show was the warm and soft pita as well as the garlic sauce they put on top. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back to support this local business. I believe it's the same owner as Taglia and another restaurant in Pearland. #supportlocal

We've gotten takeout twice and eaten in store once. In the restaurant, the service was great, and the food was perfect. I got the cod, lemon potatoes, and grilled vegetables, and it was so good. I got the same meal takeout, and it was rough. The potatoes weren't done all the way, and the fish was soggy. I pit everything in the air fryer to see what I could salvage. I'd go here again, but I wouldn't get takeout.

This is our second visit in one week. The servers are attentive and friendly, the food is absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere is wonderful.Met one of the owners, Jordan, this afternoon.Both trips had gyros and french fries, as well as the pita bread and tzatziki. We will be back next week

The chef had put his/her choicest ingredients and delicately done falafels, gyros and miraculously even the lightly seasoned and choicely grilled chicken. The lentil soup was delicately flavoured as was my arugula salad!!!! Wonderful. The place was full and the people amazingly professional and welcoming. A casual yet sophisticated place that I would come again for Mediterranean!!!!

This time we ordered to go and I was so impressed with the quality of their to go food. Everything we ordered was so fresh and delicious. It's very rare that a restaurant's to go food taste as great as eating at the establishment. If you haven't tried this place I definitely recommend. The beef tenderloin is still my favorite. The cod texture was great but could use a little bit more flavor. I did not mind the lack of flavor because it was cooked so perfectly and no fishy taste. The cheesecake was definitely something different. In my opinion I would prefer just baklava alone not with the cheesecake. I'm excited to go back and try it.

We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I really like the colorful decor. Delilah was our server and she was great! Very accommodating and kind. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place!Upgrade the fries to feta fries.. you won't regret it!

Great Greek food. As good as any Houston Greek restaurant I've ever tried... yes, even that one you're thinking about.Great food, small shop = awesome results

We dropped in after a long day. We were greeted warmly with great smiles. The restaurant was clean and bright. Comfortable. The menu has a variety without being overwhelming. They also have a few thing that others don't-like octopus . The dolmas, spanakopita and Baba Ganoush was wonderful. The gyro lamb pita was yummy! And they have wine at very reasonable prices. We got there 30 minutes before closing and they treated us well. We never felt rushed to leave, even after they were officially closed. Lots of parking and easy access to main streets. I live North but I will be back. Really enjoyed it! Thank you!
