I may have found my new favorite Italian cuisine in RDU! I reallly wanted some pasta the other night and this restaurant hit the mark! We ordered cocktails, lobster ravioli with jumbo shrimp, and veal marsala. That saffron sauce in the ravioli was perfection and very fresh. I even tried the veal and it was tender and well seasoned. They serve plenty of pasta combos, including a build your own option, pizza, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. They offer weekday lunch specials until 230p and daily specials, such as:$8 martinis on Tuesday and FridayAPPY Hour from 2-6 on Monday and Saturday$5 mimosas on Sunday

As much as I hate to do this.... And I really do! I went in to order a dinner to go. I ordered a lasagna and a Low Carb Salmon with sautéed "fresh" vegetables. I thought the bill was a little off but I was in a hurry. Paid and off I went home! Get home and darn if I was charged $20 for the salmon- it was supposed to be $13.00!! LOW CARB MENU! The salmon was as dry as the Sahara desert! And cold, And had NO SEASONING! It was supposed to have Italian seasoning! The veggies were soggy and cold. They were pretty much disgusting and not very good with the dry as hell salmon! And also included was SPAGHETTI w/ marinara sauce! Just what this diabetic needed! NOT! This disgusting meal cost me $20 and was supposed to be low carb- (located on the back page of their menu, marked $13.00) . I even told the waitress I wanted the low carb salmon !The lasagna- that I got for my friend- was just ok. The bread they use to serve was good- this doughy piece of bread was as tough and dry as my salmon. This use to be my favorite restaurant. It use to be solid! I love the owner! I have been going for years!! I have even told him the food quality and quantity has gone down hill. But since Covid- this place has plummeted to the depths of "hell no, I don't wanna go!" no thank you- there's other Italian restaurants that are a lot better. Unfortunately, they aren't 5 miles down the street from my house. I more than likely won't be back- unless someone else is paying or I'm going to the bar to drink- Sorry. Makes me sad to write such a bad review- but unfortunately, this meal deserves a poor review.

I would actually give this place a 3.5. The ambiance is a 10/10-feels like an Olive Garden with the operatic Italian music and bread and butter appetizer. The service is friendly and prompt. The reason for the less stars is some of the dishes are basic and could be made at home. I do agree the lobster ravioli is delicious. However, I did feel like it lacked some vegetables. The chef's specialty noodle dish tasted like pizza toppings on lo mien. So, I would not order that specific dish. Overall, this is a cute, comfy restaurant with a nostalgic 90's vibe.

Service was really good- everybody was nice and able to answer any questions we had. The environment was nice as well, very cute like a nonna decorated it herself. The food itself was alright- a little bland but there was a lot of older folks there so I can see why. All the dishes were also real oily? We got the garlic knots, side salads, carbonara, chicken parm, and two fountain drinks which came out to be just under $70 before tip.All this being said I would definitely go again! Bring cash to make the bill a little cheaper too (no card service fee)

Never had a bad meal here. The grandma pie is UNREAL, I was immediately transported back home to The Bronx. The seafood dishes are also delicious and have been our go-to for the past two Christmas Eve's!

Pizza was decent. Was light on sauce and lost of air bubbles. Greek salad was good. I got takeout so I can't speak to service.

The food did not taste authentic. Taste like it's from the frozen food section. Most of the appetizers were not good. The lasagna & Alfredo's were a miss. But from friends that were with me, the pizza & calzones were good.

In a city with a lot of Italian/pizza restaurants I would not recommend Pomodoro as a place to visit. The bread sticks we got while waiting for food were as hard a brick. We ordered in a timely fashion, we ordered a salad and I decided to try carbonara for the first time (mistake!). The restaurant gave major Olive Garden vibes and was playing pop music pretty loudly which was off-putting. My pasta came out first and despite being told the salad was almost ready (how long does it take to make a salad?!) We had to ask another server where it was after a couple of minutes more of waiting. He came back with the dish and said they must of forgotten about it. Overall the food was pretty bad, the dressing for the salad was weird, the lettuce in the salad wasn't fresh and was bitter to taste and my carbonara drowning in sauce and sat like a brick on my stomach. After leaving I continued to feel sick to my stomach the rest of the night. Safe to say I will not be returning.

The service was great. Oir server was very friendly and did not rush us. The bread was warm and we could add unlimited spices and cheese to the olive oil. The salads were fresh and super crisp. Just the way we like them. The dinners were pupping hot, big portions and delicious. I am not sure why this restaurant was given a 3 by a previous customer. It was amazing and definitely worth a visit!!

FOOD POISONING.I have to give this place a one star for the fact the Ravioli game my girl friend food poisoning. We called them, asked for a refund, and only offered partial refund. They hung up on us. If I had seen the 3.2 star on Yelp, I would have gone somewhere else.
